Lake house vacation rentals in Taupō

Lovely location on the lake. You do get people walking by, on public path in front of the house, but really was not a bother to us. It was never intrusive in any way, instead relaxing to watch from the deck area or tucked away in lounge room. Plenty of room in the house. Very neat and tidy. Well stocked kitchen for utensils. BYO milk, butter, coffee beans but supermarket a just a 7 min drive, so easy to get these items or anything else you may want. There was tea bags and instant coffee, olive oil. We found it to be a very relaxing place with beautiful views/sunsets.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Blick. Wir haben Michelle kurz getroffen und sind begeistert von der Gastfreundschaft. Danke für Müsli, bacon, Eier, Schokolade etc.! Wir haben den Blick auf den See sehr genossen und waren extrem zufrieden! Überall waren frische Blumen, wirklich sehr liebevoll vorbereitet. Die Terrasse war ein Traum ! Rhys home was perfect 👌 beautiful views so spacious and private had all we needed Rhy was also very accommodating offering early check in if needed .. the home is like 2 homes in one great for a big family .. but was perfect for the 2 of us as well highly recommended.. views of the lake were stunning and the lake is only a 1 minute walk

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The house is spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, offering everything we needed. The location is perfect too, it nestled in a quiet area, yet just a short drive from town. One of the highlights is the stunning outdoor deck overlooking the river. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee or unwinding in the evening with the peaceful sound of the water. The interior is cosy yet modern, and the kitchen is fully equipped, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Just few steps across the road and you will be right at the Lake, great area for fishing. This place is a gem. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our weekend here, and would definitely want to stay here again next time we're in Taupo. Had everything we needed, warm, great lake front location, and really close to the sailing club for pizza etc

really good value, typical kiwi bach from the 1970s. had everything you needed including a very well kitted out kitchen with a full size fridge freezer. the pictures accurately described the place. we loved the Woodburner. our dogs loved playing outside. great for big family trips as loads of space. thanks Jacqui 😀

The Pipi Pad was outstanding in every way. Well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms giving 3 couples plenty of room whilst staying. Tastefully decorated with extremely comfortable beds and gorgeous linen. Heaps on offer to to while staying there, ie books, games, ping pong, bikes and spa pool. Lovely touch by leaving fresh milk for us and allowing us to use things from the pantry and fridge. Jeremy’s communication was fabulous - we had no problem finding the Pipi Pad and getting in was easy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Taupo.

There are only a handful of places where kids and adults can feel comfortable and at home, and Dan and Toni's home has a welcoming and warm vibe. Since there's ample open space, it's a perfect holiday home for families, especially kids. Also, the amenities Dan and Toni have provided are exceptional. Absolutely recommended. My toddlers were in awe and didn't want to get inside the car on the last day. Dan and Toni were very flexible regarding check-in and check-out and very cooperative.

We really enjoyed our family stay at Karen’s place, super clean and tidy, the house itself was excellent, new/modern with great tech, well designed. Location was awesome, quiet street, easy lake access. House had everything you needed and more, loved the espresso machine. Great communication and checkin/house instructions were detailed and easy. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend.

Loved the homeliness of this place, was comfortable and cosy. Particularly loved the environment, quiet and peaceful and close to the lake and river walks.

Very comfortable and beautiful home in a safe spot close to town. Had everything I need for a very comfortable stay.

We loved this place. Great living area for socialising, well equipped kitchen, showers had awesome water pressure, several lovely areas to sit outdoors. Perfect for our family get together with some of us staying onsite and others in the town centre. And later some items we'd left behind were returned to us which we were grateful for.

We had a great stay, the large, gated off street parking area suited our needs to securely park with our trailer. House was comfortable and had everything we needed for our family. We enjoyed doing one of the puzzles 😅. Would definitely stay here again for future trips to Taupo.

Such a beautiful stay. Perfect family home away from home. 2 families both with 1yr olds and they loved it. Had everything we needed. Great recommendations for coffee and playgrounds. Anna was always available to message. Loved the cook book selection!!

Such a magical spot! Quiet, peaceful, we could have easily stayed a week or more. Very well catered, and believe it or not we didn't miss having wifi at all. Highly recommended.
