Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sumatra

highly recommend for those who comes from city and would like to feel staying in Kampung house (like me & do not have any families staying in kampung). Still maintaining the heritage of the original house yet modernised toilets for current context (I think city ppl will always hv toilets concern when gng holidays) I felt so peaceful & wish I could stay longer. There's a small stream that is kids friendly depth, also there's pool for the kids to enjoy. My family loved this place too. sadly no durian yet when I came (June'25). the receptionist says best time to come in Jul/Aug. Falling in love with Perak & Will definitely return again hopefully & try other houses (Rumah Kuning or Kuda).

This is the most homely feeling I've ever had in a homestay!The house is as neat as the photos.Next time I come to Golden Hills, I will definitely come back to this B&B! Love it

Such a lovely Airbnb! We really enjoyed staying here. The bed was super comfortable, and the location was amazing as we could walk anywhere we wanted. Demi and her family were fantastic and communicative hosts, as they made us feel really welcome and let us check in early, and also looked after our bags upon checkout too. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Georgetown!!

Host was nice and friendly. The instruction provided was clear and concise regarding the accommodation. Place is clean and setup in a nice layout. House is located in a peaceful neighbourhood and easy to find. 24 Hr convenience store is a short 5 minutes walk.

Perfect place to spend a night in Bukit Lawang on a budget! Got everything we needed. The balcony overlooking the river is a great place to relax! Communication was easy and helpful!

We had a very pleasant stay at Farhi’s place. The house looks exactly like the photos, and everything matched the description provided. LRT Jelatek is just a 10-minute walk away, and the free car park was a great convenience. We stayed for 3 nights and truly felt at home. Highly recommended! And , there are a lot of information and reminders in the house too. We use those info provided in the house to get access to the places we want. Thanks Farhi! Will come back again!

I would thoroughly recommend for a stay in KL. We had an incredible time and would definitely come back. The flat is incredibly well kept, spacious and easy to access.

Penny's place is easy to access to trendy shopping malls and many of tourists attractions. Good restaurants and cafes are also very accessible within a reasonable walk. The room has a sense of home equipped with all the things you need. You can start a life right away without anything. We'd love to stay again. Thank you so much, Penny!

We liaise with Tony who was a great guy - friendly and hospitable to say the least. He went out of his way to fetch us when our Grab dropped us at the wrong location. Gary explained everything and was kind and patient. The location is just a stone’s throw away from TRX hence everything we need is within reach. Apartment was amazing. The highlight of our stay was the view at night. If we have to find a thing or two that needs improvement - it would be that the pillows need to have better head support and that the washer needs to come with simple instructions. Other than that, everything was top-notched. Two huge TVs made us not want to leave the place. The place is beautifully done up. The owner definitely has good taste. Will definitely return in future. Nook's apartment was by far the best I've been in JB. It was extremely clean and well maintained and it didn't have a musky smell at all. The indoor playground was a hit with the kids and all the amenities right down to the nitty gritty are readily available in the apartment. It is also only a short walking distance to Legoland so that's a plus point. Nook was one of the rare hosts who goes over and beyond the check in with me, and give local recommendations and suggestions to what to do. We had a lovely stay overall and felt right at home. We will be back again!

Excellent overall host and location!

We loved our stay. The apartment is spacious and well kept. Easy to find and easy to self check in. The location is a little bit out of the centre, which we always look for. But it’s easy to get a grab or a train into the centre. The trains are air conned so we loved being on them. There are plenty of great restaurants near by and street food places within walking distance. The view at night from the apartment and the pool is the highlight. Recommend a night time swim with the lit up skyline. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return the KL. Thank you.

Andrew’s condo is immaculate. Everything has been so thoughtfully considered. It made for an exceptionally comfortable and safe stay. And Andrew is a very responsive and helpful communicator - even graciously accepting feedback. It’s only been 1 day, and my two teenagers are already asking to return!

This place was truly an oasis in KL. Everything about this place was well thought out and functional. The air management with the two air conditioners and overhead ceiling fans was excellent.
