First trip to Faroe Islands - wonderful welcome from our hosts with plenty of local tips. Great place to stay from which to travel all over the islands. Hot tub well used by us.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem herzlichen und gemütlichen Häuschen war einfach perfekt. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an unglaublich wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Haus ist nicht nur liebevoll eingerichtet, sondern auch makellos sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet. Es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt – von ausreichend Geschirr über eine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln bis hin zu Feuerholz für den Kamin war an alles gedacht. Die ruhige, stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre und die atemberaubende Aussicht sind ideal, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und abzuschalten. Ein zusätzliches Plus ist das interessante kleine Museum ganz in der Nähe, das einen Besuch wert ist. Auch die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war super: Hans und Bina sind stets gut erreichbar. Kurz gesagt: Ein traumhafter Ort mit einer ganz besonderen Atmosphäre.

Lovely cabin and really nice views of the fjord. Kitchen was well-equipped. Toilet/shower a bit older than the rest of the cabin but worked well.

Virkelig hyggeligt hjem med rigtig flot udsigt. Huset indeholdt alt, hvad vi behøvede og mere til. Vi var 10 personer over 3 generationer og der var god plads til alle. Oplysende og opmærksom værtinde.

The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. The place was cozy, comfortable and had all the amenities we would have wanted.

We greatly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful farm cottage. After each full day's outings, it was wonderful to return to this warm, cozy cottage with its lovely views over the hills. It is described accurately on the website, is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Its location makes it easy to go anywhere on the islands. Tórður was a most helpful host. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

Vi havde nogle dejlige dage i Torshavn i denne bolig. Den ligger meget centralt og med kort gå afstand til centrum og gode busforbindelser. Der er en fantastisk udsigt fra lejligheden ud over Tinganes og havet, men uden at være klods op af industrihavnen. Et rigtig godt sted at bo i Torshavn.

Vi havde et skønt ophold i Gunnvás bolig. Vi følte os virkelig hjemme i de dejlige, kunstneriske omgivelser. Tórshavn centrum var desuden indenfor gåafstand. Vi kommer gerne igen!

Beautiful apartment right in the heart of Torshavn. Walking distance to restaurants, old town, and parliament with views of the marina. Plenty of parking available in the area but not at the apartment itself. There is a narrow staircase up to the third floor which is where you stay. We loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone staying in Torshavn

Virkelig hyggelig og god lejlighed. Manglede ikke noget. God plads. Sød og imødekommende vært. Ro og fred. Kan anbefales Lugtede af færøsk mad/får ellers var alt super fint.

Three of us greatly enjoyed our stay in Hoyvík. The apartment was perfect and made a great base for exploring the Islands. If you want to visit Torshavn I would consider the bus as parking can be problematic during the day. However parking at the apartment was straightforward. The local eateries are also recommended.

This home probably has the best views in the Faroe Islands - just steps from the water with unobstructed views in every direction. The home is not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and the location made up for the less-than-fancy bathroom. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The walk up the hill was a great way to get in a couple minutes of cardio each day. :)

Wir sind 2 Motorradfahrer und nutzen Sunneva Wohnung 3 Tage als unser "Basislager". Die Wohnung befindet sich im Keller und ist komplett ausgestattet. Wir freuten uns über sehr gute bequeme große Betten. Für Familien mit einem kleinen Kind wäre sogar ein Kinderbett da. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet, sodass man sich selbst verpflegen kann. WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei in der Küche und Wohnzimmer. In den Schlafzimmern bedingt. Unsere Motorräder konnten wir direkt vor dem Eingang parken. Wir fanden, es waren 3 sehr schöne Tage hier gewesen. Vielen Dank sagen Jörg & Gerald aus Sachsen/Deutschland

Magnificent home right in key bit of Torshavn - lovely traditional house overlooking the main harbour. Minutes to walk to best coffee shop and restaurants- parking nearby works well. There couldn’t be a better place to stay in the Faroe Islands, we can’t recommend it enough. Additionally Marna and Matras tipped us off about the imminent arrival of the king and queen’s first royal visit to Torshavn and they parked their yacht right in front of the house. We felt very privileged to be staying in the best place. Lovely house and hosts

Rigtig dejlig stor og hyggelig lejlighed. Mulighed for skønne gåturer i nærheden, samtidig med at boligen ligger tæt ved Thorshavn. Gudrid tog imod os med åbne arme, viste rundt i lejligheden. På køkkenbordet stod et friskt franskbrød og marmelade, i køleskabet var der ost, smør, mælk og juice. Vi var i lejligheden i 9 dage, Gudrid og Jensen var behjælpelige og interesseret i hvad vi oplevede uden at vær påtrængende. En rigtig skøn ferie, hvor vi nåede næsten en hver afkrog af Færøerne.
