Kihachikan South Nozawa Onsen

Kihachikan South is a luxurious and homely family chalet. It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one smaller single room. The light filled, open plan kitchen and living room features a locally made oak kitchen that includes a Miele oven and induction hob and Miele dishwasher. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the main amenities including; a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and full cooking utensils should they be required. The comfy sofa seating area focusses around a cast iron pellet stove and the latest Bang & Olufsen television and sound system including live feed from the ski hills and Netflix. The daily readings from the traditional barograph will keep you ahead of the weather apps …….. possibly! The bedrooms maintain a traditional feel with shoji windows, wooden beams and authentic wall coverings with the addition of discreet blinds, wooden flooring and western style beds. The bedroom wardrobes in Japanese oak were made to order in Nagano. The bathrooms include walk in showers with locally made hinoki shower benches. The upstairs bathroom with both slate and wooden flooring also contains a separate seating area and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom enjoys great views over to Togari and Mount Myoko. Dyson hair dryers are supplied in the two main bedrooms. The artwork throughout the Kihachikan South is a mixture of original Japanese woodblock prints and an extensive collection of original 16th & 17th century antique maps of Asia. Kihachikan South has a Miele washing machine and separate Miele clothes dryer.The ski, board and boot room is downstairs and shared with Kihachikan North and contains snow shoes for guest use (when available).

Renovated in 2024! A private rental inn in the heart of Nozawa Onsen Village

We have a shower room available this season! You can relax even with small children! You can enter whenever you want! Located in the center, you can go to the slopes, hot springs, and restaurants without a car. Recommended for families, friends, and groups as it is a private rental. We renovated a traditional house in Nozawa Onsen Village, and I think you can feel comfort and timelessness while emphasizing simplicity and functionality. The house has a drying room in the basement, a guest room on the 1st and 2nd floors, and a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Baths, outdoor baths, and hot spring facilities are also within walking distance. There is also a shower room in the house. There is a kitchen so you can cook, and there are many restaurants so you can enjoy delicious food. 2-minute walk to the bus stop to the slopes 5-minute walk to the nearby slopes Parking for one car is available

Old fashioned cosy house has 3 bedroom sleeps up to 5 or 6 ideally located in the gateway of the Shiga Kogen National park. The private house enjoys ample parking and stunning panoramic views of open farmland and the mountains range. You can spend a cool summer away from the hot and humid Japan. Gorgeous hiking routes in Shiga Kogen are 30 minutes drive beyond, which Suzie will suggest the best route for you. 30 mins walkaway to Snow mokey park, 10 mins away to best Hotspring(Waku Waku no yu).

Akari bright 4bedroom apartment above Swiss Bakery

Akari Apartments are comfortable and spacious. In a great area of the Village just 200m to the slopes and an easy flat stroll into the centre of the village. The closest public onsen is just 50 meters down the road and free to use for our guests. The 4 bedroom apartment is perfect for 2 or 3 families with kids or group of friends (comfortable up to 10 person). You live above the famous Swiss bakery for your daily bread, pastry and Pizza supply. Other Japanese Restaurants are close by too.

Well insulated ecohouse; built with natural materials, insulation and wooden cladding. Hydronic panel heaters, using energy efficient heat pumps. Cosy rooms and clean dry air quality inside the house. Solar panels offset energy use. Close to Shinkansen- Easy access to Tokyo Great views over the valley! The apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floors. Close to 'Sparena' Hot Sprngs. Terrace and great views. Short walk to village center, shops restaurants and free local onsens.

Contemporary Japanese design two bedroom self-contained apartment located in quiet area halfway between Oyu Onsen at the center of the village and the Nagasaka Gondola, snuggled in a pocket next to the mountain. 5-10 mins walk to both Nagasaka gondola (about 300m) and Hikage bowl area (400m to Yu-road escalator). Similar distance to the village center shops, cafes and restaurants. Comfortable for families and small groups of 4-5 with or without children, maximum 6.
