Surf Lesson Experience in Alentejo

Regardless of the experience level, every lesson have a duration of 2 hours: the theoretical part is in the first 20 – 30 minutes, immediately followed by the warm-up, and then it’s 1 hour and 30 – 40 minutes of practice in the water. The role of the instructor adapts to the experience and progress of the student, always encouraging his/her autonomy and stepping in to suggest, correct and criticise through a thorough analysis and continuous feedback. By providing a set of goals (each with specific content), students can better evaluate themselves, manage their challenges and expectations and, along with their instructor, learn, improve and thrive. These lessons promise a lot of fun and are aimed not only at students who want to venture in a surf lesson for the first time but also for those who are already familiar with the sport, since the group members are always divided by the instructors according to their experience level. It’s a great environment for those who enjoy learning in a group, challenge the others while being challenged in return, and share a lot of laughs. It’s also a great opportunity to check what students consider their physical/psychological limitations, and get to the end of the lesson completely worn-out (there’s no way we can deny that), but with a sense of fulfilment and self-accomplishment by overcoming those said limitations. You will learn about the natural behaviour of horses, how to read their body language, connect with them and experience this through gentle activities. These activities can be sharing space with horses, moving in synchronicity with a horse, grooming the horse, going for a walk with a horse in the surrounding area, listening to their gentleness and wisdom and so much more. The interaction with the horses will be facilitated and guided by myself in a slow, gentle and safe setting following the needs and requirements of you as our guest. The essence of the experience is to feel safe as being part of the herd of horses and to experience a feeling of true connection and trust with nature and animals. This experience does not involve any horse riding and no previous experience with horses is required.

Arrábida Natural Park Beaches and Caves

Boat trip in the Arrábida Natural Park, from the village of Sesimbra towards Cabo Espichel. Wild beaches, stunning bays, caves, and cliffs are all the features of this magnificent walk. Go on an adventure to discover all the splendor of this unique ecosystem. You will enjoy the surrounding landscape, immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of the Natural Park of Arrábida and visit the famous Ribeiro do Cavalo beach, which in 2017 was considered the best beach in Europe. You will visit the mythical beaches of Mijona, Hell and Baleeira, where you will have the opportunity to learn a bit about the history of the ancient fishermen and whale hunters of the region. During this stop, typical Setubal liquor will be served (exclusively for those over 18). Then we will sail towards the Espichel Cape, where we will observe the magnificent caves and escarpments of the place. After all the adventure, we will return to the Port of Sesimbra, where the experience ends.

And now is time to collect garbage from the trail, the most important parts of our visit to this incredible place, the place we call home. The wind is now favorable to come back, is time to discover more of this paradise before arriving the end kayaking.
