Vacation rentals with lake access in Schagen

We had an excellent stay at Anneke’s place. The place was quite aesthetic as well as so convenient with an amazing garden. Our 3 year old daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline and the swing in the garden. The location was really apt, we could do day trips to Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem. Overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the accommodation for a week with six people and it was one of the best Airbnbs we've all ever stayed at. The place is just as beautiful as the pictures, everything is sparkling clean and the amenities are excellent. The location is of course also a dream - both the terrace in front of the entrance door and the one behind the house have a beautiful view and you can lie wonderfully by the water and relax. The trampoline with sea views is also a highlight:) The communication was great: super fast, very friendly and we got all the information in detail in advance. This property has really thought of everything and we can definitely recommend it! Only if you are afraid of spiders, you should possibly think again, because in the evening there were really a lot of larger spiders on the house. But here, too, everything has been thought of, there are numerous fly screens and if you pay attention when ventilating, you still have a spider-free house:)

It was nice and everything is always nicer when the sun is shining but in all cases: - very nice, cozy cottage - terrace directly overlooking the pond (exciting conversations with local ducks) - very easy check-in and responsive host - superb sunset to end the day while eating on the terrace.

We had a great time at Richard's house! The location is excellent, nice and quiet and of course great for refreshing yourself with the lake. We rented the boat and also had a nice time on the water and the larger lake. The house has everything you need, air-conditioned rooms were perfect on the hot days. Sitting together on the terrace by the lake in the evening, great! You can't go wrong with the house and would book it again and again.

Probably the best AirBnB we‘ve been to in the Netherlands! Absolutely amazing renovated traditional house that felt cosy and right at home. We were 4 adults and one child (aged 8). The hosts were kind enough to set an extra bed for my daughter, which was very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. We didn’t miss anything. Very quiet and private location and beautiful surroundings. The garden is very peaceful and there is even a water channel at the back! We‘re absolutely looking forward to staying here again soon.

We loved our stay here and if we returned to the Netherlands we would stay here again. A very comfortable house, wonderful big soft bed, clean kitchen and lovely shower. A beautiful outside space too- we loved it. Excellent stay

The neighborhood is beautiful, the house is beautiful, clean, and very well equipped and decorated. The area is lovely to walk around and a short distance to the east there are a lot of restaurants, bars and bakeries and to the south one big mall with supermarket and shops. My only complaint is the staircase is too narrow, which makes it uncomfortable to go up and down with suitcases. But I recognize this is a Dutch thing and the majority of houses, new and old, have the same issue.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly what we needed , clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. They really made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Wonderful peaceful place to stay!

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

First of all, Alex, Liz and their parents are really very warm and caring for their guests. They can be reached at any time. Thanks to their hospitality, we immediately felt like we were on vacation. The apartment is very nice and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped and sunny for breakfast and starting a beautiful day. The garden is beautiful and there are plenty of small discreet corners where you can sit. It was an enchanting break and we hope to return.

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

Very nice apartment in apartment complex, upper floor (attention-steep stairs!), secluded, located in the middle of the dunes and therefore very quiet. Good amenities, very clean. Two balconies that allow a fantastic view of the beach and the nature reserve. Very friendly landlady; the communication was super pleasant and straightforward. Highly recommended!

The house was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed to feel at home. The views were stunning and we could enjoy many beautiful sunsets. The host was always available and gave us helpful recommendations that enriched our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable trip.

Beautiful house and perfect host!

We booked the accommodation very spontaneously and felt very comfortable. Communication with Simon went great and he always helped us quickly with our request. We particularly liked that we were flexible with the arrival and departure in the accommodation. Thank you - we will be back :)

We had a perfect stay. Richard welcomes us with great enthusiasm and a wonderful little dog who also comes to give you a festive welcome 🥰 Regarding the environment, it was simply beautiful, whether around (lake, beach, promenade, nice little village) or the land around the cottage. There's no better place to recharge your batteries in nature in an exceptional setting. (A small boat is available for the more adventurous;) ) As far as the accommodation is concerned, there was nothing to say about the cleanliness, faithful to the photos except that we expected to have two separate bedrooms. There were indeed two large beds, however one of them would be on the mezzanine (so open room). Other than that, we loved our stay and will be back! Don't hesitate if you need a short stay in nature (only 40 minutes from Amsterdam)

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Angelique was a good and friendly host. She greeted us right on the street, so we didn't have to look any further for the accommodation. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. The location on the water is really good. You have your privacy here. We were also very pleased about the food provided. We had a very nice time.

We had a great stay in the tiny house. Mariska is a nice host with great communication. Highly recommended. Another culinary tip: eat at the Grand Cafe Kade. Delicious fish, top service.

It is a beautiful accommodation overlooking the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day overlooking the lake. If the weather cooperates, you can also swim there. Will definitely be back :)
