Wonderful spot, authentic house and surroundings, special welcome. We love vibe of the house, space outside, many places to sit around garden and drink coffe or wine, easy grilling space, beautiful views. I think pictures doesn’t do a full justice for these wonderful place.

Il soggiorno è andato benissimo, la casa di Andreia è piccola ma dotata di tutti i confort, ottima per due persone. E' vicino alla fermata del bus e a Sao Roque, ma per visitare l'isola ritengo sia indispensabile l'auto. Ci piacerebbe tornare

Typisch huisje, gezellige goed ingerichte keuken en ruime slaapkamers. Zeer warm en persoonlijke ontvangst.

Ocean views for days...this place has a god-smacking view of the north coast and Sao Jorge. We were 2 couples and this place was perfect. A welcome basket has the essentials to get you through the first 24 hours. There are 2 large, comfortable bedrooms downstairs with walkouts to a patio. Their full 3 piece bathroom is on the main floor. The third, separate bedroom has its own full ensuite bath. The kitchen is well equipped and functional. There are 2 patios facing the fields and sea with an outdoor kitchen area. Pike, Francisco and Vania are always only a text away and are so helpful and very accommodating.

Fabulous stay in this lovely house. Guiomar is a fabulous host, we were welcomed with baking and cookies which was lovely after a long journey and came back to help out when we had a problem.. Weather usually was better at the house than other places on the island and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the waves. Flexibility on departure was really appreciated as our flight was delayed 2.5 hours at short notice. Thank you

Ein wunderschönes, großzügiges und gemütliches Haus mit einem umwerfenden Blick. Schon in der Früh aufs Meer und die Inseln der Azoren zu blicken, ist etwas ganz besonderes. Das Haus bietet jeden Komfort und ist ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt, Pico zu erkunden. Es ist ruhig und gemütlich. Wir haben jeden Moment genossen - vom Aufstehen mit Blick aufs Meer bis hin zum Aperitiv und Abendessen bei Sonnenuntergang. Ana hat immer prompt reagiert, auch Vaina, die sich um das Haus kümmert, war immer erreichbar. Die Anreise war Unproblematisch, ebenso die Abreise. Ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde! Gerne jederzeit wieder. Danke, dass wir hier zu Gast sei durften!

Sao Jorge is a hidden gem island and Amaro “Filipe” is a gem of a host! The eco accommodation is in a spectacular location with gorgeous views and charming surroundings. Our bungalow was spacious, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a covered porch facing Pico. Filipe is very friendly and helpful, and as a native of the island, he is a wealth of knowledge about things to do. We liked the place so much, we arranged to stay another night. If I return to Sao Jorge someday, this is where I will stay!

Unseren Urlaub mit Oma und Opa war ein tolles Erlebnis auf der Insel Pico und in dem wundervollen Haus von James. Das Haus mit Pool war unser Favorit in der Auswahl, damit für jeden etwas dabei ist. Aussicht, Badestelle, Pool, gemütliche Rückzugsorte im Haus und davor. Es ist alles da, was man sich wünscht. Nur das Wetter kann man nicht beeinflussen und deshalb haben wir mit dem Montana de Pico noch eine Rechnung offen. Deshalb kommen wir wieder und wenn möglich, sicher zu James.

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed!! The island is already breathtaking but the location of the home, the view, and the pool made our experience on Pico even better. Ana and Benedita have been super accommodating and allowed me to change the dates during the pandemic. I finally was able to visit after two years and it was well worth the wait! If you are on the fence you need to book this stay. They also own a couple restaurants on the island, i highly recommend going to Magma for a nice meal overlooking the ocean!

Absolutely stunning house and views - loved sleeping to the sounds of the ocean, plus the pool is amazing. Loved the traditional decor / furniture too.

An very peaceful place. The family that owns the house developed a nice concept for their guests. A friendly and calm atmosphere. If you want, you get good advices to explore the nature of this wonderful island. And good mocktails and cocktails after the day tours . We appreciate very much the way the old houses have been renovated and redesigned. Very clean and comfortable. Thank you to all of you. It was a wonderful stay.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren, wenn auch leider viel zu kurzen Aufenthalt in Ivans wunderschönem Haus. Selten sehen bei Airbnb Unterkünfte noch besser aus als auf den Fotos, aber bei Ivan stimmte einfach alles. Da unsere Airline uns den Flug nach Pico storniert hatte, kamen wir viel später als geplant erst am späten Abend an, aber Ivan war die ganze Zeit via Nachrichten für uns da und begrüßte uns auch nach 22 Uhr noch unglaublich herzlich und zeigte uns sein wundervolles Haus, in dem auch schon ein paar hausgemachte Leckereien auf uns warteten. Der Meerblick vor der Terrasse ist einfach wundervoll! Leider waren wir viel zu kurz auf der Insel, um noch mehr Zeit dort zu verbringen und mehr von Ivans Empfehlungen zu folgen, aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder und würden dann immer wieder hier übernachten wollten. Danke dir für alles, lieber Ivan!

Amazing location in a nicely appointed cottage with everything you need.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Casa da Leocádia sehr genossen… die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Gerne haben wir auf der Terrasse gesessen und einfach nur geschaut. Der Ort Rosais Ist gut gelegen, ruhig und friedlich, Man kann hier wunderbar entspannen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig, ausgestattet, sehr sauber und wir hatten viel Platz und Ruhe. Vielen Dank für alles

We really enjoyed our stay. We used it as a base to explore the island. I can't think of anything that we thought was missing or should have been provided. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the house with it's wooden furniture and ceramics. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We were delayed by the airline and arrived late at night but Carolina, the contact, was really helpful with information and recommendations to make our late arrival a little easier. Her attention to the details during our stay were really helpful.

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war einfach perfekt! Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend und hat den Aufenthalt noch besonderer gemacht. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen – modern, stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Alles war makellos sauber und durchdacht, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt habe. Besonders hervorheben möchte wir Dirk unser Vermieter, der außergewöhnlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und stets erreichbar war. Er hat dafür gesorgt, dass der gesamte Aufenthalt reibungslos verlief und uns wertvolle Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werde definitiv wiederkommen! 5 von 5 Sternen!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft schön und man hat sich direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. 😍 Man ist direkt am Meer. Ohne Mietwagen ist diese Unterkunft jedoch nicht zu empfehlen, da diese knapp 25 Minuten Autofahrt von Madalena und somit von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants entfernt ist. Wer jedoch wie wir, die Ruhe liebt, ist genau richtig. Nachts ist die Ruhe jedoch weniger, da azoreanische Enten auf Nestsuche einen wach halten. 😅 Alles in allem dennoch empfehlenswert. 🙃

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit großartiger Aussicht von der Terrasse! Das Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation vorab war äußerst unkompliziert und angenehm. Definitiv eine Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt auf Pico!

We had a short stay but everything was great! The views were beautiful on the top floor (there were stairs), and there was a nice outdoor patio. We had enough towels and all the amenities we needed (full sized fridge and freezer which was nice). The parking was easy and spacious. Great location, I recommend!
