Cottage vacation rentals in Sahara Desert

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

we really loved the house with the private swimming pool. the pool was a little bit cold, but my children were enjoying it and they warmed themselves up in the bath. my parents in law also enjoyed their stay. thnx!!!

Outstanding location with absolutely mesmerising views !! Away from the cluttered cities surrounded by vineyards I would highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in Tenerife. The places has not only views to offer , fully equipped with all sorts of amenities that one would ever wish for. Ellen is a great host very responsive and helpful. I would definitely be coming back for more !!!

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

The property is lovely and everything you need for relaxing getaway. We loved the outside area, Al fresco at its finest. Supermarket is situated at the bottom of the road, 5-10 minute walk. Puerto del La Cruz is only a 15 minute drive and playa El Bollullo is on 15 minute drive, bit of a walk down to the beach, but well worth it. also the restaurant at the top is lovely, with a great back drop. If you want a relaxing getaway away from the hussle and bussle, then this is the place for you. Wake up to beautiful views of Tiede and the sea. what more could you want. See you next time.

Elena’s place was well provisioned and a home away from home. The outside patio was spectacular with lounges, chairs, tables, hot tub, and even a ping pong table! The one challenge was the windy roads getting there. Extraordinary scenery, but keep your eye on the road! Great home base for rock climbing at Fataga and Sorrueda.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is immaculate.! In a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The jacuzzi is a great added bonus!! Very highly recommended. Absolutely would go back again.!!!!! Gabriella is right there replying to any needs straight away.

wir haben uns sehr gefreut diese Oase gefunden und gebucht zu haben 🌞 wunderschöne Finca mit allem was dazu gehört incl toller Gastgeber. super Lage und grandioser Ausblick im Garten. da bucht man gerne wieder 👍

The host Maria is great, always helpful, super friendly and sweet with our kids. We had a great stay in the house and enjoyed the view over the bay and the banana plantation. Maria also provided us with a whole load of freshly harvested bananas which tasted amazing. Totally recommended place.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch Aline in dem wunderschönen Haus. Eigentlich braucht man nicht viel zu schreiben, da schon alles in den positiven Bewertungen geschrieben wurde. Hervorzuheben ist einfach die Ruhe. Ausser dem Wind und paar Vögeln hört man nichts . Von dem Hauptschlafzimmer kann man vom Bett aus bis zum Meer schauen. Auch von den insgesamt 3 hat man von 2 Meerblick und einmal eine wunderschöne Bergkulisse. Zu den Stränden ca 8 min Fußweg. Ein Auto ist dennoch ein Muß, um in 7 min El Cotillio mit seinen vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und weiteren Strände zu erkunden. Insgesamt war es ein unvergesslich schöner Urlaub mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Kommen sicher bald wieder.

Arrivée dans une très jolie Finca, calme, avec jardinet, solarium, petite terrasse fleurie aménagée avec vue sur le barranco et grande terrasse avec tout l'équipement adéquate pour déjeuner ou diner Maison élégante meublée avec beaucoup de goût. Estrella nous a accueillis avec de jolis bouquets de fleurs fraîches et un corbeille remplie de fruits et d'avocats. Il y a une grande place à l'intérieur de la propriété pour garer son véhicule. La rue est un peu raide et périlleuse mais la découverte de cette propriété en vaut le coup.

Alejandro’s place is even more beautiful than the pictures, the views from all terraces are simply stunning, so peaceful and quiet. The inside is tidy, has everything anyone could need and Alejandro is very easy to communicate with and is very helpful. We would highly recommend staying here. Amazing value for money.

El alojamiento de Montse es FORMIDABLE! Un casita con absolutamente todas las necesidades cubiertas. La cocina y el baño estaban muy bien equipadas, perfectas para lugar al que hay que ir en avión. El sitio es estupendo, muy tranquilo y con vistas al océano. Tienen dos perros muy amigables, fueron una buena distracción para nuestros dos peques. Excelente para viajar en familia pues no hay peligro de carretera cerca y hay mucho espacio fuera de casa. El porche es estupendo, parapetado del viento y un lugar excelente para desayunar en familia o estar un rato por las noches. Además Montse es una gran experta en YOGA. Tuvimos la oportunidad de realizar varias sesiones con ella y fue un auténtico lujo. Conectada fielmente con la naturaleza, en un espacio espectacular y tranquilo. No dudéis en tener unas sesiones de Yoga con ella, vuestro cuerpo y mente os lo agradecerán!!! Un abrazo enorme Montse! Y saludo a Ronya y Rudy!! Ojalá volvamos a encontrarnos.

We had a great stay at Patricia’s Villa - this was our second visit after staying in 2023. We loved the views and the extra facilities like the pool and games room. The Villa is outside of Funchal but you can be in the town in 10 mins which was great. Patricia is an excellent host who was flexible with check in / check out times to accommodate our flights schedule and was also very helpful with local information. I’m sure we will be back!

This place is just a little paradise with amazing nature all around and a beautiful view over Puerto de la Cruz and the surrounding valley. We enjoyed observing all those unique birds in the morning, while drinking our coffee on the sunny terrace. In the evenings the area usually becomes foggy and a bit colder, but there are plenty of extra blankets and the fireplace makes a very cozy and warm vibe after all. There is a private grill area for each apartment, we didn’t have the chance to try it, but in warmer weather it must be amazing. The way up is indeed steep and not too wide, but it was less difficult then we expected. Also the location is very good/ quite central within the island, isolated from the very touristic parts, but still all the different areas are in easy reach. The place was well equipped, we did laundry as well and had no problem at all. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to all those who would like to experience the peaceful nature of Tenerife!!!🌿

Came here with a group of friends from Los Angeles and I cannot tell you how beautiful the space is but also how available at all times our host was how every need was meant and help accommodating and warm this beautiful Airbnb was we will certainly be back next year, and we will certainlyhope to stay here as well

Wat hebben we genoten van onze heerlijke vakantie in het huis van Guzman. Wat een fijn plekje om helemaal tot rust te komen en te genieten van de bijzondere natuur op Fuerteventura. Guzman ontving ons met heerlijke kaas en wijn en we mochten gebruik maken van de producten uit zijn prachtige moestuin. Wij hebben het heerlijk gehad en we komen graag nog een keer terug.

Our second stay and just as beautiful as the first. Everything was perfect. We love the view and the serenity.

Rita vermietet hier das ehemalige Sommerhaus ihrer Familie in Santana. Es ist im traditionellen Stil erbaut und mit Stroh gedeckt. Es steht in einem unglaublich schönen Garten, dessen einziger Nachteil eine sehr schmale Einfahrt ist. Autos über 1,80 m könnten da Probleme bekommen. Insgesamt ist es wirklich außergewöhnlich schön und stimmungsvoll. Im Garten gibt es reichlich Sitzgelegenheiten. Rita ist ein netter und gut erreichbarer Host. Sie hat uns mit einem kompletten Paket bestehend aus Obstkorb, Brot Milch, Butter, Käse willkommen geheißen. Selbst Kaffeekapseln waren reichlich vorhanden Das Internet ist mit 250 MBit überragend schnell. Ein wichtiger Punkt die Lage betreffend: Im Norden Madeiras ist es ja sowieso kühler, aber wir haben beobachtet, dass die Temperaturen ums Haus herum regelmäßig weitere 3-5° unter den Vorhersagen von Santana waren. D.h. es ist dort wirklich frisch und auch entschieden feuchter (Wichtig im Winter) Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Le logement est très bien entretenu avec une superbe vue, l’emplacement est très bien situé près du volcan tende et d’autre site ,la plage est à dix minute de la maison se trouvant à San Juan. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine très ensoleillé avec de magnifiques paysages très belle ile

Un vrai petit paradis. Une vue imprenable. Le logement est fonctionnel. Cynthia est au petit soin et tres arrangeante. Nous avons passé un excellent sejour avec nos 2 bébés. 2 lits bébés etaient mis à notre dispo, baignoire et chaise haute. On a pu profité du jardin, des poules, du levé et couché de soleil... Un grand merci à Cynthia et son mari pour tous les conseils et petites attentions. Nous recommandons fortement le logement :)
