It's a lovely place to eat lunch - organic food, locally grown, in a railway carriage. Also next to a Farm Shop if you need to pick up anything food wise.

It does a fabulous Sunday lunch, with a brilliant dj. It's a great place, and lovely walking around there too (unless it's been raining a lot in which case it will be rather too wet - it's on the Somerset Levels). Close to one of the best places to see starling murmurations in winter.

It's fantastic. Brilliant reviews in both the Observer and the Independent. A lovely town, on the way to the Dorset coast, and only a half hour drive from here. Also close to Mapperton Gardens, a beautiful house and garden (starred in Far From the Madding Crowd).

It's right on one of the best Dorset beaches, it's delicious, and they do breakfast, lunch, tea and early dinner. Check the website for opening times. You can't book, but they have a fast turnover. Or call one of the sister houses where you can book, one on Chesil Beach, one in West Bay.

It has wonderful views from the top of the cliff over the sea. It's just above Hive Beach Cafe, and a short walk down to the sea, and lovely walks along the cliff tops. It's very very good food, generally much quieter, as more expensive than the cafes nearby.

A lovely cafe open Wed to Sunday that is open from breakfast through to 5 pm. It's a brilliant place to eat and only a short walk. They'll hopefully start doing weekend evening events too, so check out the website. It's cycling themed but you absolutely don't have to be a cyclist - all the locals go there, and they do really good cakes.
