Fun

A great outing for all the family (big and small). Highly rated on Trip Advisor and as someone who's been many times, can vouch for this water park personally. If you're going during the peak summer months, I highly recommend spending a little extra for the priority pass, as the queues can be really long!

About a 20 minute drive from the house, this beach is one of the biggest on the island. It's in a more touristy location, so be prepared for crowds during peak summer seasons (but still worthwhile if you're a serious beach goer).

The main tourist town of Tenerife. Probably the most known area by holidaymakers. It has bars, restaurants, beaches, clubs, shopping centres, a cinema, everything you'd need for a day out. Plenty to do during the day and a vibrant nightlife after sun down. Great to visit, but also great to leave once you've had enough! Approx. 20 minute drive from the house.

Sightseeing

Breathtaking views at almost 3 km above sea level, Mount Teide National Park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and for good reason. If you do visit, I recommend allowing enough time to stay until nightfall, as the views of the stars up there are amazing. But make sure you bring warm clothes as the temperature can drop quite quickly after sunset!

Beautiful rural village deep inside the cliffs of 'Los Gigantes'. If you're driving yourself, be prepared for very windy roads as you descend the mountain to reach the village. Worth it if you're up for the challenge!

This ancient forest is unlike any other in Tenerife. Best to reach via car as it'll take over an hour to get there from my house, but highly recommended if you love hiking.

Neighbourhoods

Coastal fishing village at the edge of the incredible cliffs 'Los Gigantes', literally meaning 'The Giants'. And for good reason, they're as tall as 600mt at their highest points. The village boast a beach, a marina (with daily boat trips and excursions to see the whales and dolphins, as well as several scuba diving centres). There are also plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, this town is approximately a 5 minute car ride from the house.
