A very nice refuge , with a friendly staff, a superb local kitchen and a unique view of Grand Combin and Mont Velan.
The trail starts in Plan Detruit in Doues and it takes around 1 hour to reach the refuge. They have also a nice finnish sauna “with a view”.

It’s the closest refuge to Gignod. The trail starts in Buthier, where you can leave your car, and you will reach the refuge in a 1 hour and 15 minutes hike.
At the refuge you find a good local kitchen, a small lake and some nice lamas.
