Well worth a visit in spring. check out www.crickladecourtleet.org.uk/north-meadow for details of when the rare Snakeshead Fritillary flowers are in bloom (late Spring). A nice place for a walk beside the start of the River Thames which eventually flows to London at most other times of the year (except when the river is in flood).

Our Town

For a map of the nearest town visit: www.crickladetowncouncil.gov.uk/visitors/key-landmarks.html Cricklade is a lovely town to explore. Much of the Saxon layout from before 1200AD can still be seen. It is the first town on the River Thames and there is a well marked path along the river in both directions. The charming High Street of Cricklade nurtures a wide selection of amenities including Tesco supermarket, Boots pharmacy, award winning butcher, traditional grocer, a micro-brewery, several quality pubs, a variety of restaurants, and the pet care shop
