Wow, we definitely recommend this place. It's owned by the Hauser & Wirth so there are a lot of art exhibitions. The 'Tomahawk' steak is a dream

This place is on a par with f.east - both fantastic!! They have a railway carriage and a double-decker bus to eat in. The organic farm shop is extensive and very much a local favourite

Shopping

Nicca who owns this shop is an artist. Her knitwear is very special: one off unique pieces. She made Merietta's (wife) wedding jacket.

Ilminster is a beautiful small rural village. It has loads of character, lanes to explore and most importantly a character borne out of the local traders. It does not look like, or feel like, mst other towns that have been overwhelmed with national shops - thank goodness. I recommend visiting Bonners the Butchers. Clinton will always have a huge welcoming smile and his meat is all local and traceable.
