Wonderful family beach and it's just 3 miles from our home! You can usually get to the beach in less than 10 minutes. This beach also offers a walking pier where you can fish or just take a stroll. The pier is open 24 hours and costs $2 per person. Cash only. There is public metered parking at the beach and when it's busy there are available parking lots that cost around $10 for the day. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea also has great restaurants and a couple of nice ice cream shops. Our favorite ice cream is the toasted coconut at Kilwins! A must try for those who love coconut!
