Sightseeing

We go here all the time if we want a little hike but don’t have time to drive outside of town. Great trails just a short drive from our house. Be sure to head down the trails leading to the beach if you are comfortable with a steep (but short) hike back up. Trail can be muddy and slippery so wear appropriate shoes.

Drive, bike or walk to golden gardens from our house. If you want to walk you can access it by walking down a few sets of steep stairs that start at 85th and 32nd street. It’s about 5-6 miles round trip so plan accordingly!

Bainbridge Island is a 30 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle. It’s a charming little town, you can walk or drive on the ferry for a charge. Expect it to be busy during the summer, there may be a long wait if you drive on.
