Madrid - I love the food at The Hollar. Like the Mineshaft it has a great atmosphere and often live music. Both of the places are just across the road from each other and I recommend both equally. You should definitely check out both if you stay longer, or go and decide on the menu you prefer, live events happening and your personal preferences.

Madrid - Cute authentic place, where you can buy anything you forgot to get in Santa Fe. A little more pricey than the big supermarkets. They don't have huge quantities, but a little bit of everything.

Cerrillos was once nominated to be the capital of New Mexico. Today it is a small historic town, with all of its roads still dirt roads. It has the only post office in the area, right when you turn in from NM 14 and the closest Medical Office, the Ortiz Mountain Health Center (http://www.pmsnm.org/locations/ortiz-mountain-health-center). Absolutely recommendable for a stroll through the town. Visit the church and it's beautiful yard, the Blackbird Salon for great food and tab beer, the Cerrillos Station, the Cerrillos Hills State park for hikes, the State Park, the Mining Museum, whose owners still have a turquoise mine and sell a big variety of stones and gems. Love this cute little town.

Beautiful little town to stroll through and enjoy at any time of the day. Great place to eat and shop for groceries if you don't want to go to Santa Fe.
Santa Fe - the Plaza in the city center is a beautiful place with a lot of shops, galleries and eateries around it and the surrounding roads.
