Sightseeing

Whether you're staying a few days or for just a short trip, the walking bridge is a must! I recommend starting on the Indiana side and walking over to the Louisville side. Less traffic and less headache on my side of the bridge :) Plus there are some cool resturants(The Parlour, The Pearl) and a local coffee shop (Pearl Street Coffee & Game House) you can enjoy before your walk

Parks

Louisville is known as a city of parks. There are so many! And a couple on the Indiana side that I often enjoy as well. Here are a few of my favorites....
85 acre municipal park located in the downtown Louisville area. This is where lots of festivals and events take place as well as the yearly Waterfront Wednesday concert series. I love parking on the Indiana side and walking across the Big Four Bridge to experience this concert series. Less traffic to deal with on my side of the bridge which means once it's over it is a quick trip back to the house!

Located on the Indiana side with beautiful views of Louisville. Love this spot especially when they close the dam and you can walk on the river bed! They also have a fascinating museum which gives you the history behind this area.

This park has an amphitheater that has had many musicians play that I've enjoyed. Such as Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves , Gary Clark Jr, Edward Sharp, and so many others. Wonderful spot for an outdoor concert. They also put on a huge jack-o-lantern spectacular in the fall with 5,000 pumpkins lit up.

Breakfast

I offer a small self serve breakfast that you are more than welcome to enjoy. However there are some really good spots around town that I highly recommend if you have the time!
My favorite breakfast place! Whether your looking to dine in Louisville or something down the street, this place has multiple locations across the area and is where I usually go at least once a week! My favorite entrées are the Mr. Potato Head Casserole and the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict! They also make a great bloody mary :)

OMG the Lamb and Grits is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten! I've never got passed this entrée because I love it so much. Cool vibes here and again a great location to walk around a shop local.

Lunch or Dinner Favs

Not only does this place know how to do fried chicken but they have the most delicious sides ever! So skip KFC, you have to try The Eagle! Best fried chicken around hands down! Spoon cornbread is a must and their Mac and cheese is delicious! But regardless which side you choose they are big enough to share and all are amazing! Located close to local bars and shops
