Places to stay in Wiltshire
You will have a single comfy room in a quiet house and neighbourhood. There is a bathroom with a shower. In the morning a simple breakfast of bread, butter and jam is provided. Off street parking is available and plenty of on-street parking close by. We are well-situated in a quiet road, only ten minutes’ walk from the centre of this thriving Somerset town. This modern house is a stone’s throw from the cobbled streets, independent shops and a brilliant selection of cafes and restaurants.
The bed is a single with the basics for a comfy stay. The shared bathroom is newly renovated and has a shower cubicle. I have been a little over zealous with a cleaning agent and there are now bleach marks on the walls of the shower. There are steps up to the house and the bedroom is up a flight of stairs. The kitchen can be used by agreement.
Frome is a vibrant town. It dates back to the middle ages and mixes old and new in a truly unique way. You will find independent shops scattered among brilliant restaurants and cafes. On the first Sunday of every month, from March to November, you will find the centre of town transformed into a market place. Independent traders from all over Somerset visit and set up their stalls and you will be fascinated by what is on offer. The food is pretty good at these events too! The house is in a quiet neighbourhood but with easy access to the centre of town and public transport links. When you stay with us you will realise how close you are to the places you’ve always wanted to visit. Glastonbury is just up the road. You can walk up to the Tor in the morning and then shop in the designer outlet ‘Clark’s Village’ in Street in the afternoon. Or why not visit Bath? You will discover Roman Britain and Jane Austin within a short walk of each other with shops and restaurants in between. If you fancy a day in the open air you can choose between Longleat and Stour Head. And only an hour away you can find one of the most world-famous landmarks of all – Stonehenge.
  • Easy to find, very clean and just what i was needed for the night.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Elizabeth’s. It was exactly as expected and looked just like the photos. The communication from the host was excellent - I had no issues with checking in or worries about anything. The pretty estate that the house is on is very quiet; perfect walking distance from the stunning town centre of Frome. My car was safe on the drive. There is a supermarket right across the road; it has everything that you need. The house is cosy and I was allowed to use the kitchen - great to prepare your meals if you have agreed before. Breakfast was a nice touch - toast with butter and jam with hot beverage. My room had a very comfortable bed with delicious biscuits/tea & coffee/kettle. Plenty of space to hang a few clothes for a few days. Desk and chair. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable with a good signal in my bedroom. I slept soundly here. I loved the powerful shower and decent bathroom. The place was sparkling clean and I would definitely recommend staying here. Elizabeth is an interesting, intelligent lady a we had a good chat. I will stay there again. It’s a superb base to see lots of interesting places. Excellent value for money. Thank you.

Having enjoyed letting out my double en-suite, I’m now opening up a single room at a lower rate. It has fewer amenities but I hope might be suitable for people coming for work purposes or single travellers who don’t need much space. Although I call it a single, it actually has a double bed, so very comfortable for one person. You will need to share my bathroom, but it is right next door and has a full bath with shower over - and only shared with me!
Although the room is small, it has a double bed, and there are shelves, a bedside table, a small desk/table and chair. There is a kettle and items for making drinks, and I provide some snack breakfast items to start off your morning.
Frome is a wonderful little market town, full of amazing independent shops and cafés - "best place to live in the south west" according to the Sunday Times. It is just a 10 minute walk to the centre down the attractive cobbled Catherine Hill - recently voted 14th prettiest street in Britain. On the first Sunday of every month (Mar - Dec) the whole town centre is taken over by the Independent Market full of quirky artisan and vintage stalls, delicious local foods and live music. There are also plenty of places to visit nearby. Longleat is just a 15 minute drive and it is only half an hour to Georgian Bath, Wells with its glorious Cathedral Close and Glastonbury's famous Abbey and Tor. World famous Stonehenge is only a 45 minute drive.
  • Jane's place is a fabulous find. I stayed in the single room, which is really comfy with a roomy double bed and lovely thoughtful touches, including kettle, coffee, tea and breakfast snacks. The WiFi was fast and reliable and there is even a little desk if you want to do some work. Jane was friendly and welcoming and was super-responsive: booking me in at very short notice! Everything was clean and Jane has taken real care with decorating the rooms with fun travel-themed accessories! The room was also great value and in a good location - just a short stroll into the old part of town and 25 min walk from the train station. Would highly recommend!

    Polly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My first time using AirBnb and my experience was amazing. Great room, great service and great communication, Jane was amazing in accommodating my request. The single room is quite spacious for a single and the double bed is so comfy. Would definitely use again when in Frome.

Large, characterful and private top floor bedroom with ensuite in a relaxed and easy home. I am a friendly host who enjoys travel near and far. I am happy for well behaved pets to stay (I have a cat that is used to visitors) and delighted to accommodate little ones . Edge of countryside location great for country walks or a 10 min stroll down Catherine hill and it's independent shops into Frome centre. A local shop is 5 minute walk and play park opposite. Check in from 4pm but I am flexible.
The space is located at the top of a characterful Victorian terrace with lovely views of the edge of Frome and bordering countryside. It is a large room with a double bed for two adults but can easily accommodate a family of four - a blow up double mattress is available also. The ensuite is bijou but all yours with a shower, basin and toilet. There is a kettle station which houses a selection of teas and coffee as well as a small fridge for food and drink. I provide yoghurt, milk, cereal, muesli and fruit as a continental breakfast in the room . TV and WiFi also.
Frome is quite hilly. Walk is 10-15 minutes to center of town.
  • Lucy's large attic room is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful & private. Was great having my own bathroom, fridge, kettle & facilities for making breakfast & snacks. Lucy provided a lovely selection of teas, cereals etc which made me feel very welcomed. I was very busy during my stay in Frome, so never got to meet Lucy in person, but everything was very well organised. I would definitely recommend her as a great host

    Katie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very comfortable three week stay here. The room is at the top of the house out of the way and having your own bathroom is a real bonus! A fridge and everything I needed for breakfast was also provided in the room which was great. Lucy was a lovely host and kindly let me cook in her kitchen a few times. Great location, very close to local amenities and the centre of Frome. Thanks Lucy!

    Mark2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy's place is lovely and just as described. The loft studio is private, warm, comfortable and spacious. I had everything I needed for a very comfortable week. The ability to grab a light breakfast in the studio was really appreciated as were the little touches that make life so much easier - fresh milk, good quality fresh coffee, bowl of fruit and local guide books. Lucy and her young son are perfect hosts - helpful, discreet, and always there to answer any queries. I enjoyed staying at Lucy's place, would thoroughly recommended it to others and I look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

    David2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to stay after exploring Frome. Lucy communicated clearly and helpfully before our stay. Lovely private room tucked away in the top of her house with everything left available for breakfast too. Thank you!

    Caroline2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy is wonderful. Her home is beautiful and staying in it was so easy and effortless for me. I had everything I needed including fruit and breakfast. If you are looking for a feeling of your own place this is just like that. The whole experience was exceptional.

Comfortable and spacious room, with shower en-suite. A modern house, with on street parking, it is just a 5 minute walk to the cobbled street of Catherine Hill, with it's independent shops and boutiques leading you to Frome's town centre. On the first Sunday of the month (Mar to Dec) this is taken over by the wonderful Frome Independent Market. Frome is also near many other great places to visit - half an hour from Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and many beautiful Somerset and Wiltshire villages.
With its en-suite and drink-making facilities, you can be completely independent in this spacious room. I have provided a TV, DVD player, hair drier and iron for your use, and there is an excellent wifi connection. You can also use the small room nearby set up with continental breakfast provisions, a mini fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery.

Jane hosts this in a professional and friendly manner with excellent communication, ensuring that the stay is as comfortable and convenient as possible. Many thanks Jane!

  • Mill Farm is a lovely place to stay. Great location for trips to Longleat and the surrounding areas. You can hear the Lions at night which made our children’s trip. Margaret is very friendly and has everything you need for a great break away.

Delicious real proper milk, super coffee. Everything you need. Lovely room, great powerful shower. The jewel is the mill pond and it is gorgeous. The ducks look very happy and it was lovely to hear and see thrum enjoying the idyllic surroundings. Of course the Bath Arms is just a 10 minute walk up the road where the evening meal was to die for. Mill Farm is highly recommended by my wife and I for a lovely relaxing break.

Ideal studio for a single, a couple or a parent and child over 5 years. Cosy, quiet, with access to garden, 10 minutes walk to the fantastic town of Frome! Bed-sitting area plus ensuite bathroom, the studio has its own entrance. A beautiful walk through the protected Rodden Meadows brings you into the town centre, full of independent shops and renowned performance venue The Cheese and Grain. And be sure to book when the popular Frome Independent Market is on - the first Sunday of the month.
Coronavirus safety: I am deep cleaning all surfaces after guests leave. I am minimising crockery / cutlery / utensils and using dishwasher between bookings. I am removing my usual provision of teas and coffee. I ask guests to please wash hands after being out, and obviously do not come if you have any virus symptoms. A bed sitting space with a small kitchen area comprising kettle, toaster, and microwave. Enough utensils to prepare basic food plus a small fridge. Ideal for breakfast and a few light meals. Selection of teas and some coffee provided (not while coronavirus an issue). The bed is a queen sized double with a very comfortable mattress. TV receives Freeview and there is a DVD player with selection of DVDs, plus a selection of books. Guests are welcome to use the garden which has a sitting area. The shower is new and large - enough space for two! The studio is heated with far infra-red panels - a new technology that is extremely energy efficient as well as being healthy for the body. It is particularly good for allergy sufferers as it does not cause the air to circulate (therefore circulating dust). One of the panels is disguised as a painting of buddha - radiating warmth into body and soul! Bilbo the cat lives in the main house and if you like cats you may enjoy a few moments of cat love with him.
The studio is behind my house on a quiet residential street of semi-detached 1930s homes. PLEASE NOTE previous info (in THE SPACE section) about building taking place next door from March 2020 for four months. Frome is extremely popular for its Independent Markets which happen on the first Sunday of every month (except January and February). The town is closed to traffic and taken over by a huge range of amazing independent makers and producers including a delicious selection of local food and live music. There is also a second hand market in the Cheese and Grain carpark. There is so much to see and eat, it has become a popular destination from far and wide. You can walk from the Studio along the river and arrive right in the centre of things. As well as the market Frome is also known for its support of independent shops which makes the town a great place to find unique and quality products.
  • The studio was clean, comfortable and quaint. Hilary was very kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. Although previous reviews said that the wifi was slow, we found it to be more than adequate as there was an extender in the room.

    Brendan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect space and set up. Thoughtful touches and everything you need. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable.

  • Beechwood Studio is lovely and homely. Its in a great position to walk into town, has parking space, is clean and very comfortable. Hilary is a wonderful host. I will definitely be back.

  • Perfect. The studio is well located and perfect for a.stay in Frome. We took a train from London, but if you have a car to explore the area, there was lots of street parking. Frome is so lovely and friendly. Great walking and running. The studio is quiet with a comfy bed. We slept great.

  • Everything as advertised

    Margaret2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hilary’s out house in situated in her beautiful garden. We booked her place for 3 nights during the longleat hot air balloon festival . It was very easy to find her home. We arrived at 8pm on our arrival day which was easily accessible with no problems at all. Free on road parking right outside which is a plus! The room is equipped with lots of things to make the stay pleasant. We forgot to bring a hair dryer so was happy to find on here :) There was also shower gels and hand soap fresh towels. Really nice Coffee to use with the cafetière. Tea sugar! There is also a fridge & microwave! Cutlery plates bowls glasses and mugs! The double bed was very comfortable. The shower room is lovely and clean. There are DVD’s and books for evening entertainment - the only thing I would say is that the tv is rather old and took a while for it to turn on, it also flickers quite a lot so not good for people with photo sensitive epilepsy. but I’m sure other people will be able to enjoy. The weather was absolutely beautiful during our stay so we were able to enjoy the garden in the sun. The evening were cold so the heating panels in the beechwood was very nice and also hot water bottles 😁 There are lots of things to do near by - Longleat being the biggest attraction which is 10 minutes drive. Frome town is walking distance along the river. I would recommend the boat house in frome which is very welcoming friendly quirky perfect place for breakfast! There is an asda supermarket 5 minuets away which is very handy. We had a lovely meal at the royal oak which is also very near by! Would highly recommend a visit! I would definitely recommend Hilary’s place to stay and would love to come back again soon. Thank you for your hospitality Warm wishes Katie and Sara

The room and bathroom was soo clear and there was enough showreel and soap to fill the shelves Boots! Clean towels, hot shower, enough bedding and super comfortable beds. We had a safe parking space on her driveway and easy self check in! There was some breakfast items available, milk and water for us to enjoy! All in all great place to stay! Highly recommend! • Me and a friend stayed at Arlene's cosy cottage behind her house for more than a week whilst taking part in a course at The Bicycle Academy. We had a great time! Arlene was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was great too, cosy, safe, quiet, just a 15 minute walk from the train station, and only 5 to the town's centre. Recommended!

  • Great little place. We staid for 1 night with my 2 kids. Lovely little touches (a bowl of chocolates/ sweets was a hit with the kids). 10 minutes walk to town centre which is just beautiful. We hope to be back.

  • Perfect for a two night stay due to a trip to Longleat for myself, my husband and our two girls (13 and 9). Fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker available, along with lots of tea and coffee choices, as well as cereal, biscuits and milk left for us. Also a lovely array of toiletries in the bathroom for our use. Spotless room, and very comfy! Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Generous double room in family home with ensuite shower room in an extended 18th century cottage in the village of Corsley. Antique furniture. Desk with light. Stripped board floor with rugs. Two minute walk to park, 10 minute drive to Longleat Estate, Center Parcs Longleat or the quaint market town of Frome. 20 minutes to Stourhead and 30 minutes to Bath or Stonehenge.
Our village is surrounded by farmland, great for walks, but close enough to the main road to make access to local attractions easy. It is on route 24 of the Sustrans National Cycle Network. We keep chickens and grow a lot of our own produce so some of that may be available at breakfast.
We are just a short walk away from two good pubs for food, the Royal Oak Corsley or the Cross Keys Corsley (Booking is recommended) and a park with lots of play equipment. Longleat Wind Hill Mountain Bike Park is 10 minutes' drive away. Frome has an excellent Sunday market http://thefromeindependent.org.uk/visit/ on the first Sunday of each month from March - December.

  • Moor Cottage is so cosy and charming, it's a good size to comfortably sleep 3 adults. The wood burner was a highlight for us and is very easy to use. The cottage has everything you need, fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer plus a dishwasher which was an added bonus! Anne is a lovely host and responded quickly to my messages, before and during our trip. We cannot fault Moor Cottage and would recommend it to anybody looking for peace and quiet or to explore the local area. Thanks again Anne!

  • We had a fantastic couple of days staying in Anne's cottage. The location is excellent for a trip to Longleat or exploring nearby Frome or as we did Bath. The cottage was exceptionally clean when we arrived and with everything you need for a great stay. The log burner was brilliant and kept the cottage cosy and warm when the weather was very cold outside. The personal touches of having homemade bread and marmalade and milk in the fridge where very nice. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and will certainly do so in the future.

    Barry2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage. Great little touches such as homemade bread, setting up the log burner and having electric blankets on the beds. Peaceful location and we had a lovely surprise of horses riding past the window whilst we made breakfast! A wonderful weekend getaway

Beautiful family suite, located close to the conservation area of central Frome (5 mins from the top of Catherine Hill) You couldn't be better located to browse the independent shops and cafes in Frome, and if you can tear yourself away, its a perfect base for exploring the West Country. It does not include a kitchen, but does include a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities (plus breakfast!)
This glorious reimagining of one of Frome's oldest buildings is an utter delight. Beautifully comfortable and incredibly stylish, this apartment is offered to stay at a reasonable rate, and within walking distance of Frome's bustling centre, filled with independent shops and eateries. Minimising our impact on the environment is hugely important to us, and as such, the apartment is cleaned using natural cleaning products. All the toiletries are organic, sourced from a local independent shop, and using no plastic whatsoever. We'll leave you breakfast, some locally sourced milk, homemade treats and everything you might need for a relaxing stay in Frome. If you book for more than a week, we'll also provide you with a welcome hamper. This suite can be combined with the one bedroom apartment to sleep between 4 - 8
If you're already considering Frome for a visit, undoubtedly you're already sold on its obvious charms. Frome is packed with independent shops, beautiful eateries, wonderful friendly people and stunning architecture. Its a pretty bloody great place, with an independent council, cracking music scene and monthly festival like market, thats more like a street party. Its pretty special.
  • Well worth the money and nicely located in Frome. Would suggest.

  • A lovely little suite off a quiet courtyard, away from the road but with parking close by. The room was very nicely decorated, with some very attractive traditional features. It was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Location could not have been better - a short walk to the centre of the town. The weather was terrible while we were there, but it didn't matter because the room was such a cosy little retreat. Communication was great, and check-in easy. Overall, highly recommended.

There is a small country pub opposite which was a bonus! This Airbnb is incredibly cosy, clean, stylish and homely. Wendy’s hospitality was outstanding and we look forward to staying there again very soon.

Charming Grade ll listed cottage tucked away at the top of Catherine Hill in the oldest part of Somerset market town Frome. Moments from the heart of the town but quiet and secluded. Open plan ground floor, exposed beams, stairs up to mezzanine bedroom .
This dear little cottage is small with the illusion of space. The unique factor is the sleeping platform above the sitting room. The stairs up from the sitting area are quite steep but the bedroom is cosy with the double bed in the centre to maximise headroom(6ft in the middle, 2ft6ins outer edges). Absolutely fine for sitting up in bed, but no leaping out and running to the chest of draws in the corner - the beams aren't very forgiving if you are over 5ft! Ideally this is for two people, but the sofa-bed in the sitting room allows for another person, or even 2, but the bedroom platform is open plan so privacy is in short supply!
This is surely the prettiest part of Frome, around almost every corner is a surprise and a camera moment! If you can have a bustling sleepy town then this is it. Catherine Hill which leads off Catherine Street is steep and cobbled and your route into the main part of Frome, just a 5 or 10 minute stroll depending on your agility! Independent shops line Catherine Hill and make a wander fun and interesting, it's like a little community filled with creative and like minded people where everyone chats with everyone. Occasional stops for tea or coffee are optional! History surrounds you in this part of town. The first Sunday of each month during the summer sees an independent market line the streets around Catherine Hill, and at the Cottage you have virtually front row seats!
  • Fabulous location literally right in the centre of Frome - everything is a few minutes walk away. Tiny cottage, but with everything you could possibly want. Helen was excellent at communicating, left us bread/milk/OJ/tea & coffee - her cottage is really lovely. Highly recommend and we will be back.

  • Great quirky, cosy cottage in an amazing central, yet hidden, location. We had a fabulous time here on Valentines weekend,....we stayed in more than the norm because of Storm Dennis ........ inc watching DVDs and playing dominoes with a bottle of fizz ( box games provided). The cottage decor includes hearts and we certainly found it a romantic little place.

The house is a former weaver's cottage in the old, conservation area of Frome. Just a short two-minute stroll from Catherine Hill, it's the perfect spot to enjoy Frome's independent shops and cafes. The Garden Room is en-suite, quiet and looks out onto an old courtyard garden.
The main part of the house was built in 1694, so tall people may need to mind their heads going through some of the doorways! (But don't worry, the living spaces themselves are of at least full ceiling height.)
Frome is a wonderful, quirky town, recently named the 'best place to live in the south west' (by the Sunday Times). It's well worth exploring, but is also ideally placed for visiting other beautiful places in the south-west. Georgian Bath is only 13 miles away. Stourhead and Longleat are within half an hour's drive. Wells and Glastonbury are also within easy reach. And then there are all the smaller towns and villages, and the rolling Somerset countryside.
  • A wonderful place to visit, Olivias home is welcoming and peaceful. A perfect retreat, very central, just walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. Clean, tidy and relaxed. Would highly recommend.

    Chloe2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • Olivia's place was in a perfect location for exploring the delights of Frome & she was super helpful with her local knowledge. She gave us loads of recommendations for pubs & restaurants and we had a delicious meal in 1 of the restaurants. The bed was really comfy & we had everything we needed. It was a really nice room to stay in & we definitely recommend her as a host.

  • Stylish, warm, beautiful place, really comfortable lots of lovely attention to detail. Lovely view of courtyard garden from bedroom. An easy place to relax and enjoy all that Frome has to offer. Parking in Frome is tricky but with patience you can always find somewhere to park, or even better use public transport.😊

Frome was last year voted 'The best town to live in the South West' by the Sunday Times. It is a historical town, reputedly with more Grade 2 listed buildings than anywhere else in the West Country. It has many annual events and festivals with a monthly (first weekend in the month) Independent Market and the popular Frome Festival which is held during the first couple of weeks in July.
  • What a sweet and cozy spot! Tucked away in the garden, it’s a beautiful space to unwind and get some quiet time. It’s close to town and easy to get around. Hilary and Nick have done a great job setting this space up to meet a traveler’s needs. It has everything you’ll need to be comfortable and also care for yourself while traveling, which is such a blessing. You can feel their thoughtfulness in little and big ways. Gotta love the heated floors! Highly recommend this spot, especially if you value being in your own space. The WiFi is great for anyone who works online or needs a good connection.

  • what a lovely peaceful little retreat – so near to everything Frome. Very comfy bed and beautifully peaceful. Great, also, to be able to access it independently. A clever and well designed ‘studio in the garden’ - and lovely and private too

  • This was my second stay at Brocksmoor Studio and it was as good as the first time. Wonderful. Now it's winter, the studio is cosy and dry and a lovely space to come back to after a day exploring Frome and its surroundings. Hilary and Nick have thought of everything, and it is all done to high quality. Very highly recommended.

    Sarah2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely, peaceful, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed waking to an outlook over a beautiful garden. Hilary was very quick to respond and also gave us good tips on where to eat/what to do. Thank you!!

  • I had a brilliant weekend at Hilary and Nick's place. I needed a place to getaway and work for a few days, and the self-contained unit at the back of their garden was perfect - warm and cosy, super clean, nice big comfy bed, great little kitchen with everything you need. They even added an extra large desk in there for me on my request. I'll be coming back for sure, and can't recommend it highly enough.

This is a small but comfortable bedroom which has one or two single beds (depending on your needs). There's plenty of space with just one bed and fine for longer stays, with 2 beds it is adequate for 1 or 2 nights but tight for space. For groups of 3 or 4 people, or 2 people wishing to have separate rooms, there is also a double room (see listing Ecologist's House Double Room for details and photo) with a small double bed. In that room there is space for a child or toddler in a travel cot.
The room is in my 3 bedroomed eco-refurbished 1960s town house, in a quiet location. All communal facilities are shared. There's usually two rooms available. This room is small with one (or two if necessary) single bed(s) and another (Ecologist's House 2, Double Room) with a small double bed with a comfy memory mattress. For two people travelling together you have the choice of having separate rooms but need to book separately for each one. The double room is also large enough for a travel cot. If you just want the double room please book via that listing. There is no charge for babies/toddlers in their own travel cot.
Frome is a great town with lots of old buildings, cafes, pubs, good live music scene, two theatres, independent cinema and massive market once a month (1st Sunday between Mar-Dec). My house is on an ordinary 1960's estate in a diverse, friendly community. It is 15-20 mins walk from and on the south side of town, on the top of a hill in a quiet location off road. There are views of countryside from my house (and I have a good view of sunsets over the town) but it also overlooks other houses. My house is on Sustrans Cycle Route 24 which runs from Bath through Radstock, Frome, Warminster and Salisbury to join with National Route 23 at Eastleigh in Hampshire. Longleat is 3 miles away by bike and in 2 minutes (walking) you are on the very edge of the town into open countryside beside the River Frome, where there are public footpaths through fields. There is a Sainsbury's Supermarket a couple of minutes away by car or 5 mins by bike. Asda is about 4 minutes by car and downhill on the bike so also minutes away. (steep hill). My house is in a great location from the point of view of convenience and relative tranquility being sufficiently close to many amenities, whether shops, supermarkets, cycle routes, proximity to open countryside and public transport options, while being situated away from the road. It is not, however, in a fashionable part of town, although close to conservation areas and the old village of Keyford (minutes away).

  • Our stay at Faye's place was delightful! The flat was in a convenient location near Frome which was a lovely town full of independent shops and eateries (I highly recommend Castello for tasty, authentic Italian food). The flat was stylishly decorated (particularly the bathroom) in a characterful building, inside was spotless and fresh milk was provided - a thoughtful touch. Faye's place was perfect for a short break away and I'd highly recommend!

  • A great little place to stay. Went there with my wife and 5 month old. Faye offered the use of a travel cot so we didn't have to bring as much. Place was really clean and private but Faye was only next door if we needed anything. Really enjoyed our trip to Frome especially as most things were within walking distance. The on road parking is ok and we managed to always find somewhere to park. Thank you for providing a great place to stay, we will be back if visiting Frome in the future.

  • Star and fern is a beautiful little hideaway! The location is ideal to explore Bath (30 mins ish drive) and Frome; particularly if you’re going to the Frome independent market (short walk straight down the road into town). The space is beautiful and very comfortable for 2 people, thoroughly recommend a visit. Communication was great and we had everything we needed; the perfect weekend break! Thank you Mon and Mark

  • We found Lisa's property to be a perfect resting point during our visit to Longleat Safari Park. The self check-in suited our itinerary, and Lisa was flexible and easy to get in contact with. She also made sure to give us extra advice to help us find the property in the dark which was much appreciated. She always responded to our messages promptly. The property itself was stylish, comfortable, and cozy. While the bed structures did have a noticeable frame, it was simple to sleep comfortably to one side of it and not an issue for us at all. The only thing we'd note is that the bathroom does not have a door to shut, just a curving partial wall for privacy. Overall we were quite pleased with our stay and would recommend it.

You're very welcome to stay in my home which is in a quiet, convenient area of beautiful Frome, close to the station and centre of town. Due to the Corona Virus your room & your bathroom will be disinfected and left untouched for well over 12 hours before you arrive. I suggest not using my kitchen at this time. Easy to get to Bath, Glastonbury, Wells & surrounding villages, lovely walks. Please see photos & reviews & message me with any enquiries. Thank you.
I have not been here long, but already feel very much at home in Frome. Voted one of the top 5 places to live & I agree! My guests so far, have said that they found my home to be a cheerful, clean environment, a home-from-home experience, a good shower, comfortable beds and liked having the use of the kitchen and fridge, phone charging etc. I prefer not to use Wifi, so if you have an Ethernet cable for your phone, that would be preferable. I have one for laptops. If there are two of you, please find my second single room under "Single room in vibrant Frome 2". Please check the House Rules further down in the Booking section. PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME AFTER 10.30pm. Thanks. No heavy drinkers. I do not use harsh chemical sprays, shampoos etc as my cat has allergies & so do I. Please bear this in mind, try to limit your use of sprays/perfumes etc and avoid them going onto carpets, furnishings please,. Thank you.
I live in a small, quiet neighbourhood, easy to find and close to the centre of Frome. Very close to the station also. Please turn in to the driveway on right & use the space directly next to the hedge/my property entrance behind my silver Ford Fiesta. Please see the house rules under the Booking section. Thanks.

  • I have stayed with Zed (and Sadie, the cat) for another week and really appreciated their friendly welcome again.

    Carl2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Zed included many nice touches - for example a bottle of mineral water awaited me bedside, a fresh extra towel was on a rack in the room, there were clear internet instructions and so on; and she laid out neatly my simple breakfast requirements downstairs. Everything was very clean and I slept like a log in the comfy bed. I would have no hesitation about returning.

    Keith2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Zed and Sadie (the cat) are very welcoming hosts. The bedroom is really comfortable; having a sofa to sit on makes such a difference. Great to have use of the kitchen. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The location is perfect for waking into Frome or exploring the lovely local scenery.

We moved into our new build in October so this a still very new and exciting! It is on the new estate next to Asda in Frome. The train station is within walking distance. I often walk to the town centre, although this takes me around 30mins. The walk to town can be taken passed the river and through Rodden Meddow, which is lovely if you feel like a stroll. If you wish to bring your dog, I can offer pet sitting at a small additional charge if you wish to go out with him. Thanks
    Modern feel and relaxed atmosphere
New build estate - not completely finished yet so there maybe so heavy machinery around but it a very safe place to live.
