Lovely, bright, open plan studio with balcony in Bishopstrow, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Warminster. Large bedroom with Super-King size bed, modern shower & kitchen with an oak-framed floor-to-ceiling glass window looking out over the garden. 15 minute drive from Longleat and Cenre Parcs, just 20 minutes from Stonehenge and 30 minutes from Bath.
The bedroom has an extremely comfy super king-size bed, a 37" flat screen TV with FreeSat, free wifi, a desk if your work needs to follow you home and a sofa, perfect for reading the Sunday papers. We provide a Mothercare cot (bought November 2018) if anyone would like to bring their babe (0-12 months) with them! The Loft is not suitable for toddlers. The shower room, with under-floor heating, has a large power-shower, a loo and basin. The small kitchen is fully equipped to suit all requirements, allowing you to prepare any meals you may wish to. Breakfast is provided in the kitchen: there will be fresh bread for toast, butter, marmalade, jams, cereals, teas, coffee (and plunger), juice, milk and sugar etc, bacon and eggs. Please do let me know in advance if you are vegetarian and would like blueberries and yoghurt instead. The studio is a perfect, romantic getaway for a couple who need a break from stressful jobs or demanding children! The small balcony is a lovely spot for a relaxing drink at the end of a busy day. In nice weather, you are welcome to use the picnic table and benches in a quiet corner of our garden too.
There are many interesting places to visit less than an hour from Bishopstrow. The classically beautiful City of Bath, with Roman Baths, Abbey and great shopping is 19 miles to the north. Salisbury, with its famous Cathedral and John Constable views is 21 miles to the south. Longleat House, and the famous “Lions of Longleat”, are 4 miles away; an amazing day out for all ages! Salisbury Plain is right on the door step, as is the Wylye Valley, with great walks and pubs. Stonehenge, a World Heritage Site, is 12 miles away, over the Plain and its Visitor Centre, opened in 2014, has enhanced the visitor experience significantly. The Stourhead National Trust house and gardens are 15 minutes away.
  • Really lovely space, Sally was really helpful. Peaceful spot too.

  • Went for a weekend away with my girlfriend, absolutely lovely place and very close to things like longleat! Would you 100% come back as the loft and the hosts are brilliant! 10/10 very pleased

  • A wonderfully peaceful little hideaway tucked up in a lovely area just outside Warminster! The loft is warm, light, cosy, beautifully decorated with a comfy bed and really well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The view from the loft is of Sally's lovely big garden with fields beyond and Warminster centre is a pleasant 25 minute walk away. You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive and both Sally and Jules are very affable hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their fabulous loft.

  • Lovely weekend getaway for a couple. The Stable Loft offers a large studio room, comfortable bed (we're told soon to be replaced by a queensize), good bathroom and kitchen. The addition of a fridge stocked with eggs, bacon, milk and orange juice with cereals teas and coffees on the side means you can cook a leisurely breakfast anytime you want. Sally was a fantastic and friendly host who gave us a great welcome and send off. Location is brilliant, especially as we booked an evening at the Centre Parcs Spa which was only a 10 min drive away. Would definitely recommend!

    Nick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Stable Loft is a really well-equipped, spacious and light apartment, very tastefully furnished and nice views from the huge windows. Sally met us on arrival, showed us round and was helpful throughout our stay. Very welcome supplies for breakfast too. You’d need a car, but there are great walks from the door too.

    Peter2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The space is used very cleverly and has everything we needed. Sally was so accommodating with arrival times and lots of local tips which were very handy!

  • Absolutely loved our stay at the loft, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. It has everything you could possibly need and more. It is like a home away from home with lots of lovely personal touches from Sally. We had lots planned for our long weekend and the loft was the perfect place to come back to on an evening, it is a very peaceful location. Sally was a great host, so friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for making us feel so welcome

  • We absolutely loved our stay at the Stable Loft, cosy, warm and stylish. Felt very homely. Perfect base for visiting Longleat. We went for dinner at one of the recommended local restaurants and had a fantastic meal. Would definitely recommend staying at this lovely place. Sally made sure we had fresh bread, eggs, bacon etc for breakfast which made it that extra bit special!

Quiet, tranquil and rustic, 3 Holt Cottages is a semi-detached Victorian farm-worker’s dwelling built in local brick and flint.
Your accomodation has a private entrance, off-road parking, large double bedroom, sitting room with woodburning stove, compact kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast cereal, fresh bread, butter, milk and homemade jam are supplied along with tea and coffee. Our house is old and rustic, we don't provide a 'boutique' hotel experience. Even though our walls are rough and notchy and there are areas where our paintwork is not perfect we hope you find it to be a cosy, welcoming and homely place. Please don't book to stay here if you're expecting a modern, sleek, super shiny experience!
We are 2 miles from Witham Friary village, it's a lovely bike ride to the pub (The Seymour Arms). Stourhead House and Garden, Bruton and Frome are a short drive away. Longleat, Wookey Hole, Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Avebury are within easy reach for a day trip.
  • Seona's place looks and smell super homely the minute you enter it. The wood burner is fantastic and the views are great. Lots to do in the area too. You can't go wrong!

    Sophie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful tucked away, cosy find! Seona made us feel so welcome on a cold, windy afternoon. We had a warming log burner set, milk, butter and freshly made bread and electric blankets on our beds to take the chill away. The house is delightful with lots of well thought out things to do for my teenage children, including a Wii and Xbox, lots of dvds to watch, books to read and a piano to tinker on much to my son's delight! The bedding was really good quality and was clearly freshly laundered which made it even more delightful to climb into on a cold, windy night. We will most definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it. A welcoming, cosy, clean and great value for money stay, thank you Seona.

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Well what can I say, We will be back! What a wonderful cosy, homely place. It was exactly what we needed for a couple of days rest and rejuvenation. Seona was a fantastic host, we arrived to electric blankets on the beds and a nice fire lit.

    Rachel2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Seona is a great host, there were thoughtful touches throughout our 4 day stay; milk, bread, eggs on arrival and offers to light the fire and fill the log basket. The location was great for Longleat and we also made easy trips to Wells and Chedder. The property is in a very peaceful location with the delight of owls Twit -Twooing at night! We are a family of 4 with and 3 month old and 4year old and really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend bringing a mattress for the cot, as it only comes with the thin mattress supplied by manufacturer.

    Emma2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • lovely place so many extra touches.. teas, coffees, eggs, bread, butter & jams! and seona came in each evening before we got back to light the fire for us :)

    Natalie2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant host, great communication and very willing to help. Lovely place to stay.

    Ben2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Seona‘s cottage was so cosy and welcoming! The location is idyllic and so peaceful. We used it as a base for spending the evening at Stourhead to see the Christmas lights show. When we arrived Seona had lit the fire to warm the place up. There was fresh bread, eggs and milk which was very thoughtful! She also provided some tips on nearby places to eat. All in all a great, easy experience and would definitely stay again!

We welcome you to the newly refurbished, self-contained annexe of our family house.
As you arrive through your front door there is a spacious hallway, with table and chairs, leading to a large, light lounge and a brand new small kitchen. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom with a luxury shower room. The Gables' Annexe is completely self-contained. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron that can be used upon request. The kitchen is fully equipped to whip up a hearty breakfast with an oven, hob, fridge and microwave...if there's anything you need that is not available we are nearby in the main house to help. Complementary Orange Juice, cereals, eggs, bread, Tea and coffee for your stay.
The Gables' Annexe is beautifully located at the end of a leafy lane in the small Wiltshire village of Westbury Leigh. The local pub, which serves delicious food, is just a short stumble away - at the top of the lane. There's a small community centre with a Tesco Express, fish & chip shop and Chinese takeaway just a 5 minute walk away and plenty of takeaways that are willing to deliver. During the day, explore the beautiful local country side, a visit to the hillside 'Westbury White Horse' is a must. Nearby, the artisan town of Frome or the historic Bradford-on-Avon - with it's beautiful canal-side walks - are both worth a visit. Hop on the train at Dilton Marsh Halt (5 minute walk) or drive 14 miles to the picturesque City of Bath or go further afield to indulge in some retail therapy in Bristol. The world-famous family attraction of Longleat is just a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit.
  • Exactly what we expect, easy self check in and comes with everything you need for a few nights stay, would d100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area and looking for a quiet setting! Thanks again x

  • Lovely, very clean and actually a lot more spacious than expected!

    Leandra2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, spotlessly clean and everything thought of.

    Nikki2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The annex is a fantastic place to stay, lots of room and very homely. The added extras of the bean bags, wii, breakfast items were all great. We found the location to be really good for longleat and walking distance from pub/shop/takeaways. Loved the information about what the annex had been before!

    Katy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, self contained annex ... One of the best air b and bs we have stayed in.

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend staying here. For us it was a convenient overnight stay after a Center Parcs spa day and before a day in Bath. The place is wonderfully clean, clear information about how to use the amenities and lots of nice touches to make our stay so comfortable. It’s lovely and quiet and I had the best nights sleep I have had for ages. We didn’t end up going out on the evening because we had so much fun playing on the WII games!

    Rachel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet immaculate tiny private annexe house in good distance for many Wiltshire and Somerset attractions. Space to park, though it’s a tiny dead end lane so smaller car manoeuvring easier. It’s embedded in a housing estate with local shops walkable. Living areas are warm and cosy, but bring your slippers for the kitchen is a bit nippy. We had a lovely peaceful stay!

    Debs2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay and It was an ideal base for visiting Bath. The annex was cosy, warm and comfortable with a spacious lounge and fully equipped kitchen. The milk, eggs and bread were very welcome. Matthew and Charis are perfect helpful hosts.

Charming Grade ll listed cottage tucked away at the top of Catherine Hill in the oldest part of Somerset market town Frome. Moments from the heart of the town but quiet and secluded. Open plan ground floor, exposed beams, stairs up to mezzanine bedroom .
This dear little cottage is small with the illusion of space. The unique factor is the sleeping platform above the sitting room. The stairs up from the sitting area are quite steep but the bedroom is cosy with the double bed in the centre to maximise headroom(6ft in the middle, 2ft6ins outer edges). Absolutely fine for sitting up in bed, but no leaping out and running to the chest of draws in the corner - the beams aren't very forgiving if you are over 5ft! Ideally this is for two people, but the sofa-bed in the sitting room allows for another person, or even 2, but the bedroom platform is open plan so privacy is in short supply!
This is surely the prettiest part of Frome, around almost every corner is a surprise and a camera moment! If you can have a bustling sleepy town then this is it. Catherine Hill which leads off Catherine Street is steep and cobbled and your route into the main part of Frome, just a 5 or 10 minute stroll depending on your agility! Independent shops line Catherine Hill and make a wander fun and interesting, it's like a little community filled with creative and like minded people where everyone chats with everyone. Occasional stops for tea or coffee are optional! History surrounds you in this part of town. The first Sunday of each month during the summer sees an independent market line the streets around Catherine Hill, and at the Cottage you have virtually front row seats!
  • Cannot fault this charming cottage. Location is perfect for town, and yet so tucked away. We adored it! Helen had left little touches throughout (milk, juice, bread, well-stocked basics in the cupboard) so it felt just like home and no problem when you forget the odd item! Such an easy check-in and lots of info left for us. Perfect!!

    Maxine2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A really great location for exploring Frome and the cottage is extremely clean, comfy and cosy. Helen is a very attentive host too. We are both looking forward to our next stay already.

    Jon2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location literally right in the centre of Frome - everything is a few minutes walk away. Tiny cottage, but with everything you could possibly want. Helen was excellent at communicating, left us bread/milk/OJ/tea & coffee - her cottage is really lovely. Highly recommend and we will be back.

    Lucy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful cottage in the perfect location, Helen is a lovely and welcoming host! Would stay again!

    Connor2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay in Helen’s cosy cottage, it was perfect for a couple of nights in lovely Frome. The cottage is clean, homely and very comfy, and Helen couldn’t have been a better host. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon. Thanks Helen!

You will have a double bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. There is a bathroom with a shower. In the morning a breakfast is provided. Off street parking is available. We are well-situated in a quiet road, only ten minutes’ walk from the centre of this thriving Somerset town. This modern house is a stone’s throw from the cobbled streets, independent shops and a brilliant selection of cafes and restaurants.
The bed is a standard double with an Eve mattress. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a shower cubicle. There are steps up to the house and the bedroom is up a flight of stairs.
Frome is a vibrant town. It dates back to the middle ages and mixes old and new in a truly unique way. You will find independent shops scattered among brilliant restaurants and cafes. On the first Sunday of every month, from March to November, you will find the centre of town transformed into a market place. Independent traders from all over Somerset visit and set up their stalls and you will be fascinated by what is on offer. The food is pretty good at these events too! When you stay with us you will realise how close you are to the places you’ve always wanted to visit. Glastonbury is just up the road. You can walk up to the Tor in the morning and then shop in the designer outlet ‘Clark’s Village’ in Street in the afternoon. Or why not visit Bath? You will discover Roman Britain and Jane Austin within a short walk of each other with shops and restaurants in between. If you fancy a day in the open air you can choose between Longleat and Stour Head. And only an hour away you can find one of the most world-famous landmarks of all – Stonehenge.
  • Beautifully appointed, wonderfully clean and comfortable. An all round excellent experience.

It’s decorated very nicely and has lots of amenities including breakfast foods, tea and a great movie selection. We stayed here as a base to visit both Bath and Stonehenge in one weekend. It was a good middle ground between the two. Bratton is an adorable little village. Would definitely recommend.

The Cow Shed is a converted barn on what was originally a dairy farm. The farm is now home to horses, Anglo Nubian goats, chickens and our lovely yard cats. The property has been recently renovated and provides a clean and comfortable space from which to explore Frome and the surrounding Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset countryside.

  • We had an excellent long weekend at Deb's place. We were greeted with tea and coffee which was much needed after our long journey! (as well as the bag of malteasers) Deb was a great host and gave us details about places to eat in the local area. Accommodation was clean and cosy, exactly like pictures! We would definitely book again if visiting the area in the future - thankyou :)

  • We stayed for a couple of days over new year and wanted to get away from it all, which is exactly what we were able to do. This lovely two bedroom former milking parlour in the tranquil hamlet of Brokerswood is within the grounds of a farmhouse dating back to Tudor times. Located at the edge of the ancient Selwood Forest, on the Somerset/Wiltshire border, this rural retreat is ideally located close to the historic City of Bath, Longleat House and Safari Park, Stonehenge, Salisbury and is just 3 miles from the artisan market town of Frome. A direct, fast train service to London departs from nearby Westbury.
The Old Dairy is an entirely self contained, detached property with private parking directly outside. The cottage itself has a boutique feel with super comfy beds and a warm cosy atmosphere: Spacious lounge/diner Separate kitchen 2 very good sized bedrooms; 1 double and 1 twin room (twin beds can be attached on request to create a cosier double) Bathroom with full size bath and shower. There is a big 'smart' TV in the lounge, as well as a DVD player and playstation with a selection of films and games.
Brokerswood's most notable landmark is the Grade II listed 'Tin Church' and the fabulous woodland landscape. At weekends and during school holidays, activities including canoeing, archery and 'Tarzan trail' high ropes can be enjoyed within the woodland - contact The Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team for bookings. The picturesque Fairwood lakes, open daily, are less than a mile away - with a great cafe, sunny terrace, play park, soft play area and fishing (inc rod hire) for children and adults. Part of the Wiltshire cycleway route, Brokerswood is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside using the public footpaths, bridleways and woodland trails. The area is very popular with horse riders and cyclists. There are countless quintessentially English pubs in the surrounding villages - closest, and within walking distance is 'The Full Moon at Rudge'. There are excellent restaurants and bars in Frome and Bruton and even more choice in nearby Bath.
  • We were very pleased with Georgia's place. It was warm and inviting. There we're many thoughtful touches and such cute decorations. There were no stairs which was perfect for my mom. My sister and I stayed in the room with two single beds and my mom stayed in the room on the other end of the house with the bigger bed. The beds we're extremely soft and comfortable. There was milk, orange juice, fresh eggs, croissants, bread, butter, jams, honey and cereal. Netflix was a nice option. The surroundings we're beautiful. This was one of my favorite places to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

    Sharon2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in the Old Dairy. Georgia has left us a wonderful breakfast - fresh eggs, bread, orange juice - and all of the rooms were very clean, warm and cosy. Thanks for having us!

    Liv2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a weekend and managed to visit lots of local landmarks, eat at some lovely places, whilst still finding the time to relax. We also visited Longleat Safari which is only 20 mins away. Lots of thoughtful little touches from Georgia (breakfast that lasted all weekend, luxury bath salts) my son also found a chocolate on his pillow that he was very excited about! There is so much to do nearby, but equally if you just want to chill out and relax, it’s the perfect place for that too! Thank you Georgia and Arron. I have already recommended the old dairy to several people!

    Kerry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. The local farm shop that was recommended was lovely and worth a visit. Thanks for a lovely stay.

    Leah2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful tranquil place for walks, visits to Bath and surrounding villages. Georgia’s thoughtful touches included plenty to keep us going through breakfasts etc. Would throughly recommend!

    Carla2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place with great amenities in a lovely area. Would recommend!

    Tom2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous stable/annex conversion in rural location. 10 mins away from supermarkets etc. and perfect for a country escape. The property is much larger in person and has all the facilities/amenities you’d have at home. Thoughtful touches such as locally sourced fresh milk, bread and pastries were ready for us on arrival. As well as luxury toiletries such as bath salts, essential bath oils which made us feel like we were at home. All in all I’d say that this was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in!

    Jordan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Dairy is gorgeous. Not only does it look lovely but it is so easy to live in too, everything has been thought of. We had a fabulously relaxing 4 day break, the Dairy had everything we needed for a new year relax. Georgia was a wonderful host recommending gorgeous pubs to have dinner and the fabulous farm shop very near by. I felt she genuinely cared whether we had a brilliant stay. My son is absolutely smitten with the dog. The local area is lovely and plenty to see and do.

Wise Cottage is a 250 year old cottage with a boutique feel and sweeping views situated in a beautiful village near Shaftesbury, Dorset. The cottage sleeps four, 1 large master bedroom with a super kingsize bed and a small bedroom with adult bunks (plus a guest bed for a fifth guest). Well behaved dogs are welcome! Organic toiletries, bath robes, well equipped kitchen, wood burner, super fast Wifi, garden, beautiful walks straight out of the front door, use of local tennis club.
** Covid 19 update** We understand the concern you may have about a holiday now and the closure of pubs and restaurants. What we can say is that most of the wonderful eateries around us are offering a take away service, some of them with free delivery, and so you can enjoy restaurant quality food at home, or eaten in the garden (big table and benches). We have added some of our favourites in the 'other things to note' section. There are many National Trust places around us that are open and some are waiving entry fees. Wonderful walks straight out of the front door as well of course. There is a large sitting room with oak dining table and contemporary chairs, a well fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The main bedroom has an upholstered Super kingsize bed with Vi Spring mattress, high quality microfibre duvets and bed linens. The second bedroom has full size bunk beds. Polished wooden floors, Roger Oates runners, sisal flooring and soft Moroccan rugs make up the flooring in the cottage. The bathroom has a pressurised shower and bath. Plenty of towels are provided as well as an organic soaps and shampoo range. The bathroom is situated downstairs opposite the kitchen. The garden is situated up steps from the cottage, it is probably not easily accessed by anyone disabled or infirm. It is a cottage garden, not highly manicured but with wonderful views in every direction. A table and chairs and a barbecue and tongs are also provided. There is a side access to the garden and it is fenced, so will contain a not overly ambitious dog. There is complimentary use of local tennis courts at Pythouse Club, about a two mile drive from the cottage. Please bring your own raquets and balls! Wonderful Pythouse Walled Garden is minutes from the courts for coffees and lunches. The cottage has a Samsung 32" smart TV with all the catch up services as well as Netflix and Amazon, super fast broad band, a small office with desk. Mobile reception is good, but patchy in the downstairs rooms. There is a wood burner and kindling/logs for the first night or two (bags of logs and kindling are sold at the shop a few yards from the cottage), iPod dock, Roberts radio, smart TV, towels, high quality linen and bathrobes. The kitchen is fully equipped with all china and cutlery, pans, casserole dishes, salad bowls, a Nespresso coffee maker (with coffee capsules!) and there is a supply of tea bags, coffee, sugar, olive oil, flour, herbs and salt and pepper to start you off. We always leave a breakfast pack of fresh local bread, home made jam, butter and milk. A folding guest bed can be put up in the sitting room or master bedroom for a fifth person which is fine for a night or two, but unless a young child, it is not ideally suited for five people.
The cottage is set in the beautiful village of East Knoyle (birthplace of Sir Christopher Wren) on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, amid rolling scenery. The village has an award winning community shop (a few yards from the cottage) and an excellent pub, as well as a playground and endless footpaths through fields and woods for dog walking. You will have guest membership of our local tennis club at Pythouse, a couple of miles from the cottage. If you wish to explore the West Country there are few better places to be situated. The Georgian city of Bath is 20 miles away, Salisbury 17 miles, the hilltop town of Shaftesbury with it's famous monastery ruins and Gold Hill is 4 miles and the Jurassic coast an hour's drive. Longleat and Centre Parks is only 8 miles away. There are numerous stately homes (Longleat being the most famous), castles and gardens within easy striking distance, some a couple of miles from the cottage and superb gastro pubs and restaurants nearby. There is plenty of information in the cottage and suggestions of where to visit, where to eat and where to shop. Just an hour away is the New Forest which is great to explore on foot or by bike. There are maps in the house and you can rent bikes at the wonderfully helpful Forest Leisure Cycling in Burley where there are also loads of cafes, pubs & shops. Flying Experiences at Compton Abbas Airfield - from flying in vintage aircraft and driving classic cars to the airfield for champagne lunch... and flying lessons. Dorset Art Weeks: For two weeks every year (Typically end of May & beginning June) Artists all over Dorset open up their homes and studios to visitors to browse their work, learn about their techniques and inspiration and purchase direct from the artists themselves. There are also two extraordinary contemporary galleries with excellent cafes/restaurants nearby - Messums in Tisbury and Hauser and Wirth in Bruton - both definitely worth a visit.

  • Really nice place. Main and his wife (I’m sorry, I’m so bad with names 😳) were really friendly and helpful. Was nice to have a chat with people as we had spent the rest of our trip with only our own company. Was allowed to use kitchen to cook own meals and they provided breakfast. Dog doesn’t like many people but he was definitely a fan of the hosts and loved a run around in the lovely garden. Thank you again for having us.

  • Martin and his wife are lovely hosts. Martin's personal stories helped made my stay a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful, clean and tidy and the complete use of their kitchen as well as having breakfast laid out on the kitchen table were really lovely touches. I would recommend Martin's home.

  • A wonderful place with lovely hosts. We had the whole of the upstairs which was very clean and inviting. If you are planning on going to long leat I would highly recommend as it’s a lovely place and very reasonably priced.

  • It was last minute decision when we booked to stay at Pauline’s and probably the best decision ever. Pauline’s house was impeccable, and she is a very welcoming person. She even rented us for the night, the whole first floor of the house, with private bathroom and even breakfast for next morning. The place was super cozy and wish to come back again on future trips. Thank you so much dear Pauline and well done for everything.

    Wendy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful breakfast! Bread, biscuit, milk, coffee, yogurt, jam, butter...everything you need for a energetic morning! Although this place is stated private room, actually it is the entire upstairs level with private bathroom. The place is sparkling clean and Pauline welcome us to use the shower downstairs because the bathroom upstairs is bath tube, which is very catering. The front yard is spacious and can easily accommodate our car. We would definitely recommend it!

    Darren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, quiet but close to amenities. Really good location for longleat. Clean, with the extras such as breakfast and tea/coffee facilities being really welcome. Pauline accommodated us arriving earlier than expected and was very nice to us. Would recommend

  • Pauline was a great host and we had a nice time staying at her place. We would definitely come back if we need a place to stay in Warminster

    Ioanna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline's place is immaculate and it is lovely to have use of your own private bathroom and additional room. Although the rooms are within Pauline's home it is on a separate floor and space from the rest of the house so it feels really private. Pauline was super speedy with replies and was flexible when we asked if we could change our arrival times. The bed itself was super comfy I'd love to know where you get your duvet from! The room is great value for money and I will definitely be getting in touch with Pauline if we return to Warminster.

    Nichola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Paulines & were very impressed with the accommodation & space. The location was perfect for us with a visit to Bath & Longleat, would highly recommend.

You will have a single comfy room in a quiet house and neighbourhood. There is a bathroom with a shower. In the morning a simple breakfast of bread, butter and jam is provided. Off street parking is available and plenty of on-street parking close by. We are well-situated in a quiet road, only ten minutes’ walk from the centre of this thriving Somerset town. This modern house is a stone’s throw from the cobbled streets, independent shops and a brilliant selection of cafes and restaurants.
The bed is a single with the basics for a comfy stay. The shared bathroom is newly renovated and has a shower cubicle. I have been a little over zealous with a cleaning agent and there are now bleach marks on the walls of the shower. There are steps up to the house and the bedroom is up a flight of stairs. The kitchen can be used by agreement.
The house is in a quiet neighbourhood but with easy access to the centre of town and public transport links.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Elizabeth’s. It was exactly as expected and looked just like the photos. The communication from the host was excellent - I had no issues with checking in or worries about anything. The pretty estate that the house is on is very quiet; perfect walking distance from the stunning town centre of Frome. My car was safe on the drive. There is a supermarket right across the road; it has everything that you need. The house is cosy and I was allowed to use the kitchen - great to prepare your meals if you have agreed before. Breakfast was a nice touch - toast with butter and jam with hot beverage. My room had a very comfortable bed with delicious biscuits/tea & coffee/kettle. Plenty of space to hang a few clothes for a few days. Desk and chair. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable with a good signal in my bedroom. I slept soundly here. I loved the powerful shower and decent bathroom. The place was sparkling clean and I would definitely recommend staying here. Elizabeth is an interesting, intelligent lady a we had a good chat. I will stay there again. It’s a superb base to see lots of interesting places. Excellent value for money. Thank you.

Large, characterful and private top floor bedroom with ensuite in a relaxed and easy home. I am a friendly host who enjoys travel near and far. I am happy for well behaved pets to stay (I have a cat that is used to visitors) and delighted to accommodate little ones . Edge of countryside location great for country walks or a 10 min stroll down Catherine hill and it's independent shops into Frome centre. A local shop is 5 minute walk and play park opposite. Check in from 4pm but I am flexible.
The space is located at the top of a characterful Victorian terrace with lovely views of the edge of Frome and bordering countryside. It is a large room with a double bed for two adults but can easily accommodate a family of four - a blow up double mattress is available also. The ensuite is bijou but all yours with a shower, basin and toilet. There is a kettle station which houses a selection of teas and coffee as well as a small fridge for food and drink. I provide yoghurt, milk, cereal, muesli and fruit as a continental breakfast in the room . TV and WiFi also.
Frome is quite hilly. Walk is 10-15 minutes to center of town.
  • A perfect hidden gem just a short stroll from the centre of Frome. Lucy was very welcoming and the room was really spacious and attractive.

    Mike2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy's large attic room is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful & private. Was great having my own bathroom, fridge, kettle & facilities for making breakfast & snacks. Lucy provided a lovely selection of teas, cereals etc which made me feel very welcomed. I was very busy during my stay in Frome, so never got to meet Lucy in person, but everything was very well organised. I would definitely recommend her as a great host

    Katie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very comfortable three week stay here. The room is at the top of the house out of the way and having your own bathroom is a real bonus! A fridge and everything I needed for breakfast was also provided in the room which was great. Lucy was a lovely host and kindly let me cook in her kitchen a few times. Great location, very close to local amenities and the centre of Frome. Thanks Lucy!

  • Lucy's place is lovely and just as described. The loft studio is private, warm, comfortable and spacious. I had everything I needed for a very comfortable week. The ability to grab a light breakfast in the studio was really appreciated as were the little touches that make life so much easier - fresh milk, good quality fresh coffee, bowl of fruit and local guide books. Lucy and her young son are perfect hosts - helpful, discreet, and always there to answer any queries. I enjoyed staying at Lucy's place, would thoroughly recommended it to others and I look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

    David2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

Their room (with ensuite) was clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed for a quick overnight hideaway. The breakfast counter, including milk, cereal, juice, toaster and egg poacher is a great touch - saved us on buying breakfast. Couldn't recommend more. Thank you!

It is also in an excellent location, and the process for accessing the room is very clearly communicated. Excellent place to stay for AOSB.

Located on The Hunters Moon site, the setting is idyllic with three acres of land and 2 lakes offering coarse and fly fishing. An ideal spot for pleasure anglers, nature lovers, walkers and cyclists. • Fantastic view and great place to relax, we were visited by the local geese.

  • What a lovely little find! We stayed here for two nights in the days between Xmas and new year. As we were attending the Festival of light and Center Parcs Spa it was the perfect location for us to relax. We arrived later in the day and had a really easy check in, the lodge was all warmed and the hot tub prepared ready. The lodge itself (amongst all the others at Hunters Moon) has been renovated after Luke took over towards the end of 2019. The lodge is really cosy, brilliant shower and all the amenities you could need, however bring a towel! Bed is super comfy too. Pubs and supermarkets all nearby. Little clubhouse type thing onsite, though it’s being renovated so we didn’t use it. Little lake right outside the lodge with ducks, very peaceful and romantic. It’s a lovely place to stay, Luke was super helpful and we will definitely look to stay again when we are next up there. Thanks for having us and look forward to our next stay.

Ideal studio for a single, a couple or a parent and child over 5 years. Cosy, quiet, with access to garden, 10 minutes walk to the fantastic town of Frome! Bed-sitting area plus ensuite bathroom, the studio has its own entrance. A beautiful walk through the protected Rodden Meadows brings you into the town centre, full of independent shops and renowned performance venue The Cheese and Grain. And be sure to book when the popular Frome Independent Market is on - the first Sunday of the month.
Coronavirus safety: I am deep cleaning all surfaces after guests leave. I am minimising crockery / cutlery / utensils and using dishwasher between bookings. I am removing my usual provision of teas and coffee. I ask guests to please wash hands after being out, and obviously do not come if you have any virus symptoms. A bed sitting space with a small kitchen area comprising kettle, toaster, and microwave. Enough utensils to prepare basic food plus a small fridge. Ideal for breakfast and a few light meals. Selection of teas and some coffee provided (not while coronavirus an issue). The bed is a queen sized double with a very comfortable mattress. TV receives Freeview and there is a DVD player with selection of DVDs, plus a selection of books. Guests are welcome to use the garden which has a sitting area. The shower is new and large - enough space for two! The studio is heated with far infra-red panels - a new technology that is extremely energy efficient as well as being healthy for the body. It is particularly good for allergy sufferers as it does not cause the air to circulate (therefore circulating dust). One of the panels is disguised as a painting of buddha - radiating warmth into body and soul! Bilbo the cat lives in the main house and if you like cats you may enjoy a few moments of cat love with him.
The studio is behind my house on a quiet residential street of semi-detached 1930s homes. PLEASE NOTE previous info (in THE SPACE section) about building taking place next door from March 2020 for four months. Frome is extremely popular for its Independent Markets which happen on the first Sunday of every month (except January and February). The town is closed to traffic and taken over by a huge range of amazing independent makers and producers including a delicious selection of local food and live music. There is also a second hand market in the Cheese and Grain carpark. There is so much to see and eat, it has become a popular destination from far and wide. You can walk from the Studio along the river and arrive right in the centre of things. As well as the market Frome is also known for its support of independent shops which makes the town a great place to find unique and quality products.
  • Very nice room in Frome, quite basic but has a comfortable bed, a good shower and everything else you need for a short stay. Lovely and clean, quiet location just a short walk from the town centre, and a very friendly host. The building site next door might be hindrance to long lie-ins when the weather improves, but work does not usually kick off until 8:30, so did not cause me any issues.

  • The studio was clean, comfortable and quaint. Hilary was very kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. Although previous reviews said that the wifi was slow, we found it to be more than adequate as there was an extender in the room.

The cottage has everything you need, fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer plus a dishwasher which was an added bonus! Anne is a lovely host and responded quickly to my messages, before and during our trip. We cannot fault Moor Cottage and would recommend it to anybody looking for peace and quiet or to explore the local area. Thanks again Anne!

The cottage was exceptionally clean when we arrived and with everything you need for a great stay. The log burner was brilliant and kept the cottage cosy and warm when the weather was very cold outside. The personal touches of having homemade bread and marmalade and milk in the fridge where very nice. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and will certainly do so in the future.

  • Stayed in this wonderful cottage for 2 nights. Was immaculately clean with high specification utilities. Felt very homely! Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating. We used this as a base for Stonehenge, Longleat and then an afternoon in Lyme Regis on our way home. We also enjoyed a lovely meal at the White Hart inn in Trudoxhill which was about 10/15 mins drive.

  • Wendy was an outstanding host. Myself and my partner had a lovely weekend in the cute and cosy annex. Has everything you need, the bathroom and bedroom was particularly lovely. We were given an extension on the check out time due to the awful weather, very helpful.

  • The photos were good but the place was even better. Wendy was fab, helped us out with a few bits because I wasn't very organised. The cottage was beautiful, homely and spotlessly clean. A minute walk to the pub which was friendly with fab food. I would recommend May Cottage and Wendy as a host in a heartbeat.

There is a small country pub opposite which was a bonus! This Airbnb is incredibly cosy, clean, stylish and homely. Wendy’s hospitality was outstanding and we look forward to staying there again very soon.

Our purpose built Shepherd's hut is nestled in a little wooded area on the side of our working farm and equestrian facility. You could be in the middle of nowhere yet you are only a minutes walk from the car park. From the hut you have excellent views across our 25 acre cross country course and the beautiful Wiltshire downs. You're likely to spot a horse or two, some boxing hares and a whole host of other wildlife.
The hut has a standard double bed with luxury pocket sprung mattress. A mattress protector and bottom sheet are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels. The kitchen area is well equipped and has a sink, double gas hob and a powered cool box. There is small log burner for when it gets chilly but for sunny evenings there is a picnic bench and BBQ/fire pit outside. kindling, logs and charcoal are all provided. . Enough tea and coffee for your first mug or two is provided. The Hut has 12v electricity and plenty of different lighting options to allow you to create the perfect atmosphere for a snug evening. There is a Bluetooth speaker and USB charging points There is storage for a bag or two under the bed. There's also a decent sized storage box for any food that you may bring. The toilet and shower block is a 20 second walk from the hut and has hot water on demand. As an equestrian facility we could also accommodate your horse (for an additional fee) to enable you to enjoy the equestrian facilities we have on offer. We have hundreds of miles of bridleways, all accessible from the farm. If walking is more your thing then you will find an Ordnance Survey map in the hut. There are endless options depending on how energetic you're feeling. The chalk downlands provides a unique habitat for birds and nature in general and there is always plenty to look at and enjoy. The farm has featured on both Countryfile and the One Show for its wildlife. We are on the sustrans Route 24 cycle route so cycling is plentiful. Longleat forest and Windhill bike park are also nearby for the more adventurous mountain bike rider. I'm a keen mountain biker myself and would happily share some local knowledge. Longleat, Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury are all nearby. If you want to let someone else do the cooking we have several excellent country pubs nearby (5 min drive or 20-30 min walk). If you need to stock up at anytime there's a decent store at Codford 3 miles away, or, 3 major supermarkets in Warminster, which is 10 minutes away by car.
  • Perfect little hut set in a beautiful rural setting. Really thoughtfully planned out and amazing use of space inside. Warm and cosy with the log burner despite a wet and windy night. Hot shower and bathroom facilities less than a ten second walk away. Lovely farm walks with amazing views. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay again! Thanks for a great stay.

    Jessica2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Andrews hut was absolutely lovely. My partner and I booked a night for a little getaway and was perfect! The weather outside was cold but the fire inside kept up super toasty. Amenities were really good and the hut felt more spacious than the pictures show. Toilet and shower are seperate outside but are very close and clean. Would definitely come back, maybe in the summer to enjoy the scenery more.

    Rachal2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The hut is in a fantastic location, everything you need is to hand, Spotlessly clean, great toilet and shower block, Nothing is too much for Andrew, Perfect base to tour local area, and get back to peace and quiet, This wasnt our first stay in a shepherd's hut but was the best, Thank you Andrew.

    Derek2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherds hut looks great and has all you need for a cosy night and breakfast with a view the next day. Lots of clever touches for a small space. We particularly loved the log burner that took the edge off a rainy October night. The bonus was waking up to dappled sunlight coming through the trees.

  • Very thoughtfully laid out. Peaceful and very cosy. Andrew is generous, friendly and flexible. The unlimited supply of wood for the stove made our stay extra cosy. We really didnt want to leave!

  • Andrew has created a great space here. The hut is really well kitted out with comfort and thoughtful little touches. First night we stayed was a bit chilly but 5 minutes with the log burner lit and the place was warm and cosy. The facilities were private and a 5 second walk. They were spotlessly clean and the shower was really hot and powerful. Outside the hut there was a little firepit which we sat round and enjoyed the views. It was quiet and apart from the odd horse rider very private. Andrew met us on arrival and showed us round. He was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't see him at all after that but new he was on hand if anything happened. I'd absolutely recommend this place and would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

    Ben2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem of a place!! The location is truly stunning. The most beautiful, starry night sky! We stayed after visiting centre parcs spa, which was easy driving distance, even late at night. Coming back to the Shepherds hut was just as relaxing as the spa. Basic, but wonderful accommodation. Can’t recommend this place enough. Andrew was the most fantastic host and we will definitely be returning.

    Lara2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely place to stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable and so peaceful at night. Recommend to everyone. Also Andrew was extremely helpful and flexible to my time constraints and responded in a few minutes to messages.

Beautiful family suite, located close to the conservation area of central Frome (5 mins from the top of Catherine Hill) You couldn't be better located to browse the independent shops and cafes in Frome, and if you can tear yourself away, its a perfect base for exploring the West Country. It does not include a kitchen, but does include a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities (plus breakfast!)
This glorious reimagining of one of Frome's oldest buildings is an utter delight. Beautifully comfortable and incredibly stylish, this apartment is offered to stay at a reasonable rate, and within walking distance of Frome's bustling centre, filled with independent shops and eateries. Minimising our impact on the environment is hugely important to us, and as such, the apartment is cleaned using natural cleaning products. All the toiletries are organic, sourced from a local independent shop, and using no plastic whatsoever. We'll leave you breakfast, some locally sourced milk, homemade treats and everything you might need for a relaxing stay in Frome. If you book for more than a week, we'll also provide you with a welcome hamper. This suite can be combined with the one bedroom apartment to sleep between 4 - 8
If you're already considering Frome for a visit, undoubtedly you're already sold on its obvious charms. • A lovely little suite off a quiet courtyard, away from the road but with parking close by. The room was very nicely decorated, with some very attractive traditional features. It was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Location could not have been better - a short walk to the centre of the town. The weather was terrible while we were there, but it didn't matter because the room was such a cosy little retreat. Communication was great, and check-in easy. Overall, highly recommended.

  • Me and a friend stayed at Arlene's cosy cottage behind her house for more than a week whilst taking part in a course at The Bicycle Academy. We had a great time! Arlene was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was great too, cosy, safe, quiet, just a 15 minute walk from the train station, and only 5 to the town's centre. Recommended!

The flat was in a convenient location near Frome which was a lovely town full of independent shops and eateries (I highly recommend Castello for tasty, authentic Italian food). The flat was stylishly decorated (particularly the bathroom) in a characterful building, inside was spotless and fresh milk was provided - a thoughtful touch. Faye's place was perfect for a short break away and I'd highly recommend!

  • Gorgeous flat, very clean and comfortable! Faye was really helpful and communicative and we had a lovely stay. The location is good, just a short walk from the town centre and the market. Would highly recommend - we're planning to come back again soon!

  • Thank you to the fabulous Faye and family for hosting us for the week! The apartment was spotless and well equipped with all necessities. A* hosting with quick responses if anything is needed during your stay and a step by step self check in/out made for a smooth arrival and departure.

  • A beautiful, stylish, comfortable and conveniently located flat, with some thoughtful touches. Made for a very relaxing few days in characterful Frome!

  • A great little place to stay. Went there with my wife and 5 month old. Faye offered the use of a travel cot so we didn't have to bring as much. Place was really clean and private but Faye was only next door if we needed anything. Really enjoyed our trip to Frome especially as most things were within walking distance. The on road parking is ok and we managed to always find somewhere to park. Thank you for providing a great place to stay, we will be back if visiting Frome in the future.

I live in a character property townhouse. All newly decorated throughout yet keeping the charm of all original features. Walking distance to all amenities. Lovely private walled back garden for your use.
You will have your own single bedroom with a tv, Netflix and WIFI. The other rooms in the house are shared. Shops and pubs all walking distance. You will have use of the kitchen should you wish to cook or use the microwave. Some traffic noise will be heard as it is a town house but generally quiet during the night. On a Friday and Saturday night music can be heard from a close by bar but finishes about 2330.
Warminster is a beautiful little town, full of charm. Lovely friendly traditional pubs and also a Wetherspoons. Lovely restaurants and a selection of shops. There is also a beautiful lake with lovely walks just five minute walk away from where I live and Longleat and Center Parcs is just a 10 minute drive away.
  • I stayed at Elizabeth’s place for two nights and enjoyed my stay. Her place is located in the centre of the town and it is easy to reach all locks amenities.
