This is place is the best one could expect in Chennai. I would say even in India! I was in Pravin's place for 45 days with my parents and they are senior citizens. This review might go really long, so I would like to mention the highlights : 1. Squeaky clean and beautiful house to live in! 2. Beautiful kitchen with all kind of Utensils and facilities! 3. Enough space to move around and a very rich decor! 4. I can bet that we cannot get a place in Chennai where the summer can be this pleasant! 5. Prime area in the center of the city and almost every basic/daily needs stores are in walkable distance. 6. Pravin, a very friendly and approachable host and a good guide in almost everything! 7. I need to tell that the size of bathroom was just wow and very comfortable for the elderly. In one sentence, "Its a place where I couldn't ask for more!!" Its going to be a permanent choice whenever I would need to stay in Chennai!

Pravin is a great host. His hospitallity made me feel at home. He helped with any queries we made. He even offered us Chennai coffee and breakfast! He even gave us chilled water on a hot night! All and all I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an affordable and safe place to stay.

Good

Murali is a sweet and caring host who tries to go above and beyond. The location is quiet, terrace is wonderful, allowing for plenty of ventilation and natural light. He even arranged for my luggage to be weighed. I felt very safe staying there as a single woman. Drinking water you have to coordinate with Murali and bathing water often wasn't there, but as soon as I told him he would switch on the water motor.

One of our best stays in India. Murali is extremely hospitable and helpful. We felt very, very comfortable. Everything is there and the roof terrace is beautiful at sunset. Supermarkets, restaurants (Little India good and safe food) is all around the corner. We would go back anytime. Thank you for everything Murali. :)

I really enjoyed this homestay. Murali was so helpful and friendly. He is very knowledgeable about yoga and we had some great conversations. I had my own space with kitchen and bathroom upstairs. It was quiet and I felt safe in the neighbourhood. I will definitely stay here again.

Murali is a great host. He is genuinely interested in making your stay comfortable and pleasant. The location is close to Vadapalani area where I had to work for a couple of days. Overall, it's a good experience. I will stay here again.

Thery hospitable and polite

Murali pick me up at the Airport with out even asking him to do it. Iam very lucky that i booked airbnb with him, because he help me a lot with information about Chennai and the indian culture. Murali is very Spiritual person, who knows every thing about temples and sacred places in southern india. He taught me yoga every morning, and i'm in love with his yoga style. He has this beautiful terrace with 360 deg view of Chennai, where we were practicing yoga every morning. His wife cooked very delicious indian food for me, the room and facilities were very clean and need. The three days that i spent with Murali and his family were AMAZING cultural experience for me. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to experience the REAL India. Thank you for everything Murali.

A safe haven in the middle of the city. We were greatly impressed by the location, the stylish and fresh apartment to a great price! This will be our number one choice next time we come back. Shylu was an excellent host and everything needed was provided. There was even shampoo in the shower! At the ground floor you can have your clothes ironed by two very kind gentlemen. Quiet, peaceful, modern and safe. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

I had a 3 night stay with family in "The Shade" and was very satisfied with every aspect of the Apartment. The host Shylu is very friendly , patient, calm and helpful . The flat is very clean throughout and spacious enough with everything that we needed. You would find all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay: -All basic utensils in the Kitchen. -AC in both the rooms as well as in the Hall. -Washing machine -Television -Speakers that will make your stay more amazing. -Dining table - All basic requirements in the washroom and the list will not end.. The location is very convenient for getting around . Best thing was the host's considerate behavior which really made us feel that we made the best choice for our stay. I would highly recommend a stay at this place. Thanks a lot Shylu and Kaamya. Hoping to meet you guys again soon.

An amazing place, sparkling clean and fitted with all the basic and advanced amenities. Situated in the heart of the city, easy to commute anywhere. I stayed with my family including parents and a baby. The host is very helpful and kind. I would like to suggest this place to everyone.

Had a really amazing stay at Shylus place... It is exactly as described and maintained sparkling clean. Shylu met us at check-in and handed over the keys and gave a small walk through of what we needed to know... The unit itself is compact and very comfortable for a small family - pretty much everything we needed was there. Always quick and prompt on responses and comms, this was one of the best stays I have had in India - and compares to my other stays internationally. This stay is perfectly located near restaurants, malls and a metro station. The host was communicative and very helpful. The room was cozy, quiet and clean.

Jayshree is a remarquable host. She is most helpful and wants to make sure her hosts are at best in her home. I felt confortable and secure in my room, everything I needed was there. The area is very lively, shops, restaurants and all services are in the immediate surroundings. I liked the area for its greens everywhere. Loads of trees ! it gives a total different feeling when you walk in the busy/quiet streets. A genuine area with mainly vegetarian restaurants, that I liked. Excellent for all.

I had a great time at the stay. The communication was quick and the place is very easy to find. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighbourhood, the apartment is very quiet. There's a metro station close-by and you're connected to all parts of Chennai through it. Jayshree and her husband are lovely hosts! If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place to be.

Nice location, kind hosts and clean room

Both Jay and Krish welcomed me very warmly. They are very helpful, as they will carefully teach you how to get around in Chennai and help you activate your SIM card. In addition, it is recommended that you can enjoy the goodness of homestay, such as serving homemade South Indian cuisine for breakfast. When I asked, she also taught me how to make chatoni.

A great place, not to far from the airport, but very comfortable accomodations. And better than the accomodations is the service that is provided. Quick to respond and quick to offer help/advice in Chennai. If we would have had more time, I would have liked to go by a market at our hosts invite. You will love everything about staying here.

Ganesh's house is really great. This is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment. All 3 bedrooms have air condition. Kitchen has adequate things to get you going. Having a washing machine was really handy. There is also a person who can get your Laundry done offsite. There was maid service every other day for cleaning. Communication was seamless between Ganesh and his brother (who is the caretaker for the property). We had rented the place for 4 weeks and parents also had a comfortable stay. Restaurants and Malls are close by and the metro station is a 5 mins walk. Very convenient location, just that the rush hour can get real busy. This is location is very close to major Hospitals like SIMS which was important for us. Overall, the stay was really pleasant and highly recommend this pad!

I was very impressed over the amazing hospitality as well as quick and efficient response time from the host. Definitely worth to note as this is rare to find among hosts in general. He was also super helpful in giving me tips and ideas on what to see as well as how to make my way around Chennai with tuk tuk, as this was my first trip away to India. I found it in a perfect little spot, drawn away from the traffic noise, but still only 5 mins. walk away from shops and restaurants. I found the room very spacious and had all the right equipment, including en suite bathroom, which I found really nice. Also I found the big lounge and kitchen very nice and relaxing. During the afternoon and evening I found the roof top terrace super useful and a great place to chill. Will definitely return as well as recommend this amazing place

The host is very cooperative, helpful and faster in responding when compared to others in my experience. The place is just worth the price and spacious and clean but the location is a bit congested and you might face challenges for parking and no shops near by for any basic needs.

Skye Service Apartment is a great place to stay. The entire block of apartment located in a serene and friendly residential area.they have 10+ unit of apartment and 24hours check-in and check out service.the apartment is very spacious 2bed room come both come with attached bath room.dining hall living room kitchen with refrigerator and all the utensil like plate glass cutlery. it next to a kindergarten where in the morning you can See some adorable kids waving hand at you and say vanakam.some friendly neighbours will come forward and greet you.And able to have a peek at local life.this is a foreigner safety zone.I love roaming in the neighborhood street and having a short conversation For.location wise.. Skye Service Apartment is at a strategy location. On foot - 4minutes to saloon/tea shop /wine shop/spa / eatery/pharmacy.ask.the staff for direction.it is super near Driving -5 minutes to DLF. 20 minutes to airports. 15 minutes to vijaya forum mall and T-nagar..25 minutes to besant nagar beach (Edward Elliott beach) .

Perfect place for long stays

This accommodation was excellent, thanks to the professional host and the care takers. In spite of checking in early (at 3AM!), the host Kannan was gracious and accommodating. We had some issues on the first day, with power cuts and AC troubles, both outside the control of the host. Everything went well with the rest of the stay. My family loved the food served by the cook, and the efficient manner in which Rohit the caretaker handled our needs. On the whole, this is a place I would love to stay with again, and recommend to others.

Away from the main road in a posh locality, this place gives value for money for a prolonged stay. We loved the long walks in morning in the quiet avenues of the locality.

Karan ensured that we were comfortable at all time. He was constantly in touch with us and also provided us valuable recommendations regarding eateries nearby and local cuisine. The accomodation was very neat and tidy. Would love to come back to this cozy place.
