Located directly on the Weser bike path, there are a variety of cycling tours to the rural surroundings (Steinhuder Meer, Storchenroute, Loccum Monastery, Dino Park). Beautiful day trips to Minden or to the regional centers of Hanover, Bielefeld and Bremen.

Welcome directly at the Steinhuder Meer in a very quiet location. The apartment with separate entrance offers a fully equipped kitchen, a large shower with separate toilet and a private sauna. The accommodation is located directly on the circular path around the Steinhuder Meer. A public access to the lake is 400m away. Here you can get started with our SUPs. With our bikes you can reach Steinhude in 15 minutes. There is enough space for 2 adults and 1-2 children.

Both sides of the Weser can be explored by the Petra Solara ferry and the Weser bridges in Nienburg, Schlüsselburg, Petershagen and Minden. Excursion destinations such as the glassworks in Gernheim, the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument in Minden and Porte Westfalika, the waterways with the Weserkreuz and much more are very popular. Please note, the nearest grocery store is 7 km away...

Pappelheim

In the north of the Dümmer Nature Park, between the Diepholz bog lowlands and Rehden Geestmoor, where the cranes winter, lies this small half-timbered house in a very quiet rural location. There is a kitchen, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom and the attic studio available on approx. 70 m² of living space. Terrace, garden and parking at the house are included. Smokers and urinators must stay outside. Dogs are allowed in, but not in bed.

Welcome to the apartment 'Die Inselwohnung'. We offer a comfortable, spacious and fully equipped apartment that comfortably accommodates up to 5 people on 110 square meters. If necessary, even more people can be accommodated. A children's travel bed is also available. Due to our convenient location, we are very easy to reach by car and also by bike (immediate proximity to the Weserradweg). Consumer markets and bakeries are in the area.

My mono Teuto

NEW: Right next to "Mono" is another house, "Nest in the Forest." You can also visit. Or both… “Mono” is a trailer that was converted decades ago. In the course of a complete renovation, it received a timber frame skeleton all around in 2020 (new roof, new insulation, etc.) and thus a first floor. Size: 3.20 by 13 meters. It is called "Mono" because its exterior, like every room inside, is mainly determined by one color.

Circus wagon on the alpaca pasture - pure relaxation!

At Alpakahof Strange, we live with many animals on an old farmstead from 1848. The Lower Saxony hall house is still in its original condition in some parts and exudes the charm of a long-gone rural tradition. In the pasture behind the farmhouse stands the spacious circus wagon. The wagon shares the pasture with our llamas and alpacas, who graze and rest there during the day. Pure relaxation!

I've been around for 50 years… even though tiny houses are all the rage right now, I've been around a long time… but I've recently been renovated and look forward to welcoming interesting guests!
