  • One of the very best Airbnbs I have experienced. The hosts are so gracious and the beautiful home was impeccably clean. Super comfortable bed and so many little touches like a white noise machine, a basket of snacks and a carafe of water in the room. Lisa provided a lovely homemade continental breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Such a peaceful country setting but we were able to get to town in just 10 minutes. My siblings and I hadn’t all been together with our Mom for 13 years so we especially appreciated having everything we needed for our short stay. Wonderful hosts who take great care to make sure guests are well cared for during their stay.

  • The Fair House is a spacious little home nestled in a beautiful country setting...yet not too far away from the city. The home was clean and well kept. There were books to read and even games to play. The Fair House is an excellent place to stay. The hosts are amazing...quick to answer questions, offer suggestions on local places to dine, and make you feel at home...all while giving you complete privacy. Ern's place is definitely on my list to stay at again.

  • Pleasant place to stay

    John2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience in sharing a home with a host and it was a wonderful one. They went out of their way to accommodate our unique traveling situation and were very congenial and welcoming, making us feel comfortably at home immediately. The colorful room had plenty of extra space for changing, etc. and a desk area at which to work or wrap presents (!). Thoughtful touches were provided throughout - extra blankets & towels, hair dryer, toiletries, stationary supplies, local listings, TV, morning food & fuel. And the delightful Hector presided over all! Our only disappointment was that blooming season had passed so we missed all the beautiful flowers we had read about.

    Terri2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Regina is very nice and she treat us with wine to release. The dog is very loving.

    Qiqi2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Far exceeded our expectations- beautiful home, amazing hosts! You won't be disappointed if you stay here! And, Hector is the sweetest dog ever!!

    Wayne2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Dan and Regina are very hospitable hosts. Although I arrived later than expected, they were very understanding and accommodating. During the stay, they did everything they could to make sure I felt at home. If you are fortunate enough to stay at their place, you will see that they really care about their guests, from the information folder in the room to the special note on the breakfast table. Last but not least, you'll also have the pleasure of Hector's company ( in my case, I got to play with him in Dan's beautiful garden). Dan and Regina really set the bar high for other Airbnb hosts. I would definitely recommend their home for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Pittsburgh area!

    Seunghyo2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Regina and Dan are great people. They will make you feel at home.

  • Nada and Fred were excellent hosts! They we very friendly and welcoming. The farm was a beautiful spot with a variety of animals to see. Nada provided us local tips the day we arrived. Fred made us an amazing breakfast in the morning. The house is very nice, clean, and artsy. We had access to our own den, the downstairs bathroom, and our own nice size bedroom. They also allowed us to utilize the fridge and have waters from it and offered us to join for dinner. We would definitely stay again! Thanks Nada and Fred

  • A Beautiful, spotless home filled with interesting art and decor. Nada and Fred may be the nicest folks you'll ever meet during your Airbnb experiences. From the home made Blueberry Muffins to the farm fresh eggs cooked for us at breakfast Nada and Fred made sure we had everything we needed. Although we had little time to visit with them due to our busy schedule, I highly recommend this place and these wonderful hosts to anyone needing a place to stay in the Butler/Saxonburg Pa area.

    Randy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful people and a beautiful home! Very social turkey too, which you won’t find anywhere else! :)

    Angela2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing quaint bed and breakfast. Super clean. Great hosts. The breakfast is amazing especially from fresh eggs. The grounds and animals are amazing. Highly recommend for a get away.

    Jesse2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in several different Airbnb’s in the past and this surpassed every expectation we had. The atmosphere is so incredible it is almost indescribable! We have not felt this relaxed in years! Getting to walk around the property and visit with the resident turkey, llamas, emus, chickens and roosters and incredible peacocks (including a white peacock which I did not know even existed!) and Rose and Baby, resident adorable doggies, Spot, the farm cat, and a personal fave, Google the cute cute little birdie that loved attention. Fred and Nada were absolutely amazing and made us feel right at home. Sitting on the back porch in the evening and watching beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds was peaceful and serene. We even got to help with some baby peacocks and turkeys. The bed is so comfortable we wish we could take it home and the place was meticulously clean! The homemade breakfast was so delicious! We will be back for sure! If you are looking for a serene place to enjoy this is it!!

  • David's house was a fantastic place to stay for exploring the area of Pittsburg. It is located in the middle of nature, in a quiet place. It is 35 minutes drive from downtown. All of the decorative touches are so nice and made for a lovely stay. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we had a hard time leaving. I would strongly recommend to a friend in a heartbeat and will hopefully stay there for any plans of visiting Pisstburg or any surrounding areas.

  • Wonderful nearly 100 year old house with a story to tell. Gracious hosts and clean, comfortable and spacious room. Some outside noise. Highly recommend it.

  • Diane and Doug's place is incredible. A gorgeous century home with a very private, peaceful back garden and yet its right off of a main road. From the moment we arrived both Diane and Doug were so friendly, giving us a tour of the house, making sure we had anything and everything we needed. We had a wedding to attend and they even took a picture of us on the beautiful staircase before we left. It almost felt like we were visiting our own parents or grandparents, we would highly recommend staying here and should we ever have the need to stay in butler again well make sure that it is here!

  • Diane and Doug were perfect hosts. They made me feel right at home. I definitely will be back.

My house is a 1967 ranch. The downstairs is completely finished, that's where the bed dresser, desk, closest, sink, microwave for quick food, and washer and dryer will be. The whole downstairs is yours. I have the full kitchen and bathroom upstairs, you may use them, anything you need will be there. You'll have to get food, but I will table shelves, I have someone who lives in one of my rooms that's home on weekends only that puts food in the kitchen. The living room have 65" tv, wii, Netflix.
You get the whole downstairs. But you may come up for living room/bathroom/and kitchen whenever. You may you anything in kitchen. & the tv is a smart tv it has Netflix, wii, and a DVD player.

  • I’ve stayed at plenty of airbnbs but this is the first review I’ve ever done. Quite often pictures are deceptive but not this time. Everything was immaculate, rooms are spacious and the house had everything we needed. Barb was super prompt to respond to my questions, had a plate of goodies ready for our arrival and even had the house decorated for the holidays which was a pleasant surprise since we invited family over for visits. I had wished for a full length mirror and then realized there was indeed a mirror hiding behind the bedroom door. She seems to have thought of everything. We hosted a family party which she kindly approved and also let me send packages to her house and she then delivered them to the rental. Just really above and beyond hospitality. Best part was that our dog could run and play catch in the big field in the back. This was a wonderful base while in town for the holidays.

    Kathy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place I’ve ever stayed. The house was perfectly clean and prepared for us even with Teo young children. Special touches like a toy box and play rug, homemade muffins and a set up portable crib for our baby with sweet sheets and blanket made us feel so taken care of. The yard and brook is gorgeous and we enjoyed getting to know one of the friendly neighbors who showed us his whole farm. Barb was over the top kind and thoughtful and we truly appreciated it. We have so much family in the area and would love to stay here again.

    Melissa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Barb’s place is wonderful. It is a short distant to Pittsburgh and other towns nice to visit. The garden is beautiful. Our dog had a great time! She is a great host. Thank you!

    Daniela2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very relaxing - clean- photos don’t really do any justice to the details they put in this place.

    Archana2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Stoney Creek Bed & Breakfast. Barb was an amazing hostess. From the moment we checked in she had fresh cookies waiting for us, bones and a toy for our dog, and a pair of cozy socks and a treat on every bed. The space is gorgeous, and starting our mornings with a view of the creek and lush green spaces was a peaceful way to begin each day. The beds were comfortable, and the living room was perfect--our young children (1 &4) were able to play in the play nook, while we cooked, and there was a great selection of movies for us to entertain them with. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to going back!

    Rebecca Rawls2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This house is wonderful. It's modern, clean, well-stocked with everything you'd need, and set on a beautiful country lot with a creek and lots of land. Barb is a great hostess...she is friendly and helpful and only a quick text away if you need anything. We had our annual ladies' weekend there and already booked it again for next year. Highy recommend it!!

    Tracy2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely home in the countryside is well worth your consideration if you are visiting the Pittsburgh area. Do not pass it by due to it’s being a bit outside of town - it’s a short hop into downtown and a very easy drive. For those who do make the choice you are rewarded with an absolutely stunning home, sparkling and neat with wonderful, clean architectural lines and views of woodlands, a bridge and a proverbial “babbling brook.” In addition to the stunning setting, your host Barbara will welcome you with wonderful and warm touches of hospitality. For example: knowing it was our son’s graduation from CMU “Barb” left a thoughtful card, a small gift and some chocolate. Later, she stopped in with homemade chocolate-covered strawberries, which were delicious. As far as everyone in my family is concerned, Barb is the best! Sitting on the porch listening to the brook, watching wildlife and simply communing with nature are what’s on the agenda here, along with stillness and calm. So, definitely choose this beautiful, comfortable and well appointed home (there’s even a home theatre!) when planning a trip to Pittsburgh and environs. You will be glad you did!

Agritourismo USA! We have a comfortable room; with two cozy twin beds and a shared full bathroom. Enjoy a bit of farm life. Experience how food is produced with our diverse farm animals, community vegetable farm, and the chance to help the crew. Great fresh meals!
Our 1950's stone ranch house is set right in the middle our 85 acre organic farm. With comfortable, family friendly accommodations, our guests can settle in and feel right at home. The guest bedroom has two comfortable twin beds, a dresser, ceiling fan, and shared bathroom. We provide linens and towels.
Our township takes pride in it's agricultural heritage - with lots of green rolling hills and winding roads - you'll know you're in the country - but still so close to Pittsburgh! There's rails-to-trails, local winerys, parks, and a few antique stores close to our town. Of course, Pittsburgh is only 30-40 minutes down the road. Day trips to the Laurel Highlands or Allegheny National Forest are very doable from our farm. We have mainstream grocery stores nearby and a few big box stores not too far away. We're also only 15 minutes from a great natural foods distributor. We're the place to go for farm fresh, local and organic foods in the area!
  • Jennifer and Gregg have a special slice of heaven that they generously share with visitors. This was my second time staying at their farm. Warm and cozy home, best bacon in the world, awesome family!

    Gayle2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and her family are wonderful hosts. We felt like part of the family. If you're interested in learning more about farming, this is a great place to stay. Very comfy beds and tasty waffles!

    Richard2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is in the upstairs of the farmer's house with a bath shared with other guests if the other room is also booked. The family is welcoming and yet stays out of your way if that is what you like. It was perfect for me since I am a former farmer and I fit right in. The farmhouse is somewhat secluded and very quiet. What a terrific place to stay. I'll be back if I get in the area again.

    Harry2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here with Jen and Greg. They were welcoming hosts and we got to learn a little bit about the organic farm. Had a peaceful sleep listening to the crickets. We also stocked up on some great organic meat and produce for the trip home!

  • Location was great choice for us. This is an older very well-maintained home in a quite neighborhood the home was very clean and the host left us lots of information about the surrounding area. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

  • A perfect spot for our family of five with two toddlers and a 4-year old to visit relatives in my hometown. Angela and David are fantastic and responsive hosts who helped guide a new Airbnb user through the process and made our stay feel like having a home away from home.

  • You WILL NOT be disappointed! Originally from Butler and came back for a high school reunion. The new hotels are outrageously priced and the cheaper ones aren't nice. So grateful to have found this gem. Close to everything we needed, awesome little sitting room, plenty of space. Though we didn't use them, the downstairs common areas were well equipped. Plenty of paid street parking just remember quarters! Thanks for the hospitality Michelle! Look forward to staying w you again!

Since the house is a true timber frame, all of the beams are created with only wood joinery and secured with hardwood pegs. The beams are a highlight in the house creating very large open spaces. The house features a spacious great room and dining areas with the ceilings soaring to the 30 feet to the third-floor loft. The fireplace is made of Maryland flagstone on the first floor. The kitchen includes a commercial range and a walnut bar top that is 2 inches thick with wood that had been in storage since the Depression. We have onsite parking for guests. For additional photographs, please check our website for Meadow Rock Farm.
Located in the foothills of the Allegheny mountains, Meadow Rock Farm is a peaceful and tranquil country estate. We are only 25 miles (about 45-minute drive due to traffic and the rivers) to Downtown Pittsburgh and the Strip District, and 15-mile commute to Cranberry Township. We are within easy driving distance to the following wedding venues: Armstrong Farms, White Barn, Lingrow Farm, Succop Conservancy, Butler Country Club, and The Mansion. Saxonburg is a 5-minute drive and our closest town, although it is more like a village. Its founder, John Roebling, invented the cable which was used to build the Brooklyn Bridge. Visit its historic buildings, antique and gift shops, specialty food shops, and restaurants. Pittsburgh is filled with great museums (Andy Warhol, Mattress Factory, Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Art, Heinz History Museum to name a few), plus a great food scene. While visiting in the summer, catch a Pirate's baseball game at PNC Park. The Cultural District includes the Byham Theater, Benedum, and Heinz Hall for theatre, ballet, and symphony performances. Several State Parks are a 30-minute drive: McConnells Mills for hiking and rappelling, and Moraine State Park for biking, hiking, and fishing/boating rentals, and in the winter when there is snow, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling are options. The Rails to Trails running and biking trail is about a 15-minute drive to a convenient parking lot.

  • The pictures of this place are beautiful, but don’t do it ANY justice! Visited a weekend in October right when the leaves are perfect and the fireplace in the living room is perfect for the colder nights! Jill and her husband Rhett were more than courteous and truly thought of everything for this home. We had 2 handicap people with us and it worked perfect with the 1st floor bedroom. 18 people and 1 baby and we fit perfect! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

  • This house is beautiful, has great amenities and is in a beautiful location. It is perfect for a special event or a family reunion. It is super clean, the beds are all really comfortable, and there are a variety of games and books available to suit all tastes. I will definitely be back!

    Diane2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful and relaxing reunion with my family. It didn't hurt that my family was very impressed with me for finding such a beautiful, spacious and fun place. The space was beautiful both inside and out. It was very peaceful with the flowers, trees and meadow - in addition to the house being located about half a mile from the road. We brought our own food but other than that everything else we needed for the long weekend was provided.

    John2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house and grounds are amazing. Tons of room to spread out. Our family trip with 20 was very comfortable and everyone cant wait to come back. Fantastic host with all the right touches!

    Brian2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect for our large family attending our daughter’s college graduation. The setting was fantastic and the house comfortable and clean. Jill and Rhett have gone above and beyond in providing a great experience for their guests. The house is well-equipped to handle large groups- everything from 2 coffee pots, to large pots and pans to providing toiletries and games and books and suggestions for local activities. Communication from hosts was terrific from initial booking through checkout. We highly recommend!

  • My husband and I stayed at Roeshel's for a trip home over the holidays and absolutely loved it! Roeshel met us for a quick tour when we arrived. The whole place is filled with cute little touches and smells amazing (all essential oils). She even had it decorated for Christmas and it looked incredible! The bed was super comfy and there are throw blankets to keep warm under and a full kitchen should you need it. We would definitely stay again!

    Shannon2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place had everything you need and more. I mentioned to the host that I was visiting my 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter for the holidays and I found a basket of perfect toys that were placed to share with her in the space. The house is sparkling clean and the atmosphere so inviting. Everything you need to have a nice getaway! I highly recommend staying here!

    Christine2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • You will be delighted with Roeshel's hospitality and this comfortable, lovely space. It was easily our best Airbnb experience! Everything was perfect!

    Amy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful Butler City Apartment is indeed a beautiful apartment. Everything was very nice, and the apartment was a beautiful, cozy place. The couch and beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very modern, with high quality, modern cooking utensils. Roeshel obviously takes a lot of pride in this apartment, and it shows. I was very pleased with my experience there.

    Robert2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I booked Roeshel's place for our wedding weekend. We used the space to get ready in and as a retreat after our long exciting wedding day. Her space is decorated beautifully with many amenities for her guests to use. One feature my make-up artist loved was the long table/desk with built in outlets...so convenient! It also smells heavenly due to her use of essential oils! We loved having such a cozy well designed space for our little stay-cation. Not only did she go above and beyond with her communication and little touches but she also surprised us, not once but twice! When we arrived the morning of our wedding she had laid out a little welcome platter of fruits and drinks with a congratulations sign hung on the fire place mantle. She also drew up a cute little note on the calendar on the refrigerator! When we arrived back to the space late that night after having the most perfect wedding day, we were greeted with another surprise. The entry way and stairs leading up to the AirBnb had been decorated with rose petals and electric candles. This led to a decorated romantic set up outside the apartment door along with chocolates, drinks and chilled glasses. We cried. It was the most perfect ending to the beautiful day we had just shared. It meant the world to us. Her thoughtful touches, ultra clean + super hip space and her timely communication make this easily the best place to stay in the Butler area. If you are in town or just want a little stay-cation I can't encourage you enough to book Roeshel's space!

    Lizi2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great stylish space with very thoughtful personal touches

    Ryan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment next to a cute down town! Our first Airbnb fell threw last minute and Roeshel was on top of getting back to us and having us stay with such short notice! So many extra touches to ensure a great stay! Lists of local places to eat and a calendar of things to do! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Definitely recommend.

    Brittany2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Roeshel’s place was simply spectacular!! Luxury surrounded us in every detail of her space. The kitchen was a dream...I enjoyed cooking up local vegetables. The beds were super comfortable with fabulous linens. And the decor was right out of a magazine! Roeshel’s special touches made this my favorite all-time AirBNB experience. We felt so at home and didn’t want to leave. If you’re lucky enough to get to stay here, I’m certain you’ll feel the same way.

    Liz2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures do not do this place justice! The house and property are absolutely beautiful. I would imagine that someone built this house for themselves, there are so many loving thoughtful touches through out the house. The layout of the house is extremely well thought out. We used the house to explore Pittsburgh for the weekend and we were not sorry! It’s extremely easy to get to and was cheaper than a hotel room. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need, the coffee machine is a keurig if you want to bring your own coffee. Our only regret was not spending enough time at the house relaxing!

    Maureen2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Allegheny Oasis was an amazing place to stay and we loved the location. It is right under a train bridge so there’s the occasional train overhead but we thought that added to its charm. The house and grounds were just well beyond our expectations. If I could give more than five stars, I would. The views were brilliant too!

    Stephanie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do the experience justice. While I was eventually (pleasantly) surprised by the late night trains, that didn't even detract from the view and the privacy. It really is an oasis. We felt completely comfortable at all times. The kitchen has everything (except food, of course) needed to feel at home awayfrom home. I look forward to going back!

  • The Suite Retreat is a fantastic place to stay! The house is so charming and each of the suites are unique and if you are able to utilize the entire property it works very well for two or three families as there are three individual suites with a nice dinning room, kitchen, living room and pool table room. The house is only a block off of Main Street where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc. Michelle was very responsive and available whenever we reached out with a questions. I would definitely recommend the Suite Retreat.

I do live at this location and will likely be there during your stay. In some instances I can sleep out or go away for the weekend upon schedule/flexibility/request. There are shared spaces. Bedrooms and Bathrooms will be private. No more than two separate groups will be reserved for the same period. Please be respectful and considerate of other people.

  • Love loved loved her house !!! The pictures do not do it justice! It is beautifullly decorated and smelled SO CLEAN! You wouldn't even know she has a dog! Speaking of the dog , I am super scared of them but her is silence as a mouse. She also kept him with her the entire time so honestly if I didnt notice the dog eating area in the kitchen I honstkg wouldn't have know she had one. She was very responsive to messages. I recommend her home for sure. My friend and I stayed in the room with the 2 beds and thebeds are much larger than what it looks in the pictures.

  • Plenty of space, nice size bedrooms. The back deck was a beautiful place to spend our time there. We ate every meal and socialized outside. As far as the look of the house, another guest mentioned it wasn't updated. While that is definitely true, it didn't bother us. Bill was easy to work with and we would rent his space again.

  • We stayed in the Bantam Bungalow and it was actually even better than the pictures. The layout and space was perfect for myself, my sister, her husband and my two young boys while we were in town visiting family. The entire space, including the common areas, was spotless and comfortable. This house is just beautifully restored and the location is great. We loved walking to Main Street every morning for coffee and muffins and I highly recommend Butler Brew Works for dinner, also within walking distance. I wish we had more time to explore some of the other restaurants and shops there! Excellent communication with the host was also a plus. We hope to stay here again for future family visits!

Glamping is a one-of-a-kind experience! On our 34 acre farm, enjoy your stay in a furnished 12' x 15' tent with a queen size vintage, brass bed. Come and fish on our private pond, bike or walk on rails to trails, or visit wineries in the area. We welcome you to enjoy a star filled evening at your private firepit!
Glamping at Whispering Pines Farm offers you a peaceful retreat! Enjoy relief from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Relax at your private campsite, catch & release bass, blue gill, and catfish in our pond, take the boat or canoe ride, read a book, take a walk, play croquet or a game of horseshoes. Turn your phone off & leave your iPad at home! Enjoy the beauty and tranquility nature has to offer.
Whispering Pines is a 34-acre farm in the rolling farmlands of western Pennsylvania. The moon & stars are breathtaking with zero light pollution. From June through July, the lightning bugs light up our fields and the towering 120 year old pine trees. You will have the opportunity to experience the peaceful landscape of our farm that we are fortunate enough to experience every day. Guests may see an occasional hawk, fox, or deer on the farm, as well as various species of birds! We welcome you to sit around a campfire, enjoy conversation or the silence and chatter of nature!
  • This farm is beyond beautiful. Don and Kerry went above and beyond to make everything comfortable for us as the weather was a bit iffy for the weekend we chose. We ended up staying in the Carriage house due to rain/snow and were extremely satisfied. The carriage house has its own kitchen and large common area with lots of cool vintage items to check out as well. All of the animals on the farm are very friendly including the little orange barn cat that followed us around while we went fishing on their pond. It was truly a lovely experience and we are definitely going back in the spring to try out the glamping side of things!

    Laura2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! Would highly recommend

    Michaela2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Whispering Pines was wondrous. The tent is the perfect accommodation for a fall evening. The property is absolutely gorgeous. To top it off, Kerry and Don could not be more generous. Not only do they provide a fantastic camp site and ensure that you are taken care of, but they share their home with open arms. Kerry provided us with a tour of the farm, introduced us to her beautiful animals, and taught us the keys to horse training. We are so grateful to have met them and had the opportunity to find refuge at their farm.

    Allyson2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a great weekend! Whispering Pines is a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle. We brought our 2 and 4 year old daughters with us for their first camping experience. Kerry went out of her way to make sure they enjoyed the farm, even introducing them to all the animals, letting them pet chickens, bunnies, cats, and horses, and letting them feed the chickens and bunnies treats! The girls are still talking about what a great time they had. As adults, we enjoyed being able to camp in a beautiful setting without having to worry about pitching a tent. And also- Kerry cooked us a delicious country breakfast in the morning and even sent us home with eggs fresh out of the chicken coop! What a treat!

  • Whispering Pines Farm is an absolutely wonderful place to spend a weekend. Kerry and Don are fantastic hosts, from cooking us breakfast both mornings and giving us a full tour of their beautiful property, to just hanging out and talking to us. There were many highlights of our stay, but spending time with their collection of animals was definitely a major one. We found all of their animals especially friendly, especially Jessie the barn cat, who is the most affectionate cat we've ever met and who became our best friend immediately, spending a large portion of her time with us when we were in our campsite. The property itself is beautiful, and affords the perfect balance of privacy and closeness in case guests need anything from Kerry and Don. The multiple ponds and forested surroundings were a perfect place to sit back and relax. We're already planning to go back, and hopefully visiting the farm will become a tradition for us!

  • My husband and I stayed one night to celebrate our 9th anniversary. It was exactly what we needed! The tent was so clean and the bed was really comfortable! We took a nap as soon as we got there! When we woke up we took a walk around the property checking out all the chickens, ducks and horses. We ran into Don who we ended up chatting with while we played with their dogs! We stuck pretty close to the tent the rest of the evening, playing games and enjoying our alone time. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast and ended up spending a few hours with Kerry talking about the property. Kerry and Don are phenomenal hosts and we can't wait to go back!!

  • Wow! What a wonderful adventure! Not only was Kerry and Don’s farm incredibly beautiful, but they are such hospitable, friendly and personable folks. We very much enjoyed meeting them and their furry and feathered family members. The farm is well-maintained with lovely gardens throughout. It'd be hard not to enjoy the serenity and beauty as one looks around taking it all in. Kerry and Don are a very hard-working couple who obviously take pride in their farm and enjoy sharing their little slice of heaven with anyone needing some down time from their busy lives. But they’re never too busy to accommodate a guest’s request, whether it be for a late-night campfire, suggestions for local points of interest or for even just for some extra towels. The tent itself is large, clean and private with a very comfortable queen-sized bed. Its front “porch” area includes a small table and chairs that provides a nice area for us ladies to freshen up and keep the "glam" in glamping. At the tent area is a firepit along with two comfortable chairs for catching up after your day and just relaxing. Taking a walk not far from the tent you’ll find restroom facilities along with a large stainless steel sink. Towels, Qtips, cotton balls, a mirror, lotion and handsoap are all provided at the sink. Kerry and Don are more than willing to share their knowledge of the history of their home and never hesitated to answer questions about their animals and talk about life on their farm. We look forward to a visit back to their farm in September for their festival to share in some shopping, good eats, live music, and to say hi. It’s always a blessing when we have the opportunity to meet new people and try new things. Our stay at Whispering Pines allowed us to do both. Thank you to Kerry and Don for giving us the opportunity to make wonderful memories. Dee and John

  • I had heard about glamping and decided to arrange a glamping weekend for our 10th anniversary. After doing some research, I decided to book the weekend at Whispering Pines farm. We're glad I did! Kerri and Don were wonderful hosts, and their farm is delightful. While some 'glampers' might prefer the available solitude under blue and starry skies, our inclination was to interact with our farmer hosts and their 'family'. They have three 'puppies', four horses, three ducks, and an innumerable number of chickens and roosters. While the horses are not for riding, we did make fast friends with a bag full of carrots! The farm has 2 good-sized stream-fed ponds which we shared, in a rowboat, with the ducks. We had been getting on so well that we decided to accept their dinner offer (on our anniversary night) and cancel our Saxonburg hotel dinner reservation. We hung out under the stars around a perfect fire, talking and listening to 'the bridge'. We saw, firsthand, that running a farm is a dawn to dusk endeavor. To that end, Kerri and Don are a perfect pair, working together to 'get 'er done'. I could go on, but I'll leave some space for self-discovery. We had an unexpectedly, jaw-droppingly wonderful time, and are looking forward to our next glamping weekend with our new friends.
