  • Very comfortable place in a great location. I especially enjoyed having a big pad just for me, where I could spend evenings reading books about Newfoundland (there is quite a book collection to choose from). Sheila was very friendly and helpful, she told me many stories of her life on the tip of the Northern Great Peninsula and gave me many tips. I definitely recommend staying at Rabbit Hill, as visiting this faraway spot of Newfoundland.

  • A lovely space, with a living area, bedroom and large bathroom all spotlessly clean with access to a wonderful kitchen for breakfast with the basics all provided, located in a private and quiet setting. Sheila, our hostess, was a delight and so quiet that we didn't even know she was there. Saint Anthony is well situated for touring L' Anse Aux Meadows, which we visited while here (it was wonderful). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

  • We really enjoyed our home-away-from-home at Liam’s mom’s home. Our space was comfortable with our own family room, bedroom and bathroom. We had full use of the kitchen and there was a great selection of breakfast food available. Sheila was a warm and gracious host and many good conversations were enjoyed. The location is close to Fishing Point and had a good view of the harbour. We would be happy to return here.

    Joanne2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, sparkling clean, really comfy bed and wonderful host! Would highly recommend!

    Sam2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful say at Sheila/Liam's place. We had the basement to ourselves, which is spacious and clean. The neighborhood is safe and quiet which makes for a good nights sleep. Sheila is very nice and interesting to visit with. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • Much more spacious than we were expecting. Very clean and had all the amenities that we needed, would definitely recommend.

    Josh2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a quiet half-mountain, exclusive semi-underground hall and room, clean and warm, washing clothes is very convenient, Liam's mother is very generous, I like this stay, especially recommended

  • Very nice space in a great location. As others have mentioned, don’t be put off by the exterior of the building the units inside are very well done. A very good base for exploring the area. Curtis met us when we arrived and is always available to answer any questions.

    John2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very spacious 1 bedroom apartment in a 4 story building with a view of the harbor.

    William2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a super one night stay at Curtis's apartment. We arrived quite late to St Anthony, and were checking out places to stay when we found this. Curtis is friendly, was very quick to respond and we were checked in within half an hour. Curtis met us at the apartment to let us in and show us around. Even though from the outside the building might not look very modern, the apartment has been renovated to a very high standard. The apartment was really cosy, warm, homely and inviting and had everything that we needed. The comfiest bed that we have slept in on our tour of Newfoundland so far, and a view of the harbour from nearly every window. It is really centrally located, and was easy to just walk out to the visitor centre and to Fishing Point the next day. We wanted to stay another night, but unfortunately it was already booked, which was our loss. Would highly recommend and would love to come back - thanks for hosting us Curtis! Manish & Karen

  • Lovely accommodation. Clean & nicely furnished.

    Anna2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Like so many places in Newfoundland, you can’t judge a book by its cover! Curtis’ units are in an unpromising looking building, but once inside you find a newly decorated, pleasant apartment with an extremely comfortable bed and nice kitchen and living room. There is a lovely view of the harbor. Curtis was on hand right away to check us in. The location is great for exploring this wild part of Newfoundland. We counted nineteen moose when we departed in the early morning hours!

    Barbara2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This old orphanage far exceeded my expectations! I expected it to be nice from the photos and reviews. But it was really lovely. The renovations were flawless, the decor was classy and the quality of furniture, cabinetry and the finishing touches were perfectly coordinated. Add spotless and you've got the picture . Curtis was prompt and friendly and seems to be an ‘aim to please’ kind of guy.

    Joey2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Curtis’ apartment was a great find. We loved everything about it - location, very clean, very spacious, well-stocked, comfortably furnished, etc. We used the kitchen extensively, and my wife especially appreciated the little extras, like salt, pepper, mayo, mustard, coffee filters, bottled water, etc.. Communications with Curtis were excellent, and responses very fast, and helpful. Curtis couldn’t be there to greet us in person, and let us in, but he had arranged for someone else to meet us, and walk us through everything. Curtis’ place is like a “diamond in the rough”. We loved it, and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

  • I can't recommend this highly enough! Book right now because you will never forget your time at Fishing Point - Dustin's place. It's such a special and unique house in an incredible location. If you are heading to St Anthony, this is definitely the place to stay. We've stayed in quite a few air bnbs, but this place is truly special

  • Wonderful, well appointed home. Too bad it was a little cool and we couldn’t completely enjoy the amazing deck however the great home and fabulous views made up for the weather.

  • Great location, clean and comfortable.

    Craig2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were three people staying at Dustin’s home and all of us loved it. The house offered a wonderful view of St Anthony’s Harbour. The house was inviting and clean, offered a washing machine and dryer as well as parking and enough information about the area. There was plenty of space; three bedrooms with a number of bathrooms with lots of privacy indoors and out. There were numerous seating areas outdoors to enjoy the stunning views in all directions. All of us would have liked to stay longer. We consider this airbnb one of a kind. We recommend it highly. Elfriede

  • This older cottage has been updated to be comfortable and cosy. It has a private setting. The views from it are fantastic. The outside areas of the property offer spaces for enjoyment on a large wharf, on a private beach space for a campfire, covered seating on an outside deck if the weather is inclement, a picnic table for outdoor eating, and assorted chairs in various locations for enjoying the outdoors plus a barbeque.

    Carol2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spectacular location with great views of St. Anthony Harbour. It is well equipped and comfortable. The outdoor space is unmatched. Dustin is helpful and quick to respond.

    Claire2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a one of a kind gem. After a long day of sight seeing coming to this beautiful location was the perfect way to end our trip. Dustin’s place has everything you could think of but the view and deck are one of a kind.

***PLEASE READ THE LISTING PRIOR TO BOOKING ROOM #1. If you are a group of 4 up to 7, there is 2 more room to rent if you need. Look at our other listing, under "Boyce's Place Room #1, #2 (3rd room extra fee)" If you need only one more room, look at our other listing under "Boyce's Place Room #2" It is an old house. Don't expect Fairmont style accommodation. Boyce has some of the cheapest place to stay in the region.
If you want to live a true Newfoundland experience, this is the place to stay! Boyce's place is a hub of activity; many locals stopping by for a visit or a card game. Boyce and friends will keep you entertained during your whole stay. If you catch a cod he will cook it up fresh for you that night. His fried codfish is one of the best tasting in the area! Boyce is a true local, born and raised in Quirpon. He knows Quirpon and the waters around it like the back of his hand. Best of all he likes to share his knowledge. His place is located right on the water and is a spot many a local fishermen come to visit and help clean fish. Take the opportunity to watch how it’s done and listen to the local dialect. You may learn a phrase or two! If there is no fishing, go sit on the dock and look out at Quirpon Island. It’s a great spot to relax.
Boyce’s place is located just off the main intersection of Quirpon, but do not worry it’s a quiet neighbourhood, except maybe the gulls. There is a small beach right on the property where many a beach fire has been lit. A short walking trail is at the end of the road about 1km from Boyce’s place. It offers a great view of the ocean, icebergs and Quirpon.
  • For those with flexibility and an open mind, staying at Boyce's place is a very memorable experience that I very highly recommend. His hospitality is a huge part of the experience!

  • This is a truly Newfoundland experience. It is right on the water and the house feels very cosy. Location: 10mins from L'anse aux meadows and about 35mins from St Anthony. Boyce was a great host. Very friendly and welcoming. Tried to be as hospitable as possible. I only stayed one night but wished I stayed longer

Looking for a beautiful, quiet retreat to relax and unwind. Located in the beautiful fishing community of Goose Cove with a population of 175, this 2 bedroom home is ideal for a couple, a family or a few friends. It’s just steps away from a local walking trail with a beautiful view the Atlantic Ocean. This Vacation Home is comfortable, cozy and super clean !! :)
A fully equipped home located just minutes away from St. Anthony, the main hub of the Northern Peninsula. The Harbour View Vacation Home has two bedrooms, one room with a queen size bed, one with a double size bed, and there is a futon located in the living room which can open up to accommodate up to two more guests if need be.
The neighborhood is great...helpful, friendly people, close to the ocean and the nearby walking trail. It is quite common to see whales from the community. Another tourist attraction are the enormous icebergs that float by right outside the harbour, both are beautiful scenic sights to be enjoyed by all. The fishing wharf located directly behind the vacation home is owned by my husband so feel free to take a stroll out on the wharf, listen to the waves and enjoy Newfoundland in all its glory.
  • Tanya was very easy to communicate with, and the place was nice and clean and spacious. Perfect for a nice getaway!

    Jessica2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location. A very clean and comfortable large home. Nice deck overlooking the cove. Nice local decor touches. Hurricane Dorian passed right over during our stay and we were snug and comfortable even with the storm raging. Great host communication.

    Anette2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Goose Cove is beautiful and easily accessible to all of its "next door" communities. We thoroughly enjoyed the vacation home which had everything we needed to welcome us back after our many adventures in the area.

  • This is a cozy, welcoming home in a beautiful location. You can watch the sunset over the water from the deck, or from inside if it’s cold! It’s only 8km from a bigger town where you can buy groceries, and under an hour from L’Anse aux Meadows. Lots of nice walks around the place, and close to an old playground if you have kids!

    Kit2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Site on the waterfront with fisherman's wharf, beautiful landscape. Whole house very well equipped and spacious. Room decor particularly successful. We had contact with the father of Jason (a fisherman) very nice. This rental is very recommendable.

  • This is a lovely house with great amenities. The setting in Goose Cove gives a true feeling of being in outport Newfoundland. The hosts respond quickly to enquiries. And the instructions provided were thorough.

    Maureen2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location at the water. Jason shared where we might see whales and dolphins. Sure enough we saw a whale then a number of dolphins jumping out of the water as they raced along. Home is clean and comfortable with a number of unique displays or antiques. There are two nice bedrooms so two couples could stay. We loved it.

Nous sommes bilingues Follow us on Instagram @Mightyyetiadventures *PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING* We are situated in a remote area with very few neighbors. It is a quiet, cozy and homey little place. It has the feel of a cottage with a great ocean view. DISCLAIMER: This is an old house. If you expect a Fairmount style room, you will be disappointed. It is not all square. But it is very clean and comfy!
We live in the house and have two to possibly three rooms for our guests. The couch might also be used if necessary. There is a full bathroom on the main floor and a toilet ans sink in the basement that will be shared with us. This is an open house. We love visitors, so expect locals to show up for tea, games and a good chat! Guests are more than welcome to join in, but if privacy is what is desired that can be accommodated. We love cooking food that we gather from the land, often giving a unique twist on traditional cuisine.
This is the very end of the Northern Peninsula of the island of Newfoundland. It is a tundra and sub-arctic environment. We have beautiful vistas, islands, icebergs and wildlife. Our property is an ocean front property with a beach within walking distance. There are also walking trails right out our front door. We are 10 minutes drive from the Parks Canada National Historic site of L'Anse-Aux-Meadows, a UNESCO and only official North American Viking site.

    William2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fredy and Kim were amazing hosts. We had a great time at their place and we enjoyed their hospitality. The location is perfect to have a calm and relaxing time. Everything around is very accessible and would definitely recommend to anyone.

  • My stay in Quirpon was my first in a 16-day journey. Freddie and Kim made my adventure start off on just the right foot - They were so welcoming to their home, and they meant it that if you wish to try some local Newfoundland bites or sips - they will give you an experience! It's located on such a quiet spot and it's beautiful. I felt very comfortable in the space. Thanks for giving me not only a great couple of nights, but an experience I won't soon forget!

    Karen2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! As soon as I arrived I felt comfortable and at home, greeted with such genuine hospitality. They go above and beyond with their thoughtfulness and making sure you have whatever you need. Room was comfortable, location was beautiful. Really enjoyed my stay here.

    Sam2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend a stay with Freddie and Kim at their cottage. Just understand that you are sharing the space with them. They will be sleeping in the bedroom next to yours, and everybody shares the one bathroom. Fortunately, they are nice, friendly, and interesting people, and they are very hospitable and helpful. The location is scenic and peaceful at the end of the road, and facing a cove. Distance to the Viking site is a 17 minute drive away. The offered me a fishing excursion for an extra fee; I declined, but they returned with fresh cod and Freddie cooked up a feast that they shared with me without charge. Probably the best cod I've had in my life! (Freddie did make a point of saying this is not a guaranteed experience for every guest). Their room was the best value I could find in the L'Anse aux Meadows area.

  • Beautifully clean and well located to explore L”anse Aux Meadows. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There are laundry facilities for a small fee - definitely welcome after a week on the road. The rooms are spacious and well thought out. Thanks for a great stay!!

  • We found the place to be very nice and clean. The morning breakfast was also very good. The rooms were a little on the small side but I thought they were cozy. The location was perfect since it was just down the road from the Viking settlement. I think it might have also had a great view except I couldn't tell sure due to the thick fog when we were there.

    Sharon2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Curtis’s place was exactly what we needed after two days of cycling in the rain, cold, and hills! It is sparkling clean, has all amenities needed, beds are extremely comfortable, WiFi works great, very quiet, windows with views to the harbour, and it is a great location- right in town, next door to historic sites and a museum, and very close to the lighthouse and trails. Communication with Curtis was immediate, and he helped us out so much! He and his sister Lisa are very friendly and outstanding hosts. It was the perfect place for our family :) thank you Curtis!!!

    Susanna2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Curtis' apartment. Brand new, sparkling clean, and the absolutely most comfortable (new) furniture. The set up worked perfectly for our family of four. My kids were happy with the fast wi-fi, and after a day of exploring, we loved coming back to the comfortable couches in the living room. Really - this place is perfect! No complaints at all. Note that the building is still a work in progress, as Curtis updates other units within the building, but it had absolutely no impact on our stay. It is neat to stay in such a historic building. It happened to be hot while we were there, so the air conditioning was appreciated. We never thought we'd need a/c in Newfoundland, but it ended up being great to have. Rent this apartment, you'll be glad you did!

  • You are going to Grandma's house.... with a red jacuzzi ! Remote , quiet , yet there is a store next door if you need anything . You can eat at the fire-hall on the corner if you don't want to cook , and if you are a musician that can play a wonderful antique organ , you will be in your glory . A Keurig coffee maker --- with coffee provided ! We had some wonderful walks on the rocks by the light-house , only a couple of miles away . Lace doilies , lace curtains , and lots of knick-knacks that were collected by the owner --- a look into the past . We were allowed to use the washer downstairs , as well as the dryer . I was tempted to use the clothes-line from the back deck...haven't used one in years , but we didn't have enough time to do that . Loved it !!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Howard’s home in Cook’s Harbour. The house is very clean, bright and comfortable. The space was roomy. Howard’s local family members functioned as our hosts and were welcoming and helpful. We utilized the house to visit L’anse aux Meadows and St. Anthony, and is within reasonable traveling times to both places. All three of us and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our time in Howard’s home.

    Gordon2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is exactly as described. It is incredibly clean/tidy, very well equipped, comfortable and very homely. Howard communicated very well and responds to questions quickly. His sister Barb is delightful, very friendly and helpful, and her convenience store next to the house seems to be a social hub frequented by a number of the characters from the village, all of whom made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the isolated position of Cook’s Harbour and weren’t at all concerned with the drive time to L’Anse au Meadows or St. Anthony. A great stopping point for us on our tour of NL.

    Dave2019-08-17T00:00:00Z

Her space was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. It is a cozy space, made warmer by Yvonne's warm and welcoming personality. I would definitely stay with Yvonne again if she would have me!

  • We visited during the off season, so unfortunately most places were closed. But this place was a great location, very clean and had many extras in the kitchen, you could easily cook meals there. It was cosy and right on a little cove with chairs outside to enjoy the sunset. There was a gang of ducks and a large goose that popped over to say hello that were pretty entertaining!

    Amy2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this cottage for one night as we were heading to L’anse Aux Meadows. The location is ideal for visiting the site as it is within a 10 minute drive. The weather wasn’t ideal so we did spend the evening in the cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful and clean. It is easy to make yourself comfortable there. There is a fire pit that would have been a great option for those travelling at a better time of year. The hospitality was great and we did have a meal at Skipper Hots as recommended and we would recommend it as well. Overall, a great experience and great place to stay when visiting the Northern Peninsula.

If you want to live a true Newfoundland experience, this is the place to stay! Boyce's place is a hub of activity; many locals stops by for a visit, or a card game. His place is located right on the water and is a spot many a local fisherman come to visit and help clean fish. Take the opportunity to watch how it's done and listen to the local dialect. You may learn a phrase or two! If there is no fishing, go sit on the dock and look out at Quirpon Island. It's a great spot to relax.
Boyce's place is located just off the main intersection of Quirpon but don't worry it's a quiet neighbourhood, except for maybe the gulls. There is a small beach right on the property where many a beach fire has been lit. A short walking trail is at the end of the road about 1km from Boyce's place. It offers a great view of the ocean, icebergs and Quirpon.
  • We spend one night at this place. Boyce entertained us with a lot of nice stories and even took us on a snowmobile ride! It was so nice how warmly we were received! Definitely recommend this place for the perfect experience!!

  • The very best place to stay for true Newfoundland hospitality. We watched the fishermen clean and salt their fish, we sat around the kitchen table with lots of neighbours and family. Even found that we had friends in common. Our favourite place to stay ever!

    Enid2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay at Quirpon with Boyce and Michelle. As we arrived we met a friend of Boyce, an archeologist from the Smithsonian. He was visiting with a group of students after working on a project in Quebec. What a wonderful experience to visit with such a talented group of young people. The historic home was located on the water with beautiful views on all directions. The hosts were gracious and so accommodating. My 90-year-old mother felt it was a highlight of our trip to Newfoundland. We chose this AirB&B as it is close to L’Anse aux Meadows. For those of Scandinavian heritage or with an interest in Viking history, this is a must see UNESCO World Heritage Site. Boyce and Michelle, thank you for your hospitality and sharing your home with us!

  • If you're planning on spending time in this gorgeous area of Newfoundland, the Raleigh Rooms is a fantastic place to stay! We were traveling with another couple so we stayed in one of the units that had 2 bedrooms and kitchen/living area...super clean and surely almost new. The rustic cabin-like setting fit right into the ocean waterfront right outside the front door. There's local tour options right in town and an easy drive to all the other attractions in the area. A great time, and a great place to stay!

    Sean2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome suite. Brand new, beautifully finished and outfitted. It is in the middle of the historic fishing village of Raleigh, which is a really special place and one of the highlights of our stay in Newfoundland. Around the corner is a great cafe. Try the moose burger. Also, we got lost trying to find it as the map app put it in a neighbouring town. It is on the Main Street in Raleigh, across from the turquoise shed.

  • Wendy was a great host, providing tips and information for the region, as well as a very nice and clean place to stay, and a great breakfast. Location is perfect.

    Joseph2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy is a talented and sincere host.Helped me a lot, especially for the young girl who explore this area alone. The breakfast served is nice,so does the views. I can’t help taking pictures every morning. I appreciate the help she gave me, including show me around and give me the travel advices. It’s such a pleasure to meet Wendy.

    Rachel2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy is a warm and welcoming host. The house is charming and the location is stunning. Five minute drive to l'Anse aux meadows. We got to select breakfast from a small menu and chose what time we wanted to eat. She prepared us a wonderful breakfast of bacon, eggs, fruit as well as fresh bread and local jams. We also had great interactions with fellow travellers at breakfast. She also recommended several trails, activities and restaurants for us. We had a beautiful dinner at the Norseman . (Wendy called and made a reservation for us) and we also were lucky enough to see Icebergs in July with the Dark Tickle Expeditions (Wendy also recommended them, and they did not disappoint. The crew on this tours was informative and friendly). Also, we needed to use the Laundry facilities and since we were short on time, Wendy did a small load of laundry for us, neatly folded up for us when we returned from dinner. (well worth the 5 dollar fee!) I cannot say enough about Wendy as a host. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Wendy for your warm hospitality.

  • Great place to stay. Wonderful host.

    Cindy2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy is a wonderful host. The place is clean and comfortable. She has a rather extensive library of Newfoundland guidebooks and histories to look through. Also, ask her for dinner recommendations; she pointed us to the Daily Catch nearby, where we had a very nice dinner accompanied by live music from a folk singer.

    David2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was very polite and helpful. She was able to provide some great travelling tips for the area as well as let me use her home phone to make calls. The wifi and cell reception are not great however that goes for all of the town. There is a nice breakfast menu order sheet where you can pre- select what you would like to eat for breakfast the next morning. Wendy’s location is incredible as the view from her property of the ocean is breathtaking. Highly recommend a stay here.

Wendy is a wonderful host; she is friendly, easy to chat with, has a lot of knowledge on Newfoundland, and provides thoughtful recommendations on where to eat and what to do in the area. Location is excellent: stunning views from the house and Hay Cove is situated just outside L'Anse aux Meadows. We had a delicious, hearty breakfast before we departed. It was a bonus to have laundry facilities in the building. Our place looked out over the harbor which reflected the sunrise and sunset. A quite place located in town. Convenient to all that we needed and all the places we wanted to explore. Our host was available and communications timely. We highly recommend this place.

  • Don’t be discouraged by the building’s outside appearance. This apartment is a gem. Great wifi, satellite TV, reclining leather furniture, brand new appliances and fixtures, super comfy bed and very clean. There was a laundry room right below us to wash and dry our clothes for a very nominal $1 charge. The location was also very good, right next to the visitors centre and iceberg boat tour. And a short drive or walk to Tim Hortons.

Although the room wasn't spacious with two beds in it, it was warm and very clean, the shower was great and lots of hot water. Marie checked us in and looked after us well.
