Places to stay in Oregon

Places to stay in Oregon
We have a few dates that are becoming available from guests that are unable to travel to Oregon. Booking for AUG/SEP/OCT/NOV is Sunday, June 7th at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time. We usually have more available spaces late season. Sign up for our Booking Notification/Cancellation List by emailing summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G). Our 2020 season runs Apr 2 - Nov 16. And please - please! - read the "Tips for Getting a Booking"!
BOOKING THE SUMMIT PRAIRIE DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS... Several of our booked guests have contacted us asking us to please stay open so they have an opportunity to get away and relax in a relatively safe environment. We understand. We are trying to be socially responsible while at the same time meeting the wishes and needs of our guests. We really want to see you, but also to keep us all safe. At this point we do not plan to close unless we are ordered to by the state or county. Oregon Governor Brown's recent Executive Order 20-12 (dated 3/23/20) directing everyone in Oregon to stay at home to the maximum extent possible does not require us to close as long as appropriate social distancing can be maintained. Like all other businesses, we are taking extra measures to make sure the spaces are as clean and safe as possible, paying special attention to surfaces most frequently touched. Obviously we can't guarantee anything, but we are doing all we can to reduce the risk to you as well as to ourselves. We have only 2 reservations per week. No one else but the two of us will be here during your stay. And we live in our Summer House about 500 feet away from the lookout. If you do decide to come, please plan on staying here during your entire visit. That’s not a bad thing. There are plenty of things to do here - hiking, soaking in the hot tub, watching the deer in the meadow, and there are lots of games and books on the shelves of the lookout. Simply being quiet and apart from the hurt of the world right now is worth it. If you do decide to cancel, we will fully refund anyone, at any time, regardless of the reason, no questions asked. Should you decide to cancel, we would of course prefer that you do that sooner rather than later but we realize that isn't always possible. Also, if you're not feeling well, please cancel, even if it is last minute - we totally understand! We respect your decisions. And look forward to hosting you at Summit Prairie. 2020 SEASON BOOKING INFORMATION Our prices will remain the same as they have for the last 4 seasons. However, we will be moving to a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Thursday, check out Monday and a 3 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Monday, check out Thursday. Check in/check out days will be Mondays and Thursdays only and we will not have any 2 or 1 night stays. We can only take about 60 reservations per year and there will be hundreds of guests trying to get a booking when we open the calendar. We allow our previous guests priority booking each year and they usually book about the half the season and almost all of the weekends prior to opening our calendar to the general public. You can Like the Summit Prairie on that site where you Like things, follow us on Insta or visit the summitprairie website for the latest updates. TIPS FOR GETTING A BOOKING 1. Make sure your Airbnb profile is filled out completely including a clear photograph of yourself, your government ID, what city you are from and a little bit about yourself. Our intention is not to discriminate against anyone but when we see an incomplete profile we feel like a guest is trying to hide something. We've had guests that were able to secure dates only to lose them before confirmation because they didn't have their profile completed. That is an Airbnb requirement, we're not in control of that. 2. Have all of your credit card information completed on your profile. Booking will happen very quickly and you will not have time to add credit card information when the calendar opens. 3. Early season 2020 (April through July) is completely booked but late season (August through November) booking will be June 7th, 2020 at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time - we usually have more available dates in late season because we have fewer large events pre-booked here. We will book our 4 night stays (Thursday through Monday) at 9:00 a.m. and our 3 night stays (Monday through Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. Check back here for updates or visit the summitprairie website and sign-up for our Booking Notification List. 4. Refresh your browser frequently. The entire booking window will last less than 10 minutes. Don't worry about sending us a message when you send us your booking request - someone else will grab the dates while you're typing your message! After the calendar appears full, continue to check back every few minutes during the first hour - guests frequently get overly excited when booking and dates that appear to have been booked end up opening up again. We will announce on the site when all dates are filled and booking is completed. 5. Be flexible on your dates. Most of the weekend dates and summer mid-week will already have been booked by our previous guests so most of the dates available will be early season (April/May) or late season (October/November). 6. Once you book your dates, you won't be able to change them as we will be completely booked for the season. You also will not be able to change the number of nights but you can cancel your reservation and if we're able to rebook the dates, we will give you a 90% refund (this is less strict than the Airbnb strict cancellation policy of 50% refund up to 2 weeks prior to arrival and no refund 1 week prior to arrival). 7. If you're unable to get a booking, visit the summitprairie website and click on Booking Information. Or send an email to summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G) and we'll add you to our Cancellation Notification List. We usually get 5 to 6 cancellations during the season and the sooner you get on the list, the more chances you will get to book. 8. Finally, we do know that it is a complete hassle to book with us so we are extremely appreciative of you guys that stick with us through this process!! Thanks and we look forward to seeing you someday at the Summit Prairie! ---------------------------------------------------- Missing peace and quiet? Wishing for space to relax and renew? Here is your chance! Off the grid, atop a 40-acre meadow on 160 acres of private land. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County, Oregon. Welcome to Summit Prairie! Hear the wind give voice to the trees at the edge of the meadow. Listen to the birds calling in the valley below. Let the peace you feel here…. stay with you. Your hosts, Alan and Dabney, will welcome you, help carry your things up the four flights of stairs, and orient you to all the wonders of this place, then leave you in peace so you can enjoy. Built in Two Thousand Nine, the lookout tower is modeled after Fire Lookout Towers built by the US Forest Service in the early Nineteen Hundreds. However, it's enhanced with modern essentials: a full kitchen featuring hot and cold running water, propane stove, refrigerator, heater and lamps, exterior shower, comfortable beds in the cupola and main floor with windows all around to let in summer breezes and breath-taking views. And while simply chilling at Summit Prairie is oh-so-fine, think of this place also as a launch point for day trips to Crater Lake (2 hours), or Ashland, site of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (1.5 hours), or historic Jacksonville, site of the annual Britt Festival (1.5 hours), Rogue River Rafting (45 minutes), the South Umpqua Falls (45 minutes) or the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville (1 hour). Imagine! Kick back and relax, read a book, play a game (or three)… write in a journal, meditate… daydream in the hammocks down the hill… soak your cares away and relax in a secluded wood-fired, spring-fed hot tub… Even dance under the moon or sing to the stars. Memories are made here. Come to Summit Prairie...
Enjoy 160 acres of pure, private bliss. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest, you'll awaken each morning only to the sound of birds calling in the trees or bees humming about their business in the meadow. In the evening be amazed at the sunsets, and then as the dusk settles into darkness, exhaust your ability to count all the stars that light up the sky.
  • I’ve been delaying this much needed review simply because I’m so overwhelmed by the place and don’t even know where to begin. No review will do Dabney and Alan’s place justice. It’s just impossible. Every part of staying here was remarkable. Getting to the summit is an adventure (and part of the fun) and so long as you follow instructions, it should be pretty easy. Once you arrive, the view will blow you away. Nothing can prepare you for the absolute beauty, peace, and quiet that this space offers. It is everything we wanted and then some. Dabney and Alan are among the best hosts anyone could ask for. Kind, generous, professional... they are without a doubt 100% of the summit experience and I only wish we could’ve spent some more time with them. Thank you to both gentlemen for letting my girlfriend and I stay here. Summit Prairie will forever be embedded in our memories as a spectacular experience.

  • I 100% recommend Alan and Dabneys place! Everything was well thought out, including directions, recommendations for activities, and the initial walk through. I won't forget driving up and seeing Dabney wave from the top of the look out. Its an iconic scene. We never had any questions because they were very thorough. There was literally nothing more we could have asked for. As long as you bring enough food, and it's well planned, you'll be fine. I also recommend spending a full day in the cabin, to get the full effect. We happened to catch some poor weather, with only a few moments to catch the gorgeous view but we made the most of eerie fog and rain. Having no inclination to leave the look out due to weather, it was quite possibly the most relaxing trip we've ever taken. Staying in the look out for 2 days, there was plenty to keep us entertained. My only regret is not signing the guest book. Thank you so much Dabney!

  • Summit Prairie is amazing! When you drive up to the tower and see it for the first time it is breathtaking! Dabney was waiting for us at the top of the tower with a friendly wave to walk us through our stay and answer any questions we might have. They had everything we needed for a long weekend stay, and great local tips on things to see as well! Cannot reccomend it enough.

    Delaney2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Expect to unwind and get some exercise going up and down the stairs to visit poo bear😀. If you don’t feel relaxed and refreshed when you leave you might need counseling.

    Becky2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Well worth the wait! We finally got to reserve a one night stay here and it was everything we imagined and more. The perfect place to reset your mind and relax with the ones you love. The tranquility of it all is really something that has to be experienced and taken in!

Magic Barn, circa 1936, former sculpture studio restored by community artists with old growth barn wood, upcycled furnishings, kitchen, claw foot bath, baby amenities, with a sculpture garden. Centrally located in the heart of a charming restaurant and boutique district; 3 blocks to SE Hawthorne and Division. 15 minutes the the airport, downtown and convention center. 4 bus stops and rental bikes within 3 blocks, ample free street parking. Book The Magic House in conjunction for 10 people.
Built with Love! We are permitted by the city of Portland to host 10 guests at the Magic Barn and The Magic House, which are adjacent. Please feel free with questions to see if we can accommodate the needs of your large or small group: The Magic House Link: https://airbnb.com/h/themagichouse Cannabis is legal in Oregon. You are welcome to responsibly smoke tobacco and cannabis outside only. There are many dispensaries within walking distance. Family amenities are available upon request: portable crib, baby bath, high chair, etc. The Magic Barn was Todji's sculpture studio for fifteen years. Most of the sculptures in the sculpture garden were sculpted right here and are exhibited for everyone to experience. When Todji first moved into the main house as a renter, the Magic Barn was a crooked old shed with broken windows, no electricity, water or heat and was filled with trash. Todji turned it into his sculpture studio, and then purchased the house in 2004 when banks were giving loans to anyone, including self-employed artists! Todji rented rooms to other artists while restoring the old house and building his career as a fine art sculptor. Todji and Gisele painted the outside of The Magic House and Magic Barn with seven colors over three summers. During the summer of 2015 Todji designed and built the Magic Barn with the talented carpenters and fine art painters Theo Holdt and TJ Ravenwolf. The interior wood siding are salvaged old growth barn planks, and the ceiling is made of the original 1936 rafters and sheathing. Look at the outside walls to see the twist in the structure, and Gisele's beautiful painting! TJ’s painting is hanging above the couch. TJ is native American from the Alaskan tribes of Koyukon Athabaskan and Muscogee Creek. TJ collected all of the natural pigments in the painting from areas around Oregon in prayer, and his prayer in painting now graces the Magic Barn. Todji and Gisele produce public art bronze sculpture monuments for US cities which you may already have seen, or that you may see one day. Hobie is your onsite host and he He is a novelist and professional writer. He is available to both respect privacy and also assist during your stay. We support the local art community by giving cleaning and maintenance work at the Magic House to community artists. Thank you for reading our story, we hope to host you at the Magic Barn!
The Magic Barn is centrally located in one of the most charming and hip neighborhoods in Portland. With the center of both SE Hawthorne and SE Division St within 3 blocks, there is an abundance of restaurants, boutique browsing, grocery stores, neighborhood strolling, and park hiking options within walking distance. See a movie, or just step in to witness the beautiful and iconic McMenamin's Bagdad theater, accompanied by an incredible restaurant/bar/pool hall in the back called the "Back Stage Bar", at SE 37th and Hawthorne. It will give you a feel for classic Portland! We are minutes from Mt Tabor park which has a lovely forest with walking trails sitting upon a dormant volcano, and we are 45 minutes to the spectacular 600 foot tall Multnomah waterfall in the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge scenic area. Division is the new up and coming Southeast neighborhood. With lots of modern architecture, new restaurants and shops you will get a feel for the freshest vibe Portland has to offer. Here is a list to get you started: Restaurants: (The options are endless but here are a few popular favorites!) Serving Food Late - Sapphire Hotel at 50th and Hawthorne, Romantic and sexy atmosphere- great for late night drinks and gourmet bar food. Below are the names of hikes that we love and recommend. Check the website to find a hike with a distance and fitness level that suits you. For those who are visiting the gorge for the first time, I recommend visiting the most spectacular, and also the most touristicated, 600 foot Multnomah Falls. Nestled in the private backyard of our family home, a neighborhood hub. The round, rustic, romantic MudHut hides in a secret garden overlooking the St. Johns bridge and sparkling river, near Cathedral Park, Forest Park, downtown St. Johns, canoe and hiking trails... Firepit, permaculture gardens, loaner bikes, community life, view!
Our hut was handbuilt by family, friends, and community with great love and serves as a guesthouse, homeschool hut, sauna and sanctuary. Wood-heated and candle-lit, it's a tranquil, rustic sleeping space. I recommend staying two nights for an immersive experience in the relaxing atmosphere. We are makers, artists and parents, and our land is a lively reflection of our creative life, often with projects brewing and children playing. A humming hive in a hidden wood on a bluff above the river.
We're in St. Johns, Portland's northern-most neighborhood and a small town of its own with a strong community identity here. Many families here trace their roots back to James John, the pioneer founder of St. Johns who is memorialized all over the neighborhood. Downtown St. Johns is a few blocks away, with plenty of restaurants (Thai, vegan, soulfood, chinese, pub grub, pizza, deli, breakfast, coffee & gelato), an old movie theater and shopping (lots of vintage). Cathedral Park, three blocks away, is gorgeous and photogenic with access to the Willamette River and the awesome overhead presence of the gothic St. Johns Bridge that you can see from the hut. We're also close to a lot of natural areas for urban hiking and paddling. Forest Park, full of trails and old growth forest, is right across the bridge. Just north of here is Kelley Point Park, the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers; Smith and Bybee Lakes, a wetlands for birding and paddling; and Sauvie Island, with beaches, farms, nurseries, hiking, fishing, & birding. We're on the Pacific migratory fly-way, so lots of raptor action around here. Bald eagles, peregrine falcons and hawks swoop by regularly.
  • A wonderful stay! There were too many cute touches to count, and it didn’t take long for it to feel like coming home when I opened the door of that cute little hut. Hospitality was phenomenal, ivy is an interesting and very kind person. Very worth the long drive !

    Angelia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • the mud hut was more than a dream.. it was such an amazing experience and perfect stay for me and my boyfriends first time in oregon!! the views were an extra plus!!! before arriving i was very clueless on how to start a fire so if you’re new to that as well, ivy is more than willing to complete your coziness with a tutorial on how to start and keep a fire going all night. truly, i am sad to leave but i know a piece of me has stayed there forever!! thank you so much for this beautiful stay, and we hope to stay with you in the future!!

    Alyzabeth2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This places is wonderful!!! The bathroom is not right in the hut but close. You do have to step outside to get to it but it was totally fine. The hut is so sweet, romantic, intimate and along with the hot tub we had such a relaxing stay here. The candle lights are beautiful and all the personal touches in the hut are just so incredible. 10/10 would stay again.

    Samantha2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Magical. This is more than a place to stay, it's an experience. Ivy was a great host. The place warmed up very quickly with the little wood stove. The bed is not sprung, which I really like. Good veiw of the bridge from the hot tub. The sound of the trains going by adds a lovely ambience to a special experience.

    Alistair2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The space is amazing! I wasn’t expecting to feel so relaxed at an Airbnb! I will definitely be back and thanks for the travel tips Ivy.

Sandy's first and only Tiny House! Although this home is located just a mile from Hwy 26 within Sandy's city limits, it's located on a private 23 acres, so you'll feel completely secluded. This makes it the perfect place to stay while visiting the Mt. Hood area. The tiny house was built to capture the amazing view of Mt. Hood. The home was designed around a moving window wall system that completely opens to the outdoors allowing for one of the best views of Mt. Hood. We hope you enjoy!!!
This is the first and only Tiny house in the Sandy area! A unique cabin feel made with natural cedar siding, reclaimed hardwood floors and doors, live edge counters, and beautiful craftsman handiwork throughout. There is no place like it!!
This beautiful tiny house is located in Sandy city limits with restaurants and stores nearby, but on a remote 23 acres. 30 minutes from Mt. Hood and skiing. 10 minutes from world class hiking/mountain biking. Also only 40 minutes to downtown Portland and PDX airport. The perfect in between location for outdoorsy adventure and city glam! We live just a mile off highway 26 but at the end of a short private road out on a bluff. It is very remote and extremely quite!!!
  • What a find! This tiny house was the perfect, peaceful, scenic, stylish weekend escape. Stunning Mt Hood view. Great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • The tiny house is a wonderful place to stay. It’s not too far from Portland as well and it has a beautiful view!

  • If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. This is the perfect house for a couple looking to getaway for a few days. Kim is a wonderful hostess. She gave us great info on local restaurants and things to do. She was always timely in communication and made check-in/out extremely easy. The house itself was spotless and beautiful inside. The view is breathtaking of course, and the fireplace completes the cabin vibe. I really hope we make it back here sometime in the future.

FEATURED IN DWELL and SCHOOLHOUSE ELECTRIC. A gorgeous farm-setting just 15-minutes from downtown Portland; located on stunning Sauvie Island - a large river island and wildlife refuge - we are an organically-minded small farm and creative space. We love all the wild flora and fauna, and take great joy in wild spaces. A biking, birding, and aesthetic retreat from everyday life, we hope that each guest leaves feeling relaxed and inspired. The guest suite is modern, bright, and comfortable.
We have a gorgeous 300 square-foot guest suite (adjacent to our main house where we live) called "Tu Casa". It is located on our 7-acre+ farm on Sauvie Island - 10 miles from Downtown Portland, Oregon. Tu Casa is modern and bright and private, bursting with clean lines, lots of natural light, and a serene setting. You will have your own private bathroom, queen bed, small kitchenette for making cups of tea/coffee and light food prep, and lounge area with table workstation. There is also a covered patio with table and chairs just outside your french doors for your use alone. You can expect gorgeous views from every window and space on the property: an unreal view of St. Helens and the whole Cascade Range on a clear day and the surrounding orchards, vineyards, migrating birds, and farm animals everyday (we operate a sheep and alpaca fiber farm and both herds are right outside your windows). The sheep are known to linger right outside Tu Casa, making for a wonderfully sweet experience. Please do keep in mind that we have a hound dog and two full-of-joy toddlers, so some noise is common off and on between 8am-7pm, especially. There is also a rooster you can hear in the distance in the early mornings. If you are seeking true silence, our space is likely not a great fit.
In July and August, we have our upick blueberry season. You can pick to your heart's delight. We also usually have a load of farm fresh veggies and fruit for sale from our farm stand (onsite) from June 15-October 1. There is also a fabulous (packed on the weekends) sandy river beach about 15 minutes drive on island. So amazing. In Fall, three farms on the island have pumpkins, apple cider, and other Fall related stuff. Winter brings migratory birds, rain, and a real hunkering down feeling. Fog, fog horns, and the farmers sleeping in make it our second favorite season here. Whiskey by the fire and books. Spring is abound with bird watching, planting, and gorgeous sunrises. Biking happens year round.

If you are looking for a comfortable, simple, smoke-free and toxic-free environment then our rustic cottage is for you. Our 7 acre organic homestead is located off a quiet road just two miles from downtown Cottage Grove and 22 miles from Eugene.
Currently, we have a king-size organic cotton bed and a single organic cotton mattress in the loft and a full-size futon downstairs for sleeping. Or, if you would prefer, you are also welcome to set up a tent outside the cottage if extra space is needed. There is a kitchen, with a stove, oven, fridge and basic cooking utensils. We have wifi internet available. The bathroom has hot water, a shower, and a composting toilet. You can find more information on our composting toilet in the Humanure Handbook. We are excited to make our cottage available to folks on route or looking for a short visit in need of a simple, affordable and healthy space.
There are beautiful, scenic rides on the bike path along Row River that pass many swimming holes. In the summer, abundant blackberries are available for picking all along the bike path and there are plenty of apples in the fall. We have a couple of bikes available for guests to use.
  • What an awesome little cottage! My partner and I stayed for two night with our dog and had a great time interacting with the animals on the property and enjoying some peace and quiet. The loft combined with the nice heating system made for a very cozy experience.

  • The perfect week. Our host(s) were so generous with their time and hospitality. The town of Cottage Grove complimented the AirBnB experience beautifully with quite a few great restaurants and stores. It is the perfect getaway for someone looking for a healing and meditative experience. Would most definitely visit again!

  • This is the sweetest farm cottage. If you are looking for quiet and unpretentious simplicity, this is it! It was perfect in every way for my solo creative retreat.

  • A rustic experience that helps you appreciate sustainable practices and the simple life. The guesthouse is clean and functional and has a nice ambiance.

    Anne-Lise2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The most rustic, private, serene, quiet place to unwind and spend some relaxing time alone to rest from the hustle of life as a busy mom of a large family. WIFI was strong but a few times my cell tower bars disappeared and I didn’t have connection but overall it was perfect. The heater is warm & cozy upstairs, so I hung out there most of the time. Compost toilet is actually a pretty incredible idea and I enjoyed the overall rustic feel of the cabin. I didn’t realize there was no freezer or microwave but the host offered a cooler which was perfect to leave outside at night. I will be back!

    Sherah2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot surrounded by trees, on a small sustainable farm. My partner and I felt very welcome and enjoyed exploring the downtown. A great place for a short getaway!

    Nicole2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and great hosts! Very cozy cottage.

    Andrea2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Katja was a singular hostess. The accommodations were perfect for us. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and has everything we needed to cook for ourselves during our stay. We so enjoyed a few days of peace and quiet! The farm is wonderful, especially if you have an interest or appreciation for organic and sustainable farming. The creek right outside adds serenity. The location was easy to find, secluded, but near town. We enjoyed several of the books and puzzles on hand. Look forward to staying again.

An airy and inspiring space with a simplistic vibe. Located just outside of the Old Farm District on the quieter side of Bend. A quaint, scenic trail is walking-distance from the house. Downtown Bend and the Old Mill shops are minutes away. Entrance is private with convenient key-code access.
Our space is ideal for adventurers, business travelers, couples and small families. A full-size living room with plenty of seating options, finished concrete floors for maximum cleanliness, and a kitchenette stocked with the essentials. Retreat through a sliding barn door to a private bedroom with a queen-size bed. The couch pulls out to a comfortable queen-size bed for additional sleeping. There is a work desk and free wifi, as well as access to an amazon fire stick for TV. Enjoy the best of what Bend has to offer, local-style. There is something to do for everyone here, all year around! Hikers and runners can access the Deschutes River Trail just 2.5 miles away from the house. If you’re feeling adventurous, enjoy views of the deep river canyons just thirty minutes north, to Smith Rock State Park. Mountain bikers can access the popular Phil’s Trail, 12 miles westward. When visiting during the winter, grab your skiis/snowboard and head thirty minutes west to Mount Bachelor. If you’re jonesing for a beer afterward, head to one of the many local breweries that Bend has to offer. Our favorites include Crux Fermentation Project, Deschutes Brewery, Worthy Brewing and 10 Barrel Brewing Co. Coffee connoisseurs can rest assured, knowing there are plenty of local coffee shops including Backporch Coffee Roasters, Lone Pine Coffee and Spoken Moto. If you’re lucky, you might find yourself visiting when your favorite band is playing at the Les Schwab Amphitheater! Just a mile away from the house is a cinder butte with sage and juniper trails leading to Pilot Butte State Scenic Viewpoint. Downtown Bend and the Old Mill District are popular locations to get your shopping fix in, as well. If you’re feeling like a homebody, curl up on the couch and watch a movie with a fresh cup of French Press coffee. Again, there is something to do for everyone, all year around.
We are nestled in a residential neighborhood on the Southeast side of Bend, surrounded by many of central Oregon's native pine and juniper trees. The house is walking distance to several nearby trails and parks. Our neighbors are quiet and respectful, and the popular Pilot Butte is viewable from the front window!

  • Wonderful place and 6 minute drive to the action in bend and 25 minute drive to the ski resort. Even though there's a lot to do in bend the apartment is very comfortable to kick back and relax. For those not afraid to cook while on vacation the apartment has a small but capable set of utensils to make just about anything.

    Javier2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

Serenity, privacy, and convenience in the exclusive Eugene South Hills. Nestled in the treetops yet minutes to the U of Oregon/downtown/I-5, this 3 level 900+ sq ft dedicated guest suite has a private entrance, walls of windows, a woodburning fireplace, an outdoor hot tub, a king size bed, wi-fi, cable/Netflix, self check-in/check-out, keyless entry, new ductless HVAC, and a masseuse available. This is the #1 Airbnb in Eugene (per Google) used for honeymoons, getaways, and a music video.
The 900+ square foot guest suite is a split level converted library on the bottom floor of the main house with a bedroom/living area below and a dining/bathroom/kitchenette area above. It offers a separate private entrance, amazing views of the valley from tree top views from the deck, a comfortable couch and a king size bed. Deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife wander by in the 1/2 acre wooded backyard which you are welcomed to walk through. Take a nap in the hammock as you listen to the birds chirp around you. Relax in the outdoor hot tub as you gaze at the city lights at night or enjoy the romantic twinkling deck lights (and thanks to a new water resistant cantilever umbrella that covers the hottub, you can sit in it even when it's raining). Chat with Alexa and let her play some tunes, set your alarm, give you the weather forecast or the news, or recommend restaurants in the area. Or get cozy in front of the wood burning fireplace and LED candles as you binge watch HBO on Demand/Netflix on the HD TV. There's even a PS3 with some games and blue ray movies for ya. Some even use the air mattresses to sleep outside on the deck under the stars (and the twinkly balcony lights). Either way, many find themselves staying in simply to relax and enjoy the place. This suite is only used for guests so you won't feel like you are living in someone else's space or intruding on someone else's privacy. Plus with the new ductless HVAC you can set the temperature you want in the place. The house (and suite) is located on a quite cul de sac so parking/traffic is never a problem and the street is large enough for moving trucks. You can also use two comfortable queen size air mattress to add more beds to the place. And while the kitchen does not have a full oven or stove top, it does have a new gas grille, portable gas burner, microwave oven, small electric grill, and keurig coffee/tea maker. Plus the hot tub is on year around with a canopy umbrella that covers if if needed so that you can use it even when it rains. Also, be aware that the place is generally not available for pets as some folks in our family are allergic to pet dander. If you have a pet during your stay, the cleaning fee will be $100 due to the extensive cleaning required. And please keep all pets off furniture as that is hardest to clean. We've had wonderful guests leave us some nice comments. Here are just a few: - "This was my second time staying here and it will continue to be my go-to Airbnb any time I’m in Eugene." - "This place is so much more than any pictures could explain. We felt so safe, secure, and at one with nature. Thank you so much for letting us into your life." - "This place is the best AirBnB I have ever stayed at. Exceeded expectations and the hosts went above and beyond to make this place an amazing experience. I can’t recommend this place enough!" - "We were absolutely blown away by their place! Never have we had an experience like this one, being surrounded by the law books, novels, and not to mention the area itself ..." - "Wow, what a gorgeous spot in Eugene ... This has to be the best Airbnb in Eugene." - "If I could give Joseph and his place 10 stars, I would! This place is AMAZING!!" - "Our family came into Eugene and all had separate Airbnb spaces. We had the best and everyone hung out with us." - "Staying here was the icing on the cake for our Oregon trip! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was definitely a highlight of the trip." - "This was a perfect airbnb, and by far my favorite." - "I was tremendously pleased at how unique and fun this was, especially for the price. Beats the heck out of a hotel." - "All I can say is: do not pass up the chance to stay at this place. Every minute of our stay was just wonderful. " - "Joseph’s place was incredible. Period. If you can stay here, do it." We've been fortunate to host kind and appreciative guests and would be happy to welcome you as well. Pricing is based on Airbnb's automated smartpricing which determines a low price based on demand, etc. for similar rentals in Eugene. So the earlier you book, the better your price (usually). Of course, discounts for longer bookings are available. Plus, as an Airbnb user myself, I don't believe you should pay for extra people when the same space is used and will try to accommodate late check-outs or early check-ins without charge when possible but please let us know in advance so we can coordinate with other guests and housekeeping.
This is one of the most respected and exclusive neighborhoods in Eugene. Everyone is very friendly and you will absolutely get the serenity, privacy, and rest you are looking for so allow you to enjoy and make the most of your time in this wonderful small city.
  • Fun place to stay - amazing view, hot tub, and cozy.

  • This place is exactly what we were going for - very funky home with such great touches. We were traveling from the east coast and were looking for an authentic, cozy, clean get away. We love this place and the views at night from the hot tub are awesome! Great neighborhood - excellent for fresh morning walks! Joseph and Radmila were great hosts and VERY quick to respond! Highly recommend!

    Hayley2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph and Radmilas place was amazing, and they were great hosts. We loved feeling comfortable and like we were at home. Their house was so beautiful, and their backyard was full of all wildlife. We enjoyed being there so much, 10/10 recommend!

  • Lovely private space! Feels like you are in the forest. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the back patio!

    Caroline2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to escape from every day life. Stayed overnight for our first baby free night. Amazing spot, perfectly tucked away on a hill top within the trees - far enough from the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to adventure. Great amenities, comfortable bed and couch. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, especially at night in the crisp air, the city lights shining in the distance - the lights wrapping around the porch is a great touch. Intend to return very soon!

Lovely 2 br. cottage nestled beside a pond w water feature. Kitchen, open sleeping loft with skylights, bath w shower and washer/dryer. Lots of natural light. Can accommodate an entire family comfortably. Private entry on lg. lot through gated backyard.
Nestled in the back corner of a large lot under the canopy of a beautiful mimosa tree, this private cottage offers a full kitchen with sit-up bar, a full bath with a washer/dryer, and a sleeping loft with crow's nest. It's perfect for a couple, two couples, or a small family.

  • I had a great stay at Christophers. I loved that we had somewhere to park the car as with previous visits to Portland, not having a spot can be time consuming and troublesome. The place was great for what we needed, which was a safe and cozy place to come back to and that allowed our dog along as well. We brought her own bed and she had no troubles. Would stay again!

  • This is a small but squeaky clean apartment conveniently located near multiple transportation options in a quiet neighborhood on Portland's northwest side. The unit is very functional with all the essentials, comfortable bed under a sky light, kitchen, spacious bath and a remotely controlled heating unit. The apartment is in a leafy residential area but close to cafes, bars and restaurants; there's even a walk-in clinic in nearby. Needless to say we enjoyed our stay.

A quiet, cozy bedroom & a bathroom on the ground floor of a beautiful, modern new home in a verdant, friendly Southeast Portland neighborhood. Enthusiastic greeting by very friendly dogs & cat comes standard!
As a courtesy to our guests, our check-in time is 2:00 pm; however, as we both work weekdays, we cannot have the rooms ready until 5:30 or so. What this means is that our guests are welcome to make themselves at home in their living room or just drop their bags off and head out exploring, but they won't be able to rest their weary heads or hit the showers until we've had a chance to get home and tidy up. There is an entire floor available in our newish home smack-dab in the heart of fun, accessible Southeast Portland! This means that our guest(s) get not only their own quiet bedrooms, but also a private full bathroom AND their own nicely-appointed living room (please note: the first-floor living room is NOT private, as it does not have a ceiling and is the way between the front door of the house and the stairs to the second floor). We are steps away from a frequent-service bus line, a terrific ramen shop, a pizza joint, two coffee shops, and, best of all, a Trader Joe's! The house is about two miles south of the trendy Hawthorne district, one mile south of nationally-recognized Division Street, and about four miles east of downtown Portland. The house itself is a beautiful, soaring Doug Fir- and hemlock-constructed dream home decorated with one-of-kind glass art pieces and potted succulents. Our guests have access to our fabulous kitchen in addition to their own first-floor amenities. We have a very friendly housecat you will likely meet during your stay, but the guest bedroom and guest bathroom doors are kept closed for the comfort of allergen-sensitive guests. We also have two friendly dogs who will greet you eagerly upon your arrival, but who otherwise spend their time hanging out with us and don't wander much to the guest floor. Lastly, to our guests during the colder months: the guest floor tends to be the coolest in the house, and we provide space heaters and afghans for your comfort, but we figure we should let you know ahead of time that if you run cold, ours may not be the ideal place for your stay.
Our neighborhood is so great! We are really close to several cool Portland hubs, but we're on a relatively quiet residential street so we truly have the best of all worlds.

A mid-century A-frame cabin with panoramic ocean views, perched on a hillside just 2 blocks above Oceanside Village and the beach. A quintessential Oregon get-away....quasi-rustic with all the right creature comforts.
The A-frame is a duplex, Unit A is the upper of two private 2 bed/1 bath units. It has a large private deck with amazing ocean views unobstructed from Cape Meares to Cape Lookout, and a wood burning stove for chilly nights. Under the rafters of the A-frame, you can enjoy amazing ocean views from most areas of the unit, including the upper loft bedroom. This cozy unit has the feel of a surf shack, or the quirky summer beach cabin from your childhood with all the lovely creature comforts - wifi, your own music streaming, good coffee, fluffy bathrobes and down comforters.
2 blocks from the A-frame, Oceanside Village features 2 good restaurants & a coffee shop, plus post office and fire station, that's about the extents of sleepy Oceanside and why it makes a great getaway! Nearby Cape Meares, Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda state parks offer hiking and nature exploration, or try your hand at crabbing or clam digging in nearby Netarts or Tillamook Bay. For the adventurous set, there is decent surfing, or even a parasailing launch site just up the hill. Or just curl and and read (or write) a book while taking in the view.
  • The living space and upper bedroom were amazingly adorable, and the view was simply beautiful. I would come again 🥰

    Margaret2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Emily is the perfect host! We’ve stayed in both Unit A and B- both have really great (but a little different) positives! Unit A not quite as updated, but very comfy and view from deck on either can’t be beat! Will be back for sure- thank you, Emily, for being the perfect host!

    Concetta2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing time at the A frame! it's so beautiful, just the most perfect space to get away from the city for a full moon at the beach!

    Nicole2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The view from the unit is amazing. Catch the sunset!! And we also grilled some shrimp and fish outside on the deck. Amazing trip!

  • This was the perfect stay for a quick get away from Portland. The town is quaint but has just what you need for a weekend away. The A frame has unparalleled views from inside the house and the deck. It was extra special to be able to sleep in the loft with the crashing waves and have the first thing you see in the morning be the expanse of the ocean

The cabin is comfortably suited for 2-4 people with bed space for as many people. Very quaint and homey log cabin in the woods. Come and enjoy the fluffy piles of snow in the winter and warm sun and water in the summer! Fun all year round! Filled with a full kitchenette and laundry services this space is a home away from home for up to 4 guests. Full wifi, HD cable services, and Netflix on site. Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning. Outdoor Fire-Pit and patio/picnic area Close to many of Central Oregon's attractions and beautiful landscapes. Convenient and easy drive to Bend, Sunriver, and Mt. Bachelor. We allow you to bring your furry dogs with you on your journey though with a few stipulations. First is that you either bring a crate or take them with you and not be left free to wander while you are gone. Second that our cleaner charges an additional cleaning fee of $25 for the added time and tools/products to clean couches, carpets, floors, and blankets (this will be collected after or during your stay) :) other than that just get ready to have fun in Bend! Please note for your convenience the second bed available to our guest is a pullout from one of the leather sofas with a very comfortable brand new memory foam mattress:)
Quaint and friendly neighbor hood in Deschutes River Woods conveniently located for all of Central Oregon's activities :) PLEASE NOTE*** there is a short section of gravel road that can get potholes in the summer on the way to the property so please ask for alternate routes if you have a vehicle with low ground clearance. In addition, it can get very snowy in the winter out in Bend and traction tires or chains are strongly recommended. We do keep the driveway and road usually well cut down of deep powder as much as we can but it can still get built up overnight. If you are concerned about getting into our location feel free to inquire about the current road conditions :)
  • Clean, cozy, and spacious with a washer and dryer, a great fire pit and private hot tub. There were issues with the hot tub needing maintenance but Austin was great about communicating and fixing it ASAP, and luckily we stayed long enough to enjoy it after it was fixed. There's a small TV in the living room, and the Blu-ray player has Netflix, YouTube and Prime video if you go to "Network Services" in the menu. The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking tools you might need. The shower was our only issue. It's very small with no shelving to put your soap on and the way it's built makes it so the shower head is pointing horizontally rather than down over your body, even in it's lowest angle. At best it was kind of just spraying the upper part of the door and directly at my face, so it takes forever to rinse off your body. It's a quick, cheap fix to just get a different shower head attachment, plus a cheap little caddy with suction cups to hold your soaps. This would actually be a big improvement for having comfortable, relaxing showers, so hopefully we get to come back in the future and see that improved! I would still recommend this stay, as long as your expectations are managed. It's not really in the woods; it's in a residential neighborhood with houses all around, so it's not very secluded or private, but the front yard is nicely wooded and a great space to hang out.

  • I had a great quick stay at Austin’s cabin. The place is bigger than what I expected and I really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen is! Also, I really enjoyed how comfortable the bed was- neighborhood is very quite too, mostly residential, and we saw beautiful stars and a huge family of dear. We didn’t get to use the hut tub outside- hope to be back one day for that and more explorations of the area. Austin was super quick to respond and extremely kind, check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Had a little trouble with cellphone coverage so I took the opportunity to unplug:) I certainly recommend Austin’s cabin!

    Irene2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was cute, cozy, just outside of town but still close. I loved the skylights in the bedroom to see the stars at night

    Natasha2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • So cozy! Absolutely loved this little log cabin.

    Robyn2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Super!!!

    Olivia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to get away and still be only a quick drive from downtown Bend and Mt. Bachelor. Austin was very easy to communicate with and everything was as we expected or even better. Would definitely stay here again when coming to that area.

    Austin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin in a good location fairly close to downtown Bend. The home we really clean, everything was just what we had hoped for. There was a hot tub. Kitchen had everything for preparing a meal with the food items we brought or picked up at the local store. Bed was comfy. Washer and dryer available in the unit. Austin we super responsive at all times, before, during and after.

    Jan2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Omg! So cute and cozy. It was perfect. Well decorated. Lots of seating. I was able to cook all my meals there. He was very accommodating to a few changes I requested. I’ll def. stay again.

  • Mary’s barn was amazing. The upper loft was clean and really comfortable. The area was updated and had a clean look with really nice decor. All amenities worked perfectly. Driving up to this home is beautiful as you come through a gorgeous path of trees. I would love to stay again if I’m in the area!

  • Immaculately clean, great directions on how to get there, peaceful and quiet ...... great location.

    Robert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is a very accommodating host. Located in the woods, her bnb has an open and quiet feel. We enjoyed the high ceiling and wall-to-wall windows.

    Mary2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a little gem of a sanctuary. Off the beaten path just outside of Brookings for a more private setting with outstanding views, sunrises, deer, and the occasional barn kitty. The space itself is full of light, ease and comfort. We will definitely be recommending it to friends and family and will ourselves be back to nest and explore more of the huge coast line and beyond. Mary was thoroughly responsive and easily available if we needed. Overall it was a fantastic way to enjoy Southern Oregon and feel right at home in her cozy accommodations.

    Holly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous space! It was clean, really unique and had such a beautiful view of the mountains and stars. This will definitely be my go-to when coming back to Brookings!

  • Overall amazing experience. Great location! Relaxing and unique place to stay. Highly recommend James & Joelle as hosts.

    Stephanie2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of my favorite Air BnBs ever. Joelle and James created such a comfy space in their home for me and their location was fantastic, nestled in between two of the most happening hoods in Portland. I highly recommend this place to anybody!

    Julia2018-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t wait to visit again! The cottage was very cozy and clean! The house Joelle and James own is BEAUTIFUL! you will feel comfortable during your stay! They respect your privacy and are there if you need anything.

    Lauren2018-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The urban garden suite is as charming as the photos! The location is a quick bus ride from downtown and in a quirky and hip neighbourhood. Joelle and James were very accommodating to our late arrival and were excellent hosts. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Portland!

    Andrea2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Joelle and James are exceptional hosts. The garden cottage is charming and beautifully laid out. The bed is super comfy, lovely sheets and towels. The home is on a quiet street with a tranquil garden. We enjoyed coffee outside and Joelle’s baked treats. In the midst of a busy family weekend, this cottage was a quiet refuge.

    Julie2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing retreat in the home. You are staying in a quiet comfortable space, with the flowers surrounding you and the neighbors water feature lulling you to sleep. The location was safe, and close to many great restaurants and cafes. It is important to understand you are sharing common areas with the owners including the kitchen. I did not cook when I was there but was able to use the refrigerator. The bathroom is private but is in the house.

    Diane2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, unique studio space and home, warm hosts who offer information and recommendations about the surrounding area; thoughtful touches like homemade treats and handwritten notes; a neighborhood walkable to fantastic restaurants, cafes, ice cream, and shopping; couldn’t ask for more! Would highly recommend!

A mid-century hideaway with panoramic ocean views, perched on a hillside just 2 blocks above the beach and quaint Oceanside Village. A quintessential Oregon get-away....quasi-rustic with all the right creature comforts. The Hideaway is Emily's new listing - just a few steps down from Oceanside A-frame, Unit A.
The Hideaway is tucked into the hillside, so you must be able to navigate stairs to access it. The layout is great for couples or folks that like to be cozy together :) We've just finished updates to the kitchen and bathroom, but there is plenty of original mid-century charm as well. The Hideaway has all the creature comforts - fluffy bathrobes, down comforter, good coffee and your own music streaming.
  • Exactly as described. Amazing view, cozy, and clean. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

    Nick2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy place to stay with great views of the ocean and the stars at night. Very close walk to the beach. Just what we needed.

    Zachary2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place is wonderful. Perfect space for relaxing and enjoying the coast. Our family will forever have a lasting memory. We hope to come back again.

    Erin2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I regret that we only got to stay one night in this charming cottage. It’s clean and simple with a modern nautical and regional decor and a spectacular view of the ocean. It’s tucked away enough from the small commercial area so it was very quiet, yet it was such a short walk down to the beautiful beach. One night wasn’t enough to fully appreciate the relaxing cottage, the beach, and the ‘things to do’ recommended by Emily. We definitely want to come back again!

    Meg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cute and cozy A Frame is the perfect Oregon coast get away. A short walk from the beach. Amazing views. And the unit is stocked with everything you need. Loved it!

    Amy2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Emily's home is cozy with a beyond spectacular view. We loved the games, making a fire, the super comfortable bed, and having all the amenities we needed for a winter weekend on the coast. Very highly recommend!

    Cata2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The (A)frame was (A)mazing. Having access to the tunnel beach was a dream come true. Will be back.

    Megan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy home with spectacular views! We loved it so much we booked the upstairs unit the following weekend with a larger group. We look forward to making this place our go-to stay in Oceanside!

Spectacularly secluded high desert hill top cabin with Cascade Mountain views, unreal sunsets, and a cozy atmosphere on private land surrounded by BLM. This rustic, romantic, off-grid cabin is a great place to UNPLUG, hike, read, ride, stargaze, and rest. THIS is your destination! We're 35 minutes East of Bend, minutes from Pine Mountain Observatory, central to hundreds of miles of sparsely used motorcycle and ATV trails, and hiking as far as your legs can take you. Pets are welcome!
Comfy Queen bed and a fold-out couch/futon. 3-step stair access, no ramp. Kitchen has bar, fridge, gas stove, running hot & cold water*. Bathroom has a claw-foot tub with awesome view. Composting toilet, and hand-washing sink. The cabin is completely off-grid and solar powered. LED lights, power outlets, and fridge run on the sun!
There is no one else within 3 miles. Our neighbors include rabbits, coyotes, tons of lizards, a plethora of birds, and ground squirrels. There are no snakes to worry about. This is high desert Oregon. Sagebrush, rabbit brush, Juniper forest, canyons, rocky outcrops, sand, and lava rock, and sweeping views of the Cascades Volcanoes as well as Smith Rock, the Ochocos, and the Badlands Wilderness.
  • This cabin was the perfect place to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday! We greatly enjoyed all the thoughtful touches: blueberry loaf, farm fresh eggs, coffee, etc. Tim was very friendly and checked in with us daily to give us weather updates and see if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend Sun Dog Cabin to anyone looking to slow down and enjoy life in the outdoors!

    Alex2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a weekend away, and Tim & Paula's cabin delivered beyond our expectations. The setting is gorgeous--we lucked out with some Cascade views, but even on cloudy days, the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The cabin itself is perfect, as it's clean, tasteful, and decked out with everything you could need without being cluttered. Tim & Paula were very communicative hosts. The directions were great to begin with, but Tim took care to check us in and let us know helpful tips for our stay. My only regrets are (1) we didn't play with their happy pups as much as we could have, and (2) I didn't ask for Paula's divine blueberry loaf recipe. We will be back.

    Meagan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin and superb host! Paula made the best blueberry loaf and can’t beat the farm fresh eggs. Our dogs loved the surroundings and we loveeeeed Hugo, Hoss and Stella. We’ll definitely come back! Thanks again Tim and Paula!

    Joie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely phenomenal. The property was breath taking and getting to the cabin was a lovely adventure. Tim was an awesome host, he went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. He made our stay as simple as possible, and made himself available in case we needed anything else during our stay. I highly recommend booking this location, I will definitely be coming back. P.S. Tim’s wife is an outstanding baker, my boyfriend can’t stop talking about her blueberry loaf

    Jessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is wonderful! Quite and secluded but still has everything you need. Tim was responsive and so hospitable. We definitely want to come back!

    Kerri2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s cabin is seriously one of the most relaxing and beautiful Airbnbs I have ever stayed at! We decided to book it last minute because we wanted to go on an adventure and stay somewhere scenic and relaxing. This definitely fit the bill! There was no running water due to freezing temps, but Tim made us aware of this prior and it honestly added to the uniqueness of our stay! We used a map to find it, built our own fire and felt so alive as we were able to disconnect from technology for a bit. The homemade touches and blueberry loaf made it all the more enjoyable! The bed is super comfy and the sheets are clean and smooth. I am a bit of a clean freak and this space felt exceptionally clean and comfortable. We went to bed with stars in the sky and woke up to snow fall! I will definitely be back as I would like to stay more than just one night! Don’t look further folks- this is just what you need, you just don’t know it yet!

    Kate2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gracious host and a cabin that was warmer and more beautiful than we expected. We love the high desert and this exceeded our hopes for a relaxing weekend away.

    David2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for something isolated but don’t want to sacrifice comfort I would recommend the SunDog Cabin. Tim is an excellent host with a beautiful piece of land and a couple of sweet dogs happy to say hello. Bend is a quick twenty minutes away so there are certainly things to do if you’re not interested in the gorgeous trails and easy hikes around the cabin. There is a small kitchen with all the essentials needed for easy cooking and the bathroom is spacious. If you decide to choose the SunDog cabin, you won’t be disappointed.

Our private detached garden studio sits in the heart of a quiet residential neighborhood and is a short stroll to top restaurants, food carts, and shopping in trendy Southeast Portland. The space is compact -- about 240sf! -- but cozy, bright and a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Portland!
Our newly-renovated, cozy studio includes a new queen bed, vaulted ceilings, full bathroom, kitchenette, and small sitting area. It's fully detached from the main house, so offers complete privacy. Skylights, french doors, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide views of the west hills and flood the room with natural light, even on the grayest of drizzly Portland days. It's small --about 240sf-- but the space is well utilized with many amenities such as wireless Bluetooth speaker, Portland maps and guides, and comfy pillows and blankets to make it feel like home. It's best suited for guests seeking space to relax and recharge after a day of exploring Portland; If you're needing more of a "hangout spot" this may not be the best choice. The studio has a full bathroom with shower (no tub). The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, sink, instant hot water, coffee maker, microwave and everything you need for reheating leftovers from the many restaurants and food carts nearby. Complementary tea and coffee are provided along with a long list of our favorite local restaurants.
We love living in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood! Nestled on a quiet, residential street, we're a short stroll (about 1/3mi) to two main restaurant and retail districts of SE Portland--Division Street and Hawthorne Blvd. A 4-block walk brings you to a bus stop that can get you most anywhere else in town. Our location is best for guests wanting to experience Portland from a local's perspective; If you'd rather be in closer proximity to downtown touristy areas, we may not be the best option. A short walk from the studio brings you to food, shopping and entertainment (to name a few of our favorites): PokPok, Salt & Straw, Ava Gene's, Bollywood Theater, Blue Star Donuts, Food Cart pods, Little T Bakery, St Honore, as well as a myriad of boutiques, shops and independent movie theaters on Hawthorne, Clinton and Division streets. You'll likely meet some friendly neighborhood cats during your stay, but due to severe allergies, our studio is animal- and allergen-free. You may also spot our eyepatch-wearing, kung fu-performing neighbor (and good friend) practicing in the street, sometimes alongside his 5yo daughter and toddler son. He’s a world-renowned martial artist and teacher, is super friendly and adds some true Portland character to our otherwise sleepy neighborhood!
  • We loved our stay! Such a great neighbourhood and the cutest space! 100% would stay again

    Kat2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This space was so cozy -- the floor to ceiling and skylight windows truly make it feel like you're in the garden. The natural light, bright linens, and beautiful plants make this a little sanctuary in the city. Walkable to fantastic food and coffee and great hospitality!

    Annika2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa’s space was perfect for our Portland getaway. It’s within walking distance to some local restaurants (we ate at ‘off the waffle’ twice! Dont miss out) , shops, and a quick uber ride from anywhere in Portland. Her space was very clean, thoughtful, and just the right size for two people. She checked in w us to see if we needed anything which I have never had a host do. We didnt get to use the outdoor space much- since It was my first visit we were out exploring but when I come back, I know for sure ill utilize it. It’s just an all around quiet, beautiful, and peaceful vibe. You won’t be disappointed

    Charlotte2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! There were so many thoughtful touches that made our experience an amazing one. From the delicious ground coffee to the book full of local restaurant suggestions, Melissa goes above and beyond. The location was perfect. We walked to Division and/or Hawthorne Street daily, admiring the quiet neighbourhood full of unique, colourful homes along the way. If you are looking to stay in Portland, I don’t know why you would stay anywhere else. :)

    Kelsey2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot. Wonderful hospitality. So many cute little comfortable touches and a really great space overall. Melissa was super responsive and really kind, and made the stay that much better. I highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!!

  • A very intimate and peaceful space!

  • Barbara went above and beyond to help us have a great trip to Eugene. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone traveling to Eugene.

  • This cute little house is fully functional with a great kitchen and bath area. I shopped for food an incredible market just a few blocks away. Cooked and enjoyed a feeling of home while traveling on business. I was unaware that the queen bed was a sofa bed. Barbara made it up for me and it was super comfy with an added soft mattress she had especially for visitors like me who like a soft bed. I slept well and was warm and safe. Parking is just outside and safe as well. I appreciated all the special touches and although I’m not a TV watcher usually I did enjoy the Netflix for guests to enjoy. Thank you Barbara and family. I really enjoyed my stay. Andrea

  • Don’t let the exterior fool you, there’s a little cottage in the back that is perfect for a short stay. I’m sure their yard is beautiful in the spring too, as the bulbs are just starting to pop up. we only stayed one night, but we’d stay again!

    Kyla2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I was in town for a conference downtown and needed a simple place to stay for a night. Barbara’s place was perfect! Very clean, in a quiet location that felt safe, and Barbara was helpful and quick with communication. It’s a studio so it’s not very spacious, but there’s a full kitchen if you need and they left a wealth of resources if you have time to explore Eugene. It’s perfect for a safe place to sleep and keep your things if you’re going to be out all day. It’s super close to an amazing bakery called Hideaway Bakery as well.

    Lennie2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place so was quaint and private. I was able to relax and enjoy my time alone working. There was a bathtub and shower which I was not expecting in a little cottage. That was a nice added bonus. Loved that there was silverware and extra items in the cottage. It was a great place to stay with no issues. I would definitely recommend this place.

Our tiny log cabin is a cozy getaway, close to hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing but only 10 miles from all the amenities of Bend Oregon. It is a rustic place, but has some modern touches, like a gas range and refrigerator, and a gas fireplace that provides the heat without the need to stoke a woodstove. The bathroom is detached from the cabin - steps from the front door. It is fully equipped. Our place is perfect for people who love the outdoors with the comforts of home.
Our 500 square foot cabin has a sleeping loft with a queen bed. There is also a single day bed on the main level. The cabin is heated by a gas fireplace and has a full size gas range. Please note : The steps to the sleeping loft are quite steep and the terrain around the cabin is forest. Our place is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. We are located near multiple mountain biking trails and about 2.5 miles from the Tumalo Falls trailhead. Price is slightly higher in winter months because of the cost of snow removal. 4 WD or all wheel drive may be needed to drive all the way to the cabin.
  • Perfectly cozy! The cottage has many places to relax, and we felt comfortably isolated from the city. A quick beautiful trip from the cottage to Bend. Tumalo Falls trailhead is near by! We didn’t want to leave! Susan is a star!

  • Perfect cozy getaway in the woods! We had a great time and everything was as described. Don't let the detached bathroom deter you - this is an absolute gem!!

  • This is the perfect place to escape for a weekend. It has all the amenities and comfort of home, but it's still a rustic cabin and it's not too far away from the city if you forget something. There's everyhing you need for cooking a good meal; including utensils and some spices, and even things like wine and beer glasses, a corkscrew, knives, and baking supplies. The bathroom is newer construction and stocked with everything you might need, such as a hairdryer and bandaids. Will definitely recommend and stay again!

  • Perfect getaway! Special touches, so far away yet close to town.

    Jamie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, the absolute perfect getaway!! We enjoyed a nice hike at Tumalo Falls and played lots of scrabble staying warm by the cozy fire. The cabin is lovely for the winter and I imagine will be just as good in the summer, we will be back for sure! Already looking forward to it.

Our home is beautifully situated across from a quiet park. We are located just a couple blocks walk to restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and bus stops on trendy Hawthorne and Division streets.
Our one bedroom, 500 square-foot basement apartment is lovingly decorated in the Northwest Style with touches of Scandinavia. The apartment has separate entrance for your privacy. The bedroom has a queen bed with cozy, fluffy featherbed comforters. The living room has a sofa that converts to double bed with bedding provided. We also have a queen futon available. We have a little kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee. The bathroom has a bath/shower combo with all the essentials provided. We have a television that picks up a few stations, but we do not have cable. We use Eco cleaning products to keep the apartment clean, without compromising your health. Our location is ideal for foodies who want to walk to popular restaurants on SE Hawthorne and SE Division streets. We are directly across the street from a park. The Hawthorne bus (#14) is just 1.5 blocks away and will get you downtown within 10 minutes. We also are walking distance to grocery stores, movie theaters, shops, breweries and pubs. Our neighborhood is quiet at night, so we ask that there be no noise after 10:00pm. We are an early-to-bed, early-to-rise family (up at 5:00am) so you may hear us above in the morning.

  • Thanks for having us!

  • This place is a steal. It’s in a perfect location sitting just 2 blocks from Hawthorne, where local shops and public transit stops are. Super walkable area. She has a hair dryer in the bathroom as well as a drawer full of travel sized toiletries for you to use. She has even put a first aid kit in the bathroom, which just really shows you how much she has thought about her guests! For out-of-staters reference, we were able to go from the Airport to the Airbnb with ease using public transit!

    Zoey2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great little space in a perfect location close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops and only a stones throw away from downtown. Jennifer is a great host who was quick to respond to any messages and I would definitely stay again!

  • super comfy and cozy little stay! very convenient location with a quiet park across the street.

    Liberty2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s place was clean, quiet (we barely heard anything from upstairs), and close to mass transit and numerous shops and restaurants. Checking in and out was a breeze. The bed was very soft and the convertible sofa was firm, which was a nice contrast. Extra towels, bedding, and supplies were at hand. The only thing to note is the mirror in the bathroom; both my sister and I barely clear 5 feet and so we could not utilize the mirror without a step stool.

    Lidia2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

With just the right amount of space for two, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, King Memory foam Bed, oak floors, handmade furniture, cable tv with HBO, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a king bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • Great place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Amazing allocation and great response from Jason. Definitively recommended.

    Fernando2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice clean studio apartment on a quiet street in Northeast Portland. Downtown is easily accessible by public transport. Uber was only 11 dollars. Whole Foods is a 10 minute walk from here. The amenities in the home were stocked so that cooking a hot breakfast was easy. Again everything was clean and we definitely would stay again.

    Natalie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This stylish, clean space is located in a very walkable and historic neighborhood. It’s close to shops and cafes. Easy parking. I appreciated the easy checkin. The space is very classy with a simple and open design plan. Loved the kitchen and tv space. Only stayed one night but it would be great for a longer stay. I would definitely stay again.

    Heather2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location in a very desirable neighborhood. I do want want to make a comment that I am sure that the host is already aware of. Just be prepared if you are a taller individual you may have some difficulty using the bathroom since the shower is very tiny along with the bathroom itself. Other than that, this was a very comfortable stay. Thank you again.

  • Incredible place! Great location, phenomenal value, and whomever designed it has incredible taste. I hope I’ll get the chance to stay here the next time I’m in town and in the meantime, I’ll recommend friends there during their Portland trips. Don’t hesitate on this place, it is pure magic.

  • Hannah and Jason's place is such a cozy spot in Portland. It's in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood.

  • This place is a must if you are staying in Portland. It is located very close to downtown and quite near public transport. The check in was simple and easy. • This is such a magical place! Kathleen and Richard go above and beyond with all of the little extra touches. My kids and I were super cozy and kept busy with board games and listening to the extensive record collection!

    Jennifer2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is amazing! If you have never spent the night in a yurt then is the place to stay. Kathleen and her husband were great hosts. Super friendly and very informative. The hot tub was perfect. We loved the record collection and played nice music the whole time. Our kids loved the yurt too.

    Freedom2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly kind, helpful, and genuine hosts! Such a fun, quirky, and unique place to stay with a great view and great amenities. Would love to start time and time again! Also really appreciate the value!

  • This was a wonderfully cozy stay! We had 4 people for 2 nights and didn't feel cramped. We enjoyed the hammocks, hot tub, grill, view, extensive record collection and sweet little chickens. Will definitely try to make our way back to this yurt in the future!

  • Great ! Quirky art.

    Helena2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you're going to southern oregon you must stay here!! This enchanting and beautiful yurt totally exceeded our expectations for glamping. My partner and I wanted to plan a weekend getaway without too much actual planning, so this yurt was the only thing we booked. Kathleen and Richard make everything PERFECT so that you don't have to worry about anything. Each detail shines: from the hot tub, to the breakfast, the classic record collection, the cozy linens, to the beautiful decor inside and out! The outdoor grill was also one of our favorite amenities. Everything is sparkling clean. They gave us space to be alone on the property and enjoy each others' company, but it was also nice to know they were just a stone's throw away if we needed anything! Grant's Pass and Applegate are super cute. You can explore the Schmidt winery, or a multitude of others down applegate road, so beautiful! It was positively blissful and the only thing sad about it was leaving! We can't wait to go back <3

The railing on the loft is made out of mild steel, custom welded in place. The height of the ceiling is a whopping 30 feet tall! • Thank you for the great stay!

    Roger2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great space

    Patrick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Artist’s Loft is adorable and exactly what we needed, in a great location to boot! The kitchen area was very well appointed, but we were only in town for a single night so we didn’t utilise it as we would have liked. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was bigger than expected. Overall, the space is understated and minimal in its decor - a good thing for us since we’re definitely not “a thousand pillows on the bed and nicknacks everywhere” people. The vaulted ceiling in the living area made the whole space feel light and roomy. Being walking distance from Alberta Street was a blessing we didn’t know to expect - it’s a great stretch of shops, restaurants, and pubs. Think the Portland version of Magazine Street in New Orleans (not touristy, amazing food, and so much fun!). We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Portland. Thanks!!!

    Aimee2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Would absolutely recommend staying here. Stylish space, incredible location and clean home.

    David2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful. It's a small fully equipped house with a modern style and a hot tub I didn't have a chance to enjoy.

    Thierry2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rob & Sylvia were prompt and professional in their communication. The place was clean and newly built - we particularly liked the hot tub

    Erik Brakstad2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very neat and clean space. Loved seeing the artwork on the walls. Host responded quickly when we requested to use the hot tub and made sure everything was ready for us (even though I chickened out because it was freezing outside). Close ride to downtown and would definitely stay again. Parking spot requires talented parallel parker, or you could just park on the street.

A very clean, comfortable room with a private entrance, private bath, king-sized bed, beautiful view, great natural light, and a private deck overlooking the forest and wetlands with the bay in the distance. Included are a large private bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, WiFi, TV with cable. We’re a small working llama farm only a 4-mile drive from the ocean in a rural setting overlooking a Nature Conservancy.
The private suite is attached to the main house. There are no shared spaces except for the driveway. You have a private entrance, private bath, and private deck. The deck overlooks a beautiful forest and wetlands that are owned by The Nature Conservancy. The light and landscape are perfect for artists who paint. Enjoy nature walks and biking without having to drive, and there are dozens of other trails for hiking and biking within 5 to 30 minutes. There is a popular kayaking area 15 minutes away. The Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Center are 25 minutes to the north, Cape Perpetua is 25 minutes to the south, and the Heceta Head Lighthouse is 40 minutes away. Feed our llamas by hand if you like!
We are located in a beautiful valley on the north side of the Alsea Bay. We are on a gravel road that runs next to the bay. Our nearest neighbors are a quarter of a mile away, but you can't see their homes. The room looks out over a forest and wetlands.
  • Toni and Paul were great hosts! The room was beautiful, bed was comfy, and had everything you could possibly need! The llamas and Mrs. Arrfington were also great company! Great location because it’s quiet and secluded but isn’t far from town so there is always something to do!

    Jaden2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, it sits on five acres that has an amazing view of forest. The lamas are so cool and a herd of elk must live somewhere close because we saw at least one herd twice or two different herds. The host have thought of a lot. The closets place for food is about 5 miles away but that’s ok because host had snacks and quick things that could tide you over if you needed. The place had a private balcony that over looked the back farm and the forest. So you could see the elk from the deck or the lamas. The back of the house over looks part of the lamas pasture. You could also see the back from the gigantic sliding glass door. The bathroom is very large as well, which is nice for getting ready in the morning if there is two of you or more. The WiFi worked great for planning your day in town and they have dish for when you want to unwind after a day of sight seeing.

    Nick2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Always such an amazing stay with Toni and Paul. The room is sparkling clean and it has every amenity that you would possibly need. We had a great time feeding the llamas as well. We will definitely be back to visit!

  • Toni and Paul were such wonderful host. They truly made the airbnb feel like home. We had everything we needed plus more. This was a wonderful getaway and there is a lot to do right outside of Waldport. Plus the ocean was only a few minutes away from our stay. I look forward to, and can't wait to come back! P.S. Make sure to feed the llamas!

    Alyson2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give Toni and Paul a 10 star rating I would! Their place is amazingly comfortable with everything you could possibly want. They are the best Airbnb hosts we have experienced yet so far and we use Airbnb a lot. It’s just a short drive to hiking and the beaches if you can pull yourself away from the adorable animals and the peace and quiet of your room and view. Highly recommended staying here!!

    Sharon2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space cute and cozy. Beautiful views and quiet. Our first 2 days were sunny and nice and our last day was windy and rainy (which I loved the sounds of wind and rain) it is a little off the beaten path of the main road. It well worth the extra few minute drive. You might see a pack of Elk In the fields like we did. Nice shower and separated jacuzzi bathtub very spacious bath area. Cozy bed with tv and a white noise machine if you like. Loved the blue lit faucets and toilets and tidy kitchen area with snacks coffee and tea. I would have loved to have some ice available, but there was cold water and drinks in the mini fridge available. We had a great stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Cute little Tiny House! It used to be our boys' fort when they were young, now it is a comfortable little retreat for adventurers exploring Portland!
Cute little back yard "granny flat" cottage located near Mt Tabor park in very desirable neighborhood! The cottage is "Portland Style" construction with excellent insulation (R30), new windows, etc.. Great host, free internet, parking, furnished living space that is quite private.. The cottage contains an upstairs bedroom & sitting area. Note: There are steep stairs, so please take that into account ~ if you have joint pain, etc. this might not be the best choice of places to stay... The QUEEN size mattress is new and comfortable. Downstairs there is a small kitchen with stove, microwave and under the counter fridge. Also downstairs is a full bath with ceramic tile shower. Coffee maker and freshly ground coffee provided in the cottage as well as complimentary muffins. There are laundromats in SE Portland and sometimes I am home to help facilitate laundry getting done on premesis but I cannot guarantee I'll be there to arrange for that. Guests have use of the back yard with fruit trees and some berries when in season. Also the cottage is within walking distance of Division street shops, Pizzicato pizza, the 52nd & Foster street Food Carts and much more. The # 2 bus is just a block and a half away, which can take passengers west directly downtown. The TRI-MET app or website is easy to use & can help you get you anywhere from the airport, to downtown, to Powells Books, The Chinese Garden, and so on.
South Tabor Neighborhood is a quiet eclectic little neighborhood with many avid gardners, friendly neighbors, and gobs of dog lovers. We have community get-togethers, work parties, and holiday celebrations! If you are used to neighborhoods where no one knows each other or even speaks to each other this is definitely NOT the neighborhood for you :-D
  • Fantastic location and very cute and charming

Enjoy our private guest suite - aka the entire first floor of our beautiful West Eugene home! Separate entrance with key-code allows you to come and go as you please. Nice neighbors. Close to parks, running/bike trails, shops & restaurants. 10 minute drive (~3 miles) to downtown. 10 minute drive to UO. Off-street parking available. Includes new Queen size bed, private bath, gas fireplace, ample closet space, breakfast nook, coffee maker, fridge, toaster oven, laundry & WiFi.
We love our house in the trees and we think you will too! It is close enough to downtown (10 minute drive) to be able to easily access anything and everything Eugene has to offer - but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give you that peaceful, woodsy treehouse feel. All areas in the private guest suite (kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, laundry room) are yours and yours alone for the duration of your stay...full privacy!
Cozy, quiet neighborhood in West Eugene. Our house, though located next to a few others, is nestled up in the trees to give it a wonderfully peaceful, cabin-y feel.
  • Katherine and Ben have a beautiful home nestled literally in the trees with a wonderful bridge over a rippling little brook.... It was quiet, cozy and inviting. It was perfect for our get-a-way weekend for our wedding anniversary! I usually have troubles with my back when staying away from home but the bed was very comfortable and the electric fireplace the perfect touch. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

    Stephe2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Just WOW, we really liked it, loved the Bridge from the carport to the porch, cute little stream below. The Hosts are fantastic as well, very clean and timely responses to our questions. Highly recommend.

  • A beautiful guest suite in a gorgeous location! Katherine and Ben thought of everything and the space was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend staying with them when in Eugene!

    Lauren2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine and Ben’s place was excellent. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed for our overnight trip to Eugene. The bed was very comfortable and the treehouse vibe was a whimsical treat. It was within close driving distance to everything we did! I recommend it and would stay here again.

    Tyler2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • very nice place - nestled in some woods, we entered the guest suite, greeted by a couple of deer munching on some undergrowth right next to the house. there isn't a tv, which is fine, but be prepared for that if you don't like coziness and quiet. the space is on the small side, but perfectly sized for a couple or single person and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

    Aaron2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 recommend staying here - lovely fireplace -cozy atmosphere -wonderful amenities

    Alec2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

    Jeremy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

The Treehouse Retreat is in Philomath, OR - less than 5 miles west of Oregon State University. You can explore McDonald Forest, Bald Hill, and Mary's Peak nearby. Staying in a treehouse is the most unique experience! Book yourself an evening and disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. Be prepared for fancy camping and a composting outhouse. The Treehouse Retreat is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small families. May not be suitable for small children due to ladders.
This is basically a unique camping experience in a treehouse. There are electric lights on a dusk/dawn timer and a space heater if necessary, a composting outhouse (please remember to use the sawdust), a shower house with heated outdoor shower, a spring-fed fishing pond with working waterwheel and waterfall, trampoline, play field, climbing crows nest, rope swings, chicken coop, and zipline for fun. Drinking water is available from the garage sink if you need to refill a water bottle. Bring a cooler and easy foods to enjoy, and a flashlight or headlamp. There is a sleeping loft with an amazing memory-foam mattress perfect for two (we provide linens), and also 2 bunks below with sleeping pads and extra blankets for any additional guests. There is a covered fire-pit gazebo (please bring your own firewood), but we can't allow fires if the conditions are very dry and windy. Please inquire. May not be suitable for small children due to ladders, pond, and possible slippery decks when wet. Please note the treehouse is in the woods close to our house, so it is a shared driveway and yard. We will be nearby if you need something, but your privacy is first priority.
A new pedestrian park with natural playscapes is right next to our property. Several restaurants are within a half-mile: Dirt Road Brewing, Dizzy Hen, Timber Towne Coffee Shop, etc.
  • This was such an absolutely enchanting stay! I didn't realize it would be as magical as it was. Staying here is an experience. Easily could be a great retreat space for an extended amount of time to just hang out on the property and unwind. Loved the dog friends, and chicken greetings in the morning, and charming amenities and personal touches. Jason also was great on getting back to us quickly when we needed. Thanks, Jason!

  • AMAZING!!

    Tracy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a ball staying at the treehouse. There were lots of imaginative details that made the place seem like a fairyland. You need to like dogs, since there are several very friendly dogs that want to play. We came in February, but hope to have a chance to visit again some warm summer day.

    Raymond2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A treehouse it was and fun! Boy lovedthe zipline! Plan to come back!

    Paul2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This tree house was so amazing. We got in after dark and it was all lit up. Had a very magical feel to it. The bed was super comfortable and the decorations adorable. The dogs are very sweet, Just dont leave any food out or the dogs will eat it.

    Tyler2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my girlfriend got greeted by an awesome dog who followed us in. Theres another pupper who is sp hyper and happy and all this started the trip off great. The treehouse was nice and quaint and they provide PLENTY of blankets and quilts. Which is needed during this time of year. It's so cozy and nice here; I had a wonderful time cooking up some steaks and veggies over a fire on a cast iron skillet. I'd recommend this place to anyone from parents to couples. This place is FANTASTIC!

    Richard2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • My 9 year old son has not stopped talking about the treehouse since our stay! It was so much fun and such a unique experience! I highly recommend this treehouse to those with older children. It was a blast!

We live on the Santiam river and there are no homes across the way it's all forested. The neighbors next to us are rarely home so our area is very private. Our home is right next to the cabin but there are no windows facing you and we have a couple privacy screens pulled down on our back porch so you have privacy in the cabin and on your deck. There is a tuxedo kitty on the property called "Ninja" who likes to greet our guests and might try to come into the cabin. Many times you will see hummingbirds, bald eagles, fish jumping, river otter, beavers, deer and elk, fisherman, kayaks and people tubing (in the summer months) going down the river. Also in the summer months we have our own guests who come to raft, kayak, tube, fish, swim or sit out on the deck by the river bank just so you're aware. Our guests can't see into your room so you might look out and see someone at times but, they can see you on the back deck.
  • The River Cabin had many delights! Cyndi & Tim thought of EVERYTHING to create a relaxing, beautiful environment. Lots to do in the area, and the pour painting was fun! Our best Airbnb experience to date!

    Barbara2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful and Cyndi and Tim are great hosts. Everything looked professionally cleaned and the small touches made a huge difference - heated blankets for sitting on the back porch to watch the river, dishes washed for you, Hulu/Netflix/etc available for use, bubble bath for the bathtub....really couldn't have asked for a better weekend. We booked our summer stay as we were driving away, that's how much we liked this place!!

    Julie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is absolutely stunning, and our wonderful hosts Cyndi + Tim thought of everything down to the smallest details. Heated tile flooring... giant rain shower, large soaking tub with complimentary Dr Teals bubble bath... the softest robes ever... heated plug-in blankets to use on the porch to enjoy the river... complimentary snacks and drinks... a personalized welcome sign... all so very thoughtful. The cabin is so beautiful and relaxing and luxurious and I might not ever want to leave. Tonight they welcomed us into their art studio for a complimentary pour paint session and wine. They were so warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. We enjoyed talking and connecting and then learning about the various methods of pour art. I’m pretty sure this is our favorite AirBNB experience ever. We will absolutely be back. Thanks for a lovely weekend, Cyndi and Tim. ♥️

    Heather2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was nothing short of breathtaking. The moment we open the lockbox for the key the key had a shatter bait for fishing on it. This tickled my husband pink! The colors were vibrant and we had a special sign just for us wishing us a happy honeymoon. I loved all the bird feeders and the books provided to identify the birds and it was quiet and secluded. This made for a perfect and smooth intimate wedding for myself and my new husband. Thank you two for everything and I have recommended your cabin already to at least three other people! We plan to come back and enjoy more getaway in the future here. Some of my favorite take away would be the bathroom! The huge shower head was amazing and the heated tile floors are to die for. The sink and it’s unique nature and how the bath water ran from the ceiling!! In love with this place.

    Chelsea2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi & Tim’s place was INCREDIBLE! They thought through every detail to make it a luxurious, comfortable, fun place to be. They are gracious hosts and the space is so wonderful. Definitely a place we hope to return to!

    Jordan2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • A very relaxing atmosphere. Love all the little thoughts that went into the stay. very clean and gracious hosts.

    Stacy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi and Tim were fantastic hosts! Warm and accommodating, with thoughtful touches to personalize our stay! Will be back :)

    Corri2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful and Cyndi provides so many thoughtful touches. It is easy to find, even when arriving after dark. The bed is fabulous and the bathroom spoiled us. The floors are heated and the giant tub was perfect for relaxing. Our favorite part was the back patio. With nothing across the River, you get a completely unobstructed view of the river and forest. We ended our trip stopping by Evelyn Joe’s cafe after having some of their lemon poppyseed bread that Cyndi and Tim had left for us when we arrived! So yummy and only about 5 minutes down the road. We are already planning a return trip!
