  • Had a lovely trip, really warm and welcoming place to stay. The alpaca feed and little sweets was a nice extra. Alpacas was friendly! Would highly recommend.

  • We stayed for three nights for my husband’s birthday and wasn’t disappointed. A lovely little place in a quiet spot but close enough to amenities should you need them. A lovely clean modern lodge with a secluded patio area with a hot tub, which was fab watching the wildlife. Was even great in the wind and rain although a bit chilly getting in and out. Absolutely loved feeding the alpacas an added touch. Thanks for a great stay, would love to come back soon in the warmer weather.

  • I stayed here with my wife a couple of weeks ago and have to say we had a great time. Kristina was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. The place was very clean with some very luxurious touches (the bath and hot tub) and the Netflix account was a nice touch. There are some lovely places for walking and the local pubs are great. Lastly, Diesel the cat was amazing company and feeding the animals at the farm was good fun.

    Chris2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

  • I stayed here for 2 nights for my 30th birthday with my husband and friends. It was amazing, all of us had such a good time and would recommend The Stables to everyone! Very clean throughout, hot tub was amazing, kitchen was well equipped, fridge/freezer was a good size too. Communication was great, I received messages about check in and when the hot tub would be ready, very polite. Diesel the cat is lovely, very affectionate, however did wake us up a few times in the night for food, was happy once fed. Feeding the alpacas was a highlight. We were all so sad to be leaving, it was such a relaxing break and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, very private. We will definitely be booking to come back soon. Thanks for a great stay!

Charming wing of Grade 2* country house, log-burner, 2 double bedrooms, both en-suite, in 8 acre garden & Stour Valley. Stunning countryside. Romantic, charming, blissfully comfortable, cosy & warm. Ideal families, couples or friends. Heaven! The perfect place for a special weekend or a family holiday with swimming pool, tennis, goalposts, table tennis by arrangement, trampoline, playhouse (all at your own risk!) Please see important dates relating to the property for 2020 under The Space
2 en suite bedrooms, COTTAGE wing of Grade 2 country house in 8 acres of garden & Stour Valley. Stunning views, countryside & birdlife. Romantic, charming, blissfully comfortable, cosy & warm. Tennis court and swimming pool BY ARRANGEMENT when available.. Heaven! Please read on to see current news and updates. We acknowledge the seasons: At CHRISTMAS (from mid-Dec) - it will feel festive and special with a decorated tree - the perfect place to wake up to a stocking! We also mark EASTER and Valentine's Day and the fresh flowers in the cottage reflect the season. 2020 GARDEN OPENINGS FOR THE PUBLIC when we serve soups and teas and will ask you to move your car: Saturday 22nd February, 1-4pm. SNOWDROPS AND WINTER PLANTS AND SHRUBS Sunday 7th June - 11am - 4pm. Sunday September 13th - 11m - 4pm We continue to develop a Jungle Walk round the Lower Lake - this is at its most "jungley" in May but is lovely throughout the year and improving all the time. Spring blossom (including an avenue of ornamental pear) bluebells with cow parsley running through small woodland areas, and stunning barks with vast and ancient Acacia, leaning Oak and London Planes. A charming enclosed swimming pool garden and long-established bay and yew. A Royal Bed, and a Cottage Garden. Large Victorian glasshouse in walled garden, many scented plants and established climbers throughout the garden, including 30 or so varieties of roses, plus clematis, wisteria and hydrangea, a young Magnolia walk, many varieties of Acer and Eucalyptus. There is also a Bee Garden - a bank of wild flowers which peak with many other autumn stars for our September (Sunday 7th September) Charity opening, when exotic plants and Dahlias supplement the plants which shone in June. Chisholm's was originally the housekeeper's cottage for our family house, and is romantically cosy rather than spacious. It has been completely renovated with 2 bedrooms, one double with an excellent en-suite shower, and the other with 2 single beds with an en-suite bath and a shower over. It has a kitchen/sitting room with a round dining table, log-burner and television and wifi. There is an desk in the hall which is ideal for a laptop, or to write or even revise! Chisholm's is the perfect place for a romantic, private weekend away, just an hour's train journey from Liverpool Street, or for 2 couples or a family to spend some very special time in comfort and an enviable country house location which would be difficult to match. We provide board and card games, books, and with a bit of notice, a high chair. HOWEVER, please don’t be surprised or disappointed if you let me know 24 hours beforehand that you want extras and I can’t provide them - this is a family-run Airbnb, not a world class hotel! As well as Chisholm's, you will be very welcome to enjoy our beautiful 8 acre garden, and BY ARRANGEMENT (and possibly a small fee depending on the our family arrangements) the pool will be available at certain times. There is also a tennis court which you are welcome to enjoy by arrangement, and a well-equipped beach hut is available to rent at Frinton beach (35 mins drive) by arrangement. The garden has several seating areas, including a table and chairs immediately outside Chisholm's Wisteria-covered walls for you to sit and read the paper with a cup of coffee and listen to the church bell chime on the hour, and the endless birdsong. We would simply ask that you respect our family privacy as we will yours - there is masses of room for us all! Please do note though, it is a 4 person cottage. 5, even if one of you is a few weeks old, IS A SQUASH! You've been warned - and I won’t be accepting 5 guests in future. With advance notice, we are delighted to light the log-burner, and we will supply a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, eggs and bread. Please note though that it is a welcome supply to enable you to have tea and toast or gin and tonic on arrival, not a fully-equipped larder, so if you are wanting things like baking powder, olive oil and a kilo of coffee, please bring them! A full manual is in the cottage. Local interest includes towns (Colchester, Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds) museums (The Munnings Museum at Dedham, The National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket) beaches (Frinton, Aldborough) pubs and restaurants. There are also excellent gardens to visit, including the Beth Chatto Garden, Hyde Hall and East Bergholt Place, and fabulous walking and cycling through the Constable country of the Stour Valley. Chisholm's is 5 miles from Colchester, and is only 50 minutes to an hour by train from London. However, there is no village shop and I can’t recommend the pub - there are excellent pubs and shops within 4 miles or so, but a car is advisable. We will try to accept all bookings we are comfortable with, but one night bookings can be very difficult for us and so we ask that you agree to a £15 surcharge for a one night visit. Thank you. We have horses - they live in an immaculate yard and are extremely well-mannered. However, like any live animal, they can be unpredictable if spooked or frightened so please don't do anything to give them a fright, and be certain to close any gates you go through. Please keep any visiting dogs on leads when you close to the house or anywhere near the yard. Our garden is open to the public and groups on certain dates - please be sure you are happy with these.
The church bells chime on the hour, every hour between 8am and 8pm, and are rung for Sunday services. 2 traditional working farms in the village and a children's playground.
  • Excellent place to stay and child friendly. Beautiful setting and ideal location for travel to Colchester Zoo and other local tourist spots.

  • Cozy, peaceful and traditional cottage. Good selection of board games. 15 minute drive to centre of Colchester. Powerful shower. Medium soft bed with crisp, clean bedding. Friendly host and animals. The dog named lettuce showed us the garden, where we bumped into Polly checking on her bees and her daughter’s horses. Would recommend to friends visiting Colchester.

  • We stayed at Horkesley Hall for 2 nights over a February weekend. This was our first experience of Airbnb and, thanks to a completely positive experience, it certainly shan't be our last. Polly is the most thoughtful host. From start to finish our stay could not have gone smoother. Her directions to the Hall were so thorough that I could switch the SatNav off. During our short stay, she sent periodic messages to check we had everything we needed, which, of-course, we absolutely did. Horkesley Hall is a majestic building overlooking beautifully tended gardens with farms extending out in every direction. We chose to go here because, having looked at the amenities, it suited our needs so perfectly. It permits well-behaved dogs to stay, has a log-burner (a wonderful, atmospheric log-burner that completes the setting) and is sufficiently rural to find real peace. We took our dog, Finn, on holiday with us. He got to meet the resident dogs: 2 charming dogs of real character. He got to stare at the horses - some of the finest horses I've ever seen. He got to see a lot of wildlife. Judging from the length of time he slept on his return home it's clear he enjoyed himself immensely. The living room is thoughtfully stocked with myriad supplies one might need. Even though we took a great store of food and provisions, we forgot a couple of things. But thankfully there was a more than adequate supply of things already there. And additionally, Polly had taken the trouble to leave a few fresh supplies for us: milk, eggs and butter, etc. The butter meant we were able to have a lovely steak on our first evening. And the cosy evenings really were the best part of Horkesley Hall for us. Chatting by the log-burner until late evening with a roaring fire and a bottle of single malt surrounded by such a beautiful, traditional setting. Exquisite. I'm sure Horkesley Hall would be tremendous in the warmer months, with the flowers in full bloom and the pool available for a dip. But for me it couldn't be better than the wind howling outside and the rain lashing whilst we sat, completely snug, warm and content in this magnificent setting. During the Saturday there was an open garden event whereupon people visited the Hall and grounds, stopping in the nearby church for refreshments. The event raised some £2000 for charity which is wonderful. I have to confess I took a guilty pleasure in knowing that these visitors were gazing up in interest and wonderment at the very place where we were staying. In short, our stay here - our first Airbnb - was simply wonderful and we thank Polly most sincerely for all her kindness and hospitality. We look forward to trying further Airbnb locations. And we certainly look forward to coming back to this wonderful spot in the not too distant future.

  • For a tree enthusiast this is a lovely place to stay. Sprinkles of yellow ginkgo leaves on dark green yew pyramids were enchanting in the frost. Some unusual trees - bald cypress, magnificent oaks and cedar...... so many! Everything else lovely too.

  • The house is a dream in the countryside! We had a wonderful stay. It is so lovely at Polly‘s house. We will return!

    Thomas2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really nice couple of days at Polly's place in Little Horkesley. The apartment is very comfortable and set within beautiful grounds. Our son loved exploring and running around with the dogs. Thank you for having us!

    Holly2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Chisholm's is quite charming. We were blessed with fine weather which enabled us to revisit our favourite walks and Inns before returning to enjoy a pot of tea and a nap in front of the fire. The extensive gardens are delightful and you may well be lucky enough to be escorted around by the lovely Mycroft and Lettice, Polly's dogs. It would be good to return to see how the gardens change with the seasons, so another trip is definitely on the cards. The cottage itself is cosy and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Polly kindly provided the basics (bread, milk, butter, tea bags etc) so if you don't take provisions you can have a cuppa on arrival. The fire had also been lit which was a lovely touch. Chisholm's is so peaceful you can't help but sleep well and unwind, and we have returned home batteries recharged and feeling much better for our four nights away.

My home is close to the centre of the village. You’ll love staying in a medieval house in the heart of a village in Constable country. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. There is a one more double room available to rent. Search for 'Spacious Double Room in Medieval House' in Nayland. There are full kitchen and sitting room facilities. These are shared only with guests from the other double room. It's very spacious!
Adjacent to the bedroom there is a big sunny sitting room with a television, books and comfortable sofa, I am working on a small kitchen so that guests can be self contained if they'd like to be. Or can chill their own wine or make sandwiches for their adventure ahead. Also there is a large garden they are welcome to explore ( and weed if the need takes them! ) In the peak summer months there is a swimming pool guests are welcome to use.
In the heart of Constable country, walking distance from the stour that delineates Suffolk from Essex. Across the road from the church and a stones throw to the pub serving good food by the river. Central to the village 6 miles to Colchester in one direction, the same to Sudbury in the other. 15 mins to Colchester north station that gets you to London in 55 mins. 45 mins drive from Stansted airport

    Michael2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • A quirky house, full of character just 100m from The Anchor and its lovely food, beers and pretty location beside the Stour - what more could you ask for? Well maybe a large kitchen/ diner/ lounge with extensive library, a TV all to myself and a view over a quintessentially Essex village - Nayland? Ah, well Patsie's room provides all that as well as a warm welcome. By far the best Air BnB I have used over many years.

    Malcolm2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Patsie has a lovely two bedroom flat with a marvellous view and a superb communal living area with fridge, oven, hob and microwave and all the amenities you could wish for. It is wonderfully decorated with loads of Patsie's collectables. The bed is extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.

    Joanna2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quality accommodation in a lovely house and location. Patsie is so friendly and welcoming but not at all intrusive. Some lovely touches helped make our stay so nice. Bed very comfortable and the living room is a lovely feature. Would definitely return.

Lovely semi-detached house with a lot of light inside. We will share the bathroom, living room, garden for barbecues and, if you wish, Italian and Portuguese meals in our Vintage Kitchen. The house is on walking distance to the Highwood county park that will take you straight to the town centre (2 miles) and hospital (0.5 miles). Quiet and clean neighborhood, near a bus station ( bus n. 61 straight to UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX) and 24h TESCO store.
  • Excellent place to stay in while in Colchester:)

  • Valentina and Carlos are amazing hosts. Friendly, hospitable , thoughtful generous. I felt like I’d known them for ages. Valentina made sure I had a tea, she made me toast in the morning. I felt so much at home. Their home is clean, beautifully kept, and the are very welcoming people. I so enjoyed my one night stay and will definitely go back and stay again soon. You won’t regret staying at Valentina and Carlos’s place. It’s in a good location not far from pubs, shopping etc. Minutes drive into town and the A12. Thanks Valentina and Carlos. Your both super.

Private room in new build home, on a friendly, quiet estate. The house is opposite a school and within 5 minute walking distance of Colchester General Hospital and 15mins of North Station, you can also easily catch a bus into town (or 25min walk). You will have private access to the main bathroom during your stay. We do own two cats, they are friendly and are kept out of the guest room so you are welcome to fuss them and then find comfort in your own room.
It is a house, with one flight of stairs fully hand railed. Your bed is a small double with a wooden frame and soft mattress with an additional topper. The pillows are anti-allergen and bedding will have been washed ahead of your stay. Extra pillows/blanket are available in the room as well. The room has a mirror, chair and hairdryer for your use. A small alarm clock is in the room as well. There are various leaflets of local attractions if you need some ideas of what is around Colchester. There is a TV in the room that has all freeview channels and internet is accessible throughout the house. You will have exclusive use of the main bathroom, we will provide towels and basic toiletries for your use. It is a shower/bath with a mixer tap shower.
We live on a quiet estate opposite a primary school, it was built in 2012. We are a 5 minute walk from the country park, this can lead you across Colchester or to the town center. It is great for walking trails, cycling and fishing. We are extremely close to Colchester General Hospital, we have had multiple guests stay that work there. Please let us know if you are working at the hospital as we will do our best to make additional arrangements if needed (parking after check out, for example) as we like to help contribute towards NHS staff if we can.

  • I had a very comfortable stay at Laura's place. The bed was comfortable and the house was warm. There was a very nice bathroom with shower and bath for my exclusive use. The light in the room had an LED bulb that could be set to many different colours - I set it to orange to remove the blue light that keeps you awake, and I slept very well! The whole place was very clean and tidy. I felt very welcome there.

Well equipped, comfortable, self-contained studio situated in Dedham Vale AONB, within walking distance of Nayland village, with access to country walks, the River Stour and Suffolk market wool towns.
The self-catering accommodation comprises an entrance hall, spacious studio with open ceilings and exposed beams, light comfortable living room with 2 sofas, flat-screen TV, CD/DVD player etc. and a superking sleighbed offers a comfortable nights sleep. A small lobby leads to the shower room. There is a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room with fridge, full-sized electric cooker and hob, microwave, washing machine, drier and dishwasher.
The property is set on the edge of Nayland and is in the Dedham Vale AONB. There are many rural walks nearby. The village pub, butcher, Post Office and GP surgery are within walking distance. We are well placed for visiting the attractive Suffolk market wool towns of Sudbury, Lavenham, Long Melford and Hadleigh, all being less than 30 minutes drive away. There are also many charming villages nearby. The historic Roman town of Colchester is a mere 20 minutes away by car and can also be reached by a regular bus service from the village. The area is very popular with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and stargazers. The River Stour is nearby, with accessible launching sites for canoeists, kayakers etc.
  • Kate's place is great, we were very happy with our stay at Nayland. It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped, highly recommended.

    Ron2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 4 nights at Kate’s farmhouse apartment, and having read positive reviews, were not surprised to find it very comfortable, spacious and well equipped: a very appealing mix of traditional furniture and high quality modern kitchen appliances. The photos are accurate and Kate was friendly, quick and helpful in communicating and meeting us to check in. Nayland is a quiet, pretty village and a good location for walking and exploring places in Suffolk and Essex. The well stocked shop at nearby Stoke by Nayland was well worth the 45 minute walk and we had a lovely meal at the Crown. Highly recommended.

    Barbara2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's place is excellent and very clean. There is plenty of space, everything you could need for a short or long stay, and everything was impeccably clean. Kate kindly greeted us on arrival and showed us around. The location is great. This is probably one of the best airbnb stays we have had! We would definitely stay here again.

    Dave2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay in this beautifully positioned little coach house. Was quiet and stunning inside. I was meet by Sheila, who was amazing as I had car trouble (Exhaust fell off) and Sheila and her husband recommended a local garage who had it fixed within 4 hours of contacting them (Thanks so much again). Would highly recommend this Air BnB as it was first class.

  • What a great place to stay. Everything you could need for a home from home stay. Beautifully appointed and furnished to a high standard. A very comfortable large bed. A spacious house within walking distance to Colchester Park, town centre and sport centre. Not far from Colchester Hospital (perfect for healthcare staff). A single room with a single bed. Wardrobe, mirror, beside table, lamp, desk and chair. Shared bathroom. Use of washing machine, tumble dryer. Kitchen/diner and garden. Some people who stay are working temporarily in the area.
A single room in a spacious house near parkland from the Castle park within walking distance of the town. It's a quiet area near the river. I live here with my husband and have two single guest rooms and a twin room (feel free to contact me if you would like to book multiple room at once), all of which are used at various times. Often people who stay are working temporarily in the area. I offer a relaxed environment so you can chill out here. A single comfortable bed, wardrobe, desk, side table, and lamp. Each room overlooks the garden, shared good size bathroom, kitchen/diner and garden.
This is a quiet area near a field and river. The estate is called Riverside and has a path along the river. This path takes you to Wivenhoe or Colchester town. There is an outside gym area and bowling/sports centre with swimming pool within 8 minutes walking distance. About 4 minutes from the house there is a local shop, a pub that serves meals and several restaurants. It's a lovely town (the oldest recorded town in England), lots to do and see.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it is already my favourite one. I found a little cute house with a huge garden in a really quiet village. Tina and her family is so friendly and very hospitable. While my stay here I felt like a part of this amazing family. They took me to some nice Pubs around here and invited me for dinner. The two dogs catch me from the first moment. The room have a comfortable bed with a lot pillows and the bathroom is clean. If I ever come back to this part of England I will stay here again. Thank you for everything Tina :)

    Verena2019-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Tina's. Her communication is excellent and despite her having to rush to A&E she made effective arrangements for us to check in whist she was at the behest of the NHS. The room was comfortable clean and spacious with tea and coffee facilities. The place is a few minutes walk from the village pub, Breakfast was great. Tina and her son were friendly and very hospitable as were her 3 dogs. We didn't get chance to meet the horse or use the Hot tub!

Our beautifully renovated flat offers a spacious, contemporary, comfortable place to stay. Only a 10 minute walk from the Town Centre where you can find plenty of cafes, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants. Flatfive is decorated in calm neutral colours and has luxurious fabrics and finishes helping to make your stay restful and comfortable. This apartment is our home when we are in the UK. As such it is very comfortably furnished. We have wool carpets with double thick underlay, a natural fibre mattress with cashmere on the bed and 400 to 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding. In the kitchen the cupboards are bespoke birchply with a corian work surface.
There are many places in town to eat and lots of bars and clubs, some with local bands too. If you’re a culture vulture then Firstsight is the gallery for you, The Minories show local artists and have a nice garden for lunching in. There is the Arts Centre and the Mercury Theatre too. For history there is Colchester Castle, the Roman wall and the Natural History Museum. If you like some physical activity we are just a few hundred yards from a public footpath/cycle route that takes you all the way to Harwich.

Close to two lovely villages for meals / pubs and supplies. Cannot recommend it higher, great time, thank you very much.

  • WOW, What an amazing place. My family and I loved everything about the court barn. So many amazing little areas to retreat to inside and outside the barn. And also some beautiful walks around the grounds. Claire and Nigel were very accommodating and we couldn't thank them enough. We will definietly be returning in the future.

    Orla2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Court Barn is a wonderful place to stay. The main room is absolutely gorgeous - spacious whilst retaining a cosy feel. The outdoor space is also a pleasure and even though our visit was in February, we still managed to make use of the tennis court! We will definitely come again.

    Sam2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A truly wonderful place! The pictures look amazing but they still don’t prepare you for the Wow factor when you arrive. The space manages to be one of the largest living spaces you’ll spend time in whilst achieving a warm and cosy feel. Even though our visit was in January, we made the most of the tennis court - what a treat! A really special place - highly recommend!

  • Me and my partner had an amazing stay at the Shepherds Hut. Everything was perfect for our first Valentines, lovely little private spot with everything you need. Breathtaking outside views, we even had a rainbow as we turned up so thanks for the nice welcome touch Emma 😊. Red roses, home made bread, marmalade and some fresh eggs from their chickens, was all a very nice thoughtful touch. Brilliant outside space, we used the garden for yoga and ball games, we went for a county side walk, simply lovely. Extremely helpful with anything we needed and a lovely friendly couple. Would highly recommend them and we would love to stay again in the future *****

The Pump House is close to the village of Stoke by Nayland which boasts two great gastro pubs shop etc. yet the Pump House is surrounded by a simple field with a small stream running through. The Pump House is at the centre of a footpath network within the Dedham Vale, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Great views and walks. You’ll love my place. Its a quirky conversion of a water pumping station with every comfort and great views. My place is good for couples and furry friends (pets).
The space is open plan with the double bedroom curtained off and with a sofa bed and the TV on the balcony level. This cosy snug is reached by a steep paddle stair which is really not suitable for very young children or unsteady adults. The sitting area downstairs has extensive views all around to enjoy the wildlife. All very tranquil and quiet.
Two excellent gastro pubs in the village of Stoke by Nayland which is within easy walking distance. Ideal walking and cycling country straight from The Pump House.

  • The room is comfortable and well furnished with everything I needed, which made it possible to explore the interesting history of Colchester while also getting some work done on my research project. Sylvia and John are great hosts, always friendly and responsive. If you're traveling without a car the location is quite convenient, with efficient bus or train access to the city center or even the greater London area airports. The neighborhood is peaceful and there are quiet trails throughout the urban area and even far out into the countryside.

  • Sylvia and John provided a lovely single room in their family home - with a very comfortable bed and lovely touches such as a house manual, bottled water and snacks. I was very grateful for the flexible check-in time. Lovely family atmosphere in a quiet neighbourhood, about 10 mins drive from the centre of Colchester.

My home is at the very centre of this medieval village. The house itself is 15 century and is situated at the back of the old post office. There is usually ample parking outside. The property has a large peaceful garden that guests are welcome to use. There is a separate guest entrance and staircase and shared bathroom between those two rooms only. I have a large sunny guest sitting room / kitchen / dining. There is a one more double room available to rent. Search for 'Double Room in Nayland'.
There is a lovely sunny guest sitting room that has a well appointed kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, integrated fridge and dishwasher. In the room there is a small dining area, sofa and tv. This is shared with the other guests in the event that both rooms are simultaneously booked, but has never been a problem. Quite welcome to use the garden, sometimes the swimming pool is even up and running!
Nayland is in the heart of Constable country, the river Stour runs through it which delineates the Essex/ Suffolk border Colchester is five miles away with its main line station to London(50 mins) Sudbury five miles in the other direction. We are near the beautiful villages of Lavenham and Dedham.
  • Great spot in the centre of a lovely village

  • A beautiful house, really comfortable bed and so quiet and peaceful. The living room and kitchenette for relaxing and making tea / breakfast is a lovely addition - with a fab selection of books! Great garden too and a very welcoming and accommodating host.

  • This is a charming property with many unique and delightful features. Patsie was very welcoming. The home is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We shared the whole place with a friend. Lots of thoughtful touches - a load of bread and home-baked cheese scones for breakfast, flowers in the bedrooms. The place is very homely and full of character. It is right in the centre of Nayland.

  • Such a charming place to stay, right in the centre of Nayland. Patsie was really helpful and lovely and her house is very beautiful. Our bed was extremely comfy, we didn’t want to get up, and our room was lovely and big. I would definitely recommend staying.

  • We loved our stay in this amazing house. Patsie has decorated each room in an incredibly original way and we really felt very welcome. She has been a great host and has provided a lot of helpful information for our visit. We absolutely recommend it!

  • A fascinating old property with bundles of charm and all very comfortable. Patsy could not have been more friendly and helpful. And the added benefit of breakfast items was much appreciated. We would highly recommend this Airbnb.
