Unique 450 sq ft studio space with attached greenhouse and detached outhouse (compost toilet). People love the cozy feel of custom woodwork and natural light that gives Orchard the intimate appeal of a home, that is also a personal retreat. Folks have described the place as ‘perfect’ and ‘dreamy’. Orchard is 22 minutes drive to Asheville and close to nature. Very cozy for one or two, even a small family on a trip. The feel is rustic comfort with a lot of botanical appeal (interesting plants)

The gardens, the bird song, the pond, fireflies, starlight in the hot tub, the private sunset trail … Can it get any more magical? It all feels like your very own healing retreat. We were so at ease and felt immense peace the 5 nights we spent here. We both were sad to leave. Ginny was so hospitable and kind. There is not one thing we would’ve changed. It was honestly perfect. Do yourself a favor and STAY HERE!

A 10ftx10ft treehouse built around a hickory tree with a wood deck. It looks over a creek 30 feet below. There are electric switches/outlets and fan/oil heater. Climb a ladder to the sleeping loft with a standard full size bed. The loft has a peak high enough to stand up under. Cook outside on gas grill. No running water but there's a drinking water dispenser. The bathroom is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with solar tank at the end of a 25ft path, adjacent to the treehouse.

I created a passive solar tiny house, with tons of south facing windows & beautiful mountain views. It's located just 4 miles from downtown Marshall & it is about 20-25 mins. from both Asheville & Hot Springs. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby which include horseback riding, rafting/paddling on the French Broad River, zip-lining, hiking (we have more details in the host guidebook).
