The Firs is an end of terrace cottage, it's old and warm. It not suitable for those people whom may have mobility difficulties due to steep steps and stairs. I can do a simple cold buffet breakfast, you may like to bring breakfast/ food with you and cook ( as use of cooker etc). The Firs is about 10 minute walk to the Royal Welsh show ground and about half an hour drive to Hay on Wye and 3/4 hour to Brecon. I have a very friendly cat who shares the cottage.
I can do a simple cold buffet breakfast, you you may like to bring breakfast/ food with you and cook ( as use of cooker) and prepare, it's very easy, I'll even wash up. This room has a shared bath/shower/toilet room, only if other guest, most of the time you may find its only yourself that has use of. There is a common area of sitting room to relax with television. I have a car parking area for two cars. Gareden area to sit out in and relax.
The cottage is about 5 minutes walk to the market town, of Builth Wells, places to eat and local pubs, even a fish & chip shop. 10 minutes walk to Royal Show ground, easy drive to the Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, Hay on Wye, Brecon. Lots of local walks and places to visit during your stay. The cottage is on main road, but very low traffic and really quite as the cottage is set back and higher than the road.

  • Tom's place is cosy and inviting with bags of character. The bed was so comfy i didn't want to get up. Breakfast was a lovely touch. I'll definitely return!

  • This was my second stay at Tom's, and as always it was great. The room was well equipped with tea and coffee making things, and there was even a little box of chocolates for me. The bed was comfy and had lots of pillows. There is good wifi too. The cottage is quirky and full of charm. Tom is helpful and easy going, and puts out a lovely continental breakfast. A lovely place to stay!

  • My husband was attending the royal Welsh cob sale and needed somewhere close by, at first he was a but dubious about booking Tom's place as opposed to a hotel as he was travelling alone, arriving late and would be in and out at different times and didnt know how that would work. He was so pleased he did. Tom was so accommodating it was just like a home from home. Excellent communication, Perfect base for his needs and he will definitely be booking again for his next visit to the show. Thank you tom!

    Jennie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely and quirky place. Host is welcoming and helpful. I absolutely loved the decor and little touches. Tom left for us a beautiful variety of food for breakfast which is just a miracle for that price and amazing place. Would definitely recommend it to anyone staying near to Brecon Beacons.

  • The Firs hosted by Tom is an ideal place to stop over and see the local sites of mid wales or whilst passing through the area....a home from home with a relaxed space to recharge the batteries...well worth a visit. ....

  • Tom is a great host and his home is warm, comfortable and in a great spot to explore Mid Wales. He really makes you feel at home. Breakfast was fab and little touches really perked us up after a long day on our bikes. Thankyou.

  • A wonderful house full of character with stairs and corridors to explore. Studio flat with sloping roof and long thin layout is fabulous for people who like things a bit different. The hosts were as friendly and helpful as you could hope for. One of my favourite places to stay.

    R (Known As Bis)2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was just as described and very clean and cosy. Jo gave us fantastic recommendations about the town and we appreciated her warm hospitality.

    Nicole2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in the loft studio before and really like the fact that its a mini apartment with more facilities than a standard BnB room, although the host also offers a delicious cooked breakfast if wanted. The location is brilliant within meters of good pubs and great restaurants. And was perfect for our long weekend in Wales. We will be back again.

  • I do enjoyed staying at Jacqui’s place. It’s in a beautiful location and will calm the most frazzled of souls. Jacqui had made sure that I had everything I could possibly need and her place is stylish, comfortable and as clean as it could be. The wildlife in the area is spectacular; from the birds on the feeder, which included a nuthatch and a woodpecker, to the red kites taking off from the small stands of trees in the area. There is so much to do there no-one will ever be noted. Jacqui and her family are wonderful hosts and very interesting people. I can not recommend Jacqui’s place highly enough and I hope to return in the summer.

    Gillian2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! Really peaceful, cosy place. Jacqui and Andrew really could not be better hosts. Stunning views and great watching the birds on the feeder. Cannot recommend highly enough.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay at Christine and Graham's apartment. It was clean, tidy and modern with all the facilities you would need. I would highly recommend the accommodation if visiting this area.

    Graham2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place. Incredibly clean, homemade cake on our arrival located in a perfect location for exploring Builth Wells and the surrounding area. The apartment had everything you would need. Will certainly book again! Thank you so very much

    Tracey2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say but 5 star +! The flat is amazing, sparkling clean, with everything you need and in a great setting. We had a busy few days at the Royal Welsh Show, and to come home to this place was brilliant. It was really nice to have a chat about the local area and the beautiful garden. Christine and Graham have really opened their home to make an amazing destination. Highly recommended!

    Rhodri2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Christine and Graham's flat makes great use of the space while providing one or two people with everything they need. The kitchen, in particular, is well appointed including a full size cooker. The location is far enough from the town to make it very peaceful, a not unimportant consideration when the Royal Welsh Show is on! Christine & Graham were kind enough to let us leave our car there while we walked to the show, about 35 minutes along the river walk. The location is very good for touring this part of Wales. We had very enjoyable visits to Tretower Court and Llanthony Priory ruins, not to mention an adventurous trip on one of the highest roads in Wales, the Gospel Pass. Great views but confusing for satnavs!!

    Marie2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Christine has a beautiful, clean and cosy home perfect for anyone and those like me who look for comfort and privacy after a long day at work. Christine was so gracious and welcoming on my arrival and even had delicious home made cake on the counter which I thought was a very nice and thoughtful touch. It’s no wonder she’s a super host and I cannot recommend her and her home highly enough! I would definitely stay again if I was back in the area.

    Marieliese2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's apartment was a comfy get-away with plenty of kitchen utensils for us to cook and walking distance to town when we wanted to eat out. I would absolutely recommend them!

  • From the moment we first communicated with Beth I felt a sense of care from her. She was great at communication and I knew straight away nothing was too much trouble. Upon arrival at the park we were met with a field full of rabbits hopping freely around the park. A short car drive swept down to the river and tucked in the corner we arrived at the lovely No.20 Y Cwtch. The first impression was the locations view to the side of the lodge being the river and the peaceful atmosphere of the park. Once entering the lodge we were pleasantly suprised at the beautiful decor and cleanliness of the property. What caught our eye initially was the lovely welsh cakes in a lovely glass cake stand and goodies left for us on the breakfast bar. The interior was beautiful and everything was displayed with such care. Fresh milk and water was even left in the fridge for us long with tea/coffee/sugar everything and more you would need after a long journey! The location of the park was just a short drive I to Builth Wells and we also visited The beautiful Elan Valley with tourist centre and cafe all dog friendly, a park for the children, a must do if you are planning visiting the area. We stayed for 3 nights and crammed in a visit to the Elan Valley, a visit to Builth Wells and a Sunday roast at a lovely quaint community run pub just outside Builth Wells which was really nice. Overall for a short stay we really enjoyed our relaxing retreat to Y Cwtch at Caer Beris even with a dog and a child there was enough outdoor adventures to see and do even if it is March! I cant thank Beth and Tom enough for the care, attention and time they have spent making Y Cwtch a lovely clean, modern space for us to relax and enjoy a much needed break for us all and we wished we could have stayed a little longer to explore some more! A great place for all the family. THANKYOU! XX

  • What a lovely lodge in such a beautiful surrounding area. Would highly recommend this lodge to family and friends. Very modern and cozy, loved how Beth add the little touches with the hamper & Welsh cakes. Beth was a brilliant host and I will definitely be booking again. Thank you we had lovely weekend.

  • Absolutely loved it here! Was so lovely and super clean, we all loved it. Can’t wait to book another stay some time but for longer next time! The host was super helpful too with directions and communication etc.. can’t wait to book again! X

  • A beautiful lodge in a spectacular location. Bethan was welcoming and hospitable throughout my stay and look forward to visiting this amazing part of Wales again in the summer.

  • A stunning chalet in a beautiful location! Stayed for new year with our 2 dachshunds, Y Cwtch is stunning! Sparkling clean, lovely decor & the comfiest bed I’ve slept in! We arrived late as I had to work and the chalet was lit up with fairy lights and so cosy inside, such a lovely welcome with gorgeous detail, perfect after travelling and meant we could settle in straight away. I would definitely stay again & would definitely recommend! I have already sent the link to a few people after they asked when I posted pics on social media :)

    Rhianna2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing lodge, very stylish and dog friendly. There’s a river near the lodge which is ideal for the older kids. There are amazing walks near by and Prince Llewelyn pub in Cilmery was great. The lodge had tea, coffee and sugar provided. Beth has put milk in the Friday for us on arrival for that important cup of coffee after a long journey. It had everything that we needed for our stay.

    Rhiannon2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great lodge / cottage in a small sized facility. Looks brand new and is fitted out with everything you need for stays. Ideal for small families / groups. A real highlight of the lodge is it’s deck and patio doors looking out over the river and fields - very tranquil. Bethan was very responsive to questions. We would certainly stay again and recommend the accommodation.

The Cabin overlooks our lush, wild and beautiful garden, which is part of a permaculture smallholding with bees, orchard, vegetable plots, ponds, stream, woods etc. Builth Road Station is a couple of minutes walk away. Easy to park, with nearby walks and further afield are the Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley. Builth Wells is a short distance with most facilities you could need. The space is compact, cosy, light and airy. Good for couples and solo adventurers.
The Cabin has wonderful views, particularly the sunsets looking over the Cambrian mountains. The garden is secluded, but also part of a smallholding growing mostly fruit and veg. We are growing organically with permaculture/eco principles. We are both artists/creative people with artworks everywhere including garden/house murals. The cabin has a fitted carpet and curtains. There is a kettle and teas provided. The bed is a futon on a purpose built base and it has a comfy sofa with cushions. The blankets and a down duvet will keep you warm but an electric heater is available if needed.
We are at the end of a small village (Builth Road) in a rural community. Our land runs away from the village and down to a small secluded stream. The locals are friendly. There is a small community garden and park with a childrens play area in the village. There are secluded walks and the river Wye is 10 mins walk away. The Royal Welsh Showground is 15 mins walk away and throughout the year a variety of events take place there

  • What an amazing find! We stayed in one of the cabins, which had an incredible view and everything you need. The hosts are great. The site has everything you need and just a 20 minute walk from town.

  • Lovely area - it feels as though you are in the middle of nowhere from your pod, but Builth Wells and its amenities are just around the corner. The log burner heated the pod up quickly and the bed was reasonably comfortable. You definitely need a torch for the night time for the walk to the toilet, although the fairy lights point you in the right direction! It was perfect for the short break that we wanted.

  • Awesome place! Facilities, location, scenery, everything was spot on. Really friendly helpful hosts too. We'll be back

  • Fantastic getaway, I came at a quiet time and had all the privacy and calm I needed. I don't have kids, but there is plenty to do if you bring your little ones. The experience is close enough to camping / getting away, but there are things available that will make it comfortable enough so that those of you who aren't fans of camping won't freak out, you can get what you want from it. The hosts give you wood you need for the wood burners and fire pits AND there is a little on site 'shop' if you forgot to bring some basics.. or if you fancy FRESH FARM EGGS!! Lovely people, great atmosphere. I won't say 'I would recommend', but only because I already started recommending this to my friends and basically just won't shut up about it. Thank you!

  • This place and surrounding area is like a Pandora’s box...Lovely little town, scenery and local greenery like being in a moving painting some of the spots absolutely breath taking. If you get a chance go visit.

    John2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute gem find

    Julie2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the pods is gorgeous with spectacular views - it feels secluded yet you are really close to town. We stayed in the 2 people pod and it was lovely, if a little small for people who like a lot of space! We couldn't be bothered converting the bed back to seats and a table every day, so ate off our knees a couple of times. However, this wouldn't have been an issue at all if the weather had been warmer as the extensive veranda area had ample seating outside. The wood burner was brilliant and heated the pod really quickly, plus the disposable barbecue meant we had an al fresco meal one evening. Everything has been thought about in the amenities block and the showers were brilliant. We have already booked for next year and Nic was kind enough to show us round the other pods, so we're going for a 4 people pod next time!!

    Jo2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little wooden pod in a small woodland area. The amenity block is a great addition as it means you can have a nice warm shower and somewhere to charge the phone and do other modern essentials! Would definitely stay again.

Albir Lodge is situated close to the river Irfon in Caer Beris Holiday Park on the outskirts of Builth Wells. Builth and the surrounding area has something for everyone - walking, cycling, culture, scenery, nature. An ideal base for exploring the Brecon Beacons, Hay-on-Wye, Llandrindod Wells and the Elan Valley.
  • This was our 2nd stay on the site but our 1st in this lodge. The lodge is ideal for travellers with pets as the floors are laminate throughout, making it easier to keep the place clean and tidy. The enclosed decking was ideal as well so the dogs couldn’t escape :) WiFi was a great addition for the kids and lock box Checkin was ideal as we arrived late coming from Cornwall in bad weather. Will hopefully be back in the new year

  • Kathryn gives great communication about every detail that you may require, everything is as expected and as shown in the photo's set in one of the best sites on the park with awesome open spaces in front and a huge field for kids to play on... and adults too as we were playing "Kubb" in the limited sun we had on Saturday evening, beds extreamly comfortable everything you need to cook with plenty of entertainment too with books, games and DVD's for all the family as well as outdoor fun for kids not the easiest site to find cabins on but the warden Nigel was a great help but with the lodge being hard to find means its In prime location would I stay again? - No hesitation on that if Kathryn wanted us back would I recommend? - certainly would also recommend a great place to eat with awesome service - Llanelwedd Arms Hotel Thank You Kathryn ;-)

Irfon lodge is a hideaway waiting to be discovered. Located just outside the picturesque town of Builth Wells in Powys. Our lodge is set in 34 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds set on the banks of the river Irfon. Surrounded by stunning welsh countyside, Caer Beris park guarantees total relaxation. A lodge on a holiday park offering few distractions... just peace and quiet that feels like a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of normal daily life.
There is one large double bedroom with an additional 'Jamie in the box' fold out single bed. We also have a double sofa bed in the living area which will allow a family/group of up to 4/5 to stay. We have parking outside the lodge for one car but could possibly fit two close together.
Builth Wells is a small charming town full of individual shops and the home of the royal welsh showground. The area is very good for walking, road cycling, mountain biking , fishing and a whole lot more. We are about 30 minutes from the Brecon beacons and 20minutes from the stunning Elan valley reservoirs. Builth Wells also has many local sporting activities to either participate or spectate (e.g club rugby and park runs).
  • This was our second stay, it’s just the right size with everything you need, not sure what else I can say, we will be back... very quiet location and an easy place to walk from so you don’t have to use the car.

  • Perfect stop over for our family of four and a dog! We gave such little notice (an hour!) and yet it was perfectly cosy, warm and really clean all ready for our arrival. Hosts were so quick to respond and we felt able to contact them if needed, which we didn’t. Lots of lovely little touches and really pleasant and practical location. Went on a lovely riverside walk this morning before we left. Would recommend. Thank you again.

A beautiful quiet & calm oasis close to the Mid Wales market town of Builth Wells. It is a 25 min walk to the town so a car would probably be needed, as there is no shop on site. The lodge it’s self is light and airy with a lovely view over a small fishing lake it feels very private and relaxing. To open the lodge guests will be required to have a smart phone to use the ‘Smart Lock’ installed.
The lodge is a self contained space.

Beautiful, private Lodge overlooking a fishing lake on Caer Beris holiday park near the market town of Builth Wells. Private parking, sleeps 5, BBQ area, dog friendly, surrounded by wildlife and picturesque scenery and walks.
Our lodge is quiet and peaceful surrounded by wildlife. Overlooking a private site fishing lake, where day permits can be purchased to do a spot of coarse fishing, then walk for 2 minutes back to the lodge for a well deserved cuppa or something a little stronger maybe! Flowing through the holiday park is the River Ithon, which on low tide you can access via the large field at the bottom of the site to enjoy the pebbles areas with your dogs or children. A short walk through the site is the beautiful Caer Beris Manor, formerly owned by Lord Swansea offering afternoon tea (booked at least 24 hours before) and evening meals overlooking their gorgeous gardens. 5 minutes drive from Builth Wells and 20 minutes from the stunning Elan Valley Dams.
The trickling water from the fishing lake, birds singing in the tree's, rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and hedgehogs are spotted all around the lodge. If you need a relaxing holiday, you'll love our lodge.
  • Highly recommended!!!

  • Lovely place to stay, amenities are close and the scenery is beautiful. The place was spotless and a little home away from home. There is no internet access which can be a pain but everything you need to discover the local area is provided by Emma and Dale. Very good job for your first holiday let, should be very proud of yourselves. We would happily stay again and again.

    Margreet2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Certainly a beautiful part of the world to spend a few days relaxing. Emma and Dale's cabin is located in a nice and vast park and can accommodate 5 people easily. Although on the first night we had some slight hiccups with gas running out, it was promptly fixed next day morning and we were offered an extra day's stay to compensate for the inconvenience but we couldn't take up the offer due to sadly needing to get back to work! The location is good for families with dogs and not too far from the town centre for quick food or grocery runs. We quite enjoyed our visits to Dan-Yr-Ogof caves and Henrhyd Falls which are about an hour's drive from Builth Wells.

    Shefin2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • It's an amazing place to relax and enjoy the nature. Its in the best location and great access to all the shops, only downside was not having WiFi.. But hey, you are there to relax and enjoy your holiday, so not having WiFi is the best thing ever, so u can spend more time with your loved ones and friends and make memories rather than glued on to your gadgets.. And the hosts are lovely they left me with a birthday card and Welsh cake to wish me, that was a good gesture which was unexpected.. So overall I will rate the hosts and the cottage 5*.... You won't be disappointed in your stay... - thanks Emma and Dale

The address is 28, North Road, LD2 3BU. Do please read the "detailed description". There is ALWAYS NO SPACE IN THE HOUSE for the Royal Welsh Show!
PLEASE read all of these details, so you don't ask for what I haven't got! Two rooms available in our spacious 1935 home on the edge of Builth Wells, opposite the Royal Welsh Showground. The guest room has 2 singles and the spare room bunks and a single. It's a gentle, nice house, full of books and character. Builth has 2400 people, except during the Royal Welsh, when it has about 240,000 and becomes Abilene for a week. It is a traditional home - quiet, unspoilt. Solid fuel Rayburn, solar panels [in case the sun should ever shine again...], solar p.v., open fires, 5 bedrooms . Who lives here? My 93 year old Mum, Pixie, who's partially-sighted: she's recently been diagnosed with [mostly vascular] dementia and can't be left on her own for very long. My 26 year old son, Rob, and myself [64]. [Rob's room has a shower & washbasin]; the spare room a small wash basin. There's a family bathroom and 3 separate loos. Downstairs, each of us 'has a room' so I don't have to watch her soaps or his films. Mine's peaceful and you're welcome to share it. There are BIG gardens, which are mostly lawn. I do my best to make sure that there's colour in it. I TRY to grow the vegetables we like in the orchard's raised beds and polytunnel. We're 5 mins' level walk from the town, on the Wye Valley Walk, and 10 mins' walk from events at the Showground - 15 from Penmaenau. The 4 days of the Royal Welsh is the only time when we're usually full to bursting a year in advance! Glorious countryside. The Abergwesyn to Tregaron road is the most beautiful road in Wales. Two hours from Oxwich Bay on the Gower [heaven - one of the 10 Best Beaches in the World!] - everywhere is within striking distance. 1.5 hours to the west coast, 2 hours to Chester etc. No traffic jams; friendly people who have time to talk. The record [Royal Welsh week] was 15 adults. Insane! PLEASE NOTE - I NEVER have spare round Royal Welsh time; I have people who fill the place every year. I've put £40, because it doesn't allow me to put what I want. It depends what time of year, who is already here, how many you are, whether you want a full cooked breakfast and so on. I usually say £40 for a single person; £60-80 for a twin with two people. Will discuss if you fancy staying. I am a warm, friendly hostess, a character - the world and his wife drains prismatically through here. I am NOT the world's greatest cook and we have to live frugally, but can rustle up a decent breakfast. You're at home, see?! You're welcome to cook yourself. Or just munch toast and marmalade or jam and drink copious cups of something hot. Loads of places to visit and places to eat etc - can always suggest where to go. I sing tenor with Hay Community Choir [Thursdays] and Whitton Voices [Tuesdays]; I'm Foxwhelp Morris' sedentary Fool and I'm involved with Castle Carols, "Sheffield carol singing" in pubs and wassails in December and January. Contact me for more details! The house IS unique. It's not posh, but it has character. Me too!
Put "Builth Wells" into the usual search engine maps and read about the area. It's like living in the 1950s. Friendly; everybody knows each other. No crime to speak of. Very nice place to live.
  • A very friendly host and a beautiful home in a great location. Lots of local knowledge to share. I was given tips on where to eat out and enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend.

  • On booking Susie communicated swiftly and warmly. Unfortunately I didn't make it on my cycle to Builth Wells due to Storm Callum. She continued with great communication as the day approached and gave me weather updates and sensible warnings. I lacked great communication and cancelled at 2pm on the day. Being stubborn I had hoped to still make it through and was beaten by road closures and the wind in my face. Remarkably and with great kindness she refunded me the stay. In all my dealings with Susie I would highly recommend her. She is someone with great duty to her guests. I will return to this beautiful area of Wales when the weather is not at its worst in 30 years.

  • We are a group of five motorbikes and our host received us in very nice ways. They could not do enough for us, the bikes had their garage and we stayed in a mansion with a delicious homemade breakfast. We recommend this accommodation to all those who want to taste English hospitality.

  • Susie is a superb host. She made us feel at ease straight away and opened her house to us..a home from home. We stayed in Builth Wells to attend the Urdd Eisteddfod at the Royal Welsh Showground. The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the Showground and also the town centre. It is however located on a very peaceful street, overlooking the river. I would highly recommend this property. Thank you Susie X

  • Susie's welcome and trust is exceptional. I was on a tight schedule cycling from Holyhead to Cardiff and Susie was very flexible and helpful. You really feel that you are staying in someone's home and this creates a very relaxed atmosphere. The town is within a short stroll and Susie lives in a beautiful part of the world. Would certainly recommend and thank you Susie for your very warm welcome to your home.

We liked the decor, the decorative finishing touches and the impressive bathrooms. Glenys was very welcoming and checked a couple of times that everything was OK. We'd certainly come back again and we'll recommend the property to anyone we know who wants to visit the area.

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the kitchen was well appointed. It was perfect for the four of us, as a base to explore Brecon Beacons and Elan Valley. Cosy Corner was recommended and is definitely the best place to eat at in town!

A recently converted stables with eco-friendly heating system. The location is peaceful & ideal as a base for exploring the beautiful countryside of Wales & the borders but we are also just 5 minutes drive from Builth Wells centre & the Royal Welsh Showground. Hay-on-Wye is 35 minutes drive away. The property is part of our home but guests will have the entire guest suite to themselves. We live in the adjoining cottage so can be on hand to help should you need us.
There is underfloor heating which is powered by a ground source heat pump. The bedrooms are on the ground floor & each has an ensuite shower room. Three steps down from the living room take you into the large, light-filled kitchen & dining area. There is an outdoor seating space outside the kitchen with table & chairs. The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, an oven, hob, coffee machine & dishwasher.
The property is surrounded by paddocks, woodland & gardens. Bird life is plentiful, from red kites to wrens & we have thriving populations of hedgehogs & bats. We keep a small number of miniature Ouessant sheep to 'mow' the grass in the orchard & paddocks. On a clear night, the starry sky is breathtaking as there is so little light pollution. Builth Wells has a range of shops, takeaways & pubs/ restaurants, as well as a cinema/ theatre, post office, bank etc.
  • We had a great stay at the Old Stables, which is beautifully converted and very well equipped. As others have said, it's even bigger than it looks in the photos but is still warm, cosy and very comfortable. The location is great, in a secluded and quiet spot outside the town but close enough for easy access. It was perfect as a base for exploring the area. Louise and Michael were lovely hosts and helped with any enquiries we had. Would highly recommend.

  • The stables are an amazing place to stay, with big, bright & airy rooms. Only 2 mins from Builth, but in the lovely countryside with just pheasants, sheep & chickens around. Made for a lovely two night break away with hubby and children, but could easily stay for longer. Was made very welcome by the hosts. Would definately recommend

    Lisa2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • A little idyllic spot to chill out and just forget about the world! Lovely hosts, who have created a very stylish and relaxing space. Everything we needed was there, they had even put fresh milk in the fridge, a nice little touch. The surroundings are picturesque, tranquil and relaxing. The seating area at the back made for a lovely spot to eat al fresco and it was nice not to be able to hear the hubbub of normal busy life everywhere around. We will definitely be heading back here, it is definitely a place to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Peter2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a lot bigger than we expected. The kitchen/breakfast room is fab and we particularly liked the fact that there was everything you needed, gadget wise in the kitchen. The bed was super comfy too!

  • You can expect a 🌟🌟🌟🌟 lux cottage in a quiet country setting. All modern emenities and tastefully put together. The chooks even provided breakfast. Town is only a short stroll to pubs and country shops.

  • Stables Cottage is so wonderfully comfortable, well equipped and ideally located to visit the Royal Welsh Showground. It is the perfect place to relax surrounded by beautiful countryside in idyllic peace and quiet.

  • Louise and Mike have created the most amazing space, really stylish, spotlessly clean, with a kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need, right down to the built-in cappuccino machine!! Location is great too, easy walk into town with no need to walk on the roads. We had a great family break, with great facilities at home and within short car rides. Best Airbnb we've stayed at yet....

  • A huge space down a secluded private road just outside Builth Wells. Appointed to a high standard with lovely personal touches this is a wonderful countryside retreat - with added sheep, chickens and bees ( plus cats and dogs). Bring your binoculars and cameras with your walking boots.

  • We absolutely loved our stay in the treehouse, absolutely magical.

    Liz2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We received a warm welcome and were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the entire site and the wealth of amenities on offer. The treehouse is a fantastic space and as soon as my niece and nephew saw it they thought it was amazing and couldn’t wait to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the treehouse and the site, it’s a great place to explore. The treehouse was very clean and comfortable with great decor and had everything that we needed during our stay. The games room was an added bonus which appealed to adults and children alike and there was a really friendly atmosphere in the communal spaces and it’s great to see so much effort being made to encourage recycling, the compost loos etc - a fantastic woodland adventure!

    Sarah2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend the treehouse, a relaxing environment with great scenery and hospitality. Plenty of space for the kids to explore and the amenities are spotless. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend.

    Wayne2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • I came to stay with 2 friends for a local festival and had a lovely time. Location was great, it was near town but felt farther as we were in a nice wooded site. It met and exceeded my expectations of a treehouse- it was up in the tree but very sturdy in a wind! WiFi was available but we couldn’t get connection in the treehouse, only from nearer the main building, but we were enjoying the relaxed place to much to miss it. Well set up for families with kids, and we will have to come back to try out the pizza oven!

    Laura2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is a magical place to spend a holiday. All the rooms and furnishings are beautifully hand built and set in lovely woodland.

    Duncan2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was fantastic, such a novelty experience. Easily warm enough even in February. Hosts helpful and showed us round the whole site. Be prepared for a gruelling wheelbarrow trek up the hill with your luggage, but all part of the experience.

  • Stayed here for a nice quiet New Years, perfect for what we wanted. Great location, place was easy to find nice and clean and toasty once we had got the heating on! Nice and close to the local town center (about a ten minute walk, along the river). If you’re looking for somewhere that’s local but feels out in the country, this is the place for you. Also great for dog owners!

  • I had a relaxing stay here and was pleased that the road didn’t make a lot of noise. The place has a warm and homely feel to it; small touches here and there like books and tissue boxes. As a resident of the town I know the area anyway; but it’s well situated for walks to the local pub, or rivers Usk and Wye which join up just across the way. Ian and his wife were friendly and left me to my own devices. A particular highlight for me was being able to have my breakfast in the conservatory. No complaints, overall. Thanks, Ian and Eiworny for a clean and pleasant stay. Ridley

  • Tom was able to accommodate a very last minute booking and was super communicative in helping us locate his place. Tom's top floor bedroom is among the best value for money at any AirBnB we have ever stayed at. The bedroom has an amazing view of the Welsh countryside and the location is second to none for exploring Builth Wells and surrounding areas. There is street noise when the window is open- but that inconvenience is negligible compared to the experience of staying on the top floor of Tom's home. If we were to return to the area again this is where we would stay!

  • Great host, hospitality, quick response. The place was very cute with lots of character. We stayed in the room at the attic, with en-suite bathroom and toilet. The continental breakfast included in the total fees was great as well, lots of choices including pastries, different yoghurts, fresh fruit, porridge etc. Overall very good value for money. Highly recommend!

  • Great location. Definitely do the riverside walk into Builth. Anne is a thoughtful host and she wants to ensure you stay is comfortable. She leaves games and DVDs, the heating on and lots of hints and tips as to what you can do to get the most out of your stay. We would recommend the dams and the Red Kite feeding.

  • Annes Cabin is beautifully kept, cosy, with some lovely homely touches, add to this a perfect host, fabulous area with lovely views over the lake and beautiful walk over the chain bridge then you have a perfect place to relax and unwind, be it sitting with a long G&T on the decking area overlooking the lake or sipping a glass of wine cosy and warm inside - perfect 👌🏻

  • Anne's feels remarkably secluded, but is within easy (and beautiful) walking distance of Builth Wells. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • What a truly wonderful time we had. The lodge itself is welcoming, comfortable, and fully equipped, and the grounds and views are spectacular. The perfect place for a nice relaxing and quiet break. Would, without doubt, stay again next time we visit the area.

  • You will find Anne's place just over a mile from the centre of Builth Wells. Postcode was used. Its on the right hand side and please be aware of a 5mph speed as you enter the private park. If you want peace and quiet, spotlessly clean, relaxing and a very comfortable nights sleep then this is the place for you. After a hot shower you can sit on the decking with refreshments and surrounded by spectacular scenery. The fishing lake is right in front of you. Plenty of opportunities for discovering the area. Anne has provided maps and places of interest for all ages. If the weather is not good she has a TV, Boardgames, DVDs. You need nothing more for your visit. Don't miss this opportunuty.

Our place is set in a wild and beautiful garden, we have a couple of acres. The house is close to friendly neighbours but we are also quite secluded as the land runs away from the village. We are both artists so the walls of our house are full of paintings and we like bright colours as the decor shows. Please note the bathroom is down stairs from the room The station is close 'Heart of Wales Line' and one bus a day. It's definitely worth researching before you book if using public transport.
This is our lovely light and airy spare room where we often have friends to stay. It can either be made up with a double bed or two singles. So please let us know which you want when you book. It is also where most of our books live on built in book shelves. The room is also used for meditation and yoga.
Our house is at the top of a private road. The neighbours are all very friendly but we don't generally see them much.
  • Very friendly host, highly recommended.

  • Philippa's warm welcome was much appreciated on a chill, November night and she made us feel at home throughout our stay. The house was clean and quirky, with plenty of interesting decor and good conversation too. Recommended.
