This homestead is nestled on a quiet backroad and within walking distance to the Robert Frost trail. Zoe and family made me feel welcome, and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

Absolutely loved staying here! I unfortunately was sick most of the time, but it was a very peaceful getaway especially since I wasn't feeling well. Couldn't have asked for a better place to have a bit of respite. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the animals were lovely. Would love to come stay again.

Elaine's place is a very short drive from UMass Amherst and situated in an easily found location. The space is very comfortable, clean, quiet and inviting. I found it very easy to settle in and slept soundly. Truly a rare find!

Elaine is the best hostess you can imagine. This accommodation is also ideal for families to spend their holidays here. In total, she rents out three rooms. We were lucky because the other guests were also very friendly and we could have breakfast together. We had a really nice stay here. Elaine is the best hostess you can imagine. This is honestly one of the best stays ever. THEY HAVE ANIMALS what else could you ask for? The Horse kisses and sheep being like wooly puppies are the only thing I need to be happy for the rest of my life.

Zoe's place is exactly where you want to go if you're looking for relaxation, off the grid, in a very chill farmhouse. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but you're close to some great restaurants and other fun stuff in Amherst and Hadley.

We had a wonderful stay. Lois was very communicative, kind, helpful in helping us find our way around the area. She has very friendly animals that were a joy to interact with. A super creative house. Clean, comfy warm bed and shower. Great breakfast suggestion at the local co-op and an art exhibit at a local museum. Short and easy drive to Northampton where we love walking around and getting tea. Will definitely plan to stay there again the next time we are heading up north.

Our second stay with Lois was as great as the first, definitely thinking to arrange a third. Her cat Spikely and dog Darby bring lots of playful fun to evening chats. Peaceful place, nice conversation, cozy bed! Lois Lane is the place to be.

Lois has a wonderful out-of-the-way country home in a deeply peaceful setting, full of eclectic charm and fantastic artistic surprises everywhere. Lois is kind and very real, a great conversationalist, and her wonderful dog and cat, Darby and Spikely, will want to be your new best friends. We miss them already. If you want to get away from it all, but still feel like you're in a welcoming home, "Lois Lane" is the place you're looking for.

We are visiting the school nearby. The host, Letha, was super nice. We greeted us when we arrived, introduced us to the room, and exchanged enthusiastic information about the school with us. Her eldest son went to school in Kitanoyama and also offered her son to help share a lot. This landlord feels very warm! The interior of the room is well-equipped, comfortable, and tastefully furnished! If you have the opportunity to study nearby, then come often!

Letha’s place was perfect, it had everything we needed and more! The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotless, and super cozy. Letha was super welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We would stay here again and would recommend here to anyone needing to stay in the area!

This was a perfect place for us to stay while we helped our daughter move into an apartment for grad school. Letha's place is ideally located within minutes to campus and our daughter's apartment. Letha offered to help us and our daughter with anything we needed . The apartment was clean, nicely arranged with beautiful flowering plants. She included unexpected amenities such as bottled water/coffee/fruit and bagels with cream cheese. A great way to start our day. We definitely plan on returning when we visit our daughter.

Letha is an amazing Hostess. I had previously stayed at an airbnb and felt a little out of place and awkward. Not at Letha's house! From the time I checked in I felt like part of the family. Her personal touches made me feel right at home and communicating with her was simple and I always received a fast response! The house is in such a beautiful rural location, and yet so close to Amherst. The room was comfortable and perfect for our needs - I was able to work remotely from there at the desk, with WiFi, and the private bathroom was great. Stacey and Deep were lovely and available when needed to answer questions and offer tips. A delightful stay overall!

Lovely quaint place in the woods with the conveniences of Amherst within minutes

Deep and Stacey have a lovely old house in the country. Crickets welcome you as you arrive. Checking is very easy. The two rooms are fairly secluded from the rest of the house and have their own private bath accessed through the room with the queen bed. There is lots of light and plenty of windows. A small window air conditioning unit was great to have. Esthetically the house and the rooms are very warmly inviting. Everything is clean. They left great coffee for us to brew and allowed us to use their hot tub. I will remember this stay very fondly!

Carol and Erold provide a wonderful space that is clean, bright and comfortable. The beds and pillows are good quality and the appliances are all new and work well. There are plenty of plush towels, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, some cleaning supplies and quality soap (shower, bathroom sink and dish detergent). I particularly enjoyed that eco-friendly products were provided. Additionally, the shower has excellent pressure. Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, teas, some condiments, cooking oil, etc were also available, which was a very nice touch. The communication was easy and fast and Carol made sure to check on how the stay was going after we got settled (through Airbnb website). The location was absolutely perfect too. It was a 7 minute drive into Amherst centre but far enough away to be nice a quite. I would highly recommend a stay at the Bailey’s Apartment.

The place of Carol and Erold is even better than we can see in the pictures! Everything was clean, organised and working. I spent 7 days with my husband and baby and we felt very comfortable. We do recommend the place!

Look no further...Carol and Erold's place is a great home away from home. The location is located with quick access to Amherst, Northampton, and South Hadley (all within a 10-15 minute drive). The peacefulness, quiet, and amenities were perfect for a weeklong getaway in Western MA. Their airbnb has a full kitchen, great bathroom, two rooms, and a living room space. It was a great stay and I'd definitely return when/if I'm in the area again.

Julie is the ultimate host. She welcomes you into her house and makes you feel at home. Her house was clean, warm, beautifully decorated, and cozy. My daughter and I felt like we were visiting an "old" friend. Julie is warm, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, extremely artistic, and just a great person. She will offer suggestions for hiking, dining, and places to visit while you're staying in western Massachusetts if you ask. However, she gives you space if you so desire. She is very adaptable and fluid. If you're considering vacationing in western Massachusetts, I highly recommend Julie's beautiful home tucked away in the woods but easily accessible to many great places. I loved my weekend stay at at Susan and Mitch's place. Although we didn't meet, I was in contact with Mitch before, during, and after my stay. I found their place clean, quiet, and more spacious than I had anticipated. My flat was nicely renovated, while preserving the feel of the 19th-century house. I slept great on the large and comfortable bed, took nice warm showers, and appreciated the granola and english muffins they left me. Main Street is a quiet, but large, street with many beautiful old homes. Travel by bus to Amherst on the weekend is infrequent but definitely possible from a stop just up the street. In addition, with patience, I was able to get car service to and from Sunderland. I really enjoyed my stay and I truly hope I return. Thanks for the great place!

Wonderful stay at Susan’s cozy house. The house has contemporary design, which appear simple but with a sophisticated touch. Love the atmosphere. The room is flawlessly clean. Breakfast of fresh eggs from their home grown chicken is very tasty. The kids and dog are adorable together. (Friendliest German shepherd I have seen! ) Definitely recommend people to come stay here!!! 😊

The home is right surrounded by trees, next to Puffers Pond with good swimming and great walking trails. Quiet and peaceful. The house was quiet altho there were various other (interesting) guests. Everything was clean and well stocked. Maggie very warm and friendly.

I loved staying in the Blue Room in Athena's home. I felt welcome, safe and cared for. I appreciated the feeling of privacy and rest that the private room provided. The room is exactly as described and as it appears in Athena's photos. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the sunlight in the room is beautiful, the shared bathroom is fine. Parking is no stress, as you just park in back of the house. A restaurant and a good coffee shop are right around the corner, a two-minute walk away and it's an easy 10-minute walk to the main streets of town. Athena is lovely, friendly, positive, relaxed, welcoming, kind. I would stay with her again.

Athena's house is magical! It is just around the corner from Joe's Pizza House, which my son loves to visit. It is a charming house, very comfortable and clean and Athena is the best host. We keep returning to her every time we visit Northampton.

This is a great place. It lives up to the positive reviews it gets. Close to the action in downtown Northampton. Roomy and clean, heating system works great, as does the internet and tv. Clean with fully functioning kitchen. Safe neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay here and would gladly come again.

The house is huge and clean, great value for the price! Their are 3 bedrooms each with it's own door for privacy. The house also includes 2 beds on the 1st floor off the Kitchen & Living room. We only stayed for 1 night because it was a last minute reservation, however, we would love to return and experience the neighborhood when it gets warmer. I'd recommend this place... my dad loved it :-)

This is such an amazing location. The apartment is beautiful and quiet. The bed is amazingly comfortable. These hosts provide special touches I never would have expected. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This entire experience working with and communicating with Roxana and Zach was so simple and fast.

No bells and whistles - just a private and clean space close to Cottage Street in Easthampton. You have off-street parking, your own entrance, private bathroom with shower, and control your own thermostat. Roxana was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, and it felt just right for the price.

Wonderful, lovely space for 1-2 people, very clean! Very comfortable! Extra touches of organic food on the shelves and in the refrigerator. Great location - 10 min. walk to downtown.

We had a wonderful time at Justin’s place. We just stayed for the night, but would’ve loved to stay longer. The place is super cozy and cute, close to all the whole spots in town. Justin also provides quite a few food staples which is very generous we made a nice breakfast, and he gave some great advice. good hikes in the area!

My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our second stop, and we stayed one night. As home renovators, we loved the design and thoughtful features throughout this little apartment. Nice glassware, an assortment of teas, and coffee are available. The host was quick to respond to my messages. The only negative I would say is the incredibly tiny bathroom sink that was virtually unusable. We used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and perform our facial hygiene. Also, there is not a washer and dryer present within the apartment (just an FYI).

Terrific overnight stay at Justin's place. Snug, clean, and simple. A perfect spot from which to launch our ski day.

The space was very cute. I chose it because I liked the loft and it was exactly what I expected it to be. There was local/organic food in the kitchen area, which was a very thoughtful touch. Justin has snowshoes outside which we did not use but I thought was a cute idea. It is walkable to the downtown area. I would return here for another trip.

JuPong's place was a great choice for a quick get-away to the area! She was very friendly and accommodating. The room was private and quiet and the bathroom was right next door to the room. There was also plenty of parking for two cars.

The suite is the only thing on the 2nd floor, so we had a lot of privacy. Raphael and his family were very welcoming and hospitable. We'll definitely stay again the next time we're in town.

This space is perfect for attending umass and Amherst events. I was able to rest comfortably and there is extra space for a fellow traveler with a common area for spending time. I highly recommend travelers check this out!

Absolutely lovely! I have an infinite amount of great things to say. Importantly, location was excellent. Raphael said, "Walk straight down this path and you're at UMass" (and he then gave really easy to follow directions the exact building I was going to). So I left my car in the driveway & it only took perhaps five minutes to walk from Raphael's to the edge of campus and 10 to get to Campus Center. It's about an 8min drive to Whole Foods and some restaurants. The house is very well situated - still being really quiet and feeling very secluded, because his house is on a quiet street with a wall of trees around two sides. The space was a lot bigger than I expected (I said, "Oh this is the bed?" and he said, "Oh no, that's the guest bed, the bedroom is through this door."). And he is, most importantly, SO KIND. I arrived quite late and he greeted me like a long lost friend and insisted on me having dinner, then brought me some watermelon when he cut it for his kids, and he sat and chatted with me for a while. There's tea & coffee in the room as well, and towels provided. I'll certainly stay here again the next time I'm visiting!!

Just wonderful !

Raphael was prompt with communication and very flexible and adaptable to accomodate pir late changes in schedule. The space itself was well thought out and has many homey touches to make the stay even better! We would definitely stay again!

Raphael’s Airbnb was wonderful! My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights and it was perfect for us. The location is close to the Umass campus and the center of town and is also easily accessible to Hadley and the shopping centers. The space was clean and Raphael provided us with everything we needed for the stay. We would definitely stay here again!!

Being our very first experience with Airbnb we weren't sure what to expect from any rental we choose. Elaine's accommodations and laid back hospitality exceeded our expectations and made the whole experience positive. The room and half bath were sparkling clean and private, the bed very comfy, the location and setting peaceful and a perfect location for our purposes. The Montague area is one of the best locales Western MA has to offer - out in the country yet convenient to all surrpunding hotspots. Would highly recommend and certainly return. Be sure to visit the Montague Book Mill (which is right around the corner) !

Elaine was great! She communicated everything clearly and was there if we had any questions. The place was in a nice, quiet location near the Montague Book Mill and the space itself was very private. Would highly recommend!

Elaine is a very sweet host. The place was clean and beautiful. It’s better to get there earlier in the day as it’s a bit tucked away and hard to see in the dark. But the house and room are great and Elaine was very welcoming.

Elaine’s place was great. We spent just one night there with our six month old daughter, but Elaine was friendly, welcoming and attentive. She fosters community between the guests and we shared a nice breakfast with a family from Germany. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Be sure to check out the Book Mill nearby.

Was in the area to visit a school this weekend with my son. Elaine’s place was an excellent choice. Perfect location. Big (a lot more than just “a room in a house”). We stayed in a basement room - almost a bachelor suite! Super clean. Comfy beds. Beautiful property. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the large rural property. And I’d definitely stay there again when we’re back in the area. I highly recommend it. Really - book it quick - before its unavailable. Thank you Elaine! Merci... Jon

Very lovely home in a great location. The room is as described, clean and comfortable. It is in a shared home but still feels very private. However, there were no instructions or information regarding the kitchen so even though it's listed as a shared kitchen I did not feel comfortable to use anything. Would recommend and would return!

I had an excellent stay at Elaine’s place! I didn’t expect it to be as private and comfortable as it was. And her quick responses to my questions was very much appreciated. The house was in a perfect location for a wedding I was attending at the Montague Retreat Center, which was only 1.4 miles away. Would love to stay again!

I am in Amherst several times a year for a weekend workshop. Carolyn and Audley's home always proves for a friendly cozy stay. This time I stayed in the upstairs room on the right which had an extremely comfortable queen bed, coffee maker and small fridge. And of course Audley always gets up early to make coffee and breakfast.

This is a perfect spot close to universities in the area. The hosts communicate well and are a pleasure to talk with. The home and room are sparkling clean, excellent mattress and lovely touches throughout.

Great experience to stay here. I would say the only thing is not perfect is that this App cannot accept reviews come up with pictures to show how the room and the breakfast, provided by the landlord made me feel extremely amazing! Feeling excited and grateful to meet all people in this place.

Perfect host, house very clean, in a very good location

Ava was a kind and attentive host who made sure I had everything I needed during the stay. I was able to checkin early, and Ava dropped me off at the train station after check-out, which I really apprecaited! The room was clean and cozy, and it had really great amenities like a closet, lanndry basket and lotion. The area is beautiful for walks and there is a bus stop nearby that runs to downtown Amherst. I had a great experience and would have loved to stay there longer!

This was a great place to stay. The room was great and clean, and it was very comfy to be in as well. I was greeted by Ava as I came in, and I felt right at home as I entered. Plus having the muffin was a great thing added on. Next time I come up to Amherst, if the room is available I will definitely stay here again

This is a really charming home in a lovely location and I would not hesitate in giving it a high recommendation. The description was very accurate and this space is ideal for someone looking for a room in a private house. The host, Ava, is very warm and accommodating and I felt comfortable sharing her home. It turned out that we have quite a bit in common and even though my stay was a brief one, I felt like I was connecting with an old friend. Parking is easy. It is near a beautiful pond and conveniently located to Amherst and the surrounding Connecticut River valley region.

Very nice place, close to a great breakfast spot (Cushman Market) & a bus into downtown Amherst. It is a little bit of a walk to the bus stop, and there aren't sidewalks on that stretch of road, but I would say it's in a very nice area that's pleasant to walk through. Still might be something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues & rely on public transportation. (Also, when you walk into this room you do need to walk down some steps, which is another thing to keep in mind in terms of accessibility). Overall, I'd say staying here was a very nice experience & I would certainly recommend the place.

Maggie’s place was amazing. I spent two nights writing, reading, relaxing, and swimming nearby. She absolutely knows what she’s doing and created a blissful get away for me. Definitely recommend 10/10!

Maggie is an amazing host who cares about her visitors. She made sure everything was prepared and the Buddha Blue Room is a great stay. The back balcony is so peaceful at night, perfect for a night time tea or early morning coffee. The house sits on a very quiet street in a beautiful rural area which allowed me to get great sleep during my trip.

First time for each of us staying at a room in a house at opposed to selecting an entire place, and we were extremely happy with our experience! Conveniently close to UMass campus and downtown Amherst. Above and beyond hospitality, especially the amazing breakfasts! Friendly hosts, great communication, adorable house with many touches of warmth and ambience (including 4+ fireplaces.) Beds were very comfortable and clean. Slept and ate very well; definitely recommend!

This is more of a B&B experience at AirB&B prices. Carolyn and her husband have created a lovely space with sweet touches (robes, slippers, nice soaps, etc) and a very comfortable bed. In addition, they are very friendly and hospitable, making us feel immediately at home. We highly recommend this place and will be back for future visits!

Fantastic place to stay in Amherst! Beds were so comfy and the house was so warm and inviting, and very clean. The breakfast provided was excellent and the hosts made us feel most welcome. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Another great stay with Carolyn and Audley! You'll be well-taken care of in their lovely home, and made to feel like part of the family. The beds are super comfy and rooms well-lit for bedtime reading. Mini-fridges, water and chocolate in each room, too. C & A's hospitality even extends to multi-course gourmet breakfasts...yum. :) Heartily recommend!

Joseph is a wonderful host. Communications were quick and clear. He met us at the door and welcomed us into his home. The home is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. I can recommend him without hesitation.

I staid at Joseph's house for 6 days, and It was perfect! It is a clean , quiet and comfortable place to stay. Guests have their own bathroom. The room is quiet with good temperature. Bed is super comfortable. There is a refrigerator you can use. Joseph and his wife are very nice and do all possible to keep guests comfortable. The place was easy to find using the GPS. I am glad I chose this place over other places.

Comfortable room, good neighbors

I stayed here for three weeks and commuted to UMass Amherst daily. The area is safe and quiet, and the house is very clean and well kept. It gets a little warm in August, but Tony’s mom left me with a few fans that kept my room nice and comfy. Definitely a good deal compared to more expensive places in the area!

Good neighbourhood and good value accommodation.

This space was a great home away from home. I did a long-term stay for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, quiet, and private, while the common areas allowed an opportunity to socialize with other AirBNBers in the house. Between all of us, a lot of delicious cooking happened in the shared kitchen. There was plenty of space to park my car, and being halfway between Amherst and Northampton made it easy to explore both towns. The room itself was nicely furnished with a big bed, lots of pillows, desk-space, and a great high-backed chair to read Dickens in. Providing candles was a really nice touch. I definitely recommend this space!

We stayed at Tony's house for 2 nights and his Aunt Laurinda checked us in. It was in a safe convenient location and comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Auriza is the sweetest! She let my girlfriend check in late when her plane was delayed, and had toothbrushes waiting for us in the bathroom. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. She keeps the house very clean and homey. Would recommend!
