Places to stay in Leverett
Experience farm life at our secluded permaculture homestead. Cozy, clean and comfortable and just across the street from the animal barn which houses our horses, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and livestock guardian dog (all super friendly and VERY into cuddles). Conveniently located just minutes from Amherst town center (4 miles). A perfect woodland getaway with easy access to the Robert Frost Trail and Metacomet Monadnock Trail.
Our farm is located on a quiet, rural dirt road, surrounded by forest and edged by a babbling brook. Here, my mother and I, as well as a crew of seasonal interns, work to realize a vision for our 13 acres in which the land both provides for our survival needs and is made healthier in the process. You can help support this vision by staying with us! Built in 1812, our farm house is rustic, though well kept. The bedroom itself is separate from the other downstairs living spaces and has a private feel. Our friendly flat coat retriever, Oscar, though an outdoor dog, will greet you as you arrive. Our Border collie, Elka, and Havanese, Pumpkin, spend their nights inside and will happily snuggle you by the fire in the evenings. Clearly, being an animal lover is a must for this farm stay.
We are a 5 min drive from Cushman Market and Cafe. There are also many miles of hiking trails that are accessible through our backyard.
  • Such a lovely place! Relaxing, filled to the brim with interesting books, and home to several very friendly dogs. This homestead is nestled on a quiet backroad and within walking distance to the Robert Frost trail. Zoe and family made me feel welcome, and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

  • Absolutely loved staying here! I unfortunately was sick most of the time, but it was a very peaceful getaway especially since I wasn't feeling well. Couldn't have asked for a better place to have a bit of respite. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the animals were lovely. Would love to come stay again.

Choose from two lovely guest rooms with double beds in a cozy, clean and quiet wooded setting. Enjoy the view and calm from the large front deck, or smaller upper deck. My home is a colorful, living gallery of local artist's work with 1.5 shared bathrooms. Coffee and tea are always available. I work from home frequently, and am happy to answer questions.
This is a family home on a rural dirt road with two hundred beautiful acres of woodland and streams. We are 20 minutes from Amherst, MA. and just minutes from the Montague Bookmill, Peace Pagoda, Montague Retreat Center and Temenos Retreat Center as well as 10 minutes from Quabbin Reservoir trails. There is one affectionate large dog named Darby, and young cat named Spikely to welcome you.
The Village Coop is a mile and half away down the road and has coffee, food and high speed internet and is a wonderful community space. I am also 10 minutes away from the Montague Bookmill which is another local gathering spot with not only wonderful bookstore, but great restaurants with fantastic river view and gift store. Lake Wyola is 10 minutes away for state park swimming and trails in summer. The Montague Retreat Center and Temenos retreat center are within 5 miles, and the Quabbin reservoir is wonder for hiking and wildlife.
  • We had a wonderful stay. Lois was very communicative, kind, helpful in helping us find our way around the area. She has very friendly animals that were a joy to interact with. A super creative house. Clean, comfy warm bed and shower. Great breakfast suggestion at the local co-op and an art exhibit at a local museum. Short and easy drive to Northampton where we love walking around and getting tea. Will definitely plan to stay there again the next time we are heading up north.

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our second stay with Lois was as great as the first, definitely thinking to arrange a third. Her cat Spikely and dog Darby bring lots of playful fun to evening chats. Peaceful place, nice conversation, cozy bed! Lois Lane is the place to be.

  • Lois is a fantastic host. Her home is so interesting and in such a beautiful wooded setting. Our 11 year old loved her dog and cat and we did too! Thank you Lois!

    Robert2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lois has a wonderful out-of-the-way country home in a deeply peaceful setting, full of eclectic charm and fantastic artistic surprises everywhere. Lois is kind and very real, a great conversationalist, and her wonderful dog and cat, Darby and Spikely, will want to be your new best friends. We miss them already. If you want to get away from it all, but still feel like you're in a welcoming home, "Lois Lane" is the place you're looking for.

    Mark2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Lois's place two weeks ago and decided to go back for another overnight. It is a very pleasant and quiet retreat in the woods, and Lois is a great host!

    Diane2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • Everything at Letha's was sparkling clean, comfy and cozy. She even provided us with snacks and water!

    Roberta2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Letha is a great host! The place was sparkling clean and we had everything we needed. Great location for UMass students. Letha always responded promptly with anything we needed or asked for. Would definitely stay here again!

    Matthew2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We are visiting the school nearby. The host, Letha, was super nice. We greeted us when we arrived, introduced us to the room, and exchanged enthusiastic information about the school with us. Her eldest son went to school in Kitanoyama and also offered her son to help share a lot. This landlord feels very warm! The interior of the room is well-equipped, comfortable, and tastefully furnished! If you have the opportunity to study nearby, then come often!

    曦云2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Letha’s place was perfect, it had everything we needed and more! The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotless, and super cozy. Letha was super welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We would stay here again and would recommend here to anyone needing to stay in the area!

    Brooke2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place for us to stay while we helped our daughter move into an apartment for grad school. Letha's place is ideally located within minutes to campus and our daughter's apartment. Letha offered to help us and our daughter with anything we needed . The apartment was clean, nicely arranged with beautiful flowering plants. She included unexpected amenities such as bottled water/coffee/fruit and bagels with cream cheese. A great way to start our day. We definitely plan on returning when we visit our daughter.

  • Exceeded in my expectations. Left as a very happy guest!

  • Letha is an amazing Hostess. I had previously stayed at an airbnb and felt a little out of place and awkward. Not at Letha's house! From the time I checked in I felt like part of the family. Her personal touches made me feel right at home and communicating with her was simple and I always received a fast response! The deal we received for the amount of space and privacy we had was incredible!! I highly recommend booking here during your next stay at an airbnb.

  • The house is in such a beautiful rural location, and yet so close to Amherst. The room was comfortable and perfect for our needs - I was able to work remotely from there at the desk, with WiFi, and the private bathroom was great. Stacey and Deep were lovely and available when needed to answer questions and offer tips. A delightful stay overall!

  • Kind and friendly hosts.... very welcoming and supportive of enjoying the region and providing independence to enjoy at our own pace. Thank you!

  • Lovely quaint place in the woods with the conveniences of Amherst within minutes

    Jennifer2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Deep and Stacey have a lovely old house in the country. Crickets welcome you as you arrive. Checking is very easy. The two rooms are fairly secluded from the rest of the house and have their own private bath accessed through the room with the queen bed. There is lots of light and plenty of windows. A small window air conditioning unit was great to have. Esthetically the house and the rooms are very warmly inviting. Everything is clean. They left great coffee for us to brew and allowed us to use their hot tub. I will remember this stay very fondly!

  • Carol and Erold provide a wonderful space that is clean, bright and comfortable. The beds and pillows are good quality and the appliances are all new and work well. There are plenty of plush towels, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, some cleaning supplies and quality soap (shower, bathroom sink and dish detergent). I particularly enjoyed that eco-friendly products were provided. Additionally, the shower has excellent pressure. Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, teas, some condiments, cooking oil, etc were also available, which was a very nice touch. The communication was easy and fast and Carol made sure to check on how the stay was going after we got settled (through Airbnb website). The location was absolutely perfect too. It was a 7 minute drive into Amherst centre but far enough away to be nice a quite. I would highly recommend a stay at the Bailey’s Apartment.

  • Nice location!

    Mia2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • Look no further...Carol and Erold's place is a great home away from home. The location is located with quick access to Amherst, Northampton, and South Hadley (all within a 10-15 minute drive). The peacefulness, quiet, and amenities were perfect for a weeklong getaway in Western MA. Their airbnb has a full kitchen, great bathroom, two rooms, and a living room space. It was a great stay and I'd definitely return when/if I'm in the area again.

  • Julie is the ultimate host. She welcomes you into her house and makes you feel at home. Her house was clean, warm, beautifully decorated, and cozy. My daughter and I felt like we were visiting an "old" friend. Julie is warm, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, extremely artistic, and just a great person. She will offer suggestions for hiking, dining, and places to visit while you're staying in western Massachusetts if you ask. However, she gives you space if you so desire. She is very adaptable and fluid. If you're considering vacationing in western Massachusetts, I highly recommend Julie's beautiful home tucked away in the woods but easily accessible to many great places. PS If you like dogs, Bodhi (Julie's dog), will bring an instant smile to your face every morning when you see him. His positive energy will lift up your day! Sincerely, Glen Flodstrom

There's an excellent bakery at the end of the street, and it is a short walk to the Shea Theater, bus stops, the Ct. River, bike trail, shopping, world-class concrete skate park, great restaurants and night life, grocery store, bank. Half an hour to the cultural centers of Northampton, Amherst, and Brattleboro, as well as scenic areas along the Mohawk Trail. Ten minutes from Greenfield. If you love a funky, creative and eclectic bohemian environment, you will love it here!
This is an old house and full of art objects and colorful, funky style. It can be a bit drafty in winter. It has high ceilings and plaster walls, so will tend to be dustier than a modern house. Nevertheless, people find it very comfortable, and interesting, to visit here! As far as stays longer than one week, I prefer to meet you first before committing to such an arrangement, unless there are exceptional circumstances which we will work out together in advance. Please contact me with your request.
The Central Street neighborhood is very diverse. It is one block up on the Hill above the downtown. There are triple decker apartment buildings, single family homes of varying vintage from the 1870s to the 1930s, and a headstart preschool in an old school building. In this neighborhood are published authors and poets, experimental musicians, single mothers and children, business people, people with disabilities in group housing, artists, bikers, and all types of people. Generally this is a quiet street and people are friendly. It is very convenient to all of the town, parks, river, bike path and the great new skate park with concrete bowl!

Welcome to our bright, newly renovated suite in the historic Elihu Smith home, built in 1847. Centered on historic South Main Street in Sunderland, we are minutes from UMass, Amherst, Hadley, Deerfield, and located on the local bus route connecting directly to UMass and Amherst. Ideal for stays of any length of time, for business or pleasure during any time of the year. Walking distance to the Millstone market, as well the Bridgeside Café.
Private three-room, 2nd floor suite, consists of bedroom, dining room and bathroom.
Historic neighborhood lined with large-canopy maple and sycamore trees, moments from the "widest tree east of the Mississippi", Sunderland's Buttonball Tree. Moments from Mount Toby walking trails.
  • I loved my weekend stay at at Susan and Mitch's place. Although we didn't meet, I was in contact with Mitch before, during, and after my stay. I found their place clean, quiet, and more spacious than I had anticipated. My flat was nicely renovated, while preserving the feel of the 19th-century house. I slept great on the large and comfortable bed, took nice warm showers, and appreciated the granola and english muffins they left me. Main Street is a quiet, but large, street with many beautiful old homes. Travel by bus to Amherst on the weekend is infrequent but definitely possible from a stop just up the street. In addition, with patience, I was able to get car service to and from Sunderland. I really enjoyed my stay and I truly hope I return. Thanks for the great place!

    Geoffrey2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful stay at Susan’s cozy house. The house has contemporary design, which appear simple but with a sophisticated touch. Love the atmosphere. The room is flawlessly clean. Breakfast of fresh eggs from their home grown chicken is very tasty. The kids and dog are adorable together. (Friendliest German shepherd I have seen! ) Definitely recommend people to come stay here!!! 😊

The Blue Room and shared full bath are upstairs, and guests are welcome to spend time in the kitchen/living room, or explore the house. We are in Ward 3 of Northampton, close to the historic cemetery. A quiet, family-oriented, old-Northampton part of town, about a seven minute walk to the center, and about the same distance to the fairgrounds.

  • I loved staying in the Blue Room in Athena's home. I felt welcome, safe and cared for. I appreciated the feeling of privacy and rest that the private room provided. The room is exactly as described and as it appears in Athena's photos. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the sunlight in the room is beautiful, the shared bathroom is fine. Parking is no stress, as you just park in back of the house. A restaurant and a good coffee shop are right around the corner, a two-minute walk away and it's an easy 10-minute walk to the main streets of town. Athena is lovely, friendly, positive, relaxed, welcoming, kind. I would stay with her again.

    Caroline2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

    1. Tim slept here while convalescing from hip replacement surgery. * The only shower/bath is on second floor with standard 13-step stairway. 2. Our Vizio TV comes with a ROKU so guests are welcome to use their own Netflix or Hulu, etc. or attach their Smartphone to our HDMI cable (you will need your own adaptor). 3. EARLY CHECKIN/LATE CHECKOUT: Keep in mind we are always close to 100% occupancy, which means that there is almost always one or multiple guests (up to 6) before & after you - so often we need the entire 11-4 housekeeping window - message Michelle with your request the evening before if possible (at which point we will have latest info). 4. Thanks & Enjoy!
Finn Street (at King St.) is also steps (heading away from the center of town) from MacDonald's, Taco Bell/KFC, Moe's Stop 'n Shop (large grocery store with a Starbuck's:), Liquor's 44 (large discount liquor store) - with a small package store 50' across the street. We are located in the City of Northampton - so although our home is quieter than our downtown hotels - there is some street noise during busy traffic:) 13 Finn Street is 1/2 mile from the center of America's #1 Small Liberal Arts Town - AKA "Lesbianville, USA" - and now one of America's Top 10 Adventure Towns! COVID update: nearly all Northampton restaurants do offer takeout & delivery - yay!

We only stayed for 1 night because it was a last minute reservation, however, we would love to return and experience the neighborhood when it gets warmer. • No bells and whistles - just a private and clean space close to Cottage Street in Easthampton. You have off-street parking, your own entrance, private bathroom with shower, and control your own thermostat. Roxana was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, and it felt just right for the price.

This is a fully restored 1880 farmhouse five min. from Montague Retreat Center, 20 min. from Amherst and 25 min. to Northampton. Our house has modern amenities: radiant concrete floors, high end appliances/countertops, a steam shower and 7 ft, radiant heated copper bath tub. Lots of light, open spaces, cathedral ceilings and an outdoor playset for kids. The house is set on 3/4 of an acre with lots of beautiful gardens and is located near Montague Center, where there are restaurants and shops.
Our house is a beautiful, restored farmhouse on three quarters of an acre in picturesque Montague, MA. The house has three bedrooms but a lot more sleeping space if guests want to sleep on a trundle, the full size futon in the loft or the sofa bed in the living room. We have had fairly large gatherings here. The house has a lot for kids: a fun loft to play in (attended by an adult) board games, an outdoor wooden play set, lots of toys to be lovingly used, as well as a pack n play crib, an extra baby sling carrier, and a booster seat. The steam shower, big tub (the tub only has a hand shower) and open concept space make it great for adults too.
My house is close to Montague center where there are a couple of restaurants as well as the famous Montague Book Mill. We are close to Turner's Falls and about 20 minutes away from Amherst and Northampton, which are both vibrant college towns with food, shopping and a lot of cultural attractions. We are near the Leverett Peace Pagoda and Mount Sugarloaf. Lots of hiking and outdoor activity to be had around here.
  • We had a great stay at this very clean and well-appointed house. Lots of great spaces to hang out during the day with my family. Recommended!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Amy's beautiful home. It was a truly peaceful space and warm and welcoming, as well. Our kids loved exploring the loft and the special touches of the heated floors was so welcoming in the snowy winter outside. Thank you for the hospitality and moment of peace in a busy winter season!

    Julia2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, spacious and clean. Be aware the only shower is in the master bedroom. But that shower also is a sauna, so bonus!

    Amanda2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly comfortable home with next level charm and features. Calm, serene, airy, bright, thoughtful layout and amenities. Perfect location to visit the five colleges and really close to the iconic montague book mill.

A two level loft apartment walking distance to Shelburne Falls. Private, simple, unique, cute, and efficient. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet with the notable exception of a nearby train intersection. 4-6 times in a given 24 hour period there'll be a loud train whistle. Please see Covid-19 update in "Other things to note..."
This space is most comfortable for one or two people. There is a spare bed which I will set up upon request so that a third person may be added. The Apartment has an open ceiling in the kitchen area and a winding stair leading to the living and sleeping area. The upstairs has three different levels: one exiting to the back deck, one a reading area, and the third level is the television area. (In the event that the memory foam mattress needs to be set up it will be in the TV area of the apartment.) The Queen size bed is on the floor but from the 1st level height it will feel like a normal height bed. Ceilings are low on the 2nd floor...watch your head... Kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, etc.... There are some basic food items like olive oil, butter, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, tea, coffee, cereal/oatmeal, and so on. On the back deck you'll find a small grille and in the tree line I have steel fire ring for an evening fire (wood provided).
Shelburne Falls is a quaint town. There are several restaurants in town and easy access to museums, hiking, mountain biking, etc... There is a laundromat about a 5 minute drive from here and a natural food store the same distance (4 minute drive).
  • Justin was very thoughtful with his communication! He messaged to reassure us that everything would be extra clean amid the Corona virus outbreak. We enjoyed the tips he suggested and I even bought some of the glasses he keeps in the loft from local artists! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Rebecca

  • Wonderful, lovely space for 1-2 people, very clean! Very comfortable! Extra touches of organic food on the shelves and in the refrigerator. Great location - 10 min. walk to downtown.

    Beryl2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Justin’s place. We just stayed for the night, but would’ve loved to stay longer. The place is super cozy and cute, close to all the whole spots in town. Justin also provides quite a few food staples which is very generous we made a nice breakfast, and he gave some great advice. good hikes in the area!

    Kim2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our second stop, and we stayed one night. As home renovators, we loved the design and thoughtful features throughout this little apartment. Nice glassware, an assortment of teas, and coffee are available. The host was quick to respond to my messages. The only negative I would say is the incredibly tiny bathroom sink that was virtually unusable. We used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and perform our facial hygiene. Also, there is not a washer and dryer present within the apartment (just an FYI).

    Cat2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific overnight stay at Justin's place. Snug, clean, and simple. A perfect spot from which to launch our ski day.

    Janel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay!

    Joshua2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very cute. I chose it because I liked the loft and it was exactly what I expected it to be. There was local/organic food in the kitchen area, which was a very thoughtful touch. Justin has snowshoes outside which we did not use but I thought was a cute idea. It is walkable to the downtown area. I would return here for another trip.

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. Justin truly thought of everything: from food and coffee in the kitchen to extra blankets and pillows in the bedroom. Super cozy, comfy place. Thanks Justin!

A large, upstairs bedroom in our beautiful home of warm, welcoming artists and activists. Queen-sized memory foam mattress, comfortable chairs, nice view of wooded backyard. Japanese-style washitsu/meditation room open to guests. We're a 7 min. drive to downtown Amherst, 10 min drive to UMass. Guests can swim in the pond next door, walk the Robert Frost trail, bike to neighboring towns.
This is a very special place, both inside and out. The property is backed by the Robert Frost Trail which leads to the beautiful Amethyst Brook Park less than a mile's walk, and next to a swimming pond maintained by the neighborhood association. Guests can swim in this pond, walk the trails, use my bike to explore bike trails to neighboring towns (Northampton, Easthampton). LIMITED kitchen use is possible. We provide coffee & tea, fruit, granola bars and tell you where to get a wonderful, full breakfast in town. We keep a sustainable household, recycle and compost, and re-use everything we can. We are also committed to anti-racism and gender non-binary values.
Our home is right on the Robert Frost Trail and next to a swimming pond maintained by the neighborhood association. Surrounded by large trees, close enough to town for easy access yet far enough for quiet, peace, and starry nights.
  • The quilt room is spacious and comfortable. The home is in a lovely wooded setting. I visited the nearby Robert Frost Trail and recommend it if you have time.

This is a very quiet and lovely residential neighborhood with family and kids
  • The suite is the only thing on the 2nd floor, so we had a lot of privacy. Raphael and his family were very welcoming and hospitable. We'll definitely stay again the next time we're in town.

    Benjamin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Space was very comfortable and sparkling clean. Raphael was quick to respond and overall a wonderful helpful host. Walking distance to UMass was convenient. Will stay again when in the area. Overall a very good experience.

  • This space is perfect for attending umass and Amherst events. I was able to rest comfortably and there is extra space for a fellow traveler with a common area for spending time. I highly recommend travelers check this out!

    Teawith2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely! I have an infinite amount of great things to say. Importantly, location was excellent. Raphael said, "Walk straight down this path and you're at UMass" (and he then gave really easy to follow directions the exact building I was going to). So I left my car in the driveway & it only took perhaps five minutes to walk from Raphael's to the edge of campus and 10 to get to Campus Center. It's about an 8min drive to Whole Foods and some restaurants. The house is very well situated - still being really quiet and feeling very secluded, because his house is on a quiet street with a wall of trees around two sides. The space was a lot bigger than I expected (I said, "Oh this is the bed?" and he said, "Oh no, that's the guest bed, the bedroom is through this door."). And he is, most importantly, SO KIND. I arrived quite late and he greeted me like a long lost friend and insisted on me having dinner, then brought me some watermelon when he cut it for his kids, and he sat and chatted with me for a while. There's tea & coffee in the room as well, and towels provided. I'll certainly stay here again the next time I'm visiting!!

The location is close to the Umass campus and the center of town and is also easily accessible to Hadley and the shopping centers. The space was clean and Raphael provided us with everything we needed for the stay. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great location has own half bath, fireplace and private entrance. The downstairs is handicap accessable but no shower. There is a microwave and small refrigerator in this room. There is plenty of room for a crib or air mattress.
The house is situated on the Saw Mill river. It is surrounded by woods. We are ten minutes from Umass Amherst and ten minutes from Greenfield. The Montigue BookMill is a great place to have coffee. The Robert Frost trail is up behind the property as well as two major State parks. We are on the National Historic Byway.
  • Being our very first experience with Airbnb we weren't sure what to expect from any rental we choose. Elaine's accommodations and laid back hospitality exceeded our expectations and made the whole experience positive. The room and half bath were sparkling clean and private, the bed very comfy, the location and setting peaceful and a perfect location for our purposes. The Montague area is one of the best locales Western MA has to offer - out in the country yet convenient to all surrpunding hotspots. Would highly recommend and certainly return. Be sure to visit the Montague Book Mill (which is right around the corner) !

  • Elaine was great! She communicated everything clearly and was there if we had any questions. The place was in a nice, quiet location near the Montague Book Mill and the space itself was very private. Would highly recommend!

  • Elaine is a very sweet host. The place was clean and beautiful. It’s better to get there earlier in the day as it’s a bit tucked away and hard to see in the dark. But the house and room are great and Elaine was very welcoming.

    Aishwarya2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine’s place was great. We spent just one night there with our six month old daughter, but Elaine was friendly, welcoming and attentive. She fosters community between the guests and we shared a nice breakfast with a family from Germany. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Be sure to check out the Book Mill nearby.

  • Was in the area to visit a school this weekend with my son. Elaine’s place was an excellent choice. Perfect location. Big (a lot more than just “a room in a house”). We stayed in a basement room - almost a bachelor suite! Super clean. Comfy beds. Beautiful property. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the large rural property. And I’d definitely stay there again when we’re back in the area. I highly recommend it. Really - book it quick - before its unavailable. Thank you Elaine! Merci... Jon

    Jon2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely home in a great location. The room is as described, clean and comfortable. It is in a shared home but still feels very private. However, there were no instructions or information regarding the kitchen so even though it's listed as a shared kitchen I did not feel comfortable to use anything. Would recommend and would return!

    Ally2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had an excellent stay at Elaine’s place! I didn’t expect it to be as private and comfortable as it was. And her quick responses to my questions was very much appreciated. The house was in a perfect location for a wedding I was attending at the Montague Retreat Center, which was only 1.4 miles away. Would love to stay again!

  • I am in Amherst several times a year for a weekend workshop. Carolyn and Audley's home always proves for a friendly cozy stay. This time I stayed in the upstairs room on the right which had an extremely comfortable queen bed, coffee maker and small fridge. And of course Audley always gets up early to make coffee and breakfast.

  • Ava was a kind and attentive host who made sure I had everything I needed during the stay. I was able to checkin early, and Ava dropped me off at the train station after check-out, which I really apprecaited! The room was clean and cozy, and it had really great amenities like a closet, lanndry basket and lotion. The area is beautiful for walks and there is a bus stop nearby that runs to downtown Amherst. I had a great experience and would have loved to stay there longer!

  • This was a great place to stay. The room was great and clean, and it was very comfy to be in as well. I was greeted by Ava as I came in, and I felt right at home as I entered. Plus having the muffin was a great thing added on. Next time I come up to Amherst, if the room is available I will definitely stay here again

  • This is a really charming home in a lovely location and I would not hesitate in giving it a high recommendation. The description was very accurate and this space is ideal for someone looking for a room in a private house. The host, Ava, is very warm and accommodating and I felt comfortable sharing her home. It turned out that we have quite a bit in common and even though my stay was a brief one, I felt like I was connecting with an old friend. Parking is easy. It is near a beautiful pond and conveniently located to Amherst and the surrounding Connecticut River valley region.

The fabulous Puffers Pond and hiking trails are just a three minute walk from the house.
  • Very nice place, close to a great breakfast spot (Cushman Market) & a bus into downtown Amherst. It is a little bit of a walk to the bus stop, and there aren't sidewalks on that stretch of road, but I would say it's in a very nice area that's pleasant to walk through. Still might be something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues & rely on public transportation. (Also, when you walk into this room you do need to walk down some steps, which is another thing to keep in mind in terms of accessibility). Overall, I'd say staying here was a very nice experience & I would certainly recommend the place.

  • This is more of a B&B experience at AirB&B prices. Carolyn and her husband have created a lovely space with sweet touches (robes, slippers, nice soaps, etc) and a very comfortable bed. In addition, they are very friendly and hospitable, making us feel immediately at home. We highly recommend this place and will be back for future visits!

  • Fantastic place to stay in Amherst! Beds were so comfy and the house was so warm and inviting, and very clean. The breakfast provided was excellent and the hosts made us feel most welcome. Will definitely be back for another stay.

  • Another great stay with Carolyn and Audley! You'll be well-taken care of in their lovely home, and made to feel like part of the family. The beds are super comfy and rooms well-lit for bedtime reading. Mini-fridges, water and chocolate in each room, too. C & A's hospitality even extends to multi-course gourmet breakfasts...yum. :) Heartily recommend!

  • I staid at Joseph's house for 6 days, and It was perfect! It is a clean , quiet and comfortable place to stay. Guests have their own bathroom. The room is quiet with good temperature. Bed is super comfortable. There is a refrigerator you can use. Joseph and his wife are very nice and do all possible to keep guests comfortable. The place was easy to find using the GPS. I am glad I chose this place over other places.

  • I stayed here for three weeks and commuted to UMass Amherst daily. The area is safe and quiet, and the house is very clean and well kept. It gets a little warm in August, but Tony’s mom left me with a few fans that kept my room nice and comfy. Definitely a good deal compared to more expensive places in the area!

    Rachel2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Good neighbourhood and good value accommodation.

  • This space was a great home away from home. I did a long-term stay for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, quiet, and private, while the common areas allowed an opportunity to socialize with other AirBNBers in the house. Between all of us, a lot of delicious cooking happened in the shared kitchen. There was plenty of space to park my car, and being halfway between Amherst and Northampton made it easy to explore both towns. The room itself was nicely furnished with a big bed, lots of pillows, desk-space, and a great high-backed chair to read Dickens in. Providing candles was a really nice touch. I definitely recommend this space!

  • We stayed at Tony's house for 2 nights and his Aunt Laurinda checked us in. It was in a safe convenient location and comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Auriza is the sweetest! She let my girlfriend check in late when her plane was delayed, and had toothbrushes waiting for us in the bathroom. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. She keeps the house very clean and homey. Would recommend!
