Places to stay in La Porte
My cabin is 2 miles from Woodleaf and near Soper Wheeler. Located in a private neighborhood with walking trails and a community pool where you’ll find peace and relaxation. Your private bedroom and bathroom is located upstairs. The main floor is shared with me where you’ll find a cozy living room, fully-equipped kitchen and sunny breakfast nook. It’s a quiet place to get away. NOTE: You will lose cell service on your drive once you pass Oroville (avail at home). Printed directions recommended.
Guests have their own bedroom with attached bathroom. There is a stairway when you enter the front door that leads to your room.
Very small mountain town with a few locals who have been raised up here. They know all the best places to hike, swim, boat, and visit. Merry Mountain Village is private and safe with many walking trails. More than half of the owners have this as their vacation home.
  • Karen's place is such a gem! Very large upstairs bedroom with its own bath, comfortable mattress and beddings, lush towels, great views. One also gets access to the downstairs spacious living room and the well equipped kitchen. The house is decorated in good taste, and the neighborhood, very safe, quiet and in the midst of a scenic forest. Karen's hospitality style is welcoming, gracious and attentive, with attention to all the little details that make the difference between genuine hospitality and staying in a hotel. She genuinely cared about me, the good ol' Airbnb style, beyond the typical host-guest transactional relationship. The location is wonderful if one wishes to hike Feather Falls (2nd tallest waterfalls in California) or explore the Gold Country and the Sierras Foothills. I wholeheartedly recommend Karen's place to the Airbnb community.

  • Wonderful peaceful place! Charlie is the cutest dog! Highly recommend!

    Sebastian2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time at Karen's home: chatting with Karen, spending time with Charlie and the cats, getting her tips on local hikes and spots. Her quaint cabin is in a very rural part of Gold Country: aside from One Eyed Jack's and Buck's, there aren't any other restaurants, stores, or amenities around. Perfect for folks who want to spend some time in the woods, exploring local hikes (Sly Creek Reservoir, Feather Falls), and just relaxing. Karen is unbelievably hospitable... hope to keep in touch with her as a new friend.

  • Everything was great at Karens place we are even planning on going in the summer ! It was a nice get away for us and our doggies! Nice little hike from the backyard that leads to a river & Karen also mention the trail by her house that’s a nice walk ! Thank you so much again!🤗

  • We absolutely loved the place. Karen and her daughter are very quick to respond. Love all the notes and instructions available for us. Probably our favorite Airbnb so far in our many travels.

    Sebastian2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful visit to Karen’s Cabin! She was so accommodating, and thoughtful, helping us with whatever we needed to whole time we were there. And even sent us off with Hugs and a Cookie making kit! We highly recommend visiting Karen!

    Kevin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was an excellent host. I had my grandmother and 2 boys with me and she was very accommodating. My boys asked if we can stay at Karen's every time we go to Clipper Mills it's a lovely place.

    Hannah2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s house is full of warmth and Karen herself is a delight and very thoughtful. The room is very large, and she allowed us to take along our 3 kittens which was so kind. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool or see the creek nearby, but this location is about an hour from Nevada City which is full of charm and good eats. Also close to Scott’s Flat Lake which was great for kayaking and swimming!

  • Cute cabin/apartment, very cozy! Heater works AWESOME once it gets going. Great couples getaway

    Steven2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! Cute and charming. Added bonus only wifi in town! Would absolutely recommend this place, and nice that it’s right next to the store.

    Heather2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Casey and Stacia were super nice hosts that provided us with a ton of helpful info. We really enjoyed exploring the location. There was an interesting ghost town we visited and a lot of gorgeous countryside to hike through. Just an FYI we did see a couple of confederate flags hanging around town which might make some people uncomfortable.. Overall however, a great experience and we hope to come back for more exploring.

    Debora2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was great, exactly as advertised and the owners were very responsive. My family and I had a wonderful time and would love to stay at this cabin again

    David2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable room located in downtown La Porte. The room has a private entrance, and is located above the main living area of the hosts. It has wi-fi, which is nice since there is no cell phone service. I would recommend staying here, and would rent again myself.

    Ruth2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Unique experience in a national forest, staying in an antique cabin. The room was clean and had the requirements for a short stay. Casey&Stacia are responsive and provided us with the picture and detailed instructions to get into the room. We enjoyed our stay.

    Sormeh2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was perfect, it was overall an amazing trip! The lake being 3 miles away, the restaurant and general store right next door came in handy! It was a perfect weekend getaway for me, my boyfriend, and our dog!

    Carly2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stacia and Casey were great hosts. Very welcoming, and down to earth. The space is in the same building as where the hosts live (basically the second story of their home), so it was a bit lively at times with their kids running around. The space was very clean and neatly organized and furnished. The location is also great super duper close to the general store, saloon, and the snow / mountains. La Porte is a very small town, and snowmobiling is the main winter activity. We were cross country skiing, and we were afraid it'd be an issue with the snow mobiles. But it was not! The general area / mountain / forest is so large that it's easy to get away from the main snowmobile routes, and into the beautiful wilderness. All in all a great experience, we'd recommend it to anyone!

This is a very quiet secluded area and it's about an hour to Oroville, Grass Valley, or Yuba City. But the drive is beautiful. There are some places to eat in Brownsville as well as a great thrift shop. If you love lakes or hiking theres plenty of lovely places. This is a getaway from the city for sure. The neighbors are not here year round except for a few and theres a toboggan run and community pool per season. Lots to explore or just have a peaceful time in the forest.

  • La Porte is an amazing mountain town. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to cut the ties of the busy everyday life and slow down. Cabin #3 was exactly as described, quaint, clean and with internet and TV. It was the perfect spot to base our exploration trip of the area from. We look forward to getting back to home base each night. Thanks Casey and Stacia for having such a place for us to escape to. Until next time!

Drift House is two one bedroom levels that can be rented separately to sleep 4 or together to sleep up to 8. Each level has a private entrance, full kitchen, bath, bedroom, living room and private porch overlooking the Downie River.
Drift House is situated at the top of a lot overlooking the beautiful Downie River and public access for swimming and fishing is a short 5 minute walk away. You've got an 8 minute walk to the center of downtown and about a 2 minute ride to the shuttle pick up from the front door. The house is newly remodeled to accommodate vacationers who love the outdoors.
Downieville is an incredible place to spend some down time. The town is built around the Downie and Yuba Rivers and the hiking, fishing and mountain biking are world class. Drift House is in downtown and located on a third of an acre with a gorgeous view of river and forest so you get the best of both worlds.
  • We needed a restful getaway from Tahoe and this spot was just perfect. We really enjoyed the record player and creative furnishings- nice use of vintage kitchenware and it had a classy cool feeling. Loved the sound of the river from the porch. Thanks again!

  • Chelsea’s place is awesome. We love sitting on the balcony and looking at the river, town, and hills! Awesome jump-off place for day trips to the Buttes, too!

  • I hate to share this amazing secret, but I can’t hold back my enthusiasm for the Upper Drift House and it’s host Chelsea. She is thoughtful and kind. Offering us a room in Loyalton at her Inn if the Yuba Pass was not passable. We made it to Downieville and were so glad we did. Everything was perfect. Already planning our next trip.

This is our personal cabin that is nestled at the edge of town on a quiet street. It is truly a Log Cabin built the 1950s with the logs on the exterior being the same logs on the interior. It is 1,200 sq. ft. of charming comfort.
In the great room is the kitchen, dining table and living room with a queen futon, rocking chair and recliner. Dish TV with DVDs, VHS are available along with books and games for kids and adults. There's a charcoal BBQ off the back porch, with all supplies needed - except for the food. An outdoor sitting area with table chairs and umbrella are also provided. The porch wraps around to a front sitting area with a calming and peaceful view down to Circle Drive, a small, seasonal stream and over to the next hill. Enjoy!
The Sierra Nevada mountains offer a quiet backdrop to our small town of La Porte with a General Store and Museum.
  • Luci’s cabin was the perfect fit for us! We were in town for a wedding at The Union town and fell in love with La Porta. The cabin was cleaning and Luci was very nice and we would come back anytime!

    Ty2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and you will not be disappointed. The night time star gazing experience was one of a kind especially through the trees!!

    Pradyumna2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Luci was an amazing host! She has anticipated every need and the cabin has lots of extra amenities and goodies available to use! The cabin was lovely for my friends, doggies, and I to get out of our routine in the city and unplug at the cabin. There isn't any service at the cabin, however she does have wifi available to use in less than a 5 minute walk away on Main St. I was able to still feel like I was unplugged while being able to walk down the street and get a few quick deadline work items completed using the Wifi before unplugging again - that was comforting! LaPorte and Little Grass Valley Reservoir were both beautiful and felt secluded even though there were other weekend visitors around. We will definitely come back to visit. It was a amazing retreat for the weekend. Thank you Luci, we hope to see you again!

    Mikaila2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time and experience in La Porte, thanks to Luci!!! She had absolutely everything taken care of....too many extras to mention, what a considerate host. I just wish I could rate higher than 5 stars!!! If you love privacy, outdoors, quiet, peaceful, and don't want to rough it too much.........this is definitely your place! I like to use Air BNB's and normally bring my own towels n sheets, LOL......i didn't feel the need to use mine! This place is very clean and well kept...the perfect little eclectic cabin in the mountains. Safe town, with the best little general store, the owners were friendly and helpful with tons of useful information. They make a mean sandwich, to boot!!! The reservoir was so nice and only 5-10min away. Caught some nice trout on a simple trout rig off the shore with power bait. My only regret......not bringing my dog. Dog friendly home!!! I will be back Luci, thanks!!!!

    Brigg2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very quiet, a great place to relax. It has a lot of room for everyone (we had 3 people). There are many board games and movies provided as there is no wifi or phone service in the place. The host was very friendly and loved our pets. She showed us a local swimming hole and told us about the town. Also, all the local people are very friendly and helpful.

    Agne2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cozy cabin tucked back in the woods. Very quiet and lots of yard for children to play. The cabin has a home phone which is convenient because your about 1.5 hours away from cell service ! Cabin is located conveniently close to town and the lake ! The town is very small and cute a fun little restaurant/ bar and a small convenience store. The lake is breathtaking and not crowded at all. I would come back again !

What a discovery! Here's a beautiful rustic river cabin (the Tin Cup Hilton) that commands a view of the surrounding tree studded mountains, with the big, beautiful Downie River running smack dab through the middle of it. Listen to the river while you dine, sleep, and live life. Enjoy the wildlife---deer, bear, river fowl, and the occasional otter or two frolicking in the stream. Hike, bike, swim, kayak, fish, or try your hand at gold panning. The river is your backyard. Celebrate life.
Our Tin Cup Hilton affords a magnificent view of the river
cabin sits on a private drive overlooking the river It is very private and very quiet
  • Very cozy cabin by the river!

    Thomas2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Tin Cup Hilton! It is a rustic cabin in the sense that there isn't any telephone, internet, or cell phone signal, but that can be a welcome situation many times. The cabin provides delightful accommodations, and the setting on the river couldn't be prettier. We hope to be back!

    Cary2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Les' cabin is wonderful and it's conveniently walking distance from Downtown and the trail heads. We enjoyed a spectacular weekend mountain biking hard, and the cabin was perfect to recover, enjoy warm food and drinks between rides. We can't wait to be back!

    Kevin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice spot right on the river, and you can't beat soothing sounds of the river. The A-frame construction really takes you back in time - perfect for really getting away from it all.

    Doug2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cute rustic cabin with lots of charm! Les was a wonderful host, we had all we needed and enjoyed the river and front porch picnic spot. Thank you!

    Devona2019-09-22T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful location by the river - swimming, fishing and shooting the rapids all within 5 meters of the front porch. The cabin itself is rustic but everything works well. Be sure to pack your own bedding, however!

The Rabbit Creek Inn is a new business in this spacious building located in a historic Gold Mining town nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains approx. 75 mi. from Marysville and 45 mi. from Oroville. Previously the Rabbit Creek "Deli", we purchased this business to preserve the "rich" heritage hidden within the structure and provide a comfy rest area to visitors of this little community. We are continuing with remodeling and upgrading to provide the best possible experiences for our guests!
The second story has 3 studios with kitchenettes, private bathrooms and upgraded furnishings appropriate to each private space. Amenities in each room also includes a Smart TV with Dish and Wi-Fi, a large microwave, countertop oven, toaster, coffee pot and supplies, a 15 cu ft. refrigerator/freezer and all the kitchen essentials. Upgraded bed and bath linens will satisfy even the most discerning visitor. Ample lighting, USB ports and power strips will satisfy all your electronic needs.
La Porte area and Little Grass Valley Lake (reservoir - 3 miles down the road) offers visitors and "locals" alike, a multitude of outdoor spaces for your boating, fishing, kayaking, jet-skiing, hiking, biking, horseback-riding, OHV, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling equipment. We had a local pub, Reilly's but it is closed at present. Our General Store (open seasonally 7 days) has a great Deli-style hot foods and sandwiches, as well as supplies for all the necessities of daily living. The Museum (open weekends) is next door and offers a glimpse of what life was in the 1850's. Finally, downstairs, protected inside the building, is the original, circa 1850's "Bank of La Porte" vault, complete with working double doors (but locks have been -safely - disabled). Definitely a treat for visitors! Finally, we even have a stretch of the PCT (Pacific Coast Trail) within a few miles of La Porte.

  • The place was spacious, sparkling clean, very conveniently located, and literally everywhere you look there is a cool decorator touch. Chelsea is very pleasant to communicate with and graciously accommodated our need to store some gear after checkout time.

Beautiful classic Victorian home literally seconds from historic downtown Downieville. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, relaxing, are some of the reasons why you will love your visit to our home in the paradise known as Downieville, California.
Newly renovated Victorian cottage, set in the heart of Downieville. Nestled between 2 rivers, the cottage offers a relaxing retreat. Swim, bike, fish, walk or simply watch the world go by in this Sierra goldmine town, surrounded by nature. In the evening relax with high speed WiFi and a 47” HD TV equipped with live TV (50+ channels via YouTube TV), Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. More information The space Our family loves our cottage. In the winter there's nothing like snuggling up and sitting around the fire playing board games. In the summer it's all about the outdoors. Sit on the porch and watch the world go by, explore the Sierra's all around you, or be adventurous like us and try out the famous downhill mountain bike rides. We have ridden mountain bikes in places like Whistler, Jackson Hole, Moab, and Santa Cruz and there is nothing quite like Downieville. The trails here are truly world class and a bucket list experience for any mountain biker.
The town of Downieville is adorably sleepy during most of the year, known to some as a mountain biking mecca and known to others as a charming retreat to get away from the rest of the world. Enjoy a stroll through town while stopping to chat with friendly locals, take a dip in one of the many local swimming holes or picturesque lakes, hike a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail, or take a shuttle up to the mountain biking trails if you are in need of an adrenaline rush.

    Taylor2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great. With many hiking trails and cute town. I am an airbnb superhost. I found it ridiculous that we was required to take our shoes off in the house. But the floors were really hairy and dirty. Only one door key was also ridiculous for 4+ guests. And when the front door shuts it locks automatically. House rules said strip the beds and launder . No way. Paying a huge cleaning fee for one night and stripping beds?. The beds were very very very squeaky. You could here every move the upstairs sleeper made from bottom bedroom. It sounded like a dog barking. Nighttime I could smell the septic tank through the upstairs closed window. There is blue painters tape on the bathroom window. And a candle stick for a prop. I felt as though we were expected not to use water. Or heat. Or dishwasher. And take really quick showers. The owners didn't make us feel comfortable with all the notes and possible fines accessed for leaving heater on. To threats of septic tank overfilling. So much misrepresentation.

Come for fun and stay for comfort. Our house has been lovingly decorated with comfortable amenities. House is situated on a 4.5 acre with the sound of river below. Main house has 3 bedrooms, a library, 2 full bath, large kitchen with separate dining area. Living room is large with wood burning fireplace. In the guest house, above the garage is a separate suite w/queen size bed and en suite bathroom. Two car garage and large storage area for your toys. Pets welcome at additional $50.
  • This is the sixth time I've rented Sun and Mark's house and I'm quite confident it's an awesome option for your D-Ville stay. The kitchen is well equipped to handle nearly any meal and with a great floorplan and with multiple bedrooms it works well for groups of friends, family, and/or couples to enjoy everything the town has to offer. The garage is sizable with plenty of room for bikes and gear and with it being so close to the bottom of 1st Divide trail it's centrally located for everyone to hang out, close enough to town to walk, or ride to the Shuttles. The heater works great as does the washer and dryer and all other appliances and there's a new 6 burner BBQ on the deck this year too!

    Jason2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We rented the house for guys mountain biking weekend and everyone loved it. Humorously, what the guys liked most was the garage, with a large workbench room for bike maintenance and another room for bike storage, plus a 2 car garage and lots of extra driveway space for parking cars.

The beds are all very comfortable, the house was very clean, and there was ample space for our family of four, grandma, an aunt and uncle and our yellow lab for a four day stay. We will be back!

Privacy with a view, and proximity to downtown. Located on the hillside just above town square. Visitors can see what is going on in town and yet remain above it all in a private setting. There is plenty of covered parking. The cabin is just steps away from downtown businesses, and access to the river. Let’s face it, Downieville is not big.
As the name implies, our cabin’s decor is rustic and woodsy, with lots of pine cones, and images of bears. We have provided a cloths washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and serving meals. It is set up to be home away from home.
Our guests love how close we are to everything in town, yet how private the house is.
  • Cute cabin in DV with lots of charm and space for our MTB group to relax after a long day on the trails. We will be back!

Right on Main Street , this spacious, remodeled loft occupies the top two stories of the building and has spectacular river side and mountain views. The bottom floor is home to Yuba Expeditions, host to the Downieville Classic and where mountain bikers catch the shuttle for the Downieville Downhill.
Originally built in 1867, the "Weaver" building, as it is known in the county, was completely remodeled in 2005. The third story, originally storage for the store, was remodeled into rental loft accommodations complete with hand made furniture and trim salvaged from Kezar stadium bleachers in San Francisco. The loft sleeps up to eight guests in three queen size beds and three trundle beds in a loft style space -- not great for romantic couples but GREAT for large groups of friends or bike buddies.
  • Third time our mountain biking crew has stayed here. It is perfect for a group of bikers. Location can't be beat, super-comfortable cabin, cool sound system, good beds and showers, sunny vibe. Can't see staying anywhere else.

Riverfront house perfectly located in Downieville. This home features 4 spacious bedrooms with 3 private full baths. The modern kitchen, a chefs delight, has a sunroom overlooking the river. Enjoy the beautiful fenced-in yard with a wonderful shaded porch with a gas BBQ for outside entertaining. A private room with air hockey/ping pong along with another cable TV is always a fun area. Enjoy the evening stars with the fire pit in the front yard.
It's great being able to easily walk to downtown in less than 2 minutes! Having a private garage is convenient, along with street level access for unloading/loading your vehicle. Sitting on the lower deck for BBQs or just relaxing while watching and hearing the river never gets old.
This street is in a quiet neighborhood.

  • Words can’t explain how amazingly relaxing my stay was at Chelsea’s drift house. The atmosphere was on point so relaxing, the small town has such a beautiful history, and this small town does a great job telling you it’s story. The drift house is amazingly decorated with the perfect touch’s from the inside out. The hammock on the back porch over seeing the beauty of Mother Nature. The drift house has everything you could possibly need to just get away, relax, and relief stress. If I could give Chelsea 10 stars I would. I cannot wait to visit the drift house again.

    Tia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Lower Driftwood apartment is exactly as pictured -- actually better. It's in a beautiful river canyon and from the dining room is a lovely mountain view. We had a great few days there and were so impressed by all the special touches that Chelsea had thought of: flannel sheets to keep us warm, great books on the shelves, stocked kitchen with good knives, pots, coffee, basics like oil and vinegar, and fun dishes. We did a couple of fun snowshoe hikes up 49 toward the Yuba Summit -- great spot!

    Don2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Was in here with 3 other buddies to shuttle the downieville downhill. We had one on the futon, 1 in the queen, and the other two found spaces in living room and bed room to set up pads. Did not feel cramped during hangout times and meal times. Porch was really great. Overall really clean and stylish space, exceeded my expectations. One word tip / word of caution: we had a family with kids staying upstairs and the kids were creating a lot of echoey thumpy noises. If you're in the lower and someone is renting the other, bring earplugs.

    Chase2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house at an ideal location. I was worried about parking from the description, but not at all, parking is super convenient. Rented lower drift house, and it was clean, charming, and ultra relaxing. Everything was spotless, and the available amenities very useful. Chelsea always answered our questions fast (via WhatsApp on wifi), and was always ready to help at a moment's notice. We had zero issues and cannot recommend the place highly enough.

Cute Downieville house located directly on the river with easy river access from the backyard. Quick 1 minute walk to the restaurants, shops, market, bars and swimming holes. Easy access to world class mountain biking, kayaking, and skiing.
Sunny outdoor deck overlooking the river. Quick and easy river access from back of the house.

  • The view from the deck of this home is gorgeous and the river can be heard from every room in the home. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with all cooking supplies we needed and the beds were all made up comfortably for our family. The location of this house is great- very close to town, yet private and on the river. Not good for those with difficulty on stairs though- we actually enjoyed the workout we got from all of the stairs! Ha! We very much enjoyed our week and recommend this rental to anyone wanting to have a relaxing time in Downieville!

    Amy2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect Downieville location, right on the Downie river. The house is very cute and we there is plenty of room (I visited with 4 of my grown children), each had there own bed. The house has high speed internet and direct tv. Downtown is walking distance, there is a store and a couple restaurants , note that most restaurants seem to be closed in winter, only Jadaa's kitchen was open for lunch on Saturday, not sure about dinner time. Even though there was no snow in Downieville (3000 feet), there was plenty of snow higher up the 49 ( near Bassets), we found some nice slopes to do some sledding and have fun in the snow. The North Yuba is also one of the few rivers in California where you can fish for trout during the winter.

    Dirk2018-12-30T00:00:00Z

Hike, bike, run, read, swim or just sit on the porch and watch the world go by. Our home offers guests a relaxing place to stay, in town, with lots of parking and a basement/shop to work on bikes, if necessary. Built in 1938, after the 1937 flood, the Mauna (Mountain) House is a classic 1930s home. Nothing fancy, just a great solid house that makes it easy for you to enjoy your stay in Downieville. The Mauna House is not suitable for children.
  • This house is a great place to stay l in the heart of Downieville. It has everything you need to make your life easier, including little things like beach towels, a solid first aid kit, good knives, plastic baggies, and salt and pepper. You almost don’t need to pack a thing! The host is amazing - called to check in on how we were doing and when we mentioned it would be nice to have another hard surface to play games, a card table magically appeared on the doorstep! They definitely pay attention to their guests’ individual needs. We will definitely try to stay here again.

    Kelly2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and two young children stayed at April's place for a weekend of mountain biking in June and it was fabulous. The house is simple, but very comfortable and has everything you could need. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and had all of the essentials -- salt, pepper, olive oil. As a coffee drinker, I was pleased that they had multiple coffee making devices, including a nespresso machine if you want to splurge with an espresso. if you are coming for a bike trip, the basement is setup for storing and working on your bikes. The best part of the house is the location. Situated just a block from the heart of town, you can walk to all of the restaurants, shops, and the small beach on the river. With two small kids, it was amazing to be able to be so close to everything we needed. We hope to go back sometime soon!
