Places to stay in Goshen
Surrounded by National Forest on the property of Blueberry Hill Inn and Blueberry Outdoor Center. The "castle" is a large timber frame house in a beautiful remote setting. With trails to walk just outside the door, reliable high-speed internet it is a wonderful place to shelter in place. Update: The state of Vermont has just placed restrictions on short term bookings. Call at Blueberry Hill Inn with questions. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
House sits just above a pond. Wood-fired sauna may be available for a fee. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and sledding just outside the door!
Remote, surrounded by national forest. view of mountains and our pond. The pond is swimmable. We provide trail maps and tips for the area. Breakfast and dinner may be available at the inn with advanced notice
  • The house is lovely: spacious, open, light, and very comfortable. The setting is perfect; it is private with trails for skiing and snowshoeing right out the front door. We booked for a ski/work holiday and were particularly pleased to find a great network of trails for all levels as well as wifi for work. The house was very clean and well-kept. Beds were wonderfully comfortable and we loved the spring fed tap water. Shari was quick to answer any questions prior to arrival and was, in my opinion, the perfect host. I can’t think of anything that would have made the trip better. We hope to book again in warmer weather for hiking and biking. It was that special.

  • Great space 6 of us really enjoyed. Secluded but also not that far from the mountains which was what we wanted. Shari was also very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

    Michael2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Shari's place was perfect for our friends weekend! It was ideal for our group of 12! All of the living spaces were large so we were able to cook, eat, and hang out together. We would definitely stay there again!

  • The Great House at the Blueberry Hill Inn is a wonderful space well suited for families and medium to large groups. The kitchen is excellent with an easy to use layout for preparing meals. The dining area and living room are cozy and welcoming. The upstairs layout is nice as well with comfortable beds and good space for privacy. The surrounding area is great for hiking biking and cross country skiing. We had a little warm weather and had a pretty hike around Hogback mountain with good views of the Greens. We can’t wait to come back again.

    Anne2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Shari’s space is just as described! It’s clean and has beautiful views and access to trails. There are a ton of beds, so it’s a great spot to visit with friends. All around a great experience.

    Jackie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is large, open and set up on a hill for privacy. We loved the quiet of the area, the beauty of the forest, easy access to hiking and mountain biking right out the door, and jumping in the pond in the afternoon. Shari and Tony are very welcoming and have lots of local tips to share.

    Kathryn2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house is just as beautiful as in the pictures. Very spacious, lots of beds, roomy and comfortable for a big group of people. The location is great if you’re looking to for a quiet spot in the mountains. Perfect for hiking, mountain biking, trail running, swimming in lakes... Cellphone network is very weak in the area but there is wifi in the house. Communicating with Shari before our arrival was very easy. She is very friendly and answers quickly. Memorable moments in the house include: enjoying a morning coffee with a view, painfully going up the stairs to our bedrooms after a day of running 36 miles in the mountains and the friendly little spiders... on my bed and in my friend’s hat!

A perfect place to base your gravel bike tour, BC ski tour on the Catamount Trail, hike The Long Trail, white water kayak on the East Middlebury River or simply relax in one of the many swimming holes. 5 min drive( 20 min ski) to Rikert Touring Center, 10 min drive to The MIddlebury SnowBowl.

There is an outhouse with a compostable toilet tucked away in the woods. In the summer, swimming holes are plenty and perfect to refresh after an adventure. The hut is heated by an electric stove, however on sunny days the hut warms up quickly by passive solar. There is an air conditioner for the hot summer months, if needed. There is a small kitchenette with water boiler and camp stove. We provide coffee and tea, french press, can and wine openers, utensils and dishes. There is no refrigeration in the winter. Set on rolling meadows near Green Mountain national forest, this home is renovated with a country feeling and offers a private relaxing spot for your get away. Large open kitchen, dining room, living room and four bedrooms. Near many amenities.
While 200 years old, this solid original farmhouse is warm and comfortable yet nature is right outside the doors. Hike, ski, sled, etc right on the property.
Very quiet, best star watching on earth, freshest water and air, beautiful scenery, relaxation.
  • Leslies place was perfect for our family and location near rikert nordic center.

    Willie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have dreamt up a better place than Leslie's lovely home. Upon driving up to the house, we realized we were in for such a special treat. Once we got inside, we immediately felt like home. Leslie and Monique were very quick to respond to any questions we had, but we didn't have many because there was a binder there that explained everything we needed to know along with local treasures we should find. We are already daydreaming of our next visit to Goshen, Vermont. We want to make it a yearly tradition!

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful and charming country home. Warm and inviting, excellent private location yet easy to get to. Very relaxing home to get away and enjoy the country.

  • Nice old house, but warm. Went for a last second ski trip with a couple of friends and it worked out great. No cell service but the WiFi worked great and we were fine. Great value.

  • I stayed here with the team I coach while we were in town for a tournament at Middlebury. The house was spacious, had everything we needed, and was easy to get to. We'll hopefully be staying here again on our next trip to the area!

  • Beautiful spot and lovely home!

    Kate2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is wonderful and charming country home, perfect for a family or two to spend time together in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Everything was just as advertised, and we had a wonderful stay. The off-the-beaten-path location adds to the charm, but it’s the general store is just up the road if you need your morning cup of coffee and the local scuttlebutt. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house in the woods. A romantic getaway for two or a fun family vacation. Far from the hustle and bustle, but great for fall leaf peeping. Plenty of DVDs and VHS tapes to watch on snowy nights, or just light the fire and relax after a day on the slopes. Coffee and assorted teas available. You can use the kitchen to cook gourmet meals or just microwave frozen dinners.
10 miles to Blueberry Lake x-country 13 miles to Snow Bowl 15 miles to Rikert Nordic Center 16 miles to Sugarbush 22 miles to Mad River Glen 27 miles to Middlebury College 30 miles to Killington 58 miles to Burlington, Vermont (nearest airport)
  • Mark's house is utterly charming, particularly if you enjoy remote locations. Be prepared to drive some narrow and bumpy roads and cell phone reception is spotty at best. But if you want to get away from it all, this is a wonderful option.

    Joanne2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We haven't had a chance to meet Mark in person, but check-in was smooth and the house was awesome! Real hidden gem in Vermont mountains. We will definitely stay there again in the future if happen to be in the area. Highly recommended.

    Jurij2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot, very secluded and overall a well kept clean place to stay. My friends and I had a great time skiing in the area and we’re more then pleased with the place. Had great reception the entire time and found the place with no problem at all. We will definitely be back again to stay!

  • Great cabin 30 minutes from sugarbush. Nice and cozy lounge with a fireplace. Clean and tidy.

  • Great place to stay! A little secluded so if that's what you're looking for then it's perfect. Well decorated, clean, and homey.

  • Awesome place. Would definitely recommend and come again if I could guarantee fresh powder on the mountain

  • Great place to stay if you’re looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle of staying at the nearby ski resorts.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful week at Marks. As others stated, the place is much bigger than what appears in pictures. Mark was very prompt to answer all our questions. The property is described accurately in the description. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

The village of Rochester features great eateries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a bakery, a lovely public library, art gallery, antique store, a great playground at the elementary school, swimming holes, yoga studio, and more, and it is within driving distance of larger towns like Rutland and Killington, Middlebury, Waitsfield and Warren, and West Lebanon NH for day trips. PYO organic berries at Sunshine Berry farm in town, tubing in the White River, biking and hiking close to home are all part of the community offering.
  • Staying at Gloria’s cabin was beyond what I expected in so many perfect ways. The morning sun rises we’re mind blowing! Definitely worth getting up for. I was looking for a place to work and have quite reflection. And it provided that and so much more.

    Ken2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful and charming place. Lots of open space. Great access to very nice trails. Excellent views. Lots of friendly wildlife (deer, butterflies, warblers). Gloria was a friendly and respectful host. Truly a fantastic little corner of paradise in Vermont!

    Sébastien2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a magical place, we loved everything about it- the cozy cabin, amenities, location, nature, night stars..Highly recommended!

    Patsy2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a cabin and a fire pit, but ended up with so much more. Gloria’s farm is expansive undulate with wonderful nooks in nature, surrounded by mountains. Then you walk into one of the trails and there’s so much more! Days are too short to just wonder around, nights are too short to watch the fire and stars. We enjoyed so much that we extended our stay (so sad to have to leave eventually)!

    Ming & Shawn2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect weekend getaway on a stunning piece of land. Hikes right out of the cabin, swimming all day, sauna in the evening, garden bounty, friendly neighbors, grassy meadows, and a cozy cabin with all that you need and nothing more. Our stay here was exceptional and we will be back soon.

    Caty2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, hospitality and property. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

    Chris2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about this property. My favorite was the fact that it is surrounded by absolutely gorgeous hiking trails RIGHT ON the property. I spent my days mostly up in meadows with my dog just taking in the beauty of the season, flowers in bloom, ferns galore, and trees, trees, trees!! (Do bring bug spray.) At night, the fields all around the cabin were full of fireflies and it was so magickal to just sit and watch them and listen to the sounds of the night (frogs, bugs and night birds.) The outdoor shower was lovely. The cabin was perfect. The bed was super cozy. The recliner chair was sublime. In town just a few mins away was a good market (Macs) and a couple cute little stores. Just all around amazing. Gloria was kind and down to earth who made me feel comfortable and happy to be there. I would live there if I could!

    Stephanie2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • A bucolic paradise where one can fully connect with nature in quiet simplicity. You'll be surrounded by the calls of birds and frogs while enjoying views of green fields and mountain tops, along with occasional frolicking horses. All necessary comforts are provided for and the sauna is a real treat. I loved the outdoor shower too. Come here for a personal retreat or with a special friend to feel renewed and centered. Do bring bug repellent to fully enjoy the outdoors as this time of year is buggy.

Luxurious bohemian style overlooking one of the most epic views in the Green Mountains. Surrounded by 25,000 acres of National Forest and complete seclusion, yet just a short ride from several towns.
Spacious, immaculate, modern home with rustic beams and gorgeous wood floors. Each of the three bedrooms (and baths!) have a wonderful view. The master bedroom is massive and has sweeping views out over the Battell Wilderness and the Long Trail. The front of the cottage is a wall of windows overlooking a beautiful pond and the Green Mountain National Forest. All beds are Tuft & Needle mattresses, with nice sheets and large pillows. The main level has radiant heat in the floors, and there are radiators throughout the house in addition to the Woodstock catalytic wood stove. I supply kiln dried firewood. I have checkers and chess and more games coming soon. There is an Amazon Fire TV - please bring your own account info if you want to access Prime, Netflix, etc.
No light pollution. No noise except for the tree frogs and the sound of the White River rushing over the rocks far below in the hollow. Breadloaf Mountain Cottage is at the top of a ridge that runs parallel to scenic Route 100. It sits at about 1600 feet above sea level. While completely secluded, it is just a 5 minute drive to the Granville Store, and just a few minutes more to Hancock, Rochester and Warren. You could spend weeks just exploring the hiking, biking, swimming and fishing opportunities right from the property! Breadloaf Mountain Cottage is located on Forest Road 55, just off scenic Route 100. While it is easily accessible year round, a 4X4 or AWD vehicle is recommended in snow and mud.
  • I’m glad we choose this place for our first time in Vermont, we had a lot of fun and ate a lot of great food close by.

    Michelle2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing stay at Breadloaf Cottage! The cabin has the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern amenities. The interior is well-appointed. We especially enjoyed reading and relaxing by the wood stove. The views from the property are stunning with stars shining through the skylight in the evening. As others have mentioned, the property is fairly remote - four-wheel drive and stocking up on provisions is recommended. We will definitely be back!

    Rob2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and cozy with a spectacular view!

    Dominic2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • William's place is really lovely. The views are incredible and the home inside is very comfortable and cozy, even in very chilly weather. The mattresses were great and the walks around Green Mtn National Forest lands were really breathtaking.

    Rachel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Will is extremely great responding quickly to any questions or concerns that you may have about his home. The kitchen has everything you may need as far as pots, pans, plates, and utensils to make all your meals at home! If traveling here in the winter he is absolutely correct that you should have a vehicle with all wheel drive. But once up at the top of the mountain the house has beautiful views! We packed our snow shoes and explored the mountain/property! The house is about 20 minutes from Sugarbush which made it very convenient for skiing. Not too many establishments within 30 minutes to buy provisions. We looked up the location ahead of time and saw how remote it was and brought/packed all the food and supplies we would need ahead of time which worked out perfect. He has a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

    Ashley2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • William’s property is beautiful, I highly recommend everyone who wants a beautiful quiet place to kickback and relax to contact him. I stayed in the lower house in October and loved it. My son just came back from spending a few nights in the upper house, and loved it so much he didn’t want to leave. Again, I highly recommend staying here.

    Rebecca2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • William is a great host and quick to respond if you have any questions or problems! Easy check in. The house is very clean and the views are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend a 4WD or AWD car to get there in snow. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend staying here :)

    Cindy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, outstanding views, comfortable and cozy home. We got fresh snow on a couple of days and made full use of the immediate vicinity by going snowshoeing and sledding. Our kids had a blast and we would love to return. One word of caution. The driveway leading up to the Airbnb can be slippery, especially when there’s freezing rain or the snow hasn’t been fully cleared and the snow has turned into an icy pack. We had 4 wheel drives and yet weren’t able to navigate up the slope on one of the nights. We ended up leaving the car at the bottom of the driveway and walking up and down as needed. Willem was very helpful during this time and offered us advice on how to handle the slippery conditions. That said, you can’t go wrong with this Airbnb. Its one of the best places we have stayed at and would love to visit again.

  • We travel to Vermont nearly every summer, and usually book a lakefront rental. This was hands down, the absolute best experience ever. The owners provide a wonderful range of lakefront amenities in a house that is very nice, in a spectacular setting. Everything is as promised, with many nice small touches. We could not give a higher recommendation! Thank you Joe & Mary.

This is a cozy, easy-living, warm weather cabin of 2BR/1BA. There is room to sleep 5 or 6 comfortably and an open LR/kitchen area. A screened, wrap around porch adds protected space, adding to the dining area and surrounded by woods. Your own picnic table, BBQ grill and fire pit round out the cabin. Take a short stroll to clean, inviting Lake Dunmore to find docks, a float and the occasional kayak for use. Our community recreation center, play area and swimming pool are available to all.
The space is "feel-good", full of life and comfy for individuals and families alike. There are 2 bedrooms and an open floor plan including kitchen, dining area and living room. The bathroom is remodeled and roomy. This cabin is in a setting with 8 others, each similar in size, and all sharing the centralized swimming pool and recreation hall. It is a rustic setting.
The Green Mountains are all around us, and there is an abundance of hiking trails within close proximity. Bicycling all around the lake will take you for about 13 miles. Small grocery stores can be found within a 10 minute drive, and small towns a little farther away as well. Should you wish to have a campfire, there is wood on site for purchase for a small fee.
  • We had excellent time at Kristin’s place. Would love to visit there again.

    Bimal2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice cabin, private location tucked in the woods, nice porch and awesome host.

    Md2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely Recommend this to anybody wanting Rustic atmosphere in the comforts of a cabin we absolutely fell in love with this place!!! And Kristin is absolutely wonderful and Shanda and her husband are the caretakers and they are very nice and attentive

    April2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kristin s cabin is a great place for a quiet weekend. The wrap around deck is the best part of her house, but her 2 bedrooms and small well stocked kitchen are also adequate for a small family. You can hear the wind through the trees on a quiet night. Lake Dunmore is a short walk away.

    Manash2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • a rustic efficiency cabin near the lake but view is only of the woods. The cabin was actually pretty spacious with a large outdoor deck if you're there in nice weather. Some of the interior is rough finish only (i.e. nothing covering the studs) but it's what you see in the pictures and comfortable enough for the price

    Jeff & Barbara2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is the PERFECT place for family travel. All sorts of activities for kids (and adults): lake, kayaking, pool, playground, field, basketball, tons of toys, rec center with pool tables and other activities. The lake is just beautiful, so serene and a two minute walk. Everything you need is right there. The cabin is cozy but spacious with a nice touch of style. Outdoorsy feel but still the conveniences of a full fridge, hot shower, but also a fire pit and other wonderful nature aspects. The host was super flexible and had rapid response time. She was welcoming to our family and really friendly to meet. We plan to make this a yearly trip!! The managers on site were also very welcoming, helpful and accessible.

    Elicia2018-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great cabin and a good deal for the price. Both the bathroom and kitchen have been updated, the screened in porch is big and roomy--a great place to play games and do puzzles in the evenings, or on rainy days. The swimming area has a sandy, rocky bottom and shallow area that is great for kids. There was always a kayak available for paddling, and plenty of sunnies and perch under the dock for little fisherman to catch. We swam, hiked the trails in the national forest, paddled, and visited Middlebury and the Morgan Horse Farm. We would happily stay here again.

    Susan2018-08-04T00:00:00Z

Lake Dunmore is a family friendly vacation destination in lovely Vermont. We have direct lake access for boating. Branbury Beach State Park is right up the road for wonderful swimming. Come and relax, take out the kayaks and make wonderful memories.
  • We had a wonderful visit! Home was extremely clean , stocked with everything we needed and exceptionally neat. Property was great being right next to the lake. Quiet and relaxing. Communication with our host was fast and we will definitely stay again if we get the chance! Thank you!

  • The house is perfect and you can feel the history behind it. Susan is very willing to help her guest and I really recommand you choose her as your host in your visit.

    Yihao2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was a great host. She was prompt in all of our communications and has a lovely home. We were staying for a wedding up in MountainTop Resort and it was a short drive down the road. The touches to keep this place looking like a old style farm house were spot on

    Branden2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • My 7th grade team of teachers and I (four of us) from northern Vermont stayed for three nights and four days to attend a workshop. Susan was an excellent host: good communicator and warm and friendly. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and eating on the back wrap-around porch while enjoying views of the apple orchard in the back yard and the mountains to the north. At the end of each day of our workshop, we biked, walked, hiked, or swam. The beautiful Chittenden reservoir is nearby with swimming and kayaking and plenty of hiking trails all around it. Susan's place was a great place for us to do team building. We all highly recommend it!

  • Excellent location and setting to relax and catch up. Warm farmhouse with excellent host. We would come again ! Thanks

    Marc2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this gorgeous, quaint and roomy farmhouse with stunning surrounds. Susan was an incredible host, who not only gave us clear instructions, but also very helpful and thoughtful advice. She even installed gates for our small children and helped us plan a memorable trip for them. The home is one of a kind, spacious (yet cosy) and welcoming. It retains a quaint country farmhouse charm but is fully updated with excellent amenities (including great WiFi). The views from the house and the area in general are absolutely beautiful. Total serenity (even with kids!) in a comfy country farmhouse.

  • Emily is such an amazing host, she was very accommodating since we had to check in late. Everything was nice and clean and she gave us complimentary coffee. Had a great conversation about the area with her and her family, very nice people. Highly recommend her space.

    Hashim2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful place to stay in such a beautiful location. Emily's home was warm, comfortable, and clean. We stayed two nights and cooked both dinners at the house - although the spaces are very much shared, Emily & family made it easy to co-habitate. Emily gave us a walking tour of the farm, introduced us to the goats, and recommended Green Mountain hikes. Thank you!

  • Twig Farm is idyllic. The accommodations are beautiful and spotless. Emily, her family, her pets and their farm helper are friendly and kind. And the goats are so fun! We enjoyed our conversations, the tour around the farm, and learning the process of making goat cheese. We hope to be able to stay again some day.

My place is close to town of Warren and Rochester and Sugarbush.. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the ambiance and the tranquility of space and sunrise in the morning.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
  • Cozy spot in the Mad River Valley! We arrived on a bitterly cold day, and had no trouble getting the cabin toasty as can be. We skied each day we were there (MRG and Sugarbush are each about 40 mins away in winter conditions), and were happy to come back to the pellet stove, the hot shower, and comfortable beds each night. My kids loved watching Disney channel while I cooked dinner. AT&T cell service works great there. We had an awesome stay—thank you, Mark!

  • Mark has a very cozy cabin. It was a perfect escape from city life. We were able to visit our son at Norwich and take in the beauty of the autumn leaves. Mark was very hospitable and provided great recommendations for nearby eateries.

    Nicole2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice cabin in the wood. The pellet stove kept the place plenty warm on some very cold nights.

  • We enjoyed our family getaway to visit our son who is attending Norwich University. Cute place and very private. Everything was there to make our stay comfortable. Mark was very responsive.

  • Great location to be away from our everyday fast life and pause and relax your in the middle of no where with no worries. Our phones did not work at the house and there was no service at all (Verizon). So make sure to ask all your questions before arrival. House is about 20 minutes to Sugarbush ski resort. Be Prepare to drive at least 20 to 30 minutes for food or gas no stores near by. He was very responsive to our questions.

    Wilmarie2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mark’s home was a good fit for our ski weekend. The stove kept it nice and cozy. The beds were comfy. We would stay there again. Thanks!

    Michele2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is quaint, no frills but comfortable and tidy. It is located in quiet and beautiful surroundings off the beaten path, makes for a great get-away from reality and forces you to slow down and relax. The owner, Mark is phenomenal with communicating and making sure everything is set for your stay. Me and my family enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back. Colleen S.

    Colleen2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is definitely located in a very rural area but it was very nice to get away from our everyday “fast paced/populated areas” with no cell phones (Verizon Carrier) or internet.  I would suggest that you travel with a 4-wheel drive vehicle as the road does takes a lot of abuse from the weather and makes travel difficult. The cabin was very clean and supplied with all items you may need (ex: toilet paper, towels, sheets/blankets, garbage bags, dishes, etc). Our group felt right at home, especially, with the warm pellet stove as some of the nights/days were cold and damp. There are a lot of sights to see within a short driving distance and a beautiful environment surrounding you. We were a little unprepared for some things but Mark was very helpful to ensure our stay was both relaxing and meaningful. I would recommend this place to everyone in any season!! For those winter enthusiasts, this cabin is located directly across from the VAST (snowmobile) trail system. Thanks again, Mark, for renting out your home and making our stay memorable!

This is a charming studio apartment in a separate building over a two car garage. It has one large room that serves as an open space for the bedroom, kitchen and sitting area. There is a separate bathroom with a shower unit. There is a small deck for drinks and or breakfast/lunch overlooking the backyard and trees. This unit was nicknamed the Tree House by many guests over the years. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Middlebury College and all downtown shops and restaurants.
Wonderful for a single person or a couple visiting Middlebury for college functions, seeing friends in the area, hiking, or attending a wedding for a weekend. It has a private entrance and is a quiet cozy space. It has a double bed, lamps, dining table, kitchen with coffee maker, toaster and small refrig. Many American Brew School students use this apartment when they are required to show their magic brewing beer here in Middlebury.
The street has many historic homes and buildings belonging to Middlebury College. The Middlebury College president has her home at 3 South Street. The college track and the TAM (Trail Around Middlebury) are only 2 blocks away.

Beautiful log house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on 14 wooded acres on a quiet country road. It is a nicely furnished home with a cozy living room with large fieldstone fireplace. XC skiing out the back door, downhills skiing nearby.
  • The cabin was EXACTLY what we wanted. Wonderful fireplace, very clean and cozy and comfortable. Stayed Christmas week and just returned home. Delightful!

  • This house was great, we had a wonderful stay here. The one thing to keep in mind is that it is a cabin so in the winter it's a bit drafty, I would highly recommend bringing sweatshirts or other layers to wear around the house.

  • Wow. Stephan's place is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Really peaceful, super clean and comfortable. Beautiful VT setting. Great overall, thanks so much!

  • The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was quite a ways down a dirt road, which during the thaw was a mud road and was glad i had my Subaru, and fairly isolated. Its very rustic and the large heater vent in the middle of the living room is great for drying clothes at the end of the day. No TV but all you really need is WiFi and a computer. Enjoy VT! My only complaint is that the puzzle didn't have all its pieces ; )

This Vermont high pasture farm house is the antidote to urban life and your gateway to the Green Mountain Natural Forest. Set halfway between Sugarbush and Killington on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest you will have access to backcountry skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winter and mountain biking and hiking in the summer-right out your back door. The house is newly renovated and offers a Pilates and yoga home gym and fire pits outside for outdoor hangs. No cigarette
This 1842 farm house was renovated in 2014 with high end fixtures, plaster walls, a full house Sonos system, massive outdoor patio and Chef's kitchen. There is also a small Pilates and Yoga Studio. The Pilates Equipment is available for experienced practitioners of Pilates and trained Pilates teachers. There are blocks, straps and Yoga mats for Yoga practitioners. The downstairs is an open floor plan with 75 inch flat screen TV in living room. Downstairs there is a bathroom with shower and upstairs there is a wet room with bath tub and shower. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs: 2 with queen beds and one with a king. Off of the pink bedroom there is a clubhouse with a small TV. This is a jewel box of home nestled in the hills of Rochester VT. Power outages are common in these parts and the house is hardwired with a generator NO Cigarette Smoking in this house but we are 420 friendly
We live on a hill with 4 houses and only 2 houses have full time occupants. We (the home owners) occupy a second house on the property 800 feet away. There is real privacy between the homes but its good to know we live next door. We are 4 miles away from the town of Rochester.
  • We were delighted to stay in this beautifully restored farm house. The space is well appointed and extremely comfortable. The house has a great kitchen, comfortable beds, and terrific bathrooms with lovely soaps. The farm house is well located - not too far from the slopes. The area is quiet and peaceful. Definitely worth a stay!

  • We stayed at Kelly's home for 10 days over the Holiday period 2019. Kelly and Brian could not have been more helpful, their home was exactly as described and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. In fact, it was a total downer when we had to leave. Kelly gave us a Holiday tree (with new lights and decorations) and a bunch of treats including some local cheese and wine which really made us feel welcome and at home. Thank you Kelly and Brian for all of your help and assistance, you are by far the best hosts that anyone could ask for and your home is a welcome retreat from the mad world that we inhabit. We cannot thank you enough and we recommend this home to anyone who likes stunning views, fresh air and space to unwind. We also would mention that it is close all ski resorts. We cannot recommend this property and Kelly and Brian enough, simply bliss and we will return. One note, as Kelly as mentioned, in winter you will need an 4x4 SUV and snow tires if it snows (house is up a hill). 5 stars all the way.

    Justin2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible, the location while far away from things is exactly what we needed for a getaway. They stocked us up with local goods and answered any questions we had.

  • Rochester High Pasture Farm House is far and away the best Airbnb home we have ever stayed in. Location: It is set in a beautiful location, with incredible views of the mountains. There is a sense of privacy and quiet, while also being very close to Rochester (just minutes away) and Rutland (30 minutes away). Rooms: This home was immaculate. The overall feel is a unique blend of traditional farmhouse and modern retreat. It has an incredible kitchen with 6 burner stove that will make any cook happy, and an outside kitchen/grilling area that we did not use, but seemed very good. There is a comfortable indoor dining space, with artwork from other guests hanging above it (all guests are encouraged to make something to hang-which is so charming!). There is a slate terrace that is lovely to sit outside and eat or just enjoy the views. It has terrific laundry facilities. The 3 bedrooms were all comfortable. The two bathrooms are both beautiful and functional. In particular, each member of our family loved their experience of the upstairs (very large) rain shower/bathtub space, that has amazing views of the mountains. Our visit occurred in July, so it was really a relief to have air conditioning throughout the home during the heat. Tech: As a family that typically watches almost no TV, we actually enjoyed the opportunity to watch some TV together on the large screen TVs throughout the home. Having Apple TVs attached to each TV made it simple to watch what we wanted. There was excellent wifi throughout the home. They have Sonos set up throughout the home, and this system is amazing and easy to use (Kelly has left simple and clear instructions). We have never had whole home audio before. What a treat. Host: Kelly is a superb host. She communicated before we arrived with all the details that we would need to find and get into her home. Her personal touches were very special. She had placed glorious fresh flowers throughout the home, including a bunch of pale pink sweet peas in the upstairs bathroom. In the refrigerator, she left organic milk from a local creamery, garlic cheese, delicious fresh strawberries that looked like they could have just been picked, and on the kitchen counter lovely wine and sweet treats. She has created an informative binder with home details (like wifi access and composting instructions) and local activities and restaurants. On one of our last nights in Rochester, Kelly and family invited us to have a bonfire and roast marshmallows with them. Needless to say, this was a perfect Vermont, summer evening experience to top off our wonderful week in Rochester.

  • My husband and I traveled to Vermont to pick-up our daughter from sleep-away camp. The timing was out of the ordinary - a Sunday and Monday night. However, adding some adventure to our long trip north, we decided to spend and extra night in the mountains. Kelly and Brian (and their 2 daughters), the owners and hosts of an 1840's wooden farm house, have done a marvelous job converting their space into a hand-made, solid, high-end design-house: the wooden, wide plank floors were hewn from their back yard forest, two deluxe bathrooms + showers --on both floors-- perfectly tiled, a cook's kitchen with all the necessities and a beloved Wolf stove, a proper-sized dining room table to eat together, 3 deliciously comfortable king + queen beds with exquisite cotton sheets and duvet. Their move from Brooklyn to Vermont five years ago shows in the choices they made constructing this dreamy hideaway. Kelly and family were helpful and kind, allowing us to stay just two short nights rather than the requested minimum three. The hosts made an extra effort and left us some key breakfast items: a little milk, coffee, bread, butter, local honey, and some farm eggs. Since we arrived unprepared it was hugely welcomed. The hosts live in a cool house up the hill from the farm house. It is well laid-out so you don't actually see their house from where we stayed. What's nice having them nearby, when we had a question they responded instantly. The wifi works really well and both nights we had the joy of watching a movie on their uber-big TV set, discreetly nestled in the hand-made book case. The apple-TV box had all the viewing services you could desire. What's interesting about this particular house, it is perfect for any season. We happened to stay during the summer season, but I can easily see us returning in the dead of winter for a grand weekend of major skiing. Killington, Sugarbush, and Stowe are all kind of equi-distant from the farm house. On this occasion, we had the joy of taking a long walk (6 miles) up the hill, wandering through wilderness. A perfect loop in the warmth of early summer, easy, and filled with beauty. Thanks so much Kelly and Brian, we feel grateful and lucky to have picked your house!

  • Gracious hostess and home with both Urban and country touches. Fresh cut flowers and a bottle of wine were welcome treats when I arrived at this retreat late-after having been in the car all day. Kelly accommodated me as a last minute guest, which was greatly appreciated. The house was beautiful with some “extras”: a Sonos music system, every kitchen item a cook, like myself, wants and a bathtub with a view. I needed some suggestions for food and ways spend some time tomorrow and she gave me her hot spots and favorite quick natural places to stop at just off the road.

  • We just finished up a long weekend in Rochester and I can’t think of enough good things to say about our stay. We wanted a retreat a little bit out of the way to disconnect for a few days and embrace the quiet. This house was perfect. It’s located up the mountain so you are removed from everything but the house has all the amenities you could need. We took full advantage of the rain shower and Netflix but also embraced the stars and the fire pit! Kelly thought of everything we could’ve needed like a coffee bean grinder (for those great Vermont beans), fresh flowers, and toys for our children to stay busy while we relaxed. The house is located within about an hour of a bunch of major ski resorts. We stayed in the summer so obviously didn’t take advantage of those, but we are considering coming back in the winter just due to location. We were close enough to Killington, Sugarbush, Stowe and Smuggler’s Notch and it would be a great landing place to be able to hit all the different mountains rather than staying close to just one. Overall we couldn’t be happier with our stay. This was a much-needed escape and the modern amenities in the middle of a mountain were a great combination.

  • Jeff and Abbey were amazing hosts! They were extremely accommodating of our late-night arrival and made us feel right at home. Their house is beautiful and sits on a gorgeous piece of property with a pond in back and lots of trails for hiking. The two rooms were very comfortable for our family of four, and the bathroom was lovely and quite big. Jeff and Abbey also spoiled us with delicious breakfasts! They are great people, and we really enjoyed our conversations with them. We highly recommend their Airbnb!

  • Can’t rave about my experience in Cornwall or my interactions with Tiffany more!! Super quick responses as well as very open and honest communication. We checked in late afternoon (which was a breeze) and then we didn’t want to leave the back deck - best place for an evening cocktail while watching the sunset! Tiffany left a great list of local recommendations which was super helpful. The house was immaculate with great decor. It was nice to be able to get a workout in and then do a load of laundry before heading home. I’ve already contacted her about another stay - it was the best experience. Can’t recommend her and this amazing house enough!
