  • What a beautiful location and property. The house was extremely clean, well stocked, and a great value. Janna communicated quickly and was a fantastic hostess. We had a great time enjoying the lake and hope to be back soon!

    Kimberly2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful space this is! Janna is immediately and pleasantly responsive to all questions or issues. The property is private and the view of the lake is spectacular. We were greeted with a lovely autumnal display on the vast and welcoming screen porch: a vase of fresh flowers, a Day of the Dead succulent planter, and some gourds decorated the table. Janna thoughtfully left dog bowls and dog biscuits to welcome our canine companion. Many items that I did not expect to find were available, such as shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent, tea and coffee, condiments. There were a variety of pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, electric kettle, oven/stove, but no microwave, which was only an issue because my arthritic old lady dog needs hot packs warmed up. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small for the largest among us, which is fairly common in cabins. Our stay was peaceful and enjoyable. I was taking an art class at Snow Farm not 10 minutes away, so it was immensely convenient. The only unintended complication was my reluctance to spend so much time away from this lovely lake home and Janna's unfailing hospitality.

  • This spot is incredibly lovely. The little private beach is perfect for kids to enjoy and adults to sit and relax. We made S'mores at the fire pit and admired the stars from the hammock.

    Judith2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful peaceful spot. This is a great lakeside experience. It's set up so you can easily take out kayaks, canoe, and have a outdoor fire at night. Janna provides everything you need for a great experience. I highly recommend it!

    Julie2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Janna's place is exactly as described and pictured. Everything is a little bit dated but is otherwise very clean and cozy. The outdoor space was beautiful and made better by having access to kayaks, a canoe, and a very comfortable hammock. We greatly enjoyed our stay here.

    Norma2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The lake house is cozy and charming with plenty of amenities. The lake is a dream with all sorts of water activities available. There's a floating dock, canoes, kayaks, fire pit, hammock. You will come back from this visit completely at one with nature and yourself. The host is always available and very friendly, but gives you your space. Just... Wonderful!

    Danielle2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Beautiful view of the pond. Perfect for families too.

    Sheila2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Janna's place is gorgeously sited on the lake, absolutely true to the pictures, and it was a total delight to watch sunrise over the water from the terrace, then kayak quietly out in to the stillness and calm from the private beach. The lake is a manageable size for kids to kayak the entire and explore downriver a bit into the woods. Kids who swim will appreciate the warm summer lake water and floating deck too! Janna was courteous, prompt and helpful with all our enquiries.

Located in the Town of Goshen, Massachusetts where the Pioneer Valley meets the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The town has a rural atmosphere, with one general store, a post office, a fire station and a town hall. The town encompasses both the Upper and Lower Highland lakes, Upper being a part of the D.A.R. State Forest.
  • We have been coming to the Northampton area several times a year for the past 4 years to getaway from the city. It turns out, the Three Sisters Sanctuary is actually one of the greatest places around and we had never heard of it until recently searching for AirBnBs in the area. We 100% recommend going to the backyard and enjoying it thoroughly. This is a gem that we have not in found in the 49 states that we have visited. We enjoyed our stay at Richard's AirBnB. It was exactly as described. The house was comfortable and clean. Perfect for a weekend stay. We enjoyed all the art throughout the house. The amazing gardens were a peaceful escape. Richard was very responsive prior to our arrival and provided some great restaurant ideas which were all top notch. We would stay at Richard's place again without hesitation. Amazing place for couples or to bring friends. Just wow!!!

    Melissa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Three Sisters Sanctuary was peaceful, healing, and a truly beautiful experience. The house, much like the sanctuary itself, is a work of art. My wife and I were amazed at the incredible character crammed into every inch of the space. It was inspiring to see how much thought Richard put into the interior design. Aside from the aesthetic, the house had everything we needed. I only needed to inquire once about the location of a kitchen pan. Richard immediately popped over to show us where we could find it. Richard is a wonderful host and absolutely a pleasure to speak with. He really cares about making your stay special. It was beautiful even in the snow and we look forward to returning in the spring.

    Dennis2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Three Sisters Sanctuary makes for a perfect getaway. Especially if you have the opportunity to wander the property at night, it is perfectly silent and the sky is incredible. Richard attended to our every need and we would be lucky to stay again.

    Jack2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and unique spot to stay! It was a comfortable, quiet retreat after a day of sight-seeing! Richard was very kind and informative. We had the pleasure of a quick conversation upon arrival. The garden is amazing. Spaced out and quiet, with individual spots to recollect. The apartment itself was just enough privacy. Very clean and accomodating. My husband and I plan on revisiting in the summer!

    Ashley2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay at the lovely grounds Richard has created. The apartment was meticulously clean, and the perfect place to relax, reconnect with friends, and to unwind after enjoying the area and skiing. We had a cold snowy weekend at the sanctuary, but Richard quickly cleared all the snow and provided a warm, cozy retreat. The grounds must be beautiful in the summer, and we hope to return to enjoy the full property. Thank you, Richard!

    Hayley2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's place was absolutely beautiful and unlike anywhere we'd stayed before. My boyfriend and two friends of ours were in town for a nearby bike race in Northampton for the weekend and Richard's place was the perfect place to call home. We loved settling in early there - it's super cozy and thoughtfully laid out. The space and grounds are unbelievably special and unique - we'd never before stayed somewhere like this! So many things stood out - the lovely old stove, all the woodwork, and the amazing art, to name a few. It was incredibly convenient to where we needed to be and was easy to find, and Richard was lovely to communicate with. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time there to truly explore and appreciate all of the hard work that Richard has put in. We'll absolutely look to stay here again!

    Athena2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you love art and Arts and Crafts decor this is a must visit. As comfortable as it is interesting. Bring your own ground coffee, but there this a Mr. coffee with filter that did a fine job with our morning brew. If your heart is set on the upstairs bedroom, that is amazing, bring a light suitcase to carry up. Nice central location for any number of tourist things and of course visit his unique sanctuary grounds. Richard was helpful in person and had a nicely organized 3 ring binder filled with stuff that could probably answer most questions. We will be back in warmer weather when the plants are blooming, it must be spectacular.

The sunrises can be breathtaking. The bird watching (with hawks, eagles, herons, ducks, ospreys) is entertaining. Walks are delightful.
  • This is an amazing location, right on a lake. Plenty of room very clean. Beautiful new appliances.

  • Great to use kayaks! Awesome lake that leads to state park trails at the end. Comfortable bed. plenty of stuff in kitchen to cook. free coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls. water bottles provided. Very clean. You do have to meet the host to check in and run through everything and sign a contract and their house is quite close.

  • Steve and Marie supported our stay with generosity and enthousiasm. The cabin was clean and well outfitted with everything we needed for a cozy fall stay. Steve welcomed us personally to walk us through the property along with sharing recommendations for the area and answer our questions. He was available to support us thoughout our visit and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay together. My wife and I stayed in Goshen to experience the foliage (beautiful views from the deck) with our 2-month-old and made memories we won't soon forget.

    Taylor2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is exactly as described. Steve met us at the property on arrival and took very good care to make us familiar with the property. He is an amazing host who is very responsive.

A two level loft apartment walking distance to Shelburne Falls. Private, simple, unique, cute, and efficient. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet with the notable exception of a nearby train intersection. 4-6 times in a given 24 hour period there'll be a loud train whistle. Please see Covid-19 update in "Other things to note..."
This space is most comfortable for one or two people. There is a spare bed which I will set up upon request so that a third person may be added. The Apartment has an open ceiling in the kitchen area and a winding stair leading to the living and sleeping area. The upstairs has three different levels: one exiting to the back deck, one a reading area, and the third level is the television area. (In the event that the memory foam mattress needs to be set up it will be in the TV area of the apartment.) The Queen size bed is on the floor but from the 1st level height it will feel like a normal height bed. Ceilings are low on the 2nd floor...watch your head... Kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, etc.... There are some basic food items like olive oil, butter, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, tea, coffee, cereal/oatmeal, and so on. On the back deck you'll find a small grille and in the tree line I have steel fire ring for an evening fire (wood provided).
Shelburne Falls is a quaint town. There are several restaurants in town and easy access to museums, hiking, mountain biking, etc... There is a laundromat about a 5 minute drive from here and a natural food store the same distance (4 minute drive).
  • Justin was very thoughtful with his communication! He messaged to reassure us that everything would be extra clean amid the Corona virus outbreak. We enjoyed the tips he suggested and I even bought some of the glasses he keeps in the loft from local artists! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Rebecca

    Rebecca2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, lovely space for 1-2 people, very clean! Very comfortable! Extra touches of organic food on the shelves and in the refrigerator. Great location - 10 min. walk to downtown.

    Beryl2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Justin’s place. We just stayed for the night, but would’ve loved to stay longer. The place is super cozy and cute, close to all the whole spots in town. Justin also provides quite a few food staples which is very generous we made a nice breakfast, and he gave some great advice. good hikes in the area!

    Kim2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our second stop, and we stayed one night. As home renovators, we loved the design and thoughtful features throughout this little apartment. Nice glassware, an assortment of teas, and coffee are available. The host was quick to respond to my messages. The only negative I would say is the incredibly tiny bathroom sink that was virtually unusable. We used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and perform our facial hygiene. Also, there is not a washer and dryer present within the apartment (just an FYI).

    Cat2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific overnight stay at Justin's place. Snug, clean, and simple. A perfect spot from which to launch our ski day.

    Janel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay!

    Joshua2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very cute. I chose it because I liked the loft and it was exactly what I expected it to be. There was local/organic food in the kitchen area, which was a very thoughtful touch. Justin has snowshoes outside which we did not use but I thought was a cute idea. It is walkable to the downtown area. I would return here for another trip.

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. Justin truly thought of everything: from food and coffee in the kitchen to extra blankets and pillows in the bedroom. Super cozy, comfy place. Thanks Justin!

Peaceful, semi-rustic home on 16 wooded acres. Sweet 'suite' with private bath, bedroom, sitting/bonus room (second room includes a full-sized futon). This is a great place for just getting away from it all - for a little personal, writing, creative, or meditation retreat; as a base camp while exploring the area and all it has to offer (the arts, outdo;ors, colleges, and more), or stop on your way to wherever you're headed. Everyone welcome!
A Place for Peace - a simple yet lovely home on a beautiful piece of property that offers the feel of camping or a cabin, with the amenities of a B&B or small inn. Bright colors mix with natural wood and lots of windows that look out into a forest of oak and maple and birch and moss covered rocks and flowers and ornamental grasses. Private guest space includes bedroom, sitting room (with bed), and full bath.
House is 1.5 miles off main road, and first house after pavement ends. It's a quiet street with minimal car activity, where people let their dogs walk off leash, keep their cats indoors, and never leave their trash out unless they want to clean up after bears make a mess.
  • Cozy, clean, and peaceful. Had all ammenities for a comfortable stay. Host is very friendly and communicative.

  • Relaxing and peaceful, with wonderful woodland views. Warmth and coziness abound with a creative and talented hostess. Convenient to Northampton, but in the country. We home to return at a later date.

  • It is a nice little tucked away stay with a comfy bed and a has a healthy amount of outdoor amenities.

    Sage2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's place is peaceful and rustic. I wanted to stay in the country a bit as I was looking to relax with my daughter as she was getting ready to start school in nearby Northampton. Not only was the stay relaxing, but Jill is also a great host. Our rooms were clean, peaceful and comfortable -- we slept well. Jill knew of a nearby swimming hole and so off I went to go swimming...it was an awesome stay. I could have stayed in town but found the peacefulness of Jill's place to be more desirable, I was not disappointed. For a relaxing stay, this is your place.

    Eric2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the charm, comfort, and creativity of Jill’s home. Jill is a wonderful, well-traveled person full of local recommendations and incredible stories, we thoroughly enjoyed talking to her during our stay. Her hospitality goes above and beyond! The rooms have artistic touches and the surrounding area is beautiful and serene.

    Len2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience! Highly recommended place to stay because Jill is just so nice to offer help! Here is not the grand type of housing places, but the warm cabins with homemade art crafts and decorations are really adorable. One problem could be little flying bugs flying around but they were not annoying at all except for some mosquitos. Good place to experience nature and local hospitality! Don't forget to learn more about Jill's nice and creative craft works!

Small, rustic cabin in the woods behind our home. The cabin has electricity, but no running water. Drinking and cooking water are provided from a hand pumped container. The cabin is a beautiful place to slow down, connect to nature and one's self. If you love to camp, you will love the cabin. It is the perfect locale for a personal retreat. We are happy to arrange a yoga class at our home studio as well. It is like a tree house, where all are welcome to come, simplify life and just be.
There is a full sized, comfortable bed for sleeping in the cabin, as well as a table for working or having a meal. The cabin has a dry bathroom (no plumbing), there is a wash basin and container of water for handwashing and an antique composting toilet. There is also a woodstove to heat the cabin in the chilly season. The cabin is available May-Dec. Hearty, experienced winter campers may inquire about winter rentals during the ski season. Ample firewood is provided to keep the cabin warm, though the path to the cabin may be harder to navigate if there is snow.
Cummington is a beautiful, rural town; but we are just 30 min from Shelburne Falls and Northampton as well as 45min to 1hr from the many cultural offerings of Berkshire County. There are plenty of nearby forests and parks to hike, bike, swim, fish and canoe. We are 45 min from Zoar Outdoor and Berkshire East for your outdoor adventures. We are just 5 min from the Old Creamery Coop a neighborhood treasure to grab a quick meal or pick up some groceries. There is plenty to do to fill your time while in the hilltowns. We are happy to help you plan your visit.
  • Stacey and Brian were such AMAZING hosts!!! I really needed that time to get away into nature. The creative journaling class Stacey hosted was perfect. Everything was amazing, I would definitely book this space again!

  • What a beautiful stay in a tranquil spot. The cozy woodstove was just like home. Thank you!

  • A little gem in a Western, Ma backyard. Perfect for a quick getaway for some quiet time.

    Nicole2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best AirBnB experiences I’ve had. Stacey is a seasoned host and accurately describes what the experience is like. The little wood-burning stove pumps out a ton of heat for warmth and cooking. The composting toilet is easy (and fun) to use. There are a bunch of other minor details about this place that make it perfect for a relaxing weekend away; not least of which are the beautiful, quiet woods that surround the Just Be Cabin. I can’t wait to be back here.

    Ben2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great winter weekend in this cabin. It was plenty warm with the wood stove and on a nice piece of land. We had a little difficulty getting out of the snowy driveway with our prius (no snow tires) but before we even asked for help, Stacey was there with some sand to save us.

    Danielle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just Be cabin is a perfect place to step away from the stressors of work and life. Here you can re-discover the peacefulness of living simply and gently on the earth.

    Winn2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had a fabulous stay in this very cute and cozy cabin! There’s no running water, but they do have a composting toilet and supply you with water jugs for drinking and washing dishes. The wood stove gave us plenty of heat to keep us warm during the chilly January nights, and we cooked all our meals on top of it (they also have a hot plate of you didn’t want to use the stove). It was basically fancy camping, glamping if you will. I would definitely recommend!

  • This cabin was much better than expected! It was nice and warm when we got there (thanks to Stacey) and it is just the coziest and most peaceful place ever! Would definitely go there again!

Blue Room has a queen bed for up to a 10 day stay. 5 blocks to downtown Northampton(Amtrak/Peter Pan), 15 min. stroll to Smith, & 5 min. to PVTA local bus stop. The Blue Room and shared full bath are upstairs, and guests are welcome to spend time in the kitchen/living room, or explore the house. I have 2 guest rooms, and other friends, family and artists often stop by during the day . My cat, Blue and I are the full-time occupants. Includes on-site parking. Twin air mattress also available.
Home was built in 1785, moved to current location around 1840. I am the seventh owner in 230 years (!) and I have been slowly restoring it. We have a small yard, ample parking, screened in back porch.
We are in Ward 3 of Northampton, close to the historic cemetery. A quiet, family-oriented, old-Northampton part of town, about a seven minute walk to the center, and about the same distance to the fairgrounds.
  • Funky old home circa 1675 or so. Very cool. Super convenient to downtown.

  • I loved staying in the Blue Room in Athena's home. I felt welcome, safe and cared for. I appreciated the feeling of privacy and rest that the private room provided. The room is exactly as described and as it appears in Athena's photos. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the sunlight in the room is beautiful, the shared bathroom is fine. Parking is no stress, as you just park in back of the house. A restaurant and a good coffee shop are right around the corner, a two-minute walk away and it's an easy 10-minute walk to the main streets of town. Athena is lovely, friendly, positive, relaxed, welcoming, kind. I would stay with her again.

    Caroline2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Athena is warm and communicative! Check-in was a breeze and her home is extremely conveniently located to downtown Northampton. I'll definitely be back!

    Christine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Athena’s place is such a great home with wonderful touches of classic NE living. She’s got a convenient location to the surrounding shops and eateries, so staying a few days for work was pleasant experience. I highly recommend staying here, and have already confirmed times to go back again and stay. Enjoy yours!

    Adam2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Athena's house is magical! It is just around the corner from Joe's Pizza House, which my son loves to visit. It is a charming house, very comfortable and clean and Athena is the best host. We keep returning to her every time we visit Northampton.

Peaceful, cabin-esque home in the woods! Great spot to unplug and enjoy the sounds, scents, and feel of the natural world. Ideal for personal or small group retreats (creative, writing, meditation), small family or other reunions, as a basecamp from which to explore the arts, outdoors, and rest of what W Mass offers; or for a quiet pause for a night en route to somewhere else! Everyone welcome! (4-leggeds 7children under age 10 by prior arrangement/approval)
A Place for Peace is a simple yet lovely home on a beautiful piece of property that offers the feel of camping or a cabin, but better appointed than one would expect of either. In the 1900sf house you'll find bright colors mixed with natural wood and lots of windows, creating a welcoming, warm yet vibrant, and cheerful interior. Most of the 16 acres are wooded, and include a walking trail, several designated spots for pitching a tent (should a more rustic experience suit some in your party), and plenty of places to sit or swing or nap or read under the big open sky or tucked in the trees. 2 campfire rings offer opportunities for lovely evenings of fire, story-telling, singing, or just looking at the stars. The property is more wild than manicured, though includes some ornamental grasses, flowers, mowed grass. Guests are welcome to enjoy spacious living area, dining room, campfires, small front and back porches, hammock, and walking trail. Take your bowl of cereal outside to add freshly picked wild blueberries or raspberries, sit by the campfire and watch stars, tell stories, make s'mores, or get some music going. Feel like baking? There's rhubarb growing, and your host loves a good strawberry rhubarb pie! The space itself is quirky, filled with original photo and other work and messaging. You'll make coffee in the clouds, and go to sleep on the leaves (ok, so I got a little carried away painting floors this spring!)
A Place for Peace is 1.5 miles off the main road (it's all up hill to the house, and paved right until the driveway), 3 miles to the center of town (Williamsburg), and 10 miles from Northampton. The road is quiet. Neighbors wave as they walk or drive by one another, let their dogs walk off-leash, and their kids rides bike in the road (there are no sidewalks!). Birds, chipmunk, squirrels, and field mice are regulars in the yard (and yes, sometimes they find their way into the garage, ceiling or house). Racoon, fox, deer, and black bear roam these woods and even the road at dawn and dusk. If you're lucky, you might get to see one or more of them! Cell service is limited (ok for texting but you need to find just the right spot to talk), there's no cable service, and I don't even have a TV. There is internet access and a 'landline,' both pretty reliable. There are ample places for walking right from the property, and other places for walking or paddling just a short drive away.
  • Check out the trails behind the house. No need to go anywhere else!

  • Jill's home was the perfect getaway in the country! The secluded property was serene and welcoming. The comfy living room allowed us to read, make music, play cards, and really enjoy each other's company. And Jill was an extremely gracious and informative host--her welcome was very warm and she made sure all was well for us. Would certainly return for another visit in the future!

    Delaney2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jill's place! We were visiting for a bike race and this place was perfect for part of my team.

Large apartment with lots of light. It has a steam shower, modern tub and close to everything in Florence. The electric assisted bike depot will be a 5 min walk coming up in late April or early May! There are 2 Airbnb’s in the building so I ask everyone to be thoughtful of others. Also there are 2 small cats that share the same entrance. They are super sweet.
  • Wonderful! Beautiful space, clean, so welcoming, an absolute gem!! And, the shower is ABSOLUTELY incredible!

  • Virginia's place was perfect for our visit to the Northampton MA area. The apartment is light-filled, spacious, and clean -- with everything you would want to enjoy your time there. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The location, Florence, MA, is a charming town with a great diner, lovely vegan restaurant, and excellent used book store. Our group -- two couples -- was happy and comfortable. Virginia was very responsive to our questions and helped with information. We hope to return. Thank you, Virginia

  • Incredible amenities aside, there is just something about Ginny's place that is unlike any other. I guess maybe it's the art and beautiful color in every room? The history evident in the building? The spacious common room? huge windows? In any case, it was a DREAM to spend time there for 2 nights. Quiet yet near all necessities a block away.

    Elena2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with amazing amenities! Would stay here again, and definitely loved the steam shower. Was great to be within walking distance from some awesome spots as well!

  • This was the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! The fireplace was cozy and the rain shower and tub were amazing! Beautiful and stylish space that were a luxury to be in! The host was also very gracious in answering questions and extending hospitality. Thank you for a remarkable experience! I wish all Airbnb's could be this spectacular!!

    Carrie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The space is very lovely–exposed beams and brick and remnants of the original architectural details. Virginia has decorated it tastefully and included nice touches, such as yoga mats, an electric tea kettle, and a record player (!). The shower is amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy a soak in the tub. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm enough on a cold winter night.

  • Ginny was very responsive and has created a lovely environment for her guests. Clean, cozy and charming. Deep tub and steam shower are amazing. Beds are comfortable. A few minutes walk to an amazing pie shop and Miss Florence Diner. Quick drive to NOHO. Great value. Will definitely be back.

  • The location is ten minutes from downtown, and has that “out-in-the-country” feel. Rachael and David are thoughtful hosts, providing great towels, a comfy bed and coffee in the morning. The house is easy to get to via GPS. The bedroom and bath are around the corner from the dining room, and are quite private from the rest of the house. There is a small heater in case the room gets too cool (it did; it’s winter after all!), but the lovely sheets and coverlet kept me warm and toasty. There is a refrigerator where I could store the food I brought, and they were very amenable to my quick use of their microwave. A great spot!

  • Rachael and Davis are great hosts! Their place is very clean and well laid out for Airbnb guests! Nice quiet rural location, but also close to many restaurants and cultural attractions and nature preserves.

  • Rachael and David welcomed us into their home for a wonderful stay. We had our own hallway, bedroom, and bathroom. The location is just beautiful, right on the edge of a meadow and forest, so perfect for getting away from the sounds and lights of the city. But also just a 10 min drive to town! I woke up to the sounds of many diverse birds and it made me so happy. Also the sky at night was breathtaking— so clear and filled with stars! Rachael and David had to leave in the morning but they prepared an amazing breakfast for us! They also left clear instructions for our stay and a list of places to eat in town. Their cats, Lola and Sophie, were so sweet and adorable. Everything we needed was provided and it felt so cozy. I loved the selection of books!! Rachael and David made us feel so welcome . We would like to return in the summertime to stay again!!

Our home is an open place, a sanctuary, crisp, clean, simple, fragrance-free and comfortable. Original fir floors, sanded and re-finished. Your room with three windows is airy and light. The living room has an open floor plan. Walls and windows have rounded corners giving a southwestern feel, friendly and relaxing. Southern exposures reveal views of "green". Following a path down to the river, you'll find a bench for meditating.
Your room is about 120sq. feet, has THREE windows, and is on a fairly quiet street though you'll hear some cars passing. It's a real bed, and is full-sized, no box spring.
Our street is close to Florence Center, but is not a major thoroughfare, (if anything around here could be considered a thoroughfare!) so there is some traffic, but not much. It is residential, we have good neighbors that look out for each other.

  • Wonderful tranquil setting not far from Northampton and a beautiful, thoughtfully re-designed house with a very comfortable atmosphere and a kind host. The best night's sleep I've had in a long time! As an artist, I can appreciate the creative touches Lani has included in the decor and her use of color and lighting. Also, Lani is quite friendly and a very clear communicator. I arrived an hour later than planned due to a tooth emergency, and Lani was quite understanding. She made me feel at home right away. The house combines exquisite, uncluttered taste with supreme comfort and yes, total cleanliness.

Lovely rustic cabin ! The tiny town of Goshen has a post office, library and general store. The DAR State forest is around the corner with amazing hiking and mountain biking trails. PLEASE NOTE: This is an entirely non smoking/non vaping property. There are THREE cottages in total on the property and we live here year-round. We are here to help you in you like or we are invisible! All of our guests share the waterfront, boats and yard.
Very cozy cabin with fully equipped kitchen, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and outdoor grille and gas! You also have your own private little yard and picnic table.
Goshen is a sleepy little New England town which boasts a post office, general store and antiquated yet fun library. My fav part of Goshen is the DAR State forest! Mountain bike, hike and walking trails in abundance! Beautiful nature. Don't miss the view from the fire tower!

Cute downtown Florence is right around the corner. Walk to a vegan cafe, several coffee cafes, a corner store, local brewery and taproom, and various choices for pizza and delicious soft serve. Downtown Northampton is just 2 miles down the street.
  • Diane was extremely kind about our last minute booking, and the place was immaculate, and in a PERFECT location. Thank you, Diane!

  • A couple friends and I needed a place to stay for a night to see a show at the Academy of Music and Diane's place was a less than 10 min uber ride to the venue. Diane was warm and welcoming and was kind enough to offer suggestions of places to get dinner before the show. Its a cute studio that is completely private. Would recommend staying here.

  • We loved Diane’s place for our weekend getaway! It was the perfect location, just a short drive into Northampton! The place was easy to find, very clean, and Diane did a fantastic job at communicating with us throughout our stay.

    Jennie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Diane’s place is cozy, quiet and comfortable, and Diane’s messages were prompt, warm, and friendly. The location is convenient to a small town center. We really enjoyed the authentic diner there. The place has a vintage vibe with some updates. It’s not fancy, but it was satisfying, private, and a good value, especially with the hospitality and small thoughtful touches.

    Gretchen2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quaint apartment. Great deal and location convenient to Florence and Northampton. Owner was very helpful and responsive.

Come stay in the country in our cute & cozy self-contained tiny trailer (17 feet long). Feedback from guests over 6'1 it's a tight fit in the bed. Trailer has a fridge, stove, microwave, sink, bathroom/shower. The views are amazing. The space is tiny, but adorable. Bed is a full, comfy for two. If you've ever wanted to try tiny house camping, this is your chance! View full starry night when clear. There are 2 dogs and 2 cats on our property, but we have a fenced in yard. Near Civil War cemetery.
A single person or a couple!
The neighborhood is beautiful. There is an artisan cheese farmer next door with fresh raw milk and cheese for sale. The neighbors are quiet and the houses are pretty far apart so there's a lot of privacy. The best part is the Cummington Coop Creamery right down the hill from our house. Yummy organic food, deli, wine, beer, local ice cream and awesome desserts.
  • This was our second time back to Aliza’s and Ric’s and we really love this place. The land is beautiful, casita is so cozy, and Aliza and Ric are wonderful, generous hosts. We shall definitely be back.

    Eva2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Aliza was a great host! She responded quickly and had a wonderfully adorable place ready and waiting for me.

    Dana2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for one person or two people who are really, really comfortable w each other. Nice touches, water in the fridge, garden tomato’s ... a warm greeting from Aliza. The description is spot on, really enjoyed my all too brief stay.

    Linda2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect setting for peak foliage viewing in the Berkshires! Picked the cute Casita for a quick 2 night getaway and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked out. It was comfy & toasty warm during 2 nights with frost. The carafe of hot coffee was perfect along with picking up some good eats from down the street @ The Creamery, recommended by Aliza. Even after the frost and her recommendation, I was still able to harvest some carrots & greens from her garden. The casita was clean & cozy with flannel sheets and lots of blankets. She was very quick to respond to questions I had being close by, yet the Casita still had plenty of privacy.

    Patrice2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing experience staying at this cozy trailer.

    Abhiram2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Casita! It's in a beautiful setting and is very cozy. I love tiny houses and was just giddy on arrival. The bed was super comfy and we loved watching movies from it. We enjoyed coffee in the garden and the hot shower. The Casita is nearby several super quaint Western Mass towns. Great food, shopping, farms, beautiful vistas, etc, etc. Will be telling all my friends and hopefully returning some day!

    Rebecca2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita is as described small but efficient. There was a bowl of fresh cherry tomato’s upon enter the trailer. I thought there would be water in the fridge but not there. However, she brought hot water for my tea each morning. I also picked fresh basil, tomatoes, and eggplant that made a delicious dinner. The pictures are very accurate. Overall I would go back and stay. Thoughtful hosts.

    Elaine2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • First let me get this out of the way: this place is small. I’m a big guy and, if it had been any smaller it would have been uncomfortable to stay there for me. That said, the spot is beautiful, Aliza and Ric were the perfect mix of attentive and hands-off. They were there for everything I needed but not intrusive. I would certainly recommend the property to someone looking to sneak away.

This lakefront home in Goshen has everything you need to unwind and enjoy your time with family and friends. You'll have a hard time pulling yourself away from the lakeside backyard, as you enjoy the boats and warm waters of the pristine lake. You'll enjoy meals cooked in the fully-equipped kitchen or on the outdoor grill, or take a short ride to downtown Northampton to enjoy the thriving arts scene, great restaurants, and local shops.
This home has recently been renovated and furnished. It's unpretentious, warm, and inviting. The owners use the house much of the year, so it's properly equipped and feels like a beloved home, rather than a sterile hotel. The house is setup to sleep up to 7 people - a king bedroom, a kids room with 3 twins, and a pull-out double couch in the living room. The lake is great for swimming and boating. You'll have access to a number of boats, including kayaks, canoes, kids kayaks, and a Sunfish sailboat. There's a picnic table, fire pit, hammock, gas grill, sandbox, and dock in the backyard. Just down the road, there's a pitch and putt course, a tennis court, and a volleyball net for use by the lake neighborhood. While remote and peaceful, the house is only 25 minutes from downtown Northampton, 15 minutes from the DAR State Park, 5 minutes from Snow Farm, 30 minutes from Berkshire East, 10 minutes from Williamsburg, and 20 minutes from Look Park.
The house is part of a small lake community. The neighbors are friendly and enjoy the pristine waters as much as you will. A short drive away are charming country stores, ice cream shops, and the thriving, small town of Northampton.
  • The house is better than in pictures! Once you get inside- it is stylish and has the loveliest porch and view. It’s off the beaten track and no WiFi so just know that and come for the beauty and the lake. We kayaked and it was beautiful.

  • This is our second stay at the cabin. We went in April and realized we had to come back so we could fully utilize the lake. I’m so happy we did. It was such a wonderful getaway for the family. It’s a perfect spot. We went swimming, boating, had a fire, made s’mores. It was our own little camp with our family. I can’t wait to go back!

    Kristin2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was so relaxing for our group, a summer's dream.

    Jeannia2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house is exactly as pictured. Very warm and welcoming feeling and clean. The views are fantastic from inside and outside of the house. The lake is quite and so pretty. The king size bed is soft and comfy. We enjoyed the direct access to the water and all the boats. We stayed in the spring and the weather was both warm and cold. The thermostat was easy to use and the windows easy to open and close so we were comfortable in the house the whole time. We would definitely come back again.

    Cassandra2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. It was such a perfect family getaway. It was so perfect we ended up booking it again for summer so we could really utilize the lake. The master bed was incredibly comfortable. The three beds were perfect for my kids. We were there to celebrate my daughters birthday and we were surprised with a birthday balloon for her. Tala is a wonderful host!

    Kristin2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tala's home was a wonderful place to stay. The house is very clean and welcoming. Everything was as described in the listing. The kids loved the boats and staying right on the lake and they even enjoyed their break from TV and the internet. Jeff and Melany were very helpful and quick to respond to all of our inquires. We would definitely stay here again.

    Robert2019-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house is clean, cute and comfy, super quiet place, kids had lots of fun outside sledding and easy to watch them from the cozy inside. We loved it! loved the fireplace!

    Elena2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Lake House is a wonderful place to stay. It’s larger than the pictures suggest and had everything our family needed. There were many special touches that made our stay easy and special. Tala is a warm excellent host who was very responsive. It was spectacular in the winter...I can only image the lake house in the summer. We are looking forward to staying again next year!

Second floor apartment down town Florence. 2-3 blocks from Brew Practitioner, Cafe Evolution and the Pie Bar. Steep stair entering the apartment. One bedroom on the 2nd floor and a loft with 2 beds on the 3rd floor. There are 2 other units so being thoughtful about noise is appreciated. Late April early May the electric assisted bike depot should be up and running. 5 min walk $1.50 per hour. : ) Ginny

  • Virginia's place activates all my Northampton nostalgia. Interesting art, exposed brick walls, and a loft? I'm in love. Add to that Cooper's, the Freckled Fox, and Pie Bar around the corner, and you get perfection. Ginny was very communicative and helpful as we tried to pick out the best of her properties for our small get-together. I'd come back any day!

The Railroad House is a cute attached converted barn in the village center with parking, private entrance, 2 floors, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, WiFI, but no television. It is located within just a minute's walk from the famous Bridge of Flowers. Other local attractions include several dining choices from a drugstore soda shop on up to 5-star dining, as well as the country's 2nd oldest bowling alley. On weekends you can often find live music. Train goes by twice/day on average.
Check out our vinyl collection! Use the turntable to adjust the atmosphere to your heart's content.
  • This was our third or fourth stay at the railroad house. We love the quiet, the canal, the wood rooms and the trains.

  • Second stay and just as great!

    Cassie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so great. We stayed here for 7 days while our bathroom was being remodeled and it was the perfect home away from home. It's really beautiful and cozy inside, with a great little sitting area by the turntable and hundreds of records. We drank wine and listened to Blondie and Merle Haggard and played board games on the rug. Everything is beautiful and cute and pleasant. The upstairs sleeping loft is so toasty warm and cozy, as is the gorgeous and clean little bathroom. The location is also excellent--you just pop down one block and you're in downtown Shelburne Falls, right by McCusker's (groceries) and all the restaurants/bars this little town has to offer. We also brought our dog and it is such a relief to know that there are cool places to stay in the area that allow pets. Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this spot--this is our second time renting it and we will definitely be doing so again!

    Bryce2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Randy's place was a cozy little place that was perfect for a weekend getaway. The turntable was a great experience to have and browsing the collection reminded us of bands we hadn't heard in years! Our older, well loved home is centrally located a short walk from downtown Greenfield. It is the perfect spot to stay on your trip through the Berkshires as we are less than 5 minutes off of I 91 and route 2. We are 7 minutes from local boarding schools, and 25 minutes from the 5 colleges in Amherst and Northampton. Restaurants, great views, music, and family-friendly activities are nearby. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
A clean, private, and charming 2 bedroom apartment with large windows for a picturesque tree top view. It is spacious and has lots of light. The apartment has a private entrance via exterior stairs. Please note it is on the 3rd floor. We happily keep it stocked with breakfast items, coffee, tea, and fruit.
Our location is great because we are in a family friendly and outdoor adventure hub. We have the convenience of in town living, such as a 24 hour CVS, and laundromat around the corner. We have great local restaurants, a movie theatre, canoeing, and a brand new skate park, all within a 15 minute radius!
  • Fantastic place. Super cozy living room with so much sunlight. Very clean with all of the nice extra touches like coffee, tea, and fresh orange juice in the fridge.

  • Lovely and comfortable space in a convenient location. I've stayed here for multiple trips, and I expect I will be back!

  • Charming apartment in a great location. Appreciate the coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. We were very comfortable.

  • Accurately described. Nice personal touches. Great communication, quick reply’s. Fantastic location. Would definitely stay there again.

  • This was our second time staying at Sarah’s over Thanksgiving weekend with family in Greenfield. We love this place, but especially Sarah who works hard and is so kind. The apartment is warm and welcoming, with everything you could want. We especially appreciate the lovely retro pink and black bathroom with tons of useful supplies, and a well-stocked kitchen. The apartment has a separate, private entrance up several outdoor staircases, so older folks or those who have trouble with stairs might be challenged.

    Kit2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute apartment. I'd live there myself! Close to the main st. My friend and I stayed there for one night and were very comfortable. I would stay again.

    Remy2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • When I just stepped in the house I was so happy that this is the place I'm going to stay for the next days and I was right.

We offer a cozy, comfortable, studio apartment located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley right on the bike path, a walk to Look Park and easy access to hiking. We are a 10 minute drive to downtown Northampton with lots of great restaurants and music. Our proximity to Snow Farm, Smith and the other area colleges makes this an ideal overnight spot for parents in town for a brief visit, people attending area workshops and classes or for those looking to stay longer and explore the area.
I am a carpenter and have been lovingly re-crafting our beautiful old house since my partner and I purchased it some 20 odd years ago. I have literally uncovered some of it's original aesthetic and charm, while improving and modernizing its infrastructure. Our studio rental sits under the same roof as our home and has its own private front and back entrances, both of which offer a place to sit and relax. Recently renovated, the studio is outfitted with handsome custom built cabinets and counters and a new bathroom. The kitchen, with its dorm size refrigerator, is fully equipped and has a sweet dining corner. The remainder of the space is taken up with a comfortable double bed and sitting area where you can kick back with a good book or just unwind for a spell.
Though now almost exclusively residential, Leeds was once a booming mill town with shops, a hotel and several taverns. The Mill River is right across the street from the house. The history here is rich and we live along what is known as the Mill River Greenway. Around the neighborhood and along the bike path you will discover signs that commemorate and tell some of the story of our area. You can follow the African American Heritage Trail which is just a short drive or bike ride away in Florence, MA. Among the places on the walking tour are the former homes of Sojourner Truth and Frederick Douglas. They both lived in Florence in the 1800's where there was an enclave of abolitionists. A number of whom were self-emancipated former slaves. World class theater and dance are not far off. Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, Williamstown Theater Festival and Chester Theater are all within a comfortable driving distance for an afternoon or evening jaunt. As is Mass MoCA if you want to experience some art. If you enjoy cross country skiing, you can drive 45 minutes to Notchview, a wonderful spot in Windsor MA.
  • This was one of our favorite Airbnb experiences so far. Karen’s studio is beautiful with many thoughtful touches (granola!) and the location was perfect for our trip to Northampton and the Berkshires. Great communication, too! We’d absolutely stay again.

    Rebecca2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is just a terrific studio apartment. Quiet, pristine, and beautiful.

    Caroline2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little studio space with everything you need - full size bed, stove/oven, microwave, sink, coffee maker, etc. Very clean, space is well put together, and very quiet. One of my favorite Airbnb's I've stayed at anywhere. Perfect for a single person or couple.

    Kayla2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Karen's place. Once again I enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the studio and its setting in Leeds. Karen has thoughtfully designed the space, the decor, and all the amenities. A pleasure to be there.

    Marilyn2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s studio is a wonderful little spot! The apartment was bright and sunny with lots of natural light and very clean. We loved the close proximity to Northampton and Florence. And we really enjoyed all the creative touches Karen has added to the place! Thanks for everything!

    Kelsey2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Not only was Karen’s place stylish and simple, we were lucky enough to get to meet and chat with her for a few minutes when we arrived. She made us feel so comfortable and was happy to answer all of our questions about the awesome construction she had done herself on this great space. When we asked if we could stay for an additional night she responded quickly and positively, and her communication was always timely. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

    Anna2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place was perfect for our needs. She was super responsive and addressed our questions. The ease of bringing luggage in and out was a benefit. The shower was strong and hot. The bed is cozy with loads of blankets and flannel sheets for these cold winter nights. The temperature was perfect inside. We were able to have breakfast each morning with coffee provided by Karen. If you are a short term renter as we were, the price was quite reasonable and I imagine for a long term stay, this apartment would be more than adequate. Thank you for a great stay Karen.

    Nancy2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Karen has created a fabulous little studio perfect for 1 or 2 people in the lovely little village of Leeds. Close to the hilltowns for foliage viewing, and close to downtown for nights out or vacations to the region, this place works for a number of types of stays. The kitchen is beautifully renovated and her carpentry skills are evident. I would definitely recommend her space to others!

College graduations, reunions and parents weekends are right around the corner! Book our cabin on Hammond Pond for a little slice of heaven. Just 20 minutes from Northampton, this house situated on a lovely lake is a perfect place to unwind.
The downstairs has an open floor-plan where you can see the lake from every room. The kitchen is well-stocked with a full fridge, working stove -oven, microwave and dishwasher. Eat in the dining room or at our table on the screened in porch overlooking the water. Upstairs includes a loft-landing with a Queen-size bed and a bedroom with 2 singles and another Queen.
  • A pefect relaxing get-away that has everything you'd need and then some in a cozy and well decorated, well maintained cabin. Hope to come back soon!

    Jimmy2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Blue Cabin on Hammond Pond is a beautiful home away from home. We came in from Washington, DC for a dear friend's wedding and were immediately taken in by the amazing view of the pond and the cozy, rustic cabin. It really is a beautiful little home and a wonderful retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city. The screened-in porch is THE PLACE to be on a hot summer's day. The kitchen and bathroom are functional. The bedrooms are huge and beds are comfortable. Wonderful dining room table for family meals. We have an 8-month old and there was plenty of room for all of her baby gear including the pack 'n play, play mat, toys, high chair, changing pads, stroller, etc etc etc. The surrounding area is wonderful...I grew up in the area so I know the Williamsburg area well. Wonderful restaurants, bars, and lots of things to do. Very family friendly and lots of things to do if you are a nature, active-lifestyle person. Nunia was the most responsive host we have ever had on Airbnb. We communicated before, during, and after our stay and was helpful and lovely. She left wine, chocolate, and fresh coffee for us to enjoy. A wonderful host. We would absolutely stay again. 5 stars!

    Jesse2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • A picturesque lakeside retreat. Stunning views of the lake from the screened in porch. A perfect fall getaway! Very kid friendly too!

    Rima2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is secluded, quaint and lovely. The large backyard is great for families, has a large grill and is right on a big pond which was perfect for kayaking and swimming. There are many restaurants within a short drive. We also went whitewater rafting which was within a 30 minute drive. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and was perfect, and the owners could not have been more helpful. This is a wonderful place!!

    Steven2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for what we needed. I wish the weather had been a little warmer so we could enjoy the sunroom but the view was lovely in the morning regardless. The wifi is spotty so I suggest you bring a hotspot if you'll need it during your stay. Beds are comfy and kitchen is well stocked with appliances and tools. Nunia was very accommodating and nice!

    Nicole2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The little blue cabin is lovely. We were greeted by fresh flowers, fluffy towels and chocolate. The house was clean with good seating and dining areas. The bed we slept in was comfortable. We were happy to see that Nunia added pictures of the screened in porch to her listing - we lived on it. Reclining on the large couch watching the water was so relaxing (no power boats allowed on the pond). They had great access for launching our kayaks. It's a sweet little pond for swimming or paddling. We hope to go back for a longer visit soon.

    Ari2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Blue Cabin is everything you would expect about a lakeside cabin in the New England woods EXCEPT dampness, mold, spiders, and mice! It has a rustic feel while remaining clean and dry inside. There is a comfortable screen porch with direct views on the pond. The cabin appears to have been recently renovated: furnishings were comfortable, up-to-date bathroom fixtures, fresh paint. Nunia had put out fresh flowers and chocolate treats to welcome us. We would certainly recommend the Little Blue Cabin for those wishing to stay in the area.

In any season, this beautifully appointed house on Lower Highland Lake in Goshen would be a special destination as a solo retreat or for a small group. Motor boats not permitted, so the lake is clean and quiet. Nearby state park with hiking trails. Excellent bicycling territory. Winter cross-country skiing. Located only ten minutes from the lovely hilltowns of Ashfield and Williamsburg and only twenty minutes from Northampton, you'll have numerous opportunities for both nature and culture.
The house is new, with new appliances, and is fully outfitted for pleasant meals indoors or out on the deck or in the backyard, which has fireplace.
The house has close and friendly neighbors on either side, but the beach and dock is for your private use. Rowboat and rowing shell available on request for your use.
  • It was enchanting! The lake is beautiful and the house is very relaxing. No WiFi meant a nice relaxing time and the data on our cell phones worked fine. The neighborhood and lake are quieter than Ashfield, where we’ve stayed before and we liked that. A sweet escape for me and kids. 😊

    Hadar2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great, cozy cabin right on the lake. We stayed here comfortably with 4 adults and a 6 month old baby, and would definitely come back again! It feels very remote but is not to far from fun in Northampton and Williamsburg, and is right next to the beautiful DAR state park. Robin and Carol were very helpful and made sure we had a great stay.

I first would want all to know that this cottage is not winterized & is shut down til June 2020. I'm ready to take reservations for next year.... The cottage is quite large. We have a large indoor porch surrounded by large windows, a table that turns into snooker or some fun poker.. Many different chairs and a couch for relaxation or loads of fun.. also a outside porch with picnic table. Large dining room table for eats or board games. Direct tv is available. washer and dryer.
This unique stucco cottage built in 1924 retains its kitch and charm from when it was purchased in the 1960s. Enjoy a relaxed vintage like atmosphere with plenty of space. The large windows and forested views from the dining area give it a secluded feel.. The yard has outdoor picnic tables and a patioed fireplace (wood included) It's a 3 minute walk or you can drive to Windsor Pond for swimming fishing etc. You will find peace here..
You will have your own space. neighbors are short distance away and fantastic people if you like to mingle.
  • Linda was an excellent host, the cottage is really beautiful and made my birthday that much brighter. I really appreciated her tips on where to find the best places to swim and the kindling and wood for the fire pit. Thanks again, Linda!

    Palace2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda`s house is amazing, it is huge, very special and the location is absolutely beautiful. We spent some wonderful days there, swimming in the lake, making bonfires, exploring the beautiful surroundings in the Berkshires and on Mt. Greylock and just relaxing. A very good place and a great host! Thanks!

    Kerstin2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and Linda is over the top, with great senses of humor.

  • Good location couple minutes walk to a pond with a beach. 25 minutes to Adams. Quiet, large space. Relaxing getaway

    Chris2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, easy walk to the lake. Everything we needed and more

    Jennifer2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed three nights at Linda’s cottage, and after a little trouble finding the place, settled right in. The cottage is something of a 1960-1970’s time capsule, with a lot of the decor from that time. It’s a totally unique property and we had a blast staying there. A little musty when we arrived, but opening windows and putting on a fan took care of it. We swam every day in Windsor Pond and used the cottage as a home base for traveling to/from MassMOCA. Beautiful, scenic drives. Linda was incredibly hospitable, accommodating and open to feedback.

Our sunny apartment is located midway between Northampton and the Berkshires, in a lovely rural setting. The kitchen, bath and studio living area are in a private apartment, surrounded by 12 acres of open fields. The kitchen is well equipped and includes all the makings for tea and coffee. And breakfast is provided - usually in the form of fresh baked goods delivered to your door!
We're close to MassMoCA and the Clark, surrounded by lots of summertime swimming holes and wintertime skiing at Berkshire East, Notchview and Stump Sprouts.
  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Erin's carriage house, it exceeded our expectations. As many other reviews have mentioned, the muffins that Erin left for us in the morning were delicious, what a treat! There were also english muffins, juice, and lots of breakfast basics available in the kitchen. There is a gas heater that mimics a wood stove and it felt like coming home to a warm, lit fire in the fireplace. I cannot overstate how wonderfully cozy it made the space feel, especially after a long day of skiing. There are also a lot of nice, personal touches like artwork on the walls, children's toys and books, and a note with local recommendations. The space was very clean and had everything you might need. And the bedroom space is really large! My husband and I didn't need it but there is plenty of space for 4 people. We were in the area just to stay overnight so we could ski at Berkshire East the next day; the location was beautiful and perfect for us - just a quick 20 minutes to the mountain. We had a late arrival and Erin was very accommodating with the logistics of check in for us. She was also prompt and warm in all of our communication. On the way out we met Erin's husband, Kevin, who was lovely, as well. We only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the space! Thanks for everything, Erin and Kevin!

    Lindsay2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place is perfect for a quiet stay in Western Mass. We had a lovely dinner at Homestead in Northampton and fun winter nature walks near Mount Tom and the Saw Mill Hills Conservation area. And Mass MoCA. Erin left us sweet breakfast treats and the carriage house was warm and toasty for us, along with coffee, tea, milk and juice. It was our second time staying here and it's just a lovely, quiet home base to explore from. :)

    Becca2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at erin’s place was wonderful! The apartment was clean, had everything you could possibly need, and the property was absolutely beautiful! Waking up and looking out onto the field in the mornings covered in snow was amazing! This location is everything! Especially if you’re here during the winter months like I was. And the host brings you a homemade breakfast item every morning (ie muffins, granola, cinnamon rolls) can’t recommend enough if you’re staying in the area!

    Tully2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place is a beautiful, sparkling clean, restful retreat! This cozy apartment feels like a hideaway in the woods and the baked treat that Erin delivered in the morning, pumpkin muffins, was a delicious touch. I definitely recommend this place wholeheartedly!

    Leigh-Ellen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay. It’s just as described and even better. Spacious and cozy, with everything you need. The house is set in the beautiful countryside, and at night there were a million incredible stars. It’s also conveniently located to every place I needed to be. The best of both worlds. Erin is a thoughtful host and makes a great granola! Highly recommmend!

    Sara2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Erin’s place was terrific and the morning baked goods were really delicious and a kind touch! Would stay there again.

    Ken2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Although we only stayed at Erin’s apartment for one night, we really enjoyed being in this lovely, quiet, well appointed space which is in a pretty rural setting. Communication with the host was excellent and we appreciated the thoughtful home baking provided for us in the morning. We would recommend this lovely apartment to others.

    Peter2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Erin’s place is wonderful! Cozy, clean, comfortable, and every morning she leaves you a homemade treat :-). We were a family of four and were very comfortable there. We will definitely be back!
