Sunny and bright 🌞
Friendly and quiet street.
  • A quiet and simple stay, Michael was more than accommodating, and his place was just what I was looking for. Though the house and the neighborhood are mostly older construction, Michael was a thoughtful and warm host, the bed was plenty comfortable, and the neighborhood a quiet and peaceful escape from the city.

    Matthew2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was a great host. His little touches and small town heart made my stay so much better when I was in a tough point in my life. 10/10 would stay with again

  • One of the very best Airbnbs I have experienced. The hosts are so gracious and the beautiful home was impeccably clean. Super comfortable bed and so many little touches like a white noise machine, a basket of snacks and a carafe of water in the room. Lisa provided a lovely homemade continental breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

    Kat2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • I’ve stayed at plenty of airbnbs but this is the first review I’ve ever done. Quite often pictures are deceptive but not this time. Everything was immaculate, rooms are spacious and the house had everything we needed. Barb was super prompt to respond to my questions, had a plate of goodies ready for our arrival and even had the house decorated for the holidays which was a pleasant surprise since we invited family over for visits. I had wished for a full length mirror and then realized there was indeed a mirror hiding behind the bedroom door. She seems to have thought of everything. We hosted a family party which she kindly approved and also let me send packages to her house and she then delivered them to the rental. Just really above and beyond hospitality. Best part was that our dog could run and play catch in the big field in the back. This was a wonderful base while in town for the holidays.

    Kathy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place I’ve ever stayed. The house was perfectly clean and prepared for us even with Teo young children. Special touches like a toy box and play rug, homemade muffins and a set up portable crib for our baby with sweet sheets and blanket made us feel so taken care of. The yard and brook is gorgeous and we enjoyed getting to know one of the friendly neighbors who showed us his whole farm. Barb was over the top kind and thoughtful and we truly appreciated it. We have so much family in the area and would love to stay here again.

    Melissa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Barb’s place is wonderful. It is a short distant to Pittsburgh and other towns nice to visit. The garden is beautiful. Our dog had a great time! She is a great host. Thank you!

    Daniela2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very relaxing - clean- photos don’t really do any justice to the details they put in this place.

  • Great place.

    Archana2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Stoney Creek Bed & Breakfast. Barb was an amazing hostess. From the moment we checked in she had fresh cookies waiting for us, bones and a toy for our dog, and a pair of cozy socks and a treat on every bed. The space is gorgeous, and starting our mornings with a view of the creek and lush green spaces was a peaceful way to begin each day. The beds were comfortable, and the living room was perfect--our young children (1 &4) were able to play in the play nook, while we cooked, and there was a great selection of movies for us to entertain them with. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to going back!

    Rebecca Rawls2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This house is wonderful. It's modern, clean, well-stocked with everything you'd need, and set on a beautiful country lot with a creek and lots of land. Barb is a great hostess...she is friendly and helpful and only a quick text away if you need anything. We had our annual ladies' weekend there and already booked it again for next year. Highy recommend it!!

    Tracy2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely home in the countryside is well worth your consideration if you are visiting the Pittsburgh area. Do not pass it by due to it’s being a bit outside of town - it’s a short hop into downtown and a very easy drive. For those who do make the choice you are rewarded with an absolutely stunning home, sparkling and neat with wonderful, clean architectural lines and views of woodlands, a bridge and a proverbial “babbling brook.” In addition to the stunning setting, your host Barbara will welcome you with wonderful and warm touches of hospitality. For example: knowing it was our son’s graduation from CMU “Barb” left a thoughtful card, a small gift and some chocolate. Later, she stopped in with homemade chocolate-covered strawberries, which were delicious. As far as everyone in my family is concerned, Barb is the best! Sitting on the porch listening to the brook, watching wildlife and simply communing with nature are what’s on the agenda here, along with stillness and calm. So, definitely choose this beautiful, comfortable and well appointed home (there’s even a home theatre!) when planning a trip to Pittsburgh and environs. You will be glad you did!

Grandma Sang's Airbnb sits in a very quiet neighborhood. Lower Burrell has actually ranked as the 4th safest city in the state of Pennsylvania! It is right off of Route 28. Route 28 connects to Pittsburgh Zoo, Cultural District downtown, National Aviary, the highly ranked Children's Museum and more! Come and be ready for royal service and entertainment, plus a continental breakfast!
Grandma Sang's Airbnb is a named after my great grandmother, who was so clean that you could eat off her floor. My mother kept up with this matriarch tradition by raising my siblings and I with understanding of the importance of keeping a clean house. I am a historian and preservation advocate, which motivated me to dedicate this house to her! The guest expectation is that your honor this space by handling everything with care and leaving things the way it was found,
This neighborhood is great because there are so many things within walking distance. Right down the street there is an Aldi's, Giant Eagle Supermarket, Wine & Spirits, Sheetz, Kings Family Restaurant, and Walgreens. A half mile further there is a Denny's, Wendy's, Mexican restaurants, etc. Grandma Sang's is less than two miles from a beautiful park where you take nice hikes!
  • Dawn is a great host! I loved the place so much that I have extended my stay for another two months. She helped me a getting around a lot! Grandma Sang’s house is such a comfortable and clean space. I’m so lucky to have found this place as my first place near Pittsburgh. It’s 20 min drive from the downtown. There is a Sheetz right up the road. Plenty of eating places nearby. Also, no parking issues as you could use the right side of the driveway. Overall, a 5+ star place if I could rate on 5!

    Chin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was a great host! The room and bathroom were clean and plenty of space for us. Would recommend her anytime anyone is in the Pittsburgh area.

    Liz2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn is a lovely hostess. She took great care in making sure the room was super clean, comfy, and had plenty of storage. She made sure I had adequate storage space in the kitchen and bathroom as well. Her conservatory/sunroom is wonderful in the warmer months and we enjoyed watching the animals and enjoying nature there. I stayed there a number of months and can definitely recommend her home as a serene, cozy, and clean place to stay.

    Addie2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We have both enjoyed our stay in Dawn’s lovely home as well as spending time with her. We were both been made to feel very welcome indeed. The house is also immaculately clean and very comfortable. We had plenty of room to store our groceries and cook meals during our long term stay. We enjoyed the opportunity to go with her to Falling Water, to go out to eat with her a couple times, and to spend time with her and her family on the 4th of July. I appreciated the calm, quiet living situation as well as the opportunity to eat some meals or just relax in her conservatory. It is nice to watch the birds, chipmunks and random other wildlife in the back yard while relaxing in the covered outdoor area. We sat out there when it was raining a couple times which was an enjoyable experience. If you want a nice relaxing and welcoming environment to stay in, I recommend Dawn’s home. We will definitely be staying with her again!

    Addie2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • This stay will be one of the best experiences you’ll have doing Airbnb. Dawn was such an amazing host, kind, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. The house is absolutely fantastic and a treasure of the area! There are a few things that could be done to complete the experience there, but nothing that makes it any less than perfect. When driving up to the house there are very large trees out front that are a good point of reference to finding the place. And when parking , please stay to the right side of the drive. Towards the end if possible. This will allow her to enter and exit with her vehicle.

Clean and comfortable home on the Kiskeminetas River. Walk or drive to restaurants and shops in Leechburg. Float, kayak and fish on the river all within a 40 minute drive to downtown Pittsburgh and 15 minutes from Lingrow Farm.
    River access
  • 156 Banfield Rd is truly a treat. From beginning to end, there was nary a snag in our experience with Leah and her parents. The trouble with Leechburg is that there aren't a lot of hotels nearby. I certainly hope there will be availability the next time I need to stay in the area for an extended time.

  • Great stay, great communication easy check in and out.

    Kirk2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's a cozy home that can comfortably sleep 4. Leo was very generous in inviting us to their campfire and spaghetti dinner! The view by the Kiskamintas River is outstanding.

  • Such a quiet and restful place in a beautiful part of the country. This place worked out perfect for my trip and I will definitely try to book it again when I come back this way next year. Clean, well stocked, easy communication... 5 Stars out of 5 Stars!

    Roger2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful, quiet spot by the river. Very cool to sit by the river, and walk around to see the old plant and mine down the street. Very convenient to Leechburg.

    Dan2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous location on the river. Away from traffic so nice and quiet, serene.

    Kelsey2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet little home by the river is exactly what we needed. We loved having coffee on the porch in the mornings watching the fog lift of the river. Our kids enjoyed the large yard and walking down to the water. The home had everything we needed.

  • Vincent’s place was an amazing ecperience! He had a very friendly dog and vincent made us some delicious breakfast also. He was a very knowledge oriented person and we had great conversations about various things. And his place was clean and very spacious. We had a great stay. Thank You Vincent :)

  • Vincent was very welcoming! His house is nice & clean. The neighborhood was quiet. We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning & didn't really get a chance to enjoy his company but we did enjoy speaking with him. It is a short drive into Pittsburgh and easily accessible. Thank you, Vincent, for your hospitality!

    Kim2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Vincent was such a great host. The house is absolutely beautiful. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed with wine and a tour of the house. He cooked breakfast for us twice. The conversation was great.

    Michelle2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Vincent's historic Tudor home was wonderful! My family and I had the perfect stay. Vincent was a terrific and welcoming host. He was so fun and interesting to talk to, it felt as if we had known him for years. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom as well as the rest of the home was spotlessly clean. The house is located on a quiet and charming street that is conveniently near restaurants and shops. We highly recommend Vincent's home and look forward to staying here again!

    Langley2019-10-19T00:00:00Z

Wonderful country living located in lower Burrell Pa, walking distance to a beautiful waterfall, a park, streams and a river. Take a hike in acres of wooded land, catch some big fish on the Allegheny river. Wake up in this light bright loft living area. Kick on the wood pellet stove and read a book while staring into the woods. Approximate 25 minute commute to downtown Pittsburgh.
Tons of light and extreme privacy, peace and quite at its finest as you hang out in the reading loft overlooking the living room.
    Quite country like living.
  • Great location for Us. Adam was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. Plenty of towels & nice bedding. The kitchen was equip with the basic that we needed to cook breakfast each morning. Very enjoyable stay!

  • Wonderful! We loved the house and the host was great. Clean comfy beds, great living space and a beautiful & equipped kitchen. We will be booking again.

    Kimberly2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean quiet and had everything you could need for hanging out with you family. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. The inside was very open with lots of space to sit eat and relax. It was also close to so many hiking and mountain biking trails to explore. Pittsburgh wasn’t that far away to add in some city experiences.

    Jamie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a tastefully decorated home, with beautiful decor. Our family enjoyed the cool loft with a seating area, as well as the wicker swing in the living room, and warming by the pellet stove. We enjoyed having the kitchen and pans to use for our meals. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap and fresh white towels were a plus. This was perfect for our needs and about 20 minutes to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium where we had an awesome time seeing the baby monkey, and baby leopards, and the many other animals.

An waterfront home with wrap around decks overlooking the Allegheny River with stunning views and privacy. Boat dock accommodates your water toys and infrequent train passing's keep you entertained. (For the movie buffs, “Striking Distance” film location for some bridge and water scenes.)
This home is located along the Allegheny river in Freeport. It is quiet and tranquil.
  • Sparkling clean interior. Peaceful location.

    Melissa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • It’s the perfect getaway! There are unique touches everywhere you look!

    Liz2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures do not do this place justice! The house and property are absolutely beautiful. I would imagine that someone built this house for themselves, there are so many loving thoughtful touches through out the house. The layout of the house is extremely well thought out. We used the house to explore Pittsburgh for the weekend and we were not sorry! It’s extremely easy to get to and was cheaper than a hotel room. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need, the coffee machine is a keurig if you want to bring your own coffee. Our only regret was not spending enough time at the house relaxing!

    Maureen2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Allegheny Oasis was an amazing place to stay and we loved the location. It is right under a train bridge so there’s the occasional train overhead but we thought that added to its charm. The house and grounds were just well beyond our expectations. If I could give more than five stars, I would. The views were brilliant too!

    Stephanie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do the experience justice. While I was eventually (pleasantly) surprised by the late night trains, that didn't even detract from the view and the privacy. It really is an oasis. We felt completely comfortable at all times. The kitchen has everything (except food, of course) needed to feel at home awayfrom home. I look forward to going back!

Agritourismo USA! We have a comfortable room; with two cozy twin beds and a shared full bathroom. Enjoy a bit of farm life. Experience how food is produced with our diverse farm animals, community vegetable farm, and the chance to help the crew. Great fresh meals!
Our 1950's stone ranch house is set right in the middle our 85 acre organic farm. With comfortable, family friendly accommodations, our guests can settle in and feel right at home. The guest bedroom has two comfortable twin beds, a dresser, ceiling fan, and shared bathroom. We provide linens and towels.
Our township takes pride in it's agricultural heritage - with lots of green rolling hills and winding roads - you'll know you're in the country - but still so close to Pittsburgh! There's rails-to-trails, local winerys, parks, and a few antique stores close to our town. Of course, Pittsburgh is only 30-40 minutes down the road. Day trips to the Laurel Highlands or Allegheny National Forest are very doable from our farm. We have mainstream grocery stores nearby and a few big box stores not too far away. We're also only 15 minutes from a great natural foods distributor. We're the place to go for farm fresh, local and organic foods in the area!
  • Jennifer and Gregg have a special slice of heaven that they generously share with visitors. This was my second time staying at their farm. Warm and cozy home, best bacon in the world, awesome family!

    Gayle2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and her family are wonderful hosts. We felt like part of the family. If you're interested in learning more about farming, this is a great place to stay. Very comfy beds and tasty waffles!

    Richard2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is in the upstairs of the farmer's house with a bath shared with other guests if the other room is also booked. The family is welcoming and yet stays out of your way if that is what you like. It was perfect for me since I am a former farmer and I fit right in. The farmhouse is somewhat secluded and very quiet. What a terrific place to stay. I'll be back if I get in the area again.

    Harry2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here with Jen and Greg. They were welcoming hosts and we got to learn a little bit about the organic farm. Had a peaceful sleep listening to the crickets. We also stocked up on some great organic meat and produce for the trip home!

Our lovely Victorian farmhouse was built in the 1800's and still has the original wood floors, trim and hardware. The bedroom offered has a desk, dresser, queen bed, TV with cable and wifi. Room is on the second floor so you must be able to climb stairs. The bedroom has a lovely curved staircase leading to it off of the kitchen. There are 2 bathrooms. The Downstairs bathroom has a curved shower stall. The Upstairs bathroom has a clawfoot tub. (bathrooms are shared) Next to the house sits the original summer kitchen which we now use as our woodshop. We have a large farmhouse kitchen complete with all the modern amenities and an old fashion wood cookstove. The covered Veranda is wonderful for sitting to enjoy nature including the nearby bird feeders, a rainstorm or even watching tv. Guests can sit under the Cantina gazebo as well to enjoy the outdoors. A large fire ring is next to the Cantina and pond for you to enjoy. A private Yoga Class or Massage can be scheduled for an additional cost if our schedule permits. Cathleen and Phil are both vegetarian and love cooking and baking, but aren't always available to do that for guests (please ask ahead)
We are 5 minutes from the quaint town of Saxonburg with shops including a coffee shop, bakery and several places to eat (our favorite is the Saxonburg Hotel built in 1832 and includes a tavern, patio, live music and great food) Our home is just 5 minutes from the Butler Freeport Rails to Trails for biking/running (there is the lovely Derailleur Bike Shop Cafe along the trail which offers food ..... try their gourmet grilled cheese or a tamale! along with espresso drinks and more) 15 minutes away is Todd Sanctuary with several trails thru the woods. Moraine state park is 25 minutes away and offers fishing/boating/biking. Glade Mill Lake is just 10 minutes away and offers a place to put in your kayaks or fish. • Love loved loved her house !!! The pictures do not do it justice! It is beautifullly decorated and smelled SO CLEAN! You wouldn't even know she has a dog! Speaking of the dog , I am super scared of them but her is silence as a mouse. She also kept him with her the entire time so honestly if I didnt notice the dog eating area in the kitchen I honstkg wouldn't have know she had one. She was very responsive to messages. I recommend her home for sure. My friend and I stayed in the room with the 2 beds and thebeds are much larger than what it looks in the pictures.

Ever hear of champing? It's camping, but in a church. Yes, it's a real thing. Champing At The Clement is a memorable and fun occasion for the family. Especially over the holidays! Bond with the family, heck, bring the whole clan!!! Hot showers and pet-friendly. This event will make memories and an impression on all your family. We will provide all bedding, wifi, bathrooms, kitchen, and many other amenities. Pizza and other catering options are available. Low weekday rates. Great value!
The Clement is a historic church built in 1903. We feature hot showers and pet-friendly spaces.

  • Unique opportunity to stay at a historic church.

    Christopher J.2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very fun, unique space! So many possibilities if you get creative. The shower was great. Beautiful parts to the building. Pretty much what you’d expect from the pictures. Worth noting, at least at the time we went, no freezer or oven. Good to know if you’re planning on cooking in the kitchen.

    Chelsea2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our family loved staying here! It was big enough for everyone and it had a nice bonus living space upstairs with a TV and couches. Also I think it was great that it was dog friendly! That was a huge part of our decision on staying here. If I were to stay in a big group again I’d bring my own blow up mattress because there wasn’t enough cots for everyone but there was enough mats to make it work. My only complaint is I wish the kitchen had a burner or oven but you can’t beat the value!

    Zoe2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay lots of room for everyone.

    Edmundo2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very unique place to stay. Great for large groups.

    Maria2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Clement was the best place for our youth missions team! Our students and adults loved it and we’re totally sold on “Champing” now! Phillip was great and answered all of our questions and made sure that we had everything we needed!

    Jeremiah2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This space is amazing! Philip is very prompt to respond and has made arrival and space use very simple and straightforward. All of the camping gear is clean and well-organized for quick and easy set-up. The space itself is beautiful and resonant and very well maintained. The sound system is strong and clear, adding excellent atmosphere to your gathering. If you have a large group and really want to camp without worrying about the weather, check out this unique camping experience.

  • David's house was a fantastic place to stay for exploring the area of Pittsburg. It is located in the middle of nature, in a quiet place. It is 35 minutes drive from downtown. All of the decorative touches are so nice and made for a lovely stay. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we had a hard time leaving. I would strongly recommend to a friend in a heartbeat and will hopefully stay there for any plans of visiting Pisstburg or any surrounding areas.

Come one, come all to our new home in suburban Pittsburgh. We are long-time site users who stayed in a different AirBNB every night on our 3 week road trip honeymoon last year. We recently just purchased our home and want to share it with other travelers. We have driveway parking reserved for you in our extremely quiet and safe neighborhood. We will be there to greet you and you can use almost anything (or any room) in the house ... including the Sleep Number bed in your private, cozy room.
We have a newly updated and modernized home with a spare bedroom and bathroom solely dedicated to AirBNB guests. We mostly like to brag about having a SleepNumber bed for our guests but also have a large, private bathroom, WiFi, TVs in every room with Netflix (and the likes), two friendly dogs (or a big stuffed one if you are allergic to the real things), a kitchen, dining room and den that we don't mind you using. Private driveway parking is a big thing for us as well and we make a point to genuinely at least say hello and show you the place even if you prefer privacy from there on out.
Extremely safe and quiet neighborhood on a private roundabout street with extremely friendly neighbors and a backyard full of woods. 30 minutes exactly into almost ANY part of Pittsburgh you may need to go ... Downtown, Lawrenceville, North Shore, South Side, Oakland, Highland Park (only 25 min), Squirrel Hill (35 min). Reserved driveway parking for you. There is a Walgreens, Giant Eagle (massive grocery store), K-Mart, Aldi, Sheetz (look it up), Taco Bell and several other stores/restaurants that are all within a 5-10 minute walk ... or 30 second drive ... from the house. There is also a massive shopping district/mall called the Pittsburgh Mills which is a 10 minute drive which has essentially anything you could need or want. If you are going in the opposite direction from the city we are 30 minutes from the Monroeville Convention Center and 40 minutes or less for all destinations in Greensburg.
  • Awesome space host couldn't have been more accommodating.

  • Fascinating house and a very lovely couple.

  • AJ and Sarah were extremely friendly and accommodating. I had a comfortable sofabed in the basement, while my mother had the bedroom upstairs. Each had access to a bathroom, while the shower was located in the basement. My Mom wasn't really a dogs person, but AJ put his two dogs away when we were going in and out. Keep in mind you will get dog hair all over your clothes if you sleep on the sofabed but that's no big deal. The place is a 25 min ride away from downtown Pittsburgh but is unbeatable for value. We're supposed to come to Pittsburgh several times over the next year so this seems to be an excellent option for the next time. Thanks AJ and Sarah! Hopefully next time we'll get to explore the huge movie collection in the basement!

  • AJ's place was a great stay for my trip to Pittsburgh. The dogs were really sweet and you have to check out his Laserdisc collection.

Agritourismo USA! We have two comfortable rooms; one with a cozy double bed and private bathroom, and another with two comfortable twin beds and bathroom down the hall.
The master guest bedroom has a comfortable antique double bed, dresser, ceiling fan, and private bathroom. The second, smaller room has two twin beds, dresser, chair and ceiling fan. Guest also have access to a full bath, just down the hall. We provide linens and towels.
Our township takes pride in it's agricultural heritage - with lots of green rolling hills and winding roads - you'll know you're in the country - but still so close to Pittsburgh! There's rails-to-trails, local winery's, parks, and a few antique stores close to our town.
  • Lovely farm house on a working farm. Everything was fresh and clean. Interesting art and books. Pigs, chickens, roosters and bunnies to visit- and very nice people too. Would definitely return. :-)

  • Staying on the farm was so enjoyable. The fresh eggs and bacon were a wonderful bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Jen and Greg are superhosts. The bunny just had new baby, kids had a lot fun exploring the farm.

    Bo2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised

    Michael2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's big farmhouse is off the beaten path, for sure, but worth the trip through lovely country. Cozy rooms decorated with antiques, plus a busy family kitchen and big dining table give this home lots of charm. We enjoyed our brief stay, the morning coffee and tour of the farm.
