The cottage is very well equipped and is furnished to a high standard with access to private patio area overlooking a woodland habitat which enjoys a wide variety of wildlife. Nestled in the Kent countryside you will find this traditional oak framed self-catering hideaway with luxury finishes and beautiful surroundings. With stunning view and the historic village of Chilham just a short walk away, Copse Corner is an ideal location to explore the Garden of England. Set within the 4 acres of the Owners property and adjoining a private woodland and meadow, this is a perfect romantic retreat for a holiday or stolen weekend away and also a wildlife watcher's paradise! Copse Corner features a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen has a country feel with Smeg induction hob and compact oven/microwave, a small fridge freezer, Nespresso machine with selection of capsules. A further separate utility room is available with a washing machine and laundry facilities. The living area features a wood-burning stove, especially useful on those chilly autumn nights, and a free supply of logs. The comfy seating area is an ideal place to relax and unwind, with a small selection of books and games available. Duck down through the quirky low doors to access the patio which is set in a quiet corner adjacent to the woodland and meadow. The bistro table and chairs offer the perfect spot to enjoy the birdsong and fresh country air, you may even catch a glimpse of the pheasants as well as other wildlife. Maybe take the opportunity to dine al fresco or enjoy breakfast (with the Owners' hens providing the eggs, when available). A dedicated parking space is available near to the Owners property. The Owners live close-by and are on hand should you need them, but otherwise will not disturb your stay. A warm welcome awaits our visitors who we are sure will have a truly memorable holiday. If we are not on-site please do not hesitate to call or text on our mobiles The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a short walk from the historic village of Chilham with its Tudor period homes, tea room, 2 pubs and gift shop. Canterbury is a short car or train journey away. Within easy reach of London (37 minutes by high speed train from St Pancras to Ashford followed by a connection to Chilham Railway station). A peaceful setting to sit back and enjoy, or for those seeking something more energetic, try the walks and cycle routes nearby. A car is not essential for your stay as we are approximately 1 mile from the mainline railway at Chilham. Although trains can be few and far between so please check timetables before deciding on this option.

Chilham features a beautifully preserved medieval square. Just off the Square: - Chilham Castle with its landscaped gardens & parkland - Medieval St Mary's Church - 4000-year-old Juliberrie Barrow. - Tea rooms - Woolpack Inn - White Horse Inn Other local highlights: - Local vineyard with tours - Chilham Lake (fishing) - Kings Wood & Downs - cycle & walk Chilham train station is a 10 minute walk from the property with links to Ashford International (10 mins) and the high speed line to St Pancras in London from Ashford (35 minutes). Canterbury is 10 minutes in the other direction, onward to Margate (about 25 minutes). If you have a day out in London the last trains leave London around 0015. The main bus stop in Chilham is a 4 minute walk from the property with buses to Ashford and Canterbury . If you go out in Canterbury for the evening, the last train back is around 2240 and if you are out later, taxis are available back to Chilham at a cost of around £15-£20.

The Cart Shed at South Barn

A top-notch conversion of a small flint and brick cart shed alongside a beautifully restored 300-yearold oak barn. It feels private too, with its own little courtyard garden, colourful borders, terracotta pots, teak table and chairs – catch the morning rays with an al fresco breakfast. Inside all is fresh, bright, light and comfortable. Beautiful oak floors are toasty underfoot, there are chunky beams, thick fabrics, white sofas, French doors out the courtyard and heaps of books. The bedroom makes great use of the space with its fine painted bed, so settle down with best linen, feather and down duvets, views across the garden, and a fully-tiled walk-in shower that’s state of the art. A generous welcome basket includes a bottle of wine should you be staying the week, the flat-screen TV comes with oodles of DVDs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen in one corner and kind owners next door to provide continental breakfast or evening meals should you want them; lovers will take root. There’s walking through woods and paths for the more adventurous, and Canterbury Faversham and Whitstable are near. Nearby Ashford has high speed train link to london only 38 miutes away. Charming.

Relax in my minimalist and modernised Victorian apartment in central Canterbury completely privately all for yourself. The area is away from the city noise but at the same time only a 10min walk to the city centre for the Cathedral and the highstreet. The perfect balance. It is only a 3min walk from the Canterbury city Roman walls, the castle, Canterbury EAST St., an ALDI supermarket and the best fish and chips in the city 'Papas'. You can park your car too with a dedicated parking space.

We would describe our apartment as spacious, comfortable, full of character, with all the modern conveniences needed for an enjoyable stay. Split over 2 storeys the accommodation is entirely self contained and covers the upper 2 floors of a Grade 2 listed building with a wealth of original features such as leaded windows, beams, wooden doors and staircase.
