  • A group of us have been working locally and needed a bigger place to stay after our group size increased. Neal and Tracey's place was ideal. After some long cold days on the boat there were plenty of showers for us to jump into, great laundry facilities for us to wash and dry our clothes in and a table long enough that we could turn one end into the site office and still sit and eat at the other! Lots of space for each of us to spread out in the very generous rooms and we have all talked about returning here for holidays with friends and their families. What a great space.

    Hayley2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at St Anne’s - Neal and Tracey have such a special place in Plymouth. Amazing facilities that cater to a large group and multiple spaces (bar area, pool, lawn plus inside spaces) for people to relax and enjoy. Communication was amazing - everything that we needed was catered for and they were both super easy to get hold of. Highly recommend St Anne’s, and hopefully we’ll be back soon!

    Olivia2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house is everything we needed and more! A fun weekend Away with lots of friends and family and this house made it! Neil and Tracy were incredibly accommodating. Would definitely go back again!!

    Charlotte2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned home after a weekend stay here for my mother’s 50th birthday. After looking through the photos of the house we were very excited to visit, and WOW the photos didn’t do this house justice. Neil and Tracey were amazing throughout our stay and always on hand to help with anything. As a group of 18 of us everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay, just 1 unfortunate thing is that our stay wasn’t long enough! Wouldn’t hesitate in booking again!

    Liam2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Neal and Tracey were the best hosts, unfortunately we got stuck in bad traffic on the way down to Plymouth due to road closures so we arrived very late but Tracey very kindly stayed up to welcome us. The pictures do not do the house justice and the views are exceptional, we will definitelybe staying again very soon.

    Chloe2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING HOUSE! Neal and Tracey were so welcoming and kind, couldn't have asked for a better trip for my friends and I. Would definitely recommend !

    Tatum2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Neal and Tracey's place is so beautiful, i'm so glad I picked this house for my niece's first birthday. The pool and hot tub was amazing! We felt at home walking around and enjoying the scenery which you don't get much of in London. The house is very clean and spacious, with a warm ambience. I can't wait to rebook it again next year!

  • Cute little apartment, centrally located for ease yet on quiet street. Everything you need, and comfy bed and sofa bed which is very important. Being a ground floor flat, you can hear the walking around of the flat/ house above which isn’t a problem but something to be aware of. Tom was very helpful and accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay!

We built this room to enjoy the view. And now you can too. From inside or out on the balcony you look down the Yealm estuary towards the sunset. It is just a studio, but rest assured, it is like no other. PS, Yes we had called it the Garden Room b4
Welcome to our room with a view. We built this room in 2015 to take full advantage of the view down the estuary of the River Yealm towards the sun setting in the West. If your idea of getting way involves a bit of fun, a splash of adventure and more than a hint of luxury then we think you may well be happy here. It is a simple 1 room studio with a wall of glass which folds back so you can step straight onto the deck overlooking the water or to the covered terrace at the side. When it is warm you can really open up the space to the outside. There is electric heating for when its colder. It has a wet room shower, basin and WC. But be warned you have to step out on the terrace to access it, so bring a dressing gown. Being a studio there isn't a full kitchen, just a kettle, coffee maker and a microwave. And you will have to step out again to do your washing up in the Belfast sink on the terrace. All this is in our lower garden between the lane and the estuary. We are one of the last houses in the village before the lane heads off through the woods to the sea, joining up with the South West Coastal Path. Keen walkers will not be disappointed. Gourmands may well want to wander back the other way into the village to dine at the renowned Ship Inn. Or you can come and join us, we run the Noss Mayo Tea Gardens on our upper terrace on summer weekends. Inside you will find plenty of soft furnishings made by Kathryn and some of Kathryn and Andy's driftwood art. We hope you find Noss Mayo as creative and inspiring a place as we do. Because it has been so carefully created we do ask for a cleaning fee, to help keep it that way. Dogs are welcome, but try and keep them off the cushions….. we do ask a higher cleaning charge for those of you bringing dogs, please read all about in the house rules section. Thanks.
Noss Mayo is quite a spot, a narrow estuary village, about as beautiful as any piece of England, make sure you spend 1 evening just sitting on the terrace as the sun goes down. You will go away with memories (and sand in the car footwells).
  • A beautiful studio right on the estuary perfect for a couple. Loved waking up to this view every morning! Kathryn has thought of everything you’d need for your stay with lots of thoughtful little touches such as dressing gowns and slippers. Despite storm Dennis making an appearance whilst we were there, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The view was incredible. So relaxing!

    Tony2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, exactly as expected with some lovely extra touches. We loved our stay. Thank you!

    Charlotte2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I wasn’t sure what to expect from the little village of Noss Mayo, but the River Room and Kathryn herself exceeded all of them. Not only did she treat me like family, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. From driving tips for the narrow Devon roads, to guiding me across the estuary at low tide, this was definitely an adventure I won’t soon forget. She is thoughtful and kind, and it shows in every nook and cranny of the River Room. I sincerely hope I’ll find myself in Noss Mayo again sometime!

    Betsy2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • From the minute we arrived it was total relaxation. Such a special spot, perfect for getting away from it all for a few nights. Lovely accommodation and we will be back to enjoy it again but in the summer with any luck.

Calm and cosy double room in a pleasant Victorian terraced house on a quiet residential street. Close to parks and cycle routes From here you can walk to the city centre, the Barbican, the National Marine Aquarium, the Theatre Royal and University Campus.
Typical of the houses in this area and of this period, my place has large rooms with high ceilings, ornate fireplaces and attractive original features. You will have your own neutrally decorated, light and spacious lockable double bedroom.
I'm in a quite residential neighbourhood with a park loved by dog walkers and tennis courts on my doorstep. There is several retail parks very close. The Dartmoor national park is a 20 min drive from the front door.

  • The apartment was very modern and clean. A nice bathroom with a big shower. The bed was really comfortable although there was a dip in the middle of the bed, I think a slat might have been missing. The apartment is in a good location, and the host and housekeeper were very helpful and accommodating.

  • A perfect stay in the middle of all the tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend and also come again over my next breaks too. I would give 5 stars to location, cleanliness, convenience and staff communication. Pros: 1. Parking was right outside the entrance. Andy who manages house keeping responded quickly in guiding our way to the apartments. 2. The kitchen is packed in a very impressive compact cabinet that had everything we needed including the dish washer tablets. They even provided a small bottle of fresh milk, cooking oil, extra sugar which was very thoughtful. 3. The entire flat including the toilet were very clean and well maintained. 4. Check in was made very easy with accessible codes. 5. We got out of the flat and the beautiful coast was right there with walking distance to all the touristy spots. 6. They even left an extra bed in the flat which was very thoughtful. Drawbacks: 1. The rooms are not as big as advertised. The room has a queen size bed ideal for a couple. With the sofa bed one could push to 3 guests, but not ideal for 4 guest. I felt a bit crammed with 4 of us. 2. Toilet is very tiny, you almost have to play Tetris to get in and out. 3. Flat 1a only had neighbouring building views and not the sea view. All flats in the building are advertised under the sea view title but read details if the flat you are interested in is even facing one. I was charged £30 for an additional Person by mistake, but as Steve learnt about it he immediately arranged refunds. It had been very easy communicating with Steve and Andy. Thank you both of you for making our stay pleasant. Overall a thumbs up!! I am definitely coming back again making sure flat is definitely facing the sea.

  • This is a beautiful apartment in a fabulous location of Plymouth. It is the perfect location for walking to the many attractions that Plymouth has to offer. The apartment is tastfully decorated and furnished and clean. The bed is extremely comfortable and the sheets, pillows and towels are of high quality. Heating and hot water can be boosted if required. The kitchen area is a fantastic idea as it can be closed off behind doors when relaxing in the sitting room area. There is a dishwasher and dishwasher tablets provided as are tea towels and dish cloths etc. Coffee pods for the Nespresso machine were provided and additional ones could be purchased through the housekeeping team. A thoughtful touch was the fresh milk in the fridge for our arrival. The shower cubicle has a huge shower head providing lashings of hot water. There is high quality shampoo and conditioner provided as is the liquid soap and hand and body lotion. Toilet roll is replenished on request. Permit parking, which can be purchased prior to arrival, is right outside the front door. The front door and door to the apartment has a digital key code which were easy to use. Movement sensor lighting is provided from entering the main front door all the way through to the apartment front door. All in all a highly recommend stay. Thank you Steve!

Located in a quiet, friendly, family neighbourhood situated near to the city centre. We have a rang of parks near by that are great for running and activities. We have a few local shops and take-aways down the road, and we are few minutes walk to a bus stop with frequent busses into the city centre. We have on old springer spaniel called Oscar. He loves a good cuddle but is very quiet and stays out of the way! Our rooms are lovely and we are very welcoming to all!
We have 5 rooms. One is occupied by myself (the land lady) and from time to time I have contractors living with me or my daughter comes to visit. Otherwise it is pretty quiet!
The parks in the neighbourhood are lovely. I spend a lot of my time walking the dog so it's great for me. We are a short walk to town and there are a lot of lovely places on the way. There is a little coffee shop on Ebrington Street that I love. I am happy to recommend lots of places and tell you the best spots when you come to stay.
  • Another lovely stay, and well looked after by Karen again. Planning my next visit.

  • A warm welcome with a smile is always a good start. Karen the landlady could not have done more to make my stay just perfect. Its all in the details as the saying goes, here at Shannon’s place there lots of subtle nice touches to make the experience a very present one. This is a great example of what B&Bs aspire to be. And that’s a lot of B’s.

    Charles2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • d like to thank karen for being an amazing host lovely fresh clean room comfy bed and a very stress free stay And Oscar is a lovey dog too i would highly recommend staying here so much so i stayed an extra week 5 stars thank you

    Louise2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Shannon's place so much that I decided to extend my stay twice. As I mentioned in my first review, her mother is an outstanding host and I'll surely come back again in the near future when I'm in the UK.

    Marquan2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon's mother, Karen, was very welcoming, and I was spoilt with several cups of tea. A lovely room, and good location - 20 minute walk into town. Free on street parking. Relaxing breakfast in the morning. Looking forward to my next stay.

    Jeff2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon’s mom, Karen, was the perfect host. The house was really welcoming and the rooms looked amazing and were really comfy! Communication was great and Karen was really friendly and helpful. I only stayed for one night but would have greatly appreciated staying longer. I felt very much at ease and I was even offered a light breakfast. I would greatly recommend Shannon and Karen if you are looking for a place to stay in Plymouth.

Smart and spacious throughout, Torvale Lodge is a 6 bed fully detached property that’s ready to welcome up to 12 friends, family or work colleagues seeking somewhere special to stay in Devon. All rooms are beautifully presented and well maintained, and there’s plenty of outside space for relaxing, BBQ-ing and taking a dip in the jacuzzi. (Please note that to use the facilities on the sundeck, there is a £70.00 additional fee) The entire bungalow will be all yours for your stay.
THE SPACE As you cruise up the private illuminated driveway and get your first glance of Torvale Lodge, a fully detached 6 bedroom bungalow close to Plymouth, you’ll know you made the right decision to stay here. Accommodating up to 12 guests, the big car park means there’s plenty of space for everyone to park, take a deep breath after a long journey and get ready to relax. Because that’s what this property is designed to help you do. Just one glance at the huge sofas in the lounge and you won’t be able to resist sitting or lying down. You can all gather in here to socialise, maybe watch the widescreen TV or just catch some me-time. The kitchen/diner is next to the lounge and it’s in here that you will find everything you need to cater for a group or just look after yourself. There are 2 cookers, 2 dishwashers (so no one need waste precious time washing up) and plenty of storage space across 6 larders and 6 fridge/freezers. There’s also a 55 inch smart TV in here and a dining table that seats 8. Onto the super 6 bedrooms, all of which are smartly furnished and well equipped, each with its own smart TV and built-in DVD player. Like the rest of the house, you’ll have unlimited access to super fast BT broadband which can handle the demand even if all 12 guests go online at once. One of the rooms has an ensuite, so if you’re the one who wins the draw to pick their bedroom first, go for room 3, but really all 6 rooms will delight all guests. When it comes to freshening up, as well as the ensuite, there’s a family bathroom, plus two shower rooms and a further WC, plenty to avoid any queues in the mornings or evenings. And what of the outside? There’s plenty here too including a smart timber sun deck that’s a real sun trap and has a fridge for your drinks plus a gas barbecue. There are also patio areas at the front and back of the lodge. Look out for the brand new mini-golf course, ready for use in Easter 2020! A couple of other spaces worth mentioning are the secure bike shed, soon to have a mixture of pushbikes, scooters & go-karts for you to use later this year, and the laundry room where you’ll find washers and dryers, handy for those longer stays. GUEST ACCESS If you book the whole lodge, your group of up to 12 will have full and exclusive use of the property and its extensive gardens. Rooms at Torvale Lodge can be let out on an individual basis, depending on availability. As this is a bungalow, there is step-free access to the property and plenty of parking for all guests. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS The hosts of Torvale Lodge are happy to leave you to enjoy their beautiful property for the duration of your booking. However, should you require assistance or have questions, their contact details will be provided. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Torvale Lodge is fully cleaned before and after every booking. For contractors staying long-term, mid-stay cleans can be arranged for an extra fee. Please note that to use the facilities on the sundeck, there is a £70.00 additional fee. The hot tub is subject to availability on one night stays. This property is hosted by LouiseLewis Holidays. HOUSE RULES No smoking anywhere in the property. Pets are allowed to stay in the house as long as they are kept downstairs, a small extra fee will occur. No loud noise between 10PM and 7AM. No events are to be held in the house, especially hen or stag parties. Children are welcome to stay, but please let us know in advance how many will be staying so we can make the necessary arrangements. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Nestling on the outskirts of Brixton just five minutes east of Plymouth, Torvale Lodge is a fully detached property in a beautiful part of Devon. There is so much to enjoy in the lodge, but outside its grounds you will find pretty waterside villages and sandy beaches to explore and enjoy nearby. The nearest village has a great pub and fish&chip shop plus a restaurant too. And you’ll definitely want to take a trip into Plymouth while you’re here - it’s just a 10 minute drive away, so all of the following any many more attractions are within easy reach: Plymouth city centre’s shops, bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues (including the Theatre Royal), Plymouth Business District, Plymouth Seafront and Plymouth Hoe. You will also be close to Dartmoor and other areas of natural beauty.
  • I can highly recommend this wonderful property. Immaculately clean and spacious with amazing facilities. Right from making the initial booking the service provided by the host has been exemplary, with a special mention to Madi who helped with all my questions promptly and efficiently and met us at the property to take us through everything. Great location with easy route into to the city, took about 10-15 minutes , there is a supermarket about 5 minutes away. I truly cannot fault anything about our stay and look forward to returning again in the future

  • It has EVERYTHING you could want! The place was beautifully clean and well equipped, the hot tub was lovely, there were amble glasses / cups / cooking equipment / fridge space and having two dishwashers meant it was really easy to keep on top of things. I visited Harry's garden this time, and a lot of blooming flowers are very beautiful. The nearby supermarket is also very convenient for shopping, very good location, I think I will continue to stay next time. Thanks

Everyone one is welcome to stay at Hyde Park Chambers, just not all at once! Once a solicitors, now our family home, we are settling into living life in Plymouth. Our front room is a great space for our family & friends, so we decided our Georgian townhouse was good enough for Airbnb too. Near the train station, a bus stop on our street, walkable to the city centre & a few steps away from a microbrewery pub & local shops, our private room is just right for those who need a bed for the night :)
We have just moved into our new house so the private room is clean, fresh and simple. The house is quite large and has lots of space. The room has a high ceiling and large bay windows. The sofa bed is really comfortable. The room has a large T.V with a selection of DVD's. Please note: we do not have a T.V license but we have an adapter that fits most laptops if you wish to use Netflix etc The room also has a range of blankets, a selection of games and a chair and foot stool. You might hear traffic from the road if you are not used to town life. We discovered this when we moved from sleepy West Sussex. However, its not excessive, just a point if your not used to it.
Within 15mins, we have Co op, Sainsbury's, Lidi, Tesco, a range of charity shops, Fish & Chip shop, Yay!Coffee cafe, Bargain Booze, Butchers, Mutley Church, Central Park with a skate park and toddler park, the University, Tanning shops, Microbrewery - Hyde Park Pub, Jazz Club, the train station etc You can also get onto the Devon Express Way in 10-15mins depending on the traffic lights! Right is Exeter, left is Saltash.
  • My partner and I had a lovely stay at Charlie's this week. She was incredibly responsive and helpful with parking the day we arrived, and was friendly and hospitable when showing us around their home. The family has a lovely friendly home with a high powered warm shower which we were keen to use once we'd arrived. The room was cosy and warm and the bed comfortable, and there was some lovely touches such as a jar of chocolate coins, a welcome sight after a long drive from London. All in all we won't hesitate to stay again if we're in Plymouth again. Thanks, Rob and Helen

A lovely 1-bed flat ideal for a couple, friends or even business traveller in Lipson, Plymouth. Open plan kitchen/living and dining area and a generous bedroom. There's also a two seater sofabed ideal for children and a foldable travel crib available on request. Ongoing refurbishment being done in communal areas and other walls left bare in property but this does not affect your stay or experience.
Clean & tidy, the flat has recently been refurbished. It has a few lime rendered bare walls around the utility area that must be left unplastered & without paint for 12 months. This does not affect your stay but guests with children are advised to ensure that their children do not rub on the walls as they are a bit rough.
It's a generally quiet area. Within close proximity to Plymouth University and approximately 10minutes drive to Plymouth City centre. There is a bus-stop 1minute walk from the property.

Hey! 3 mins to the Registry Office. Food Glorious Food The city is full of different places to eat from morning to late night. Takeaways, Day Market food, and restaurants. All within walking distance. We have Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Turkish, French, Greek, Fast foods and Traditional British. Or bring food with you and cook in the kitchen. We appreciated all the lovely thoughtful touches including the trinkets, the fresh milk on arrival and tea & coffee. The hospitality was great and the hosts were warm and welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. We will definately look to the Den to stay should we return to the area as it felt like a home away from home.

  • Lovely room in a great location with really wonderful hosts. I had to book with Annette and Ian last minute because of a change on a work trip. I got a very quick response and was able to check in at my convenience. I felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle with a lot of equipment outside the house and Annette even saved me a space directly outside. I was warmly greeted and made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

  • Annette's place is very clean, private and easily accessible to frequent public transport. You can expect a friendly welcome and as little or as much engagement with the hosts as suits you. The bed is comfortable and the private bathroom has in floor heating and a spa bath. The location is super quiet with no through traffic so you will get a restful sleep. There are woods nearby and you will likely see squirrels, birds, and other wildlife as you gaze out the window. About a mile away is access to wonderful parklands with great walking tracks along the waterways. Highly recommend if you want great hosts and a quiet, relaxing place to stay.

The Mews is the perfect romantic cottage for 2 - complete with a woodfired hot tub in your private garden and a roll top antique bath in the bedroom! It is situated on our coastal organic dairy farm on the South Devon coast. French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub.
Situated on Lambside Farm, this lovely detached stone building was originally a barn and home to a domesticated gos hawk. Named in honour of its former resident, it has been thoughtfully renovated to provide delightful, modern accommodation for two people. The Mews has been arranged to give complete seclusion and offers an open plan living area downstairs with a woodburner, and a modern kitchen with a small dining area. There is also a small cloakroom downstairs with a toilet and basin. Outside is a delightful secluded patio and garden with your own private wooden woodfired hot tub – so romantic! A spiral staircase winds up to the first floor, also open plan, which has a king size bed and bathroom area with toilet (discreetly hidden behind the bookcase), hand basin and a wonderful antique roll top bath, quirkily painted like a cow! French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub. The kitchen even has a Nepresso coffee machine so you can make a perfect expresso to enjoy while sitting on the patio in the morning sun! The Mews has a telephone (incoming and emergency calls only), underfloor heating downstairs, central heating upstairs, a private parking area and all the standard facilities that we offer. Superior 100% white cotton bed linen and big fluffy towels and bath robes are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We put delicious local organic milk in the fridge for your arrival – with our compliments, along with enough recycled paper toilet rolls, Fair Trade tea, coffee, sugar and local organic herbal tea to get you started!
In the heart of the South Hams in Devon, Carswell Farm is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and the coastal path is right on the doorstep, providing stunning walks that lead to quiet beaches and picturesque villages. The farm is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an exceptional variety of wildlife and plants, including some extremely rare species that are encouraged because the farm is organic. Carswell is one of the few places in the country where you could spot a cirl bunting and there is a pair of faithful Peregrine Falcons who nest on the cliff here every year. We have an abundance of wildlife – hares, bats and badgers are just a few of the residents you are sure to see, and many more besides. We have barn owls and little owls residing in the old barns behind Lambside House – walk down the farm lane and see if you can see them out hunting.
  • An amazing place to stay, very clean and cosy.

  • A great house in a nice location. Everything in the house was clean and tidy, with the linen and towels proving to be exceedingly comfortable. The host was easily contactable and made sure our stay was as good as possible. Wouldn’t recommend this stay completely!

    Fergus2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect base for exploring the South Hams. We had friends & family to visit in the local area so didn’t need any additional information on things to do , but the information & offer of recommendations was readily available. The cottage is spotless , cosy & has everything you need . The host was wonderful & we have already recommended the cottage to family & friends . ( There is no shop in the village so do stock up before you arrive - there is a supermarket close by & a farm shop ) There’s a pub & fish & chip shop directly across the road & we used Papa Raj for an excellent Indian takeaway ( they delivered ) If you’re reading this you’re probably considering staying , & I’d highly recommend you do.

  • This cottage is amazing. Very stylish, very clean and very comfortable. An incredible amount of thought has gone into the interior decor. We loved it and hope to stay again in the future. Jordan is a star, quick to respond and just lovely to deal with.

    Tracey2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay from start to finish was hassle free and amazing. The cottage itself is so beautiful and cosy it made the prefect base to explore Devon from. It had everything we needed and more! Jordan was amazing he gave us all the information we needed for a seamless arrival and departure, and was on hand to provide the help we needed. We just want to thank the cottage for such an amazing stay!

    Ellie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • A really well appointed cottage. Everything you could need and clean, bright and warm. The pub across the road did great food. We also want to the next village- rose and crown in Yealmpton. Perfect location to explore lots of lovely beaches and villages and a short drive into Cornwall too! We had a lovely break and the weather was kind too!

    Karen2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with all mod cons, infact quite futuristic with the door locking mechanism and auto low level lights even in the bathroom! Hot water tap instead of kettle. Lovely setting with easy access to Plymouth and surrounding areas. Lovely pub opposite. Altogether a diamond of a place , owners have thought of everything you could possibly need with fabulous comfortable beds and towels provided. Will stay again.

    Teresa2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage, easy drive to Plymouth and surrounded by loads of walks and character, we really enjoyed ourselves here

    Joe2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was fabulous. Stylish and cosy, just as it looks in the photos. It has everything you need and we really enjoyed our few days relaxing there. The outdoor space to the front has the sun for most of the day so it's lovely to sit out in. Check in and out was really easy and Jordan was quick to respond to any questions. The area is lovely, with lots to do nearby. A car is needed but there was always parking right outside the cottage. The pub opposite was nice with friendly staff and the fish and chips next door were very good.

  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! WOW!!! This is EXACTLY how an Air B n B should be. Wonderful accommodation, amazing location and outstanding hospitality and value from Cathy and Jago. The room was spacious, sparkling clean and bright as was the wet room and there’s a second bedroom to boot!!! You could feed an army with the free snacks provided and I’m actually worried that if I write too good a review I won’t be able to get back there soon as it’ll be fully booked 🤣 I’ve stayed in many Air B n B’s and this is by far the best and I’m genuinely excited to have found my secret bolt hole to get away from it all. Cathy and Jago are two of the nicest hosts you could wish to meet, they’re so laid back and easygoing but at the same time nothing is too much trouble for them and they make you feel genuinely welcome and let you get on with whatever you want to do day or night. Highly highly recommend that if you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, head here for a fantastic chilling break. Pete

All in all a most intriguing weekend. Thank you so much for your hospitality Cathy and Jago! From Maren & Angela

  • A great host and a very clean spacious and comfortable room and private bathroom. Had the added bonus of an outside garden terrace area. Access to the fridge and microwave meant we could prepare some breakfast. Just remember to pack a plate.

  • great location, stylish apartment & helpful people. parked the car in the arranged spot and had a very relaxing few days, with plenty of bacon sandwiches at the pier!

  • Steve’s place is just great, the location second to none, with very good communication throughout to ensure our stay went well. Lots of luxury with some lovely and thoughtful extra touches. Gorgeous beds and bedding, great showers and bathrooms, toastie and warm and really cosy generally. We stayed as family group for a long overdue family reunion and having three en-suites made it a far nicer option than a hotel. Being able to relax with those views and just chill, if only one night was total bliss. Will be highly recommended by us all.

  • The first thing all my party did was walk around videoing every room, such was their delighted reaction upon entering this superb apartment.. The pictures really don’t do this place justice, views from the enormous lounge windows over a low wall are of the sea, no other buildings restrict.. Superb attention to detail, good WiFi beautiful white towelling, under floor heating in our bathroom.. 4 bedrooms (3 en-suite).. On road parking spaces provided at £7-50 which, when we studied the parking meter charges nearby was a great deal.. Very large lounge, Alexa being a nice touch.. downstairs to light airy bedrooms with remote controlled blinds.. Well equipped kitchen area, dining table fridge and freezer etc: Burlington taps and showers! this place just oozes quality and attention to detail, obviously a labour of love which we all greatly appreciated.. 10/10

This is also my home so I will be in and around the house at times. If guests could keep the house clean that would be much appreciated.
  • Amazing host, with great hospitality, room is very comfortable and stylish, and breakfast is included, great value

  • Had an excellent stay. Room was perfect. Shannon’s mum, Karen, who stays in this location was an absolute delight and was extremely helpful. Was my first stay in a room in a shared space and would 100% do it again. Karen offers a light breakfast every morning and even went out of her way a couple of days to make rolls for my lunch and even a fried breakfast for one morning of my stay. It is useful to know that Karen has four rooms available at her location meaning she has plenty of space for you and a friend of you require a place to stay in Plymouth. Overall my experience was fantastic and if I am ever working near Plymouth again I will not hesitate to book up with Shannon and Karen again. Thanks again and hopefully will be back soon!

  • Cozy room, comfortable bed, friendly host. I recommend Karen & Shannon for hospitality.

  • Shannon's place is amazing. Her mother Karen is a gift to this earth. She is kind-hearted and friendly. Always open for a nice conversation and truly caring 😉 I would definitely recommend this place to others and give it a 10 star rating if it was possible. Light breakfast included which was a delightful bonus plus became good friends with Oscar so I felt right at home. A++

  • After my first night here, I already fell in love with the bed! The room looked just like in the pictures and was very clean, as was the rest of the house. The house has a large kitchen and 2 washing machines and dryers which are free for use. I also had some nice interactions with the other guests staying at the house. So, I would definitely stay again.

  • Sergio has been helpful with many things. The location itself is very good, as it is so near to the uni and within walking distance to the town. The room where I stayed is very clean, as well as the washroom and kitchen that is well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Very good location, bed is extremely comfortable and the location is literally across the road from university. The location is very ideal for people who are visiting Plymouth for the first time because it is located at the bottom of the hill so there is not much incline to walk.
