Places to stay in Bremhill
Cherry Tree Barn is located in the grounds of Hazeland Lodge, an old hunting lodge for Bowood House estate. A peaceful location, with stunning views and lots to do on the doorstep (including heated swimming pool and tennis court), come and enjoy your own little piece of the Wiltshire countryside.
Cherry Tree Barn is a fantastic converted barn, with 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 4 (plus 1 infant in a travel cot) and 1 bathroom with shower/bath. One double with kingsize bed and one twin that can be made up as a super king double on request. Fluffy feather duvets and pillows (or anti-allergy bedding on request). Bath towels, hand towels and pool towels (when pool is open) all provided. Minimum stay varies - 2 nights Oct to April (min 3 nights in school holidays), 3 nights May to Sept (7 nights during summer school holidays Sat-Sat, but would consider 3 or 4 night stay starting or ending on a Sat). Mezzanine dining area overlooking the tennis court, lounge with wood burner, TV with sky package and free WiFi. Kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Please note that there are 5 steps from the main living area to the mezzanine dining area off which the 2 bedrooms and bathroom are located. Patio and BBQ next to the heated swimming pool (open May to Sept) and tennis court (open all year). Playhouse, slide and swings for little ones. Large wooded garden to explore. Nearby fishing, horse riding, walks and a pub 5 minutes up the road for food and drink. A 5 minute drive away is the wonderful Bowood House and Gardens with kids adventure playground. Also close to Lacock Abbey, Longleat, the City of Bath, Avebury and Stonehenge and many more local attractions.
We live in the middle of the Wiltshire countryside, on a single track road, with just a couple of neighbours and the pub up the hill. We have a number of public footpaths on our door, one of which is a disused railway line where you can walk or cycle for miles uninterrupted by traffic.
  • What a gorgeous place to stay. We needed to stay close to grandparents and found Marion's property. It was spotless, spacious for a family.of 4, warm and so v peaceful - Marion obviously takes pride in making it as welcoming as possible! We didn't try out the pub in walking distance nor the tennis court nor the pool but we will most definitely be back v soon before it's totally booked up!

  • Marion was great from start to finish. Made us feel at home from the very start, with great communication throughout and also had some lovely additional touches. Place itself is very cosy and homely, would definitely recommend and we will also be returning in the summer time!

  • A lovely little hideaway. The perfect location for feeling that you’re away from it all, when you’re actually only a few minutes from all the amenities you could need. Marion was very attentive and maintained fantastic communication when it came to organising our stay. No request was too much and she happily provided us with anti-allergy bedding, a cot and a high chair to make our stay as simple as possible. The property had a wonderful, homely feel. Everything was beautifully clean and kept so cosy and warm. We’ll definitely be booking to stay again!

Thank you for taking time to discover more about The Tiny Barn, a self-contained studio set in rural Wiltshire. The Tiny Barn is newly refurbished and believed to have been built originally as a gardener’s bothy and store. The Tiny Barn is a cosy, open plan studio with ample natural light and high quality finishes and fittings making this a comfortable and perfect location for couples or a single traveller to enjoy what Wiltshire has to offer.
The Tiny Barn has a kitchenette with a two ring hob, built in larder fridge and a combination microwave (includes grill and convection). There is a gas-fired combi boiler providing heating and hot water. The TV is a ‘smart’ TV. The WiFi is dedicated to The Tiny Barn and has no data restriction. There is a dual USB charging socket. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided as well as bathroom toiletries. One side of the full size double bed is against a wall. There is a separate WC with basin. The compact shower, approximately 600mm square, is tucked away round a corner and is open to the studio’s sleeping and living areas. Parking is located immediately outside the studio. The Tiny Barn does not have its own dedicated/private outside space but there is a bench to relax on from where to enjoy the surroundings and the wonderful view.
Studley is a small hamlet with stunning views over rural Wiltshire. There are three pubs/restaurants locally, all walking distance. Bowood House, the stately home with Capability Brown-designed grounds and also with hotel/spa and golf club, is very close, either by a short drive or a longer walk. The Sustrans NCR4 is a short walk or cycle ride away. Avebury and Lacock are a short drive away. Bath is quite close, easy to drive or a 11 minute train journey from Chippenham.
  • The little barn is a lovely comfy clean space. Very nice location and well furnished. Exactly as described thank you very much

    Brett2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely place. It doesn't feel small inside and has everything you could need. Really quite, private and lots of little touches that make it even nicer! If you are a bigger person, the shower cubicle might be a bit tricky as it is quite small. Other than that, gorgeous!

    Abigail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication with local advice as booked at the last minute. The barn was a great space, extremely quiet, clean and comfortable and was a great location for Bath and the surrounding areas. Great value for money and would stay again if in the area.

    Dean2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny but awesome! The owners have managed to pack all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay in a small footprint. The space was immaculately presented, and precisely as described. The communications with Nicky & Mark were very quick, and they were extremely accommodating. Very highly recommended.

    Paul2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful tiny house to stay in! The Tiny Barn is nestled in the countryside with stunning views over the fields. Despite its small size, the Tiny Barn has all the mod cons anyone would need for a short stay. It was perfect for our work trip with only a 10 min drive to Calne. I would recommend staying here. Also the local Nepalese/Indian restaurant is fantastic!

    Pilyn2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The 'Tiny Barn' with a big heart. We arrived during storm 'Ciara' and the barn was thankfully warm and cosy. The Barn has a well equipped kitchenette with a large fridge. The decor is beautifully done. The bed is very comfortable, comfy lounge chairs and a great place to eat overlooking the pretty countryside. The Barn was sparkling clean and had everything you needed. Nicky & Mark were great hosts, their communication was instant, they were discreet but there if you needed them. We would certainly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

    Sarah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This will be a long but necessary review. As the first guest to experience The Tiny Barn, I feel I should give details for future guests to know exactly what's in store especially when it comes to the size. Understand, this lives up to its name. Therefore, space is limited. I'm 5'2" and everything fit perfectly for me. If you are taller and require a ton of space, do not book, then complain. Be well aware there is a 10 minute walk to the closest bus stop. If you want seclusion, this is definitely it! Those are NOT negatives, just things to be cognizant of before your visit...otherwise...everything was/is immaculate! I wanted a week away from the city and was provided an excellent country tiny cabin. The bed was comfortable, had every amenity needed and great wifi service! Nicky answered any question I had and was available when needed. I was able to cook meals, store food in the fridge and use Netflix effortlessly. If you want a beautiful secluded retreat, this is your place! Not a sound and meters and meters of gorgeous country. Would definitely return!

  • Welcoming and confy! We felt at home. Only stayed one night, Mandy welcomed us very warmly. She seemed so nice we were sorry we did not have a chance to know her more and stay longer ! Confortable room, everything we needed and more was inside. I liked the small attentions like fresh milk and butter in our fridge. Coffee, chocolate, tea, sugar, two cups, different sized towels etc.. There is even a TV in the room ! Thank you very much, and I would recommend a 100%

We would not hesitate to stay here again. The room was spotless with tea and coffee making facilities, along with a toaster and preserves. The bathroom is large and shower is powerful and easy to use. There are lots of extras here too, from soap to hair conditioner/body wash. You will want for nothing. Mandy's home is perfect for any length of stay and we are looking forward to staying again. Thank you Mandy for your kindness and thoughtfulness, you are a super host with a stunning home. • I had a lovely stay at Maggies it’s so peaceful and has everything you could need I would love to stay again

  • This was our second stay at Maggie's place, and it was a very comfortable stay too. We briefly saw Maggie upon check in, and then had to rush off to an event, but the studio was warm when we arrived, and there were little touches of milk and biscuits with the place being really clean. We had a good night's sleep again, and cannot thank Maggie enough for providing an excellent value for money airbnb!

    Rachael Louise2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely loft apartment tucked away behind Maggie's house. We found that everything offered was present and in good condition. We would have loved to stay longer to explore the area. Clear directions were provided beforehand which was a real help. Would certainly recommend to others.

Chippenham is in western Wiltshire, at a prominent crossing of the River Avon, between the Marlborough Downs to the east, the southern Cotswolds to the north and west and Salisbury Plain to the southeast. The town is surrounded by sparsely populated countryside and there are several woodlands in or very near the town, such as Bird's Marsh, Vincients Wood and Briars Wood. Suburbs include Cepen Park (North & South), Hardenhuish, Monkton, Lowden, Pewsham, Primrose Hill, Englands, Frogwell, Derriads, The Folly, Redland, Queens Crescent, Lackham, Fenway Park, and Hill Rise, loosely corresponding to local government wards. We have easy access to the motorway (M4) and also train station.
  • Kirsty is an amazing host, quick responses, understanding and flexible. Parking is good, location is quiet and room is comfortable. 5 starts all the way and I recommend staying here.

An amazing space in the town centre, opposite Chippenham railway station! Huge comfy mezzanine bed, modern kitchen/dining, lounge with hammock, study, gorgeous stone bathroom - the perfect base in the west country!
This building was the stables for Monkton House before the railways arrived in 1850. Now converted to a spacious studio apartmentm it is a beautiful, if unconventional space, high ceilings and open plan. It features: * super comfy king-size bed with memory-foam mattress, hand-made mosaic hardwood headboard * beautiful stone-tiled bathroom with huge shower * study area with hand-carved Mexican desk, Herman Miller chair, free wifi etc. * hammock in lounge to relax or swing (it's super strong!) * fully equipped modern kitchen * sofabed for extra guests (small double, 120cm wide) * beautifully restored 1960's sliding doors allowing the room to open to outdoors (summer only, unless you like the cold!) The studio is situated just across the road from Chippenham railway station, with direct line to Bath, Bristol, London etc, and buses to local villages such as Castle Combe and Lacock (Harry Potter). Being in the town centre, all the shops, restaurants, and takeaways are a minutes walk away. There's also a cinema around the corner. It's a fantastic place to stay... so make yourself at home!
Being right by the town centre there is lots to see and do, and yet the apartment is tucked behind the garden of an old cottage making it very quiet. For outdoors there is Monkton park just next which door offers a great space for walking, running along the river, and there is a golf course and health centre with pool, spa, squash courts, and full fitness programmes all available on pay-as-you-go basis. A few minutes walk away is John Coles park which has a band stand with live music playing in the summer months. Both parks have excellent childrens playgrounds. The old town has plenty of character, and there is a museum giving free tours, and a comprehensive tourist information office. All 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
  • The place was great with a great vibe. It’s extremely close to the station, making it very convenient. Very close to the park too which is great for dog walks. It was a little cold in the apartment this time of year but definitely manageable! Overall, a really great stay. They were also really accommodating with an early check in and offered to keep our bags past check out time :)

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to the station, river and shops, comfortable bed and stylish space with everything you need to cook a meal. There’s even a hammock to relax in! Hope to visit again soon

  • What a beautiful, architectural and great value place to stay at. Right by the train for easy ride out to Bath or beyond. You cannot find better.

    Paul2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was lovely and a really cool place to book. Only thing was parking, £6 a day over the road in a pat and display car park but apart from that was nice. Bath is close by and would recommend going there. Absolutely beautiful city

    Patrick2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, 2 minutes from train station and literally minutes from local shops. A lovely quiet space. I would definitely stay there again.

    Samantha2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is nice, big and clean. It has everything needed for a short or long-term stays. It's also stylish and full of little details that I loved. It's close to the train station and bus stops + shops, river and a park nearby. Traveling with train to Bristol is 25 mins., to Bath - 10-15 mins. Check in is easy and independable, Alex is a great host and responds fast. Enjoyed my stay and can definitely recommend.

    Valeria2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • A very enjoyable stay a very spacious studio very close to train station, but no noise. Very clean and ideally placed. A great host with all the essentials and great recommendations. Easy to follow check in. Safe. Would highly recommend.

  • This place is unreal. Is is a minute away from the train station and town centre. It’s interior is even better than on the pictures and is equipped with all white goods needed to making a living. I would definitely stay again if needed. Best Airbnb I’ve ever rented, it did exceed my expectations.

Kellaways House Cottage is located in the small village of East Tytherton, Wiltshire close to the nearby market towns of Chippenham and Calne in the north of the county. Its rural setting provides a tranquil atmosphere without being too far from local amenities. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists, but if you want a bit more excitement, it is also perfectly situated to explore places further a feld in Wiltshire, East Somerset and the South Cotswolds.
Kellaways Cottage is adjoined to Kellaways House, our family home. The buildings were once part of the Moravian Church, and has had many functions and interesting occupants. Kellaways House was built in 1785 initially as a home for single sisters of the Moravian Church, quickly becoming a girls school a short time afterwards. Educating women in these times was very progressive. The school continued until the outbreak of the Second World War, where it became the temporary headquarters of the Moravian Church in the UK during the Blitz in London. After the War, it soon became a private residence being owned amongst others by modernist artist Richard Smith and perfumer Mr Fidges. Kellaways House Cottage was a later addition to the school in 1830s, originally for the headmistresses as their quarters and study.
East Tytherton is a small, friendly village, surrounded by low lying farmland and hills. At the heart of this active community is the village hall and Moravian Church, which hold regular events. It is a popular place to stay for visitors wishing to enjoy the surrounding countryside, either on foot or cycling. It is also strategically placed to explore nearby market towns of Chippenham and Calne. Slightly further afield is the UNESCO city of Bath, the historic prehistoric sites of Wiltshire, and the beauty of the South Cotswolds. Locally we have several good pubs and restaurants in nearby villages, and we are very lucky to have an award winning Maud Heath Vineyard right on our doorstep.

  • Very clean and tidy apartment with good host communication in a perfect location (15-30 min.) for seeing the famous sights of Wiltshire--from Lacock to Silbury Hill. Parking was easy and ample. A restaurant in walking distance, and a spectacular view to the valley and an ancient church. Do note, however, that there are other lodgers in bedrooms on the same floor and above, and that there are two cats that can be a bit noisy. Nevertheless, a great value in a unique and historic space.

Beautiful tastful interior. Fluffy towels, and use of Neal’s Yard Remedies during your stay. My home is peaceful, tranquil and in a great location for exploring the Wiltshire country side. Breakfast tray off assorted Cereals jams marmalade, breakfast biscuits available for you.
I have recently returned to Wiltshire my home county after living in various homes/ locations on the South Coast of England, for over ten years living by the sea. There I also welcomed guests into my homes for short breaks and even much longer stays. Wiltshire has so much to offer:- If you are not already a member of the National Trust, I would highly recommend becoming one. There is a different National Trust property and location to visit close to my home almost every day of the week. This is truly a gem of a property, Calne and my stunning home is very centraly located for all the historic attractions Wiltshire has to offer. If you feel inclind then you don’t have to travel to far to explore the truly beautiful Wiltshire countryside and all we have on offer. Stonehenge, or The World Heritage site at Avebury. Visit Lacock and it’s famous Abbey, or spend your day wandering the pretty streets of Bath. Bath Christmas Markets are a must which start this year on the 22 November. These get bigger and better every year. Or perhaps take a trip to Salisbury and visit the famous Catherdral, or pop inside and have a peek at Edward Heath’s (the former Prime Minister) Home “Arundells” in the Cathedral Close.
This property is very centrally located not only for bus stops but also a stroll into the historic town of Calne. its also a great location for visiting the superb market towns beyond. There is a daily bus service to nearby Marlborough which leaves Calne throughout the day. Well worth a trip if only to pass by the pretty villages with their chocolate box cottages on route. You can also get to the historic town of Devizes very easily by bus or by car. Walk up the famous Caen Hill Locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal after take your pick for lunch in the many cafes, bars and restaurants.

  • A lovely trip. Provides you with the perfect opportunity to be at one with nature, and get back to basics. Perfect for walkers, as it is in the heart of the countryside. A cosy cabin filled with love, and everything that you need. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

    Charlotte2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff and Sue were amazing hosts! Excellent communication and hospitality. The cabin is exactly as described, but so much better. Although we arrived during a storm the cabin was very cosy - we will definitely be returning.

    Paul2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the cabin, our puppy was in her element there and we would love to return. There is a lovely positive vibe around the place and people are very friendly. Plenty of space and privacy. 10/10 for what we wanted 👍🏽

  • Exceeded expectations, beautiful cabin and suroundings,

    Ashby2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved spending time here. It was peaceful and relaxing and it had everything we needed to make some food and lots of cups of tea. The views were beautiful. The fire was amazing and we eventually got it going haha bit rusty at first but we got the hang of it and it made the place very cosy. The rugs and hot water bottles were great and very much needed as it was so chilly. Being out in nature was wonderful. This is exactly what we needed. We will definitely recommend this cute cabin. Thank you for hosting us.

  • Amazing stay at Rebecca's ! Very thoughtful, easy going, welcoming & warm, really cozy place, I had a great evening !

  • Rebecca’s place was lovely, exactly what I needed for my short stay! Would definitely stay again.

    Sally2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is a great host, welcoming and friendly as are her two cats and dog. Well, maybe not so much the cats, who seemed indifferent to my presence, but that's cats for you! :-) Rebecca's home is exceptionally clean and tidy, the bedroom is freshly decorated and carpeted and the bed is comfortable for those who like a firm mattress, as I do. The house is located in a very quiet residential area. All in all I can highly recommend Rebecca's place and would have no hesitation in staying again.

    Craig2019-11-01T00:00:00Z

    David2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ms. Rebbeca is a friendly host. She has two lovely cats and a friendly dog. The place is a bit far to walk from the local train station; but the bedroom looks so nice and clean, and the bathroom furniture is just great, definitely better than my expectation. I recommend Ms. Rebecca's place to everyone.

Beautiful and cozy double bed (larger than a queen bed) with adjacent bathroom with electric shower. The room has a view of the garden.
Lyneham is a quaint British village with pubs, small stores and cafes. We are 15 minutes from Junction 16 of the M4 Swindon West and 30 minutes from Bristol. The home is close to the countryside and places of historical interests. The house is clean and updated. The kitchen was remodelled in November 2017. The bedroom is freshly decorated. The living room was also recenty redecorated.
Lyneham is a small village 15 miles from Swindon and 30 miles from Bristol. We have a village pub that hosts sky sports. We have a church, gas station and local library. We have Indian, American diner on the way and Chinese take away together convenience stores and cafe. There is a pharmacy and village hall that hosts various craft fairs etc. There are lots of places of historical interest including Lacock Abbey and Golf Course, Avebury with its medieval stones, Tudor towns and also Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. The M4 is only 10 minutes away giving access to the west coast including Somerset, Devon and Cornwall .
  • One of the best air BnB places I have stayed at. Highly recommended, especially if you need to be in Lyneham, RWB or West Swindon.

    Craig Robert2019-09-27T00:00:00Z

  • Christine is a great host and is always available for a chat. The house is clean tidy and very comfortable, it was exactly as I needed. Unfortunately the only thing missing is a good local pub, but there are plenty just outside the area. Lots of kittens to entertain you.

  • You must like cats. Off road parking, clean, warm and very comfortable. Genuine friendly hostess, Christine is an excellent hostess.

  • Christine is a wonderful host. it is a comfortable home and Christine is really easy to get along with.

    Hannah2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Christine is a very considerate host. I have enjoyed staying in her home. It is comfortable to be able to do your own thing and also to be able to sit in the living room and chat with Christine.

    Hannah2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's place is a first-class, well-appointed, spotlessly-clean, accommodation in a quaint area near Swindon. Her home was setup with all the amenities to make the stay comfortable. I especially enjoyed the Apple TV and all the movies she has available to watch. Her bathroom has a nice shower upgrade to make the water hot and pressure relaxing. In the morning she had hot coffee ready and tea. The WiFi was strong and I was able to get lots of work done while I was visiting. I was amazed on how beautiful her two Persian cats are that are in the house, and her sweet dog Coco is well trained and friendly. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. We especially enjoyed the Mallard Pub. Would gladly stay again.

A self contained top floor flat in an early period Victorian house, set in the heart of the Wiltshire Downs. Containing everything you would need at home, the apartment has a spacious double bedroom plus a twin bedroom, sleeping four. It is totally self sufficient, with sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. The Cherill White Horse a mile away with fantastic walks, and hundreds of traditional west country pubs around the area.
I do have two dogs who love people coming to the house as they think they have come to play a game with them - so as much as they will love you, it is probably not suitable for anyone who has an allergy to dogs. Access is via the main house front door and staircase and has off street, free parking available, with a village shop/post office 50 metres away. I will most likely be downstairs, and available for anything you might need.
We are within v. easy access to all the following: Avebury, Silbury Hill, Bowood House/Gardens, Lacock Abbey etc., Caen Hill Locks/Devizes, Atwell Wilson Motor Museum, Fox Talbot Museum, Kennet & Avon Canal Pubs/Restaurants: The Black Dog,The Dumb Post, The White Horse, The Black Horse, Coconut, The Black Swan etc. Longleat, Stonehenge are not far as well. The White Horse/Lansdowne Monument 1 mile. Chippenham (7 miles) is a useful town and has a railway station.
  • Jane is a brilliant host and Deepwell House is not only delightful, it is cosy and comfortable. The Kitchenette has everything you need to prepare a snack or a meal. Jane left me a welcome pack which comprised of milk, butter, marmalade, croissants, crisps and cereal which was very nice. There is a 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee. The wiFi is very good and the parking a bonus, although you could park on the road. You also have Freewiew TV to watch. The Double bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay at Deepwell House and would definitely return

    Tom2020-02-12T00:00:00Z

    Simon2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Expect an instant home. Such good value. A very relaxing stay especially that i worked long hours. Netflix, I found it on the third day. But a lovely surprise. Lots of surprises in fact but I won't spoil your experience dont book a hotel. Book here. I have watched enough four in a bed, to know that her gorgeous loft at at Deepwell would pass the test. Will be a very fond memory. If you want peace plus you are within walking distance of Avebury. A hike but "dayable ". Well done Jane.

    Judith2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Jane's home. We loved the accommodation it had every thing that we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. It was in a great location to explore the surrounding area. We would recommend her holiday home to our friends. Thanks from the Jones family.

    Gary2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent space and fantastic value for money. The kitchen and lounge space are great to make it that much more than just a bedroom and lets you cook your own meals. Jane provides lots of cooking equipment and utensils which are all you could need for a few nights, plus a great welcome pack which was a nice surprise. Bathroom is also well equipped with a good shower and excellent water pressure. Lounge area has a nice comfy sofa and a smart TV mounted on the wall with Netflix / AmazonPrime (assuming you have a subscription) in addition to freeview. The over all space is bigger than it looks on the pictures, although one thing to note is that at 6'3" I was only a couple of inches off the ceiling - so might be a bit compromised for anyone over 6'4"! Entrance is via the front door, with a key, and up a couple of flights of stairs to the top floor apartment, so you can be nice and private. I'd certainly consider staying here again.

    Colin2019-11-15T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderfully comfortable and well Equipped charming accommodation. Great location and friendly and obliging hosts. The morning pastries are a great touch and a generously stocked fridge. Highly recommended

    Alison2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay! Super thoughtful touches - like providing oat milk and tasty treats when we said we were vegan - and the place is super comfy with lots of character. Our little dog loved it too!

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying at Kathy & John's Airbnb. A lovely location just off a quiet and rural village green. Although attached to the house the annex is very private and feels like your own little apartment. It's beautiful decorated and we felt very much at home. We particularly loved all the little touches...fresh milk, juice, beer, cake, shower gels, shampoo and a fabulous continental breakfast. We also really appreciated the tips from Kathy and John of the best local places to visit...we can highly recommend Lacock which is only 15 mins away and is just like stepping back in time with its quaint cottages. The filmed quite a bit of Harry Potter there so is especially "magical". Thank you very much for all your hospitality. We will definitely be back! x

Stay in our recently converted Old Forge. This was actually a blacksmiths Forge around 200 years ago The Forge has been fully modified to a modern standard but still retain the Olde world character of its history. The Forge is a self contained property complete with kitchen diner, shower room and toilet, double bed and under floor heating. Also a flat screen TV with sky TV. .
The Forge is a self contained property complete with kitchen diner, shower room and toilet, double bed and under floor heating. Also a flat screen TV with sky TV. The kitchen has a full size oven and hob, microwave, toaster and kettle as standard but any additional equipment could be provided if required... My wife loves to cook.. Shower room has a modern cubicle, toilet and basin complete with shaver point. WiFi is fast fibre broadband
We are located just off the A4 Chippenham to Calne road at the small village of Studley. Right next door to the Black Dog Inn which specialises in fine Gurkha cuisine. Bowood House and Gardens are within walking distance. Also the historic village of Lacock is a short drive away. We are on a main bus route to Chippenham train station and so easy public transport access to the beautiful city of Bath is only 10 minutes on the train. There are plenty of lovely walks in the locality as well as plenty of great pubs. There are numerous supermarkets and shops in Calne which is only a short bus trip away.

Beautiful country apartment, old wooden beams, hardwood floor, 2 bathrooms with walk-in power showers, private kitchen. Town centre, shops, restaurants, Chippenham railway station, all a minutes walk away. Make yourself at home! * Fast fibreoptic internet * Luxury white linen 100% Egyptian cotton
The apartment used to be a hay loft of the stables of the local manor house. Original wooden beams, hardwood flooring, and other features. Now converted to luxury accommodation with all mod cons, 2 bathrooms with walk-in power-showers, private kitchen, internet etc Situated just across the road from Chippenham railway station, with direct line to Bath, Bristol, London etc, and buses to local villages such as Castle Combe and Lacock (Harry Potter). Being in the town centre, all the shops, restaurants, and take-aways are a minutes walk away. There's also a cinema around the corner. It's the perfect place to stay whether for business or pleasure. For convenience and independence, there is self-service access via keysafes, but I or a nice neighbour will always be on hand to help you with anything you might need... so make yourself at home in my home! There's no better place in town to stay! Babies / toddlers: the apartment is thoroughly baby / toddler tested, has a child-safety gate, and hardwood enamelled floor for easy cleaning. There is room to leave a pram in the communal hallway downstairs. Additional guests: there is a 120cm wide sofabed (a bit tight for 2 adults) in the lounge, and a 135cm wide mezzanine double bed for upto 4 extra guests to sleep. There is also a second bathroom, so less waiting for the shower! Parking is free on the street from 4pm till 10am, and all day Sunday. There are also various paid parking options, including one space at the property (this is prioritised for guests with mobility needs), please enquire if needed.
  • I have stayed at several of the flats hosted by Alex and his team and the experience has been absolutely perfect! The location is stellar....across from the train station, a small grocery story across the street, close to city center, close to coach stops, very near the park along the River Avon. Would highly recommend any of Alex's flats!

My place has great views over the surrounding countryside, in a quiet and peaceful setting, all in your own space. Close to the architecture and culture, restaurants and dining, in Bath, a World Heritage site. We are within easy reach of Stonehenge and Avebury and the picturesque film locations of Highclere Castle, Lacock and Castle Combe, and with all the Cotswolds to explore. A cosy place to relax in beautiful countryside and picturesque villages with great walks and welcoming pubs.
We have a beautiful contemporary light airy and spacious loft for your entire use. There is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen.
We live on the edge of the small hamlet of Spirthill, on the top of a ridge with far reaching views over the Dauntsey Vale. There are good pubs in the villages of Foxham (2 miles) Hilmarton (1 mile) and Christian Malford (3 miles). There is a good network of footpaths and the road through the village is very quiet and off the beaten track.
  • Gorgeous place to stay, just like the pictures and description and more! Nice to escape to the country, all you can hear is the birds singing which is lovely. Emma was fast at replying to any questions we had and came and said hello, even letting us check out later which was very kind. Nice and cosy with central heating and the shower is amazing! Well worth the visit and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

  • The loft is exactly as expected, decorated to a lovely, homely and welcoming standard and cosy throughout. We were provided milk, hot cross buns, honey, apricot jam and butter which was a lovely touch. The bed is super comfortable. It was easy to check in with the lock box and the area is so peaceful. Lots of magazines and books as well as a couple of games to play. A very nice stay, thank you so much.

  • Lovely cosy space, thoughtful and very hospitable hosts and a fantastic location for access to lots of things to do! Didn't get to use the wonderful looking shower! But will definitely recommend to others!

  • What an amazing stay! Room was beautiful, clean and so many thoughtful little touches, simple things like a universal phone charger. Had no need to communicate with Donna but all information was promptly sent through on booking. We will most definitely be staying again!! If I could give more stars I would. Thank you

  • Very clean

    Xuanying2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely space, excellent large comfortable bed, great shower, useful kitchen facilities. It’s about a half an hour walk to the station but close-by to lovely villages and Bath and Cotswolds. Would be an excellent base if you had a car. Small but very well appointed. Also, Donna was very quick and very nice with all communication. Thank you again Donna for a lovely stay.

    Sarah2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Donna has a perfect little place in a great, calm and quiet location in Chippenham. A nice 20 minute walk along the river to the centre of Chippenham and an easy, quick train ride to Bath makes it a great place to stay. Lovely and clean on arrival, everything we needed for the few nights we stayed and an extremely easy check-in process, backed up by a parking spot right outside! Overall a great annex with lovely amenities and a tidy, calm and relaxing feel to the whole place! Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Thanks again!!

  • It’s a lovely place to stay where you’ll feel immediately at home. A really nice bathroom with the rain shower and a great bedroom from where you can overlook the beautiful area. We were warm welcomed by Rebecca and her friendly dog Lily. Rebecca’s hospitality is great. Nice fresh breakfast each morning and she lets you to use her kitchen if you want. Or relax and read some in the living room.

  • This is a stunning place to stay, not just the view and amazing countryside, but the house itself is stunningly done, spotlessly clean and worth a visit on its own. Rebecca is a super host and will go out of her way to accommodate you. So nice, I highly recommend a stay here very soon before the price doubles. You will not be disappointed.

  • Rebecca's place is beautiful, the room was huge as was the bathroom. The added bonus was a lovely breakfast and lots of time playing with the dogs. The view is amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

    Linuda2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay here, Rebecca was very welcoming and her house was very spacious and clean with an incredible interior. Rebecca was there to welcome me on arrival and was accommodating even though I was late due to traffic, and it was not a problem coming in late at night after my work function. Breakfast was supplied in the morning and tea and coffee is available 24/7. Over all it was a lovely stay and really good value for money. I would highly recommend staying here.

Across the road from Chippenham railway station, this beautiful studio used to be part of the stables of the local manor house: the "main line" stop before the railways arrived in 1850. Original wooden beams and flooring. Now converted to luxury accommodation, ensuite bathroom, kitchen, washer/dryer, wifi etc * Fast fibreoptic internet * Luxury white linen 100% Egyptian cotton
The apartment used to be a hay loft of the stables of the local manor house. Original wooden beams, hardwood flooring, and other features. Now converted to luxury accommodation, ensuite bathroom with walk-in power-shower, kitchen, internet etc Situated just across the road from Chippenham railway station, with direct line to Bath, Bristol, London etc, and buses to local villages such as Castle Combe and Lacock (Harry Potter). Being in the town centre, all the shops, restaurants, and takeaways are a minutes walk away. There's also a cinema around the corner. It's the perfect place to stay whether for business or pleasure. For convenience and independence, there is self-service access via keysafes, but I or a nice neighbour will always be on hand to help you with anything you might need... so make yourself at home in my home! There's no better place in town to stay!
Being right by the town centre there is lots to see and do.
  • A great place in a great location! Would highly recommend

  • Alex's place is clean, stylish and has a good location. Parking isn't too bad on the street either. Self checkin is easy.

    Junior2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location, few minutes walk from train station, and town centre. Quick response from host. I told them I was working nights so they provided earplugs to reduce noise from the garage next door, very thoughtful. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

    Shafiqah2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • THis is a very conveniant location, with two conveniance stores within 3 min walk, plus all the take aways in Chippenham. Makes being away from home base easy.

The Old Pump House is a beautifully renovated space with exposed beams and quirky mezzanine bedroom. It's adjacent to our Grade II listed cottage in the quiet, historic village of Langley Burrell. You'll be just 1.5 miles from Chippenham station (Paddington 60 mins), a 5 minute drive from the M4, Junction 17 (Bath 10 miles, Bristol 25). There's even an award winning pub next door, renowned for its homemade pies and real ales - a perfect spot to relax after exploring the Wiltshire countryside.
In the current climate we want to re-assure guests that we take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As well as carrying out a deep clean, we also ensure that surfaces/handles etc. are wiped down with antibacterial solutions prior to arrival. A quiet countryside retreat with everything you need to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. The Old Pump House has a lounge, dining area, shower room (powerful shower) and kitchen with microwave and fridge/freezer (there are no other cooking facilities - just a microwave). Sleep in the eaves in a sumptuous king size bed (upstairs) with Egyptian cotton sheets, duck & down duvet/pillows with countryside views from the bed! Fast wireless internet. TV. There is also a private outside courtyard with table and chairs for guests to use. There is a great pub next door, famous for its pies, real ales and home cooked food. We have ample parking next to The Old Pump House. The Old Pump House is cosy and therefore perfect for one or two guests at a time. I'm afraid we cannot accept bookings of more than 2 people.
Access to countryside walks, the river Avon and plentiful places of interest in the surrounding area. The historic villages of Castle Combe (featured in the film War Horse) & Lacock (Harry Potter films) are close by. Bath is 10 mins by train or 15 miles by road. Bristol is 20 mins by train or 28 miles by road. the market towns of Chippenham (1.5 miles), Corsham (6 miles) & Malmesbury (8 miles) offer outdoor markets, shopping/places to eat & drink. We are happy to make recommendations for more great places to visit in the area. Whilst you can get a taxi to the property from Chippenham station (1.5 miles) it is advisable to come by car. This will enable you to make the most of local attractions.
  • Absolutely gorgeous stay! The space was even lovelier than the photos. John was super attentive, brought us fresh pastries in the morning and responded quickly and helpfully to a last minute request for nice walks in the area. Couldn't have been a nicer stay.

  • Lovely getaway very relaxing and great hosts would definately reccomend

    Andrew2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place was really lovely. The location is great for a few nearby villages, Bath and Stonehenge etc. The Langley Tap next door is great (yes, especially the pies). The pastries in the morning for breakfast are a really nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

    Herpria2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Spotlessly clean. With everything you need for a short stay. The stairs are steep and the bedroom ceiling is low so this is not the property for anyone infirm or disabled. The bed, however, was very comfortable.

    Ian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely break at the Old Pump House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants somewhere clean, modern and peaceful to stay. John was very welcoming and the pastries, popcorn and cream eggs left for us were a lovely touch. The pub down the road serves great food and it was great to be able to walk to it.

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend John's place. Great location, comfortable, clean and lovely thoughtful extras.

    Natalie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Old Pumphouse. We loved waking up to the breakfast treats each morning. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cute romantic getaway! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Would love to go back!

  • John was an excellent host, and made our stay really enjoyable. The Old Pump House is a lovely location to stay if looking to travel in Bath. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean, we had fresh pastries delivered every morning and it has one of the comfiest beds we've ever stayed it. We would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here.

This stunning apartment is set in the heart of the town within a minute from the railway station and all the shops etc. Perfect base for business or to explore the area. * Fast fibreoptic internet * Luxury white linen 100% Egyptian cotton
Fresh modern space with seamless oak flooring throughout, modern fitted kitchen with washing machine etc, wet-room bathroom with walk-in power-shower and built-in hardwood vanity unit. Bedroom with solid Ash double bed and built-in wardrobes. Additional guests: there is a 120cm wide sofabed in the lounge. This is a little tight for 2 adults. Please note that for a third person linen can be provided but currently there is no extra bed - please enquire before submitting a booking.
Right in the town and yet a minute walk beside the river and you can enjoy the country air. Drop into one of the many local pubs, the Wetherspoon with terraces over the river sells a good selection of local ales for less than 2 pounds a pint! The high street is pedestrianised so very friendly to walk through, and contains all the shops you might need. Keeping the tradition of Chippenham as a market town, there's a market here on Fridays and Saturdays selling local produce. The historic aspects of the town are well preserved and there are many examples of buildings dating back many hundreds of years, as well a good museum, tourist information centre, and a specialist history centre. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
  • A haven just off the high street and really convenient for transport, shops and restaurants. Immaculately clean. Well appointed. Great communications from Alex the host.

    Andrew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • Great apartment and location

    Dominic2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at Alex's place was great!!! The flat is spacious, nicely decorated with all the amenities and above all sparkling clean! It is located in the town centre really close to train station (3min walk) and the bus station/National Express that takes you both to London and Bristol (2min walking distance). It is also very close to supermarkets and restaurants as well. Both Alex and Maria are very helpful and quick at their responses. I would definitely recommend Alex's place and it will be my first choice if I comeback to Chippenham!
