The cottage is next to our house and is a cosy, well equipped place to stay for either a commuter mid week or someone wanting to escape for country walks or bicycle rides. It has a small paved terrace for admiring the view. It is within a mile of Pitt Hall Barn, also close to Oakley Hall, Highclere Castle and Newbury Racecourse to name but a few. Hawks Barn is a newly refurbished, self contained, two bedroom getaway located a stones throw from Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). Surrounded by stunning views and walks, the barn is just 10 minutes from Newbury and Whitchurch stations to Paddington and Waterloo. Opposite the main house, with ample parking the barn has a king bedroom and a twin bedroom. Downstairs is a modern sitting room with a 7-seater l-shaped sofa, large TV, fully fitted kitchen, and a dining and work space.
