Everyone adored our closeness to the phoenix park - the pool room looks into the park.There are many activities in the park including the zoo, the hop on hop off bus, segways, rent a bike to name a few.

This recently renovated stone cottage is cosy and inviting especially with the sun shining on the patio or the stove lit inside. The exposed stone walls, limestone hearth and deep blue painted walls are just some of the features of this beautiful cottage. Across the courtyard is Bartholomew's Loft (go to Airbnb Bartholomewsloft), an upside down space, another fabulous place to stay in the heart of The Boyne Valley.

Total cost varies depending on total no. of guests and length of stay. Ideal if attending weddings at Cabra Castle, Tankardstown, Slane Mill or Darver Castle. The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

Despite our seclusion, we are just 10 minutes from the M1 motorway, 1 hour from Dublin and within easy reach of the major historical sites of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. (Unfortunately the layout of the building renders it unsuitable for wheelchair users).
