We welcome you in our lovingly furnished apartment in an old monastery smithy from the 18th century. Core renovated and equipped with all conceivable amenities, you will enjoy your stay here with us on the Obermain on 120 square meters. Underfloor heating, fireplace, pinball, 55 "TV, 100 mbit, plenty of space and tranquility and a unique ambience in unique surroundings form the basis for an unforgettable stay in a beautiful cultural region on the Obermain. The apartment extends over the entire ground floor of a monastery smithy from the 18th century. A kitchen, a large bedroom, a beautiful bathroom with a freestanding bathtub as well as the fantastic living room with cross vault and the sun-drenched conservatory make your wishes come true for relaxed living with charm on 120 square meters. 2 terraces for breakfast, or to wrap up the day, expand the condo into the outdoor area. The apartment is unfortunately not childproof in some areas. Our guests have access to the entire ground floor of the house with separate entrance and 2 terraces. I can be reached by phone at any time and if desired also within 20 minutes on site. The apartment is located in the middle of the beautiful Upper Franconian cultural landscape on the Upper Main and was formerly part of the Cistercian monastery Langheim as a monastery smithy. The year of construction of the house is around 1750. The house has been renovated with much love and expertise under monument protection conditions and shines today in new splendor with the latest technology. The area is known for its brewery views, restaurants and its cultural monuments (Banz Monastery, Fourteenth Saints' Day). The thermal bath in Bad Staffelstein with its large sauna world can also be reached quickly. Hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and canoeists will find an Eldorado in the vicinity (Franconian Switzerland, small goat fields valley, Wiesental, Main) according to their needs. The loft-like ecological wooden construction style makes the apartment unique. Heating is done with wood stove. There is also underfloor heating in the bathroom and next room. In the sheltered garden area there is a sauna, cold water shower with bathtub, loungers and dining area available for you. Surroundings entice with numerous outdoor activities.

Wonderful apartment, great location, parking lot

A warm welcome to our stylish new apartment in Bamberg. Located right at the Michelsberg with its wonderful church and former monastery and close to the Konzerthalle it is only a 10min walk to the old town. At the same time our newly build house is in a very quiet neighbourhood and in the middle of nature. From the apartment you have direct view into our garden with its old trees. Close to the city and part of nature. Big plus in Bamberg if traveling by car: Your parking lot is on our property.

The over 100-year-old half-timbered house was lovingly refurbished in 2017 and is now looking forward to its guests. It can accommodate two people. In front of the house are terrace and garden. Flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and radio provide entertainment. The bathroom has a floor level shower, sink and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need in addition to kettle, coffee maker & fridge. Not far from the city of Bamberg, located on the outskirts of Franconian Switzerland.

Our second floor flat is perfectly located in the quiet 'Wunderburg' district of Bamberg which is about 10-15 mins walk to the old town. 5 mins away are two of Bamberg's best known breweries, Keesmann and Mähr. Both offer a wonderful collection of beers and local food . Booking is highly recommended. Here you will also find a Rewe supermarket with a baker. The main train station is approx. 15 mins walk.
