Welcome to Camp Stardust! Relax in ultimate privacy, rekindle romance and enjoy the great outdoors, wildlife and views from this unique waterfront cabin. TEMPORARY COVID note: so sorry to say that we have suspended all new reservations for March, April and May. Will update as the situation evolves. We are taking reservations beyond that, as we do believe this too shall pass. Be safe.
This is a back to nature experience in an exceptionally comfortable home. Sightings have been otter, beaver, loons, owls, eagles, bear, deer, coyote and a moose has been heard (but not seen - yet). Hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, downhill and x country skiing nearby. Camp Stardust comes with 4 kayaks and a canoe in warm weather. 2 sets snowshoes in winter. We do get fully booked up here (lots of repeat guests!). If you can't find availability that works for you, please see our other listings, we have 6 rental houses in the area, all unique and very nice. Camp Stardust has 500 feet of private waterfront with dock and boathouse. The sight of the morning fog lifting off the lake is worth the early rise. At night we turn off the lights, turn on the fire and enjoy the refllection of the moon off the lake. Wildlife sightings are a common bonus. This camp has 2 bedrooms, one queen bed, one double. One bath (shower only), an outdoor shower (in the warmer months), indoor propane fireplace, outdoor firepit, full kitchen, weber grill, good wifi, 40" flat screen for DVD's and netflix movies (but no cable). NO CELL service so we have a landline. The reading/tv room has gorgeous views of the lake for those lazy, hazy days. WINTER The inside of Camp Stardust is like being inside a snow globe. It's all windows, so snowstorms are an amazing experience here. A unique feature is that the lake doesn't freeze (it's moving water), so there are water views and wildlife year round. Otters are our favorite. We supply a list of local hikes, ski resorts, snowmobile rentals, restaurants and other attractions. PLEASE NOTE: An all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary to navigate the woodsy driveway from Nov - Apr during snow season. SPRING, SUMMER, FALL: Lots of lakes, rivers and mountains to hike to and explore, or take advantage of our incredible location directly on the best kayaking spot. Kayak 10 minutes to the right to Lake Piseco where you can enjoy a swim in the clear water with sandy bottom. If you are an experienced kayaker, 30 minutes to the left is remote Big Bay Lake - this may require a carry over some rocks dependent on level of water at the time (level changes daily), but that is gorgeous as well. The Boathouse provides very easy access to the 4 kayaks and one canoe, so no need to carry them anywhere. Most of our waterfront is too shallow to swim, but is amazing for kayaking and seeing fish and wildlife. Boats available May 10-Oct 30. MORE ABOUT THIS CABIN This is a no parties, no smoking, no pets, allergy sensitive household. Due to our close proximity to the water, we have limited septic and well capacity, so we have a strict 4 person limit on the property at all times. We do our best to keep a pristine and comfortable home for our guests, we are sure even the most discerning will be happy. This is an exceptionally private, secluded property, however it is not remote. It is easy to get to, we are down a private 200ft dirt driveway directly off Rt 8. There is a small bridge nearby that separates the outlet (where we are) from Piseco Lake, and you can hear (but can't see) the cars going over the bridge, which is the only thing we would change if we could. Our minimum stay varies throughout the year...please send exact dates and we will let you know the policy for that time of year. Rates range from $160 night (midweek off season) to $360 night (weekend in summer). Put dates in to see what the rates are. Housekeeper works Mon and Fri only June through Oct - so all arrivals and departures have to be on one of those days during that time. Winter we are a bit more flexible. Minimum age to rent is 25 years of age unless otherwise approved or with a parent.
Hamilton County was officially designated "Frontier Land" by the Federal Government due to it's vast wilderness and sparse population. It is stunningly beautiful in all seasons with great outdoor exploration opportunities. Piseco has limited entertainment venues - just outdoor beauty, lakes, rivers and mountains. Speculator has shops, grocery, restaurants and is 15 minute drive - still limited however.
  • Camp Stardust was absolutely incredible! This secluded piece of heaven was exactly what we needed to unwind and just relax. Maura’s place is absolutely stunning with amazing views!! We can’t wait to book our next trip here!!

  • Idyllic retreat with incredible views and homely touches. Had a fantastic stay.

    Dominic2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Camp Stardust is absolutely perfect! If you are looking to escape society for a few days then this is the place. We expected a nice remote cabin by the lake but what we didn’t expect was how impeccably clean, comfortable and convenient the cabin was! It was stocked with everything from dish soap and utensils to board games and blankets. You do not need to bring anything besides the food you are planning to cook! There is not a store nearby so make sure to bring with you what you plan on eating (we stopped at a Walmart along the way and stocked up on food and drinks) . Our stay was lovely and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway!

    Elma2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean, easy directions, beautiful views in the winter. It was comfortable and warm and has extremely comfortable couches with great wifi and Sonos sound system.

  • Maura was incredibly thoughtful and helpful during our entire stay. I warmly recommend any of her properties for a vacation.

  • An amazing cabin in the Adirondacks. Wonderfully appointed, easy to access and with eveything you'll need for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Great view over the water and forests nearby, with more than enough space outside to relax and recharge. The small tv/reading room with a view out on the water was, on a cold day, perfect as a space to read and watch the birds outside, and the main lounge area with the gas fireplace provided a comfortable space in the evenings. All said, a wonderful cabin!

Our rustic but very comfy lakefront cottage with private beach in the front and miles of wilderness in the back makes this a true Adirondack vacation. Multiple trails, cliffs, creeks, small lakes and meadows literally out the back door of our cabin
The cabin is the perfect get away to get in touch with nature. The lake is 50 feet out of the front door with a private beach and the perfect swimming spot with cool clear water and sandy bottom. Children love this lake because they can walk out for 200 feet and still only be in a few feet of water. Listen to the loons as you sit on the bank overlooking the lake and the mountains. All of the water to the cabin is drawn from the lake so please DON'T DRINK THE TAP WATER. You must bring drinking water. Washing, showering and doing dishes are perfectly fine with the tap water. Nights can be chilly, even during the summer months, so bring blankets/sleeping bags to your liking. No linens or towels are provided. There is a small paddle boat on the beach for use but please use at your own risk and wear the provided life jackets. Bring a fishing pole and try to catch one of the many fish in the lake, sunfish, trout, or bass. It is a great place to reconnect with nature and explore the beautiful Adirondack mountains.
  • Peace, quiet, beauty. This place has everything you could need. And it's so peaceful and cozy

    Christine2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's cabin was a great place to relax and enjoy the Southern Adirondacks. Our family enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone looking to have a restful time "away from it all."

    Jeffery2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was just as promised. Fishing was great and neighbors were all friendly. Had a great time.

    Gretchen2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin in the woods, very comfy beds, everything you could need, cabin gets very hot during the day but doesn’t matter because there is a great screened in porch. The lake is very shallow which is perfect if you bring kids. Scott was super responsive and gave us great instructions and the place was very clean! We loved it!

    Kristen2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Just book this! It’s amazing! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed a peaceful weekend enjoying the lake and local hiking trails. I’d be content to spend the whole summer in the swing on the porch. It’s the best coffee and reading spot ever! We kept thinking that we should have brought our kids- they would have loved it too. It was great for the two of us, but would have been great for a family trip too. The cabin was perfect- the kitchen well equipped, and the bed comfy. It was great to see the lake from the bedroom. We loved the option of the fire pit by the lake or the house. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality!!!

    Jenny2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, super peaceful. Well worth the money if you're looking for a beautiful and quiet getaway.

    Teri2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. The cabin was secluded, comfortable and relaxing. The view of the lake from the bedroom was beautiful every morning. The stars at night were incredible and listening to the loons was awesome . We hardly left the cabin and lake area. The netted porch was the best for reading. The lake was refreshing and the paddle boat was fun. We did the Nine Corners Lake hike which had a clean, blue lake at the end that was wonderful to swim in. Everything was great, really nothing to complain about.

    Lital2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our vacation stay at Scott's cabin on Stoner Lake. It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was clean with accommodations for at least 6 people. It was very quaint, out of the way with a spectacular view of the lake. We would highly recommend the cabin for the perfect getaway in the Adirondacks.

Cozy house on Oxbow Lake. If your looking for a private get away for your family and friends in the heart of the Adirondacks with the privacy and space to entertain and the option of local stores and restaurants near by along with hiking, fishing, canoeing, site seeing and great views then you found it!
This is a two story house/cottage that is in Lake Pleasant New York in the heart of the Adirondacks.
There the Oxbow Inn, a local restaurant, is walking distance from the house. Speculator is a few miles away where you will find a number of restaurants, general stores, boutiques, a grocery store, hardware store, laundry mat, library, churches etc. There is also a golf course, other camping sites and many lakes and waterfalls along with plenty of hiking trails.
  • Kayaks were great fun!

  • Great place to stay!

    Joseph2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a modest and private stay. With friendly touches, and comfortable beds.

    Thomas2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. We enjoyed using the Kayaks that come with the place. The oxbow inn is right down the road and within walking distance. A cool place to get some food and drinks.

    Craig2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Lisa and Dons The cottage was very roomy for our party of 8, loads of storage and thoughtful touches and the beds were very comfortable. The boathouse was well equipped. We loved how private the property was. Oxbow lake is very peaceful with excellent bass fishing. For 60$ you can rent a small fishing boat with motor at the motel right down the road. We even saw a bald eagle at the north end of the lake. The climb from the lake access was very difficult but didn’t impact our time in the lake. We had a wonderful time.

    Samuel2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week. House had everything we needed, very clean ! Perfect for our needs.

    Kate2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We just had a fabulous stay on Oxbow Lake! The house is just as described, but I think a bit better than the description! They have everything you could need for your stay, from kitchen supplies to cook with, outdoor needs like citronella candles and picnic covers for the table, to plates and pans and all the goods. The rooms are as described, 1 room downstairs, 2 couches which were comfy in the living room and an upstairs which had 3 beds and lots of space if sharing. The bathroom upstairs was so cute and easy for everyone to share! It does get quite hot so the fans were appreciated. The shed on the lake housed everything you need for some fun on Oxbow lake and we had a good time in the kayaks and even caught fish when we went out one morning! No swimming in the immediate area, although we did find a rope swing across the lake which kids were jumping off of. Food at Oxbow just down the street is great and Speculator is very close to drive to for any needs. We loved the area, hiked Panther mountain and overall had a blast! Thank you again Lisa and Don! Don’t hesitate, rent this place, it’s perfect!

    Bethany2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This house was a dream come true. My friends and I rented it for 3 days and had the time of our lives. So many great memories were made here grilling, swimming at Piseco lake, hiking, kayaking off the property, making a fire, and watching fun summer movies on Netflix. Thank you for allowing us to use your amazing place! I hope to come back someday.

  • Larry's place was great! I highly recommend visiting.

    Trevor2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was super nice and rustic. Larry was available for anything we may have needed but we were completely set. We came up to snowmobile but we got rained out a few days and it was nice spending them in the cozy cabin. Unfortunately there was an ice storm the week before our arrival, so we did not have internet or a working phone at all for the duration of our stay. Larry was very accommodating and said we could use his if the need arose. Luckily we were able to just enjoy being unplugged for a while. But, keep in mind that there is a possibility you could have no phone and no internet and service is miles away.

    Casey2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Larry goes above and beyond for his guests. He is only a phone call away and came over a few times to help us out. He is extremely nice and friendly. We chose to leave a night early because the power went out due to an ice storm. Larry that next morning was over and getting a generator started before some of our party was even up.

    Mackenzie2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay, especially loved the trails right outside the back door!

    Hosannah2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Lodge is very cozy and comfortable. The beds are comfortable. Very nice kitchen and adequately supplied. Once there, you're immediately relaxed. Larry has pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. There is only one bathroom, but there was always hot water, even after multiple showers in a row. I definitely recommend The Lodge.

    Scott2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Trails right out the backdoor. Larry is an awesome host !!

    Cammie2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and host. As described + great hiking close by. As 4 adults and 2 little kids, we had a great time.

    Matthias2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming cabin and host is great! Our teens loved the darts and Foosball table which was great to keep them entertained. Weather didn't cooperate for an outside fire but we will definitely be back to enjoy the place again. Area is wonderful and we did some hiking, biking and enjoyed the nearby beach.

  • Keith was an incredible host. We arrived late on a Friday and he was kind enough to greet us. He gave us excellent suggestions and it made our experience there so much more memorable. The loft was perfect and private, the bathroom was super clean and spacious, the layout of the loft was amazing, and it's larger than pictured.

  • Loved it in summer, loved it in fall ! This is my second time at Nanette's place. It's a very lovely and confy little place, in a private beach in the forest that look like heaven. Nanette and her husband are very nice hosts. They also have three cute and friendly dogs. Would recommand 200% !!!

    Chloé2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very clean, has great views of Raquette Lake and is centrally located between some of great places to hike and relax. You can't go wrong here. Definitely drive to the BBQ place in Inlet if you like BBQ style food. Hands down the best BBQ I've had on the East Coast.

    David2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the bunk house couldn't be better. Direct access to the lake, very quiet especially during the week and at nights. From the dock you have a great view of the stars. There are many hiking trails nearby, and Nanette gave me some really nice tips for hiking. The bunk house had everything I needed. I can only recommend it and will return.

    Christian2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Nanette’s place. The bunkhouse is roomy and very clean. The setting and the location are beautiful. We sat on the dock with our morning coffee, listening to the sounds of the trees and the birds and watching the lake. At night, we made fires in the fire pit. It could not have been more relaxing. Nanette was a great host, quickly responding to every communication. We visited the Adirondack Museum and the Great Sagamore Camp. We kayaked, hiked, took the Raquette Lake boat tour and went to a local concert in Long Lake. What a great way to spend the Labor Day weekend!

    Robin2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location is beautiful, with great water access. The accommodations are exactly as described- basic but comfortable. Nanette is a very responsive host and shared great tips on things to do locally. We had a lovely time here and enjoyed meeting Nanette. Very nice experience!

    Nava2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I came to Raquette Lake to visit some friends and spent a night in Nanette's place. She and her husband were very welcoming and the guest suite was perfect for our purposes. The "bunk house" is tucked away in the woods, right by the lake in a peaceful and scenic spot. The suite looks just like its pictures and is spotlessly clean. It's a great place from which to launch an exploration of the woods, waters and little towns of this beautiful section of the Adirondacks. Thank you so much, Nanette, for your hospitality!

    Alison2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! The fire pit and lean too were perfect as we cooked outside over the fire every night! You couldn't ask for a better view! We fished from the dock, and it was a great place to put the kayaks in and out of the water with ease. Definitely a great area for swimming as well. The bunk house was just as described and perfect for our needs. Nan and Calvin were quick to respond when we sent a question and we actually got to meet Calvin and their 3 furbabies! Calvin was very kind! We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Great location - right on Oxbow Lake in Speculator, N.Y. Perfect space for all couples and families that love the outdoors. Beach area, dock and plenty of space to play lawn games and have a fire at night.
Cabin is close to restaurants, hiking trails, and fishing or savor the amazing view of the forever wild mountains across the lake while sitting on the patio drinking your morning coffee. You will love this cabin because of its location, the outdoor space, including dock for swimming and tying up your kayak. Also the perfect location for winter outdoor sports: ski resorts 10 minutes down the road; 50 minutes and 1.5 hours away; snow shoeing, ice fishing and cabin is located on NYS snowmobiling trails.
  • Here we have a fine little cabin overlooking one of the small beautiful lakes of the Adirondacks with access to the water. With a gas fireplace for cool nights and a comfy couch and arm chairs, it is a great place to settle in after hiking nearby trails or being out on the water.

    Mark2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kimberly's cabin is a cozy little getaway right on a beautiful little lake. The home was spotless and had everything we needed to feel at home. There is even a place to rent a canoe or kayak just a few paddle strokes down the lake front! We went during the week and it was very quiet there. We highly recommend!

  • Everything is brand new and very clean. We stayed in the River Room which has a nice private balcony looking over the river. The location was quiet, peaceful and conveniently located near popular hiking and boating locations. Having a store steps away that makes great food is a plus as well!

  • This is a charming antique motel, lovingly restored and modernized sitting on a little stream very near a large lake. Very clean, with very pleasant and welcoming hosts.

Relax and take a digital detox in one of the oldest camps in the Adirondacks. Built in the late 1800's Camp Killoquah is the perfect place to put on a record and relax as all the cares of the world drift away in this historic property. Wake up to the sound of the loons and epic sunsets on a semi-private lake in the heart of the mountains. With 9 bedrooms, 16 beds, secluded lakefront, swimming dock, 2 living rooms, and large kitchen this wilderness retreat will create lifetime memories.
The place is accessible via boat only. You must have your own boat or rent a boat from town to get to the property. Camp Killoquah is a large lakefront camp for rent on Forked Lake, the most beautiful lake in the Adirondacks (northern New York State). The property has a long and storied past you need to live to experience. Pictures can hardly do justice to this stunning property, which is available for rent by the week, sleeping up to 20 people at once. The memories will last forever. The house has a large kitchen and dining area, a private dock on the lake, a piano, and 9 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It can host everything from a romantic getaway to a large family gathering. The property is one of only two developed camps situated on Forked Lake and is a paradise in the woods. The house and dock face west towards dazzling sunsets. Guests will be required to sign an additional rental agreement prior to booking. If you do not own a boat. Long Lake has boat rental companies that you can rent a boat for the duration of your stay.
You are on a semi-private lake with the closest neighbor about a half mile away. On a busy day we see about 5 boats a day.
  • Camp Kiloquah is truly a dream in the heart of the Adirondacks! We had a group of 13, and were pleasantly surprised not only by the amazing old house and wonderful amenities, but mostly by how beautiful, serene and peaceful the property and lake are. Coming from New York City, we also appreciated that it was a complete digital detox - no WiFi and no cell service – just sweet time together in nature. We loved that the property is only accessible by boat, and had fun exploring the lake on the pontoon we rented. Margaret is incredible to work with and quick to respond to requests - we also had the opportunity to meet her mom who met us at the house making check-in seamless and easy. She showed us wonderful hospitality and even left us some treats and wine from the area. I highly recommend this airbnb - it was a wonderful vacation!

The Ladybug Lodge is an Adirondack cabin a short walk from the shores of beautiful Raquette Lake. It sits nearby Burke's Marina where guests can rent boats, launch their own boat, rent a dock slip, as well as purchase live bait, ice and a variety of other necessities. Raquette Lake is the largest natural lake in the Adirondacks with over 99 miles of shoreline to explore. The lake is spring fed with a natural sandy bottom and is perfect for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, boating, and watersports. There is very little private property in Raquette Lake, with over 80% of the land being state owned and constitutionally protected from development. This gives Raquette lake a different feel than other lakes as it is truly a forever wild wilderness! We recommend checking out Golden Beach state park which is just 2 miles north on RT28. Golden beach is a beautiful sandy beach and a great place to relax and enjoy the water. We also recommend a tour on the WW Durant. They do a variety of great lunch, dinner and sightseeing tours but our absolute favorite is the dinner cruise which we highly recommend! Chef Jim is a Culinary Institute of America classically trained chef and his dishes are out of this world! The food is outstanding and the cruise is an excellent value! Definitely a must see while in Raquette Lake! For a drink or quick bite to eat Tony Harpers pizza half a mile south on RT28 is a great choice, that we also highly recommend! In town stop at the Raquette Lake Supply General Store to pick up any food, drinks, or dry goods you may need. Be sure to check out their in house butcher shop and bakery for unique meats and treats! No trip to Raquette Lake would be complete without a stop at the Tap Room, which is an awesome hole in the wall bar with great food and drinks! We e also recommend heading north on RT28 to Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Experience Museum. Blue Mountain is also a wonderful day hike with amazing firetower views of Blue Mountain Lake and Raquette Lake! To the south on RT 28 are the towns of Inlet, Eagle Bay, and Old Forge which all host a variety of shops, restaurants, and local businesses to explore. To the North are the towns of Blue Mountain Lake, Long Lake, Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, all quaint small towns full of Adirondack charm! Raquette Lake is the perfect central Adirondack location to base your wilderness journey from! We absolutely love it and we know that you will too!
An Adirondack cabin with knotty pine walls, hardwood flooring and leather furnishings.
Secluded wooded area on a dirt road with very little traffic. Relax with no highway noise and listen to the crickets, birds and wildlife. Unobstructed views and minimal light pollution make for incredible star gazing on clear nights! A real cabin in the woods feel that is a welcome respite in our busy technology infused lives!
  • Easy, comfortable and exactly like the description. I would recommend anyone vising Raquette to stay here!

  • Beautiful living room with comfortable couches, kitchen very adequate. Bathroom clean and plenty of hot water for all five of us to shower each day. Lots of bed pillows like a hotel. Just bring sheets and pillow cases and towels as instructed. Enjoyed our stay very much.

  • Nice cottage with three bedrooms. Golden Beach campground, nearby, is good for swimming. The Sagamore camp tour is definitely worthwhile. The general store in Raquette Lake has limited choices, but good meat and other perishables. The nearby pizza and clam place is MUCH better than you'd expect. Verizon cell reception is available in Inlet and Blue Mountain Lake, only. The place is clean and shower is hot.

The dock is the perfect place to reflect and the fire pit is perfectly situated to see the Milky Way while eating s’mores! Can’t wait to come back!

  • It's very rare that you find a place which looks even better than on pictures! This is a real gem hidden in the Adirondack wilderness, the view of the lake is just breathtaking. We loved the cabin too, very clean, spacious and cozy. Definitely will try to come back in the future!

  • A fantastic location on the shores of Raquette Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant autumn colors, and will always remember chilly nights curled around the fireplace with a good Rush Limbaugh book. The kitchen was ideal for preparing Uncle Danny’s chili recipe. We especially cherished early morning paddles on the canoes- tossing a line in the water and listening to the haunting call of the Loon. Could not recommend more highly!

    Jimmy2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • More beautiful in person than the pictures show! This home gave us a true Adirondack experience. The main living areas have lovely views of the lake, and the deck, fire pit, and dock were great places to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen was nicely updated and all the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the toys that were there and the baby gate and booster seat were great to have with a little one around. Short drive to Raquette Lake general store, and 15 minutes to Inlet and 30 to Old Forge for great access to restaurants and stores. Loved the whole experience!

    Evan2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • John's place is far better than it even appears in the photos. It is beautifully decorated in keeping with the "Adirondack-feel" and has everything our family of 9 needed to enjoy a week in the mountains. We appreciated the 2 first-floor bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms for our 2 older parents. The 2nd-floor master suite is very large & amazing; the adjoining bathroom has a shower with 3 shower-heads, a heated floor-and-overhead lights (that we allowed our kids to use because it was too good to-be-missed!) There is a both a sitting room & office space adjacent to the bedroom (with king-sized bed) and a balcony off the bedroom as well. There is a separate sleeping space above the garage that our adult kids took over, giving them privacy and space to spread out in. John was generous in allowing us to bring air mattresses and sleeping bags to fit in a couple of extras and there was plenty of space for all. The dock is spacious and the view is spectacular. We enjoyed going out on John's kayaks, exploring the many islands and adjacent lakes. We took a swim to one of the islands. There are a number of great hikes/climbs to do in the area as well. We stayed on Fourth Lake for nearly 20 years which we loved; Blue Mountain is a bit quieter and more remote and we would definitely like to come back to John's property.

  • Everything you need in one place! Easy to find, plenty of kitchen supplies and amazing views! The lake was perfect and we swam a ton. The paddleboards were a blast and our group used every water craft available for all 8 of us. No need for TV when you have the lake and a bonfire pit! My group wanted to hike, swim, eat, and play board games and we did all of the above and more! We paddled to the general store across the lake a few times for ice cream and other food items. Hosts were fantastic and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

  • We highly recommend this Airbnb. Cozy rustic beautiful and clean. Lots to do in the cabins and at the lake. We never left to go in the car anywhere during our four days!

  • Nothing short of amazing! We had a little family reunion and built many memories. Our hosts were responsive and beyond accommodating. Desiree came to introduce herself and brought our kids a little treat from a local bake sale. The grounds were spotless with a lot of space for kids to be kids. We rented a pontoon from the marina directly next door one day and were able to see the beautiful raquette lake from a different perspective. A few restaurants close by we enjoyed were red dog tavern in inlet about 15 minutes away; great pub style food (wings were great), and the seventh lake house about 8 minutes away and more of a classier place with delicious food. We are already planning our return to Rock and Desiree's place in the future! Thanks again! :)

  • Had a wonderful time here celebrating a milestone birthday! The location on Raquette Lake is ideal: we enjoyed walking to the general store and the Tap Room (also canoed over one afternoon). We rented a fishing boat from marina right next door. Went hiking a couple times with trails only 15-20 min away. Family of loons were in the bay most of the time. Cabins are nicely stocked with kitchen equipment, games, outdoor seating, etc. Showers worked great and plenty of hot water. Had friends and family come up and stay and everyone had a great time. Pretty much a perfect vacation!

  • Great place for a family vacation! We loved the canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. We had a fire almost every night of the week and loved the views of the lake and the loons singing ! A great place to have fun with my family.

  • Wonderful place to stay. The lake access and use of kayaks and paddle boards set it apart. The cabins are quaint and clean. Rock and Desi are there for any questions and to check you in and then let you enjoy your vacation. I highly recommend staying here and plan to again in the future.

  • Rock and Desi have a great place on Raquette Lake. The cottages were very clean and comfortable and perfect for our group of 10. Having access to the kayaks and paddle boards made for lots of fun trips on the lake. We were able to walk to the Raquette Lake Navagation boat cruise on the other side of the lake. They were very accommodating with every question or request. Thank you!

  • One of the most peaceful relaxing settings I have been to.

    Matthew2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Rock and Des met me the second I got there and were great! The power was out (only for an hour) as it was the middle of winter and there was a huge storm. They helped with generators, space heaters, flashlights and more. The place is exactly as stated and is beautiful, right on the water. I use Air BNB a lot for work and recreation, and they were some of the best hosts I've ever had. About a 12-15 minute drive to Inlet for those wondering. This place is the perfect Adirondack getaway!

  • Our experience at the moose cabin exceeded our expectations. The scenery is even more beautiful than the pictures and the cabin was the perfect amount of comfy cozy. Roc was extremely helpful in locating the cabin and then made sure we felt at HOME. this will definitely be on the list of places to revisit!

  • I did not personlly stay at the Moose Lodge it was bought as a gift however I heard nothing but amazing things about the cabin. From the cleanliness, to their willingness to accommodate to a "happy anniversary" note on the counter my parents were nothing less than impressed. They said not only do they want to go back and stay at the cabin again but they will be staying for even longer next time. Thanks again!!
