Quiet and spacious villa overlooking the ocean

The Tree House is an open house surrounded by trees and overlooking the ocean. Located in the village of Sedeoen which adjoins the famous village of Nemberala, it has the advantage of being in a peaceful location, while offering access to restaurants and surf spots in 5 minutes by motorbike, or even at the paddle from the beach in front! Come and enjoy the charm of this calm and spacious villa, and admire the breathtaking sunsets from the terrace or the swimming pool.

The bathroom features four woven pendant lights casting soft shadows on the white walls. A spacious sink area is equipped with modern fixtures, and a round mirror above the sink reflects the surrounding decor. Small plants add a touch of greenery to the space.

I loved the stay at Kapung Kakak! Where shall I get started? First of all the manager Mince "Mihi" and her husband Alex such as the staff were amazingly friendly people. Mince always took very well care of all guests and on top we had a lot of laughters together. Her English is pretty good and she's very interested in Western culture. The cabanas have a beautiful view on the almost privat beach and I enjoyed Yoga practice on my terrace. The equipment in the cabana is simple but there's everything you need. The food is super yummy too! It felt like a luxurious homestay. I enjoyed getting in touch with the local people and especially the kids at the beach and Mihi's daughter (Olivia) friends. They would copy our Acro Yoga practice on the beach and begging for some Yoga classes. It was heart opening experience. I miss them all. I will be back - promised! Thank you all :-)

We had a great time at this lovely place! By far the most aesthetic place I've stayed in Indonesia, there was a lot of attention to the little details, which are often missed. The surroundings are of course stunning, but despite how remote the location they still have high quality ingredients and items - leading to great food, both western and Indonesian. Cindy, the host, was extremely helpful with great local knowledge, and was able to help us arrange a snorkeling trip, a moped and pickup from the Harbour. She clearly cares a great deal about the island, and is active in the community to help it develop sustainably. Thanks for such a great stay!

Location is great and spectacular beach/pool view in the sunset hours. F&B are good in quality but they are lacking Indonesian/local food options. I would recommend this resort for anyone who seeks quality, western-standard stay in Rote.
