The space
You will have access to a spacious and comfortable family beach house that sleeps 8 guests in 4 rooms, with 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite). Our home features 3 Queen beds and 2 Single beds that can be converted into a King-sized bed, upon prior request.

Maximum 2 medium sized well behaved pets are allowed but please pre arrange their stay by entering the details when booking so that the applicable pet fee can be prepaid.

The fully equipped farm-style kitchen, with indoor braai/fireplace and family table, leads to an open-plan lounge with a large smart TV, full DStv suite, and WIFI access.

The lounge opens onto the deck through two sets of french doors, offering breath-taking views of the sea and sunsets. You can relax in the hammock, sip gin and tonics, or watch your kids play in the rock pools, all while enjoying the soothing bird song.

The house also features a
solar-heated splash pool (2.5x3m, 1.5m deep) with pool cover, a fully enclosed garden for your pets, and outdoor braai facilities. The main bedroom, lounge, and deck all offer stunning sea views.

Please not that as our home features a charming thatched roof it has a natural earthy aroma, especially after rain or during the winter months. For those unfamiliar with thatched roofs, the scent may seem foreign, but it’s simply the unique character of the thatch, adding to the cozy, rustic feel of your stay.

For entertainment, you'll have access to WIFI, Dstv, cards and board games, petanque, foosball, dart board (bring your own darts) a solar-heated splash pool, self-guided nature walks, and opportunities to watch incredible sunsets and spot roaming wildlife such as duikers and the resident kit right off the deck.

In case of load shedding, the house has approximately 3 hours of alternative power connected to the WIFI, TV, and some electric points.

Jacobsbaai is ideally situated for day trips to Langebaan, Paternoster, Tietiesbaai, St Helenabaai and Velddrift.

Please take note there are security cameras at our premises. Cameras are located at the pool deck, and around the outside areas of the house . Please read the house rules section for more details.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the house. With parking available at own risk in front of the house in the drive way behind a security beam and gate. The house is fully alarmed with security cameras (please note details)

- Kayak's are available at an additional charge and upon prior arrangement
- Airport collection and day trips available at an additional charge
- Early check-in and - outs can be arranged if available at a half-day fee
- Stocked pantry on request at an additional charge
- Please bring your own beach towels and pet bedding
- pets by prior arrangement only and at an additional cost. Max 2 medium sized dogs.

We supply:
- Firewood & blits (starter pack) and ice (ice machine on the property)
- Small salt, pepper and braai salt
- Olive oil
- Instant coffee, sugar, tea and milk (we do have a french press if you prefer filtered)
-Towels and Cotton bed linen (bring your own beach towels)
- Body wash and 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner

Sunset-sea is situated in Mauritzbay one of 7 bays within Jacobsbaai, a white washed fisherman’s village, set on the Westcoast. A tranquil and peaceful town, off the beaten track with some dirt roads, a small cafe, three restaurants and lots of nature!
