Within walking distance of the entrance to the city center, in the center between Klinikum Kassel (800 m) and the university (700 m): Sunny, cozy 1-person apartment (17 sqm) equipped with everything you need for a short stay. In the lively Weserspitze with restaurants, shopping, cafes and public transport right outside the door.

The space
The apartment is located in a former student dormitory, but is now also inhabited by commuters, singles, retirees and transitional residents such as assistant doctors or trainees. The house itself was built in the 1960s and is very well maintained by the dedicated caretaker. The apartment was renovated at the end of 2025 and furnished for my Kassel stays. It has a kitchenette with induction plate, refrigerator and freezer incl. furnishings, a 90 cm bed, Wi-Fi, a desk and a cozy cocktail chair. The neighborhood in the house is very considerate and helpful, but you rarely see each other.

Guest access
With the key you reach your apartment on the 3rd floor, apartment 24. On the 4th floor there is a large drying room (left at the entrance), which you can open with the front door key.

Garbage: The bins are located behind the building in the parking lot. You can access the rear courtyard via the gate entrance with the front door key, which is located directly to the right of the building entrance.

Other things to note
You can wash daily from 8 AM to 8 PM in the unispace building, about 60 m to the right of the apartment, right behind the Aral gas station. Prices are cheap and the washing machines very clean and tidy. Access is accessible from the street and Wi-Fi is available.

The Weserspitze is a lively multicultural community and is well attended and bustling at all times. In the immediate vicinity you will find all the shops for your everyday needs, whether it is a supermarket (Turkish vegetable market right next to the door), Tabaklotto kiosk (30 m to the right of the door), EDEKA and beverage market (about 50 m behind the ARAL), a laundromat (150 m behind the EDEKA in the student dormitory, access from the street side and open until 8 pm, laundry from 2.00 euros), flower shop (50 m opposite right) and all kinds of restaurants and cafes (mostly Turkish). An Obi hardware store is 1.4 km away, and a Kaufland is a 500 m walk. The neighborhood is warm and rough. Here everyone helps everyone and you know each other.
At the tobacco kiosk, owner Aron ensures that all customers and neighbors are well. Whether you need a screwdriver or tips for the area: Aron knows everyone and everything and is super helpful. If I can't give you the key myself, it's usually deposited with Aron.
