Unwind in the hot tub

This is one of the few places in the area with this amenity.
Some info is shown in its original language.
Avocado cottage is one of three cabins on the edge of a lake in the heart of the picturesque Banhoek conservancy. It is a light, modern cabin with a private, wood fired hot tub, access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the Western Cape. Although it is styled as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for an extra fee. The deck of this cottage reaches out over the lake.

The space
Avo cottage is styled as a one bedroom, two person cabin with a fully functional kitchen/dining area and a private, wood fired hot tub for your personal use. There is a queen sized bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for a small extra fee. The deck of this cottage reaches out over the lake and is surrounded by a hammock net.
There is an air-conditioning unit in the bedroom which can also be used for heating in winter.
There is a wood fired kolkol hottub next to the cabin for your private use and you also have access to our infrared sauna below the lake. If anything is missing from your stay we are always here to help.

Guest access
You will need a car to get into town from the farm. It is a short drive, 10 mins into town and parking is readily available both on the street and undercover during the day. Uber is not always reliable in our area, however if you do take one please do not give out the security codes to access the farm. Meet the taxi at the bottom gate and leave your own car on the parking bay just inside the gate. Guests have freedom to roam over the whole of this 60 hectare farm and are welcome to swim in the dams.
The private, wood fired hot tub is for your personal use.
There is a jetty on the edge of the lake to allow you to sunbathe and swim and an infrared sauna below the lake which is available to guests.

Other things to note
On arrival guests have a welcome gift of a bottle of our own wine, The Menagerie Syrah (tee totallers are welcome to request juice instead) tea, ground coffee, some nespresso pods, milk, sugar, oil & vinegar, wood and toilet paper are provided to get you started.
Should you wish to purchase our grass fed beef or lamb, or a bottle or our exquisite olive oil, please let me know.
