This three bedroom bungalow is a hidden gem behind a fountain with a 180 degree sea view that has been refurbished completely and designed tastefully. Listen to the waves breaking on the rocks while soaking in the hot tub. The open plan living area flows effortlessly towards a covered deck area with spectacular views. Situated a short walk from the famous St James tidal pool with its brightly colored dressing cabins, and minutes from Muizenberg surfing beach. Barefoot luxury never got better!

The space
a Well designed, cabin that is comfortable throughout the year. Three bedrooms all on suite and outside showers offers you a real holiday feel. Barbecue a fresh fish from the harbor outside and relax in the most amazing hot tub with spectacular views. Come and experience the Cape of Storms in winter as well with warm floors and enjoy the original fireplace.

Other things to note
Please note there is no parking on premises. You need to park on the main road and walk about 120 m to the bungalow and climb the 54 steps to get up there , but really worth the effort .Newly installed Fiber Wi-Fi as well as full back up power with loadshedding, never darkness nor Wi-Fi .Please note ,Hot tub is wood fired and needs to be filled before use and take about 2 hours to warm up ,it is connected to the main water supply and we do supply wood for your first use ,there after you need to supply your own wood ,buy from Folk Cafe 5 min walk from the Bungalow.Although we are very fond of pets we unfortunately do not allow any pets due to the property size.

Only a 15 minutes walk from bustling Kalkbay village with its bohemian Restaurants, antique shops, art dealers and ceramicists. Eat at folk, Salt, Satori and Olympia Cafe. After your morning swim at St James tidal pool, walk down to Olympia bakery for the best bread and pastries for your endless breakfast on the covered deck. Fresh fish on the harbor at Kalkies is lowkey and generous. Sundowners at Cape to Cuba with feet in the sand. A must visit for art lovers is the Norval Foundation in Steenberg. Take the train from St James station to visit Simons Town or simply drive and discover the southern peninsula from Kommetjie to Scenic Cape Point. Visit the penguins at boulders beach and take a drive over Chapmans peak to Houtbay for calamari at the Old Chapmans Peak Hotel.

Johannesdal was founded in 2006 by myself and partner Dane. The farm and its houses are our personal gallery and oeuvre. It is here that we live out all that makes us tick. The fibre of who we are is reflected in the gardens, on the walls and in the subtle detail and small corners. We are 2 kids that never grew up and Johannesdal is our playground. We share our playground with our 6 animal children with Lucky and Oscar in the lead roles. By sharing our homes with you, we give you a glimpse in the daily life of two florists and the opportunity of being part of a working floral farm where magic is grown.
