Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Stay in a beautifully restored 1973 vintage trailer with solar power, full kitchen, queen bed, futons, and cozy heat or A/C. Includes free firewood, s'mores, coffee, bottled spring water and endless stars above.

The space
- This spacious trailer is 38’ long and has two large tip outs. There are many windows so you can enjoy the view while you’re inside the trailer.
- The space is heated all winter with three carbon monoxide safe propane heaters, one in each room. There is a large propane tank, so no need to worry about running out of propane, or having to fill it yourself.
- Two Air conditioners will help keep you cool on the hot summer days. Everything in the unit runs on solar, but the air conditioners require the use of a generator. The generator that runs the ac units is fueled by propane and is connected to the large propane tank, so you will never need to fill it up with gas.
- Separate building for shower. Shower house is heated and available year round. There is also a sink with hot and cold running water in the shower house that can be used for doing dishes.
- Stove, oven and full kitchen.
- Outdoor fire pit - wood is included for free. No fires allowed during fire bans.
- Propane bbq grill.
- Located 30 miles from the Grand Canyon.
- Equipped with a large solar system, there will be no problem powering the refrigerator and lights. It will also charge all electronic batteries and devices. All lights and outlets inside the trailer work. Do not use high power devices, such as, electric heaters, heated blankets, hair dryers, water boilers, rice steamers, etc. These types of high powered devices might shut the power down and damage the batteries.
- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, silverware and knives, cutting board, every utensil you can think of, Starbucks coffee, olive oil and more.
- There are foot pumps to operate the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen (cold water only). The water in all containers comes from a local well that is deemed safe to drink. However, I leave bottled water on top of the fridge that you are welcome to use.
- There is no WiFi in the unit, but there is good cell reception so you can use your phone as a hot spot.
- My daughter and I live right down the road in the green house. .

Guest access
You will have access to the entire trailer and acre. It is an easy half-mile drive down one dirt road to access the site. The road is bumpy and can get muddy. It is rare, but if the road is too muddy a high clearance vehicle will be necessary. If you have any trouble getting here let me know ,if I’m around I can come and help. There are cinders laid down for the last 100 yards leading to the trailer, as well as all around the trailer itself. This helps your car and shoes stay out of the mud when the area is wet. It also helps a lot in keeping the dust down.

Other things to note
- There is a key lockbox attached to the deck at the top of the stairs for self check in.
- Extra pillows and blankets are in back closet.
- The kitchen and bathroom sinks are operated by foot pumps that only dispense cold water.
- The sink in the shower house has hot and cold running water and can be used to wash dishes.
- The solar system will have no issues powering the refrigerator, lights, and all electronic devices. IT WILL NOT RUN HIGH POWER DEVICES - THEY WILL KILL THE POWER. THIS INCLUDES, ELECTRIC BLANKETS, ELECTRIC HEATERS, ELECTRIC WATER BOILERS, CPAP MACHINES, COFFEE MAKERS, ETC.
- There is a gas station about 7 minutes away with a small store and a restaurant.

Neighborhood highlights

The neighborhood is quiet, safe and peaceful. We live right down the road. We know all of our neighbors for many square miles. Only a few neighbors are within sight, and the closest is about a quarter mile away. Most of our neighbors work somewhere up at the Grand Canyon or run Airbnbs of their own.

Lives in Williams, Arizona
Hello, my daughter and I live about a quarter mile from our Airbnb in Valle, AZ. I have been leading guided tours on the trails inside the Grand Canyon for twenty years. I started this Airbnb in June of 2019 and I am very happy to have the opportunity to share the experience of living off-grid in a peaceful and beautiful surrounding. I am greatly appreciative for all the guests who have come out to support my daughter and i as we attempt to life according to our passions and dreams.
