The space
Newly constructed rowhome with the original façade maintained. Entering through the front door is an open concept living room and kitchen area with plenty of natural light because of two skylights and a large sliding door to courtyard. The living room has a gray modern sofa (converts into a bed), sitting chair, and coffee table. The kitchen has a large eat-in island made from a restored wood work bench. The kitchen has a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and kitchen sink. It is equipped with silverware, plates, bowls, drinking glasses, wine glasses, french press coffee maker, pots and pans, baking pans, and various other kitchen items.

Past the kitchen and through the large sliding door leads to an outdoor courtyard.

Beyond the courtyard is a separate studio suite for other guests.

On the second level upstairs is the bedroom. It is a loft space (no doors) with queen bed. Large windows overlook the courtyard that bring in a lot of natural light. Past the bedroom there is laundry closet, clothing closet, and private bathroom. The laundry closet contains a washer and dryer unit. The private bathroom has heated floors and a standing shower with skylight overhead to allow natural light in.

This space is an art gallery! The works that are depicted on the walls in the profile photos MAY be different than what is presently in the space. If you are curious what we are showing, ask and we can direct you to the current works.

Guest access
You will access the space through the front door.

The courtyard is shared with the other guests staying in the separate and private studio in-law-suite on the first level. The in-law-suite has its own entrance and your space is fully private.

Other things to note
We enjoy being hospitable!

Location

Baltimore, Maryland, United States

The neighborhood is ideal for leisure or business. We are between Fell's Point, Little Italy and Harbor East. The house is located on a main street and is right in front of a bus stop. There is a 24 hour gas station directly across the street. Around the corner there is a local bank and hybrid café/bar/bicycle shop serving coffee, pizza, and burritos. It constantly smells like fresh bread as H&S Bakery is a block away.

Fell's Point is a charming, nautical, historic neighborhood right on the water. It has some of the best restaurants, bars, shops, live music venues, and a local acting theatre.

Harbor East is a new fancy waterfront neighborhood that has Whole Foods (4 blocks away), Under Armour's flagship store, Landmark movie theatre, Marriott Waterfront Hotel ( 0.5 miles from), Starbucks, and a variety of restaurants and boutiques.

Little Italy hosts various festivals and is a mixture of residential homes and restaurants.

Scott was educated in biomedical and chemical engineering and spent time doing basic science research before he moved his career into the arts where he produced a city wide street art project, worked at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and is now building a talent agency. He has lived in Baltimore over 15 years and knows it very well. He enjoys reading, mountain biking, woding and wine. He is always willing to engage in good conversation, particularly about philosophy and art. Jenn worked in international relief and development for several years and traveled a lot during that time. She is now employed just up the street from our home doing corporate operations and project management. She loves all aspects of food and cooking. Reality TV is a guilty pleasure, and she will gladly play Settler's of Catan with anyone who asks. Jenn and Scott have been married over 10 years. They love their home and want to share it with others. Scott surprised Jenn in Beirut and then traveled to Istanbul to propose in front of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. They spent 3 weeks together in south east Asia (Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia), they have visited friends on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, they went on an educational tour through Cuba, and have spent some time in Europe. Their richest travel experiences have been with local hosts who know the food and culture well. Their lives have been deeply enriched by these experiences.
