While the patio is enclosed there are other areas on the estate where children could get down to the river please be aware of this if booking for small children.
WILDLIFE AND BABOONS
We are also fortunate to be in a more remote part of the Wilderness, this means our home is tranquil and allows you to connect with nature.
This does also mean we are surrounded by wildlife including baboons that have been spotted in the area.
They are very unlikely to come near the house when guests are there, but could enter the house if windows are left open and unattended.
Please ensure you lock up and close all windows when leaving the house or a room. Any damage caused because of failure to lock up will be for your expense.
LOADSHEDDING
Unfortunately, South Africa faces load shedding (planned power outages) and the house will also be affected by this schedule.
The house has an inverter system that powers the Wi-Fi and Smart TV in the living room. Emergency lights, a gas stovetop as well as an outside braai/BBQ are also available to use during this time.
All the restaurants in the Wilderness village have generators and will operate as normal.
Please download the “Eskom-SePush” App and add Wilderness(12) as your location, to get the updated information as it changes.
For any additional load shedding inquiries please contact your host to know how to plan around it.
