A peaceful and comfortable place. The ac was such a relief from the 90+ temps outside, which made sleeping so comfortable. The first night there was a power outage. We since learned this is very unusual for more than a a couple minutes. But maybe pack a little battery fan just in case. So far it's our favorite spot to stay in Guasacate. Very spacious, peaceful, and secluded.. The stars were beautiful. Ian and Sydney answered any questions we had promptly. 5 stars!

Magnifique Maison perchée au dessus de la canopée , la maison est très agréable et complètement ouverte sur la nature dans la partie à vivre au premier étage avec une superbe terrasse et plein d’endroits pour Chill (grand hamac, salon d’extérieur , fauteuils) . La maison est très bien pensé, les chambres se situent au rez de chaussée avec une belle terrasse donnant sur les arbres, ainsi que la salle de bain. La décoration est minimaliste et s’intègre complètement dans l’espace. L’accès à la maison est assez difficile , aussi faut il obligatoirement prévoir un 4x4, particulièrement avec la saison des pluies qui débute car la piste est en terre et peut s’avérer glissante par temps de pluie . La pente est raide ainsi que la colline qui mène à Playa Madera . Une fois sur place , la marche jusqu’à la plage se fait en dix minutes. Il y a des restaurants et bar de plages ainsi que des locations de planche et cours de Surf 🏄🏽‍♂️ . Sebastian a été réactif et de bons conseils . Merci

Nos quedamos en la casa proxima a la piscina, el alojamiento cumplio con todas nuestras expectativas, es muy espacioso, la cocina tenía todo lo necesario para poder organizar nuestras comidas y las vistas son espectaculares. Las habitaciones tienen buen tamaño e iluminación. Además tuvimos la suerte de poder participar de un evento/encuentro que John había organizado y que incluía una cena muy completa en un ambiente súper familiar, recomiendo preguntar a John sobre sus eventos e intentar coordinar la estadía con uno de ellos para vivir esa experiencia también. Gracias por todo John, con seguridad volveremos!

Nous avons passé un séjour de 2 mois plus-que-parfait. Anika et Tony ont été des hôtes super accueillants et très réactifs. Si vous souhaitez vous immerger dans une petite communauté nicaraguayenne authentique, c’est l’endroit qu’il vous faut. 3 plages à proximité, toutes accessibles à pied. Il y a un minimarket à 2 min à pieds pour tous les essentiels. Mon copain a fait du télétravail et le wifi était bien parfait. Un petit bijou! Nous y retournons l’an prochain.

Highly recommended, everything was excellent, the location was great, the house was great, the view was excellent, the host is very attentive and friendly, 100% recommended a very safe place.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place!! The home is beyond beautiful and we enjoyed having two floors and access to anything we needed. The location is the shortest walk to the beach with gorgeous views and surf lessons in close proximity. We would stay here again!!

Casa Makai was a true jungle paradise! The house itself was beautifully designed, even better than the photos, with comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor space was amazing, perfect for relaxing in the hammock. It's a short 10min walk to Playa Maderas (great for surfing) and 3 min walk to Buena Vista Surf Club (excellent yoga). Laura was a fantastic host, very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Corrin e Jacq foram anfitriões excepcionais. Sempre presentes e super diligentes. A casa, por sua vez, é perfeita: excelente localização, equipada com tudo com o que você precisa (e mais um pouco) e extremamente confortável e agradável. Foi uma experiência incrível, que recomendo a todos (especialmente a quem surfa, tendo em vista as duas ondas “world class” localizadas dentro do condomínio).

The house is beautiful, spacious and great for family events. Every room has a private shower and restrooms. My family was so happy with the house. 3 minutes walking distance from the beach and 6 minutes walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. We are definitely coming back to this house. We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! Wir waren 5 Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus und genossen jeden Abend den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang. Das Haus liegt etwas ausserhalb vom Städtchen San Juan Del Sur ist aber mit dem Motorrad oder per Taxi ganz einfach erreichbar. Wir können diesen ruhigen, schönen Ort sehr empfehlen und hatten vor Ort super Hilfe und Tipps bei Fragen.

Primero me gustaría mencionar que Juan Pablo y Uri fueron geniales de inicio a fin, hubo un pequeño percance al inicio de la estadía pero lo resolvieron sumamente rápido, con excelente actitud y nos retribuyeron con creces el pequeño inconveniente. Estamos especialmente agradecidos con Uri por su rápida y excelente atención. Les deseamos el mejor de los éxitos para el 2025 en el cual seguramente regresaremos! Les recomiendo muchísimo hospedarse acá!

The place is very pretty and the host very responsive. She provided an accommodation for the heat. The only downfall was that the water pressure in the showers was at a minimum which made it inconvenient for the amount of time we stayed.

Très beau séjour, petit logement confortable. J’ai passé 3 semaines et c’était super! J’ai aimé l’hôtesse. Toujours serviable, attentionné, proactive. J’ai demandé un mélangeur et elle est venue m’en apporter un. J’ai demandé un endroit pour faire le lavage. Est elle qui s’en ai occupé pour peu de frais. J’ai bien aimé et je vais retourner assurément!! Merci

Everything was clean and clearly well maintained, which made us feel comfortable and right at home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed, yet tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. The attention to detail throughout the property really stood out, from the tasteful decor to the thoughtful amenities. It’s worth noting how well-equipped the home is: it has a generator and water pump, so we never had to worry about any disruptions during our stay—huge peace of mind! Our host was super friendly and maintained excellent communication from booking through checkout. Every question we had was answered promptly and helpfully, and it was clear they truly care about providing a top-notch guest experience. Beautiful new house about a 1 minute walk to the main break at Colorado's. Very happy with the stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Air conditioning worked great. The space was clean and comfortable. Great place!

Our stay at Salty Surf was fantastic! Emeline is a wonderful host, she has all the best tips for the area - Carolina (care taker) is very sweet and helpful too! The A/C in the bedroom worked great, bed was comfy and kitchen has all the basics for cooking. Beautiful spot on the beach, love having coffee listening to the ocean waves. Walking distance to a few good restaurants, coffee and groceries. Surfing is about a 15-20min walk away. Highly recommend this gem in Popoyo!

Enjoyed my stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get around. Peaceful lounge areas and always clean. The perfect place for a surf trip in Popoyo. I felt right at home immediately.
