Our space is a beautifully restored historic ballroom that inhabits the entire third floor of this 1800's downtown building. It's a rare find that's both historic and one-of-a-kind. You will now find 3 separate bedrooms, all with queen beds. One of the bedrooms is a loft style room that overlooks the ballroom, which is now open concept kitchen, dining and living area. You will find one full bathroom and another half bathroom. There are also two separate work spaces in the apartment.

Completely remodeled C&O train caboose with a large deck and an amazing view looking over the Ohio river and West Virginia. A full size Murphy bed, original writing desk, the dining table is an old sleeper bed turned upside down and all the lights are original out of Pullman train cars No smoking inside the caboose. This was a great place to get away from the city and life but not too far away ya know. she had a flushing toilet, like a regular one, made all the difference. Even though it rained i wasn't even upset it was just so relaxing. If you need to get away for a day or two this is the place.

Bears mountain getaway

We were glad to find this place! It was only 40 min from my family reunion, and was a quiet place to stay for the weekend. Hearing the birds from the porch in the morning and evening was great. Located not far from Foodland, we easily got our weekend groceries instead of hauling a cooler with us. The place was just what we needed for a short term stay. We will probably be back again in future years because it's close to where we need to be!
