Also a queen size Tempur-pedic mattress, WiFi, microwave oven (behind a cabinet door), electric tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig, refrigerator, hot plate, bar sink, large TV (with over 250 channels), DVD player, and off street parking. Nothing high-end here (except the mattress) but very comfy, clean, and private. Also the bathroom has it's own on-demand water heater (not shared).

Spend your days hiking among the giants in the redwood forest. Take a 10 minute scenic drive through pasture land to the rugged pacific coastline. Or simply step out your door and take a short walk uptown to enjoy our small town: art gallery, coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping! We allow a maximum of 2 small to medium sizes dogs, upon approval.

If you are looking for a farm stay in the redwoods, come stay with us at this studio cottage with a full kitchen, washer dryer, patio, and fire pit. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. If you would like to spend some time among the redwoods, this is the place -- the small village of Shively. It is near the Eel River for fishing, swimming or just enjoying laying in the warm sunshine. In just a short drive, you can be on the Avenue of the Giants, Founders Grove or Rockefeller Forest where you can view and/or hike among the beauty of the redwoods. Further north is the Victorian village of Ferndale, the ocean or Humboldt Bay.
